Open Pokemon Wildlife Reserve and Safari Zone

Status
Not open for further replies.
Welcome to the Pokemon Wildlife Reserve and Safari Zone, a group dedicated to the protection and preservation of endangered Pokemon species from all over the globe. Here, anyone can roam and interact with the Pokemon, gaining a better appreciation for the wonderful creatures that populate our planet.
Our reserve spans half a region, with Mountainous, Forested, Snowy and Desert areas that you can explore to your heart's content under the constant guidance and supervision of our many, highly-qualified volunteers. The zone contains state-of-the-art facilities strewn throughout, including cabins, healing centres, and supply stores.

The only thing we require from you is for you to not bring any of your own Pokemon in, in addition to a donation of anywhere between one thousand and one hundred thousand Pokedollars to go towards the preservation of the Pokemon inside the park, and the constant maintenance and upkeep it requires, a form (attached below), and a healthy respect for all the Pokemon.

And lastly, for those who wish to leave a Pokemon at the part that was either rescued or part of an endangered species, it is possible to leave that Pokemon here as well. Please note that extra information may have to be given for the rarer breeds of Pokemon from other regions that we may not be familiar, known commonly as "Fakemon." We thank you for your contribution to the ongoing survival of the wonderful creatures we know as Pokemon.

We do have a few other rules too, although not many.
  1. Make sure to read and follow all the PRP and RP rules
  2. Try to avoid disrespect to any groups or people will be tolerated. You must remember that other people have their opinions, and even if you do not believe in them yourselves, a calm, considerate conversation at the very least is much better than any arguments
  3. The same goes for Autoing, that is, controlling another person's OC without their permission. This extends to making them take hits. If such a situation helps the flow of the story, an agreement may be made between you and the person who's OC you seek to control
  4. No Godmodding either. Your Pokemon or Fakemon cannot be too powerful, or be able to shrug off any hits with no issue. This goes for trainers too, not conveniently finding whatever is needed for the current sitation
  5. It's perfectly fine if you want your character to have your own subplots, or for multiple groups of trainers to act independent to one-another. However, it is always good practice to keep up with everyone else's storylines at the same time, and it is advised not to move the story in a completely different direction to what everyone else is trying to do.

Before I make a forum, I'v got a question. Is this going to be like a rescue team rp, or more of an 'as it goes on' rp for the main plot? Also, can our OCs bring their own pokemon?

Just to point out since this has been an issue for quite some time, if you are using a Fakemon not created entirely from yourself or not having permission/approval to use it, you must obtain permission/approval to use that said Fakemon. (Including mine, as there is a specific format to follow and I have the final word.)

Anyway, the bios are below and I have made them into my template format since there’s quite a bit of information below.

*casually pushes a lot of information with a forklift*

Name: His name is currently unknown, but might be revealed in the RP sooner or later.
Species: Virtutot / Virtual Avatar Pokémon
Gender: Male
Age: His age is currently unknown.
Type: Cyber (Resistances and weaknesses are below.)
Native Region: His native region is Camtonia, a region based on a mix of Cambodia’s past and relevant events.
Ability: Automation (Increases the potency of Cyber-based moves and the speed of executing moves if the Pokémon is in a pinch.)
Appearance (True Form): Virtutot is often seen hovering around when in his True Form, as he has a green, circular body with no limbs whatsoever. He has pale green eyes, a small nose that is about the size of a sentence period and has no teeth in his mouth. There is an antenna on his head that is shaped like a small, green cylindrical line that is often used for his abilities in and out of combat.
Appearance (Avatar Form): When Virtutot is in his Avatar Form, he looks much like a human toddler. He has on green tribal clothing covering most of his upper and lower body with a two piece style. There are some dark green feathers on his head for the purposes of decoration and somewhat hiding a tiny part of his antenna that sticks out of his head still. He wears modest green sandals and is often seen carrying around emerald green daggers or a sage green staff if the situation demands.
Personality: [To be revealed in the RP since this is mostly unknown for now, and it has changed somewhat over time.]

Fakemon Creator: @Kibago
Other: He has escaped from a safari zone before in another RP with another Pokémon, though they may reunite sometime sooner or later.
Poké Browser Entry: "The first Virtutot was originally developed by a geek who wanted a new character for their new role playing game. As a result of Virtutot becoming so popular days later, many more were made, with each one having their own unique features.”
Cyber-Type Info (Defensive):
*NOTE: Any type not mentioned below is neutral to the Pokémon's resistances.

