Well, I'm taking a 4-H project--Creative Writing, to be exact. In this, I have to write poetry of various formats to complete the objectives. I wish to share what I have so far. It is not my best, but it is decent. I've already posted the story I wrote, but I renamed it "Even Gerbils Must Cope." I'll edit the topic likewise.
Time’s a-wasting while schoolwork beckons
Get off that Facebook
Abandon that Memebase
That essay is due Friday.
Certainly, analyzing the prose of Edgar Allen Poe
May be as painful as ‘The Pit and the Pendulum,’
But wouldn’t an ‘F’ be worse?
Ruining your future, crushing your waking dreams, cursing you to poverty…
Or is that too dramatic?
Just think of your future when you procrastinate.
Time slows down when you’re waiting
Speeds up while you’re enjoying
An activity or show
Time taunts you
Teases you
As you twitch, shake, and stare as the second hand slowly passes
After numerous rotations around the circumference, it begins.
The tension dissipates instantly, and relief enters.
Forget the clock—
Don’t watch the time.
Lose the tension, enjoy your—
