I mean I just had him moving from Alola but sure.

Also idk bout you, but since most tms are depicted as disks, I was gonna have Rowan carry around a laptop he can insert discs in and that would be how his Pokemon would learn the moves.
that sounds cool, what if it’s like there’s this usb cable to pokeball holder and then if you put the pokeball inside the holder and then put a TM inside like a dvd reader you can do the tutorial that way or you can go to a pokemon center and the machines that are used to transfer pokemon to a professor has a dvd area to use tms on

Ahem
And in Fire Red Leaf Green when TM are used you see the pokemom put the disc to their head and absorb the knowledge or something

Character Sheet

Name: Adam Sorrman
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Description: Black Fedora, Black Eyes and Messy Hair, Black Vest with White T-Shirt underneath, Black Leather Satchel/Backpack, Black Cargo pants and sneakers
Personality: Carefree and easy going, playful with most pokemon, doesn’t know what he’s going to do with his life yet
History (Optional): Adam was raised in Lavender Town as a mostly normal kid. He didn’t really have the desire to go take on the league and become champion since he wasn’t as ambitious as other people. He was always told not to go to the higher floors in the Pokemon Tower but one day him and a group of friends deciding to break the rules and do it anyways when nobody was looking. They soon found themselves face to face with ghost Pokemon and went downwards as soon as possible. Adam doesn’t remember if he stood there out of fear or curiosity but he didn’t leave like the others. The Pokemon took him to a room without his permission and Adam became confused. He looked around and saw lots of toys and other things. Then he realized that the Pokemon just wanted to play with him. He already knew the Pokemon was a Gastly but decided to give it the nickname Tronie, just to give it a name. The two played for quite a while and Adam almost lost track of time but eventually realized it must’ve been getting late. He went back to where he was and now had a Pokeball in his hand. He was confused at first but then realized that Gastly wanted him to catch it. Adam didn’t mind so he did so and went back to his house. He got in trouble for being gone for so long but didn’t care that much. He then introduced Tronie to his friends and family who were pretty scared at first but then realized it was just a Pokemon that meant no harm. Eventually they got used to it and everything was fine.

Years later Adam decided to finally have the journey he missed out on but didn’t want to stay in Kanto as he felt it would’ve been boring since he had lived there for so long. So he traveled to this region and began a new experience and maybe find out what he wanted to do.

According to the Polls, the winners of the two last spots are Ground and Grass.

Thus our Eight Gyms are:
  • Dragon
  • Electric
  • Ice
  • Ghost
  • Water
  • Poison
  • Grass
  • Ground
The remaining 4 just so happen to be the exact number we need, so our Elite 4 are:

  • Fire
  • Flying
  • Dark
  • Psychic

So we'll start in our Port town, the characters should all enter the region via ship or whatever.

We've got three Cities Down:

Seafare
Water Gym
Grass Gym/1st Contest Hall

A river connects the three, so they can all be traveled to by Ferry.

The general terrains between the Cities (Assuming you've decided to walk instead of the Ferry)

Seafare > (Route 1) > Water Gym
Route 1 Terrain: Plains (Walking), Fresh Water (Ferry)

Water Gym > (Route 2) > Grass Gym
Route 2 Terrain: Lush Forestry (Walking), Fresh Water (Ferry)

@Shen: King of the Mist has the descriptions of the two cities, so we'll probably play with them a bit to finalize any kinks.

Moving forward, I'd like us to detail at least one other city before we leave one.

E.g. By the time everyone leaves Seafare, we should have a fourth city
By the time everyone leaves the Water Gym city, we should have a fifth city

Regarding the habitat list that Shen's created, please do use some common sense without treating the list as absolute.

Some of them are a bit...
*Looks at Goomey in Ocean Terrain*

Yea, we'll work out all those kinks in time.

That said, once we have the Water Gym Leader created, I believe we'll be okay to set off tentatively. We wanna go slow enough that we don't catch up to our planning.