  • Additionally, Cyber-type Pokémon are resistant against Electric, Rock, Psychic, Steel and Fairy; taking only half the original damage from those types of moves.
  • Unfortunately, Cyber-type Pokémon are weak against Fire, Grass, Fighting, Poison, Bug and Ice; taking twice the original damage from those types of moves.

@Kibago accepted! Though I don't know if we should make the previous Safari Zone RP we did canon if that's what you're talking about in the "Other" section of Virtutot's bio

@Mr.Glaceon the RP will take place within the zone, and will mostly just be trainers and such exploring the zone and stuff. Also, no, you cannot bring your own Pokemon into the safari zone, edited the first post to clarify

I wasn’t exactly thinking of that, since I only put that information there in reference to the previous RP.

Also, I might maybe have a Nurse Joy NPC since the little undead dragon might get hurt quite a few times here...

*Toiroca uses Draco Lance on a target dummy to leech some HP and PP*

Name: sapphire
Species: alibino shiny umbreon
Age: 19
Gender: male
Personality: sapphire is a quiet indervidual who prefers to be left alone, but due to his appearance, both pokemon and visitors like to approach him, towards visitors, he is quite nice and goes along with it, being in photos when people want photos, but he acts the opposite to Pokemon, almost immediately blowing them off before they even introduce them self
Appearance: sapphire is a albino umbreon which in itself is extremely rare, but on top of that, he is a shiny, which he hates
Background: sapphire was found by a tourist on the side of the road with a broken leg and bleeding to death, the tourist immediately rushed him to a pokemon centre where he was healed and nursed back to health, from there he was transferred to the wild life reserve and has only recently been allowed to roam freely so he is only getting used to it all
Other: N/A

I might maybe have another Fakemon character that will be with my Nurse Joy NPC since he can’t exactly be walking around with bandages and stuff...

*??? sobs a lot after taking some medicine while trying to comb the roots on his head as perfectly as he can*

Well, what I mean is. An Albino is a person or animal that is completely white. Like their body is completely white. So an albino shiny Umbreon would be the exact same as a normal albino umbreon.
Also of note is that most albino people normally have really bad eyesight

Can I try to explain what I was thinking? Cause my brain went "shiny alibino = white fur instead of black with blue rings" so I did shiny albino with out thinking, so yeah, I mean a umbreon with white fur and blue rings

Name: His name is currently unknown.
Species: Nicaong / Turf Pokémon
Gender: Male
Age: His age is currently unknown, though he is likely young for his appearance and behavior.
Type: [type]Grass[/type] [type]Dragon[/type]
Native Region: His native region is Huniaru, a region based off of China's more relevant events and setting.
Ability: Nimble Recovery (Evading an incoming attack will replenish the Pokémon's HP equal to 100% of the damage the attack would have inflicted and temporarily add damage absorption equal to 50% of the damage the attack would have inflicted. 25% evasion chance is also gained every time the Pokémon gets hit by any attack and is reset when the Pokémon eludes an attack.)
Appearance: Nicaong is a small, dragon-like Pokémon that has a primarily chartreuse body. His eyes are brown, while he has a small nose that is just two nostrils, as his mouth has four small teeth that can be seen when he opens his mouth. A patch of small, root-like protrusions can be seen above his head; giving off the impression of hair. A small, pale green leaf grows in the middle these roots, as the leaf has a linear pattern on it. He has a pale green underside, as his hands have three fingers, while his feet have three clawed toes each. His stubby, tapered tail has some encircling, yellow stripes that are seen around the middle of the tail.
Clothing: [TBA in the RP since Nicaong here is a bit too embarrassed to reveal everyone about it right now.]
Personality: Nicaong tends to be rather reserved when it comes to meeting new people and Pokémon, since he fears that he will be reguarded as an outcast since his species is widely unknown to most of the world. His behavior is often seen by others as being quirky, since he has some weird habits that he is obsessed with. Although he can be rather silly at times, he can still get around the public if he is careful enough to not get a fight started with his short patience causing him to go after the nearest person that pointed him out.
Primary Moves: Pummel Rush, Draco Lance, Frond Blade, Draco Comet.
Fakemon Creator: @Kibago
Other: He is the Grass starter Pokémon of Huniaru.
Poké Browser Entry: "Although Nicaong are typically found with some trainers starting off in Huniaru, they can sometimes be seen in the more friendlier areas of a forest napping near some plants looking alike to the roots on their head to camouflage themselves from ruthless trainers."

Visitor Form:
Name: William Whitman
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Personality: Will is usually an easygoing, kind, considerate person with what he thinks is a good sense of humour. He is, however, the sort of person who will act without thinking at times, and jump to conclusions, though he means well. While he is quick to calm down and laugh it off, Will can get quite upset, especially when his efforts to help are met with annoyance. He does have sort of an affinity with Pokemon, and wants to see as many kinds as he can.
Appearance: Will isn't all that physically impressive. For his age, he is a bit on the short side. His hair is a messy light brown that matches his eyes, which give off an air of being warm and welcoming, but also make him seem a tad immature.
Background: Will had a rather privileged childhood, as his parents gave him every chance he could possibly want to please his obsession with Pokemon. Seeing all these Pokemon increased his love for the creatures, and he decided he wanted to see as many as possible, going to the Safari Zone to do just that, and perhaps connect with a few of them.

Alright, I've done my form, I'll have the RP up shortly

Still room? (FOR MAGIKARP SUSHI *evil smiile* JK can I join?)

Name: Krystal
Species: Mawile (Can she be shiny ?)
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Personality: She's very curious, likes to study and collect things but very aware of her surroundings, she doesn't likes to be close to humans at all but only to ones that are friendly and kind. She likes to play with other Pokemon in the Safari Zone as well. She can sometimes be sneaky and annoying but if you get to know her she's a good friend
Appearance: She has a height of an average toddler. Can mostly be seen wearing the normal Mawile dress but she has a special dress she sewed by her self with a red-ish tinted yellow dress. She doesn't wear gloves like other Mawiles and she wears a hair tie between the jaws and her head with purple balls for decoration.
Background: She was born in a small tribe of Mawiles, though acting different from them they rejected her and left her behind, a group of scientists found her and brought her here
Other: N/A

Too short? (:/

Funny Sans Rat

Previously The Bog Hog
Name: no idea cuz trainer left him at the safari zone before he could name him but he does have a tag that has 'L1512' written on it
Species: Hakamo-o
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: (idk)
Appearance: He has aqua scales, and a shade of blue in his eyes
Background: He was found in a lab, as if scientists were trying to breed a different type of hakamo-o, one that would be rarer and softer (less rough)
Other: When he gets angry he lets off an electric shock, it depends on how mad he is

Well... it appears to be that everyone’s outside, and I suppose my characters might be in their room of the Pokémon Center for a while possibly...

*Nicaong puts his right hand in his mouth*

It was a mistake with the experiment, one of the scientists put in DNA from an electric Pokemon which is currently unknown without permission, the scientist that put the DNA in was trying to make them for war, to make them form a large electric version of them, they were gonna be used as guards for the safari park once the other scientists had found out and neutralized the electric DNA (somehow, IDK) but it is not fully neutralized, the part of the DNA that allows the shock is still active, because they were softer their bark was worse than their bite and they were put in the safari zone (when i say they and stuff i mean singular form, maybe there are more? only you know because you are the creator of the RP) (P.S: The shock isn't that strong to begin with, when he gets furious it does bad damage and maybe a little drizzle (rain) will happen, otherwise it may just paralyze someone

Well, the thing is, scientists experimenting with Pokemon DNA to create war machines is basically the opposite of what the Safari Zone was made for, helping people and Pokemon. Although perhaps a rescued Pokemon that was being experimented on could make sense

But on that note, it can't be too overpowered either. And you can't really just put "idk" as personality either.

he is kind and caring, by bad I mean a little damage. And like you said, he was rescued after the lab had shut down due to an escaped test subject, once the subject was neutralized the scientist didn't go back because of mass damage that would cost millions to fix, the lab became an open site that anyone could enter, he was found by a trainer and was taken to the safari zone, I don't care if he cant have the ability, I was overusing it anyway)