Name: Levi Crowell
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Description: A relatively average looking boy, standing around 5’7, with a semi-athletic build, good for movement. Short and messy chestnut brown hair pushed back and to the left, dim emerald green eyes, and fair to lightly sun-kissed skin.
Prefers solid color schemes.
Commonly seen in a black collared jacket and white t-shirt. His legs are protected by a pair of either black or blue jeans, and his feet by a pair of black boots or sneakers.
Keeping the theme of his clothes, Levi carries a gray backpack slung over his left shoulder.
Personality: Levi has quite the upbeat spirit. Constantly cracking jokes, befriending strangers, and looking for something interesting to do.
While this may be good for meeting new people, it always seems to get him into some form of trouble.
Thankfully, the boy isn’t just a loud mouth. Levi has his studious side that peaks through best in battles, but always helps him get out of the sticky situations he repeatedly finds himself in.

Levi was born on the Island of Cinnabar, in the Region of Kanto, to a loving mother and father.
Not surprisingly, the chestnut haired boy took a liking to Pokémon at a very you age thanks to his parents.
Said parents, Alex and Rose Crowell, were dedicated Pokemon Researchers in training.

Fortunately for his family, by the time Levi was 9, his mother and fathers hard work had paid off, and they were offered a job as assistants to none other than the renowned Pokémon Professor, Samuel Oak.
With little hesitation, the Crowell family packed up and moved to Pallet Town to finally start the life they had been dreaming of.
This change was great for the young Levi as well. What better place to learn about Pokémon than here?

The youngest of the Crowell family spent his next few years religiously studying Pokémon in and out of the Lab, hoping to one day show his parents, and ‘Mr. Oak’, that he would become a great Professor in his own right.
By the age of 13, Oak had acknowledged Levi’s impeccable determination, and offered the boy a gift he had been wanting for many years, an internship.

Oak wished to start Levi off with something small, but the boy refused. He wanted to provide genuine contributions, and he made it known.
Thanks to this same determination we’ve seen before, and a long winded discussion, Oak finally cracked. He informed Levi of a peculator Pokemon his old friend Professor Birch was studying in the Hoenn Region, a Pokemon called Nincada.
Oak informed Levi that his old friend had been researching Nincada’s unique evolutionary traits in its natural habitats, and needed a good assistant.
This position as an assistant was soon filled by Levi, who proved to be quite the helpful young scientist during his explorations.

Shortly before his 15th birthday, Levi finally returned to Oak’s Lab. The young man had several books full of notes, many stories, and a small Trapinch by his side.
Impressed by the boys success, Oak decided to keep the young man around and use him to help with research expeditions.
Over the next year, Levi made many discoveries traveling across most of the Kanto region, but felt someone somewhat unsatisfied considering many of his personal discoveries had already been found by Professor Oak.

Oak, being perceptive enough to notice this small lapse in his interns determination, informed the boy of a region that had been catching the eye of several Pokémon Researchers as of late. Said region was filled with various Pokémon from various other Regions, and it’s peculiar climate seemed to have a strange evolutionary effect on certain wild Pokémon.
Levi had heard enough. With his sights set on this new region, his curiosity sparked once again, and Trapinch at his side, he began his next adventure with high hopes.

Do those of us why already create a bio with our own forms remake our characters with the current form?
The Bios is pretty basic.

So unless you forgot to add name, gender, age, or some other basic criteria, then you should already conform to the bios. The only part that isn't basic bio information is optional, so you wouldn't really need to remake your bios.

You do however, probably want to get your inventory in order.

========================================================================

Name: Ellen Glyn Twdyr
Pronunciation: Ellen Glen Tudor
Nickname: Elle, Lyn
Gender: Female
Age: 19

Description: Standing, confidently she might add, at 5”2, Ellen is a Sinnoh-born girl, hailing from the port city of Canalave. Although she was born in Canalave, her parents were migrants coming from Kalos and Galar (Specifically her name is Welsh). Her living environment allowed her to foster a growing interest in Metallurgy, and at her request, her first Pokemon was a steel type from Iron Island. Her dress-style is more conventionally ‘feminine’ as she wears a white blouse with ruffles around the choker and wrists. Her blouse paired with her stone grey, long, flared skirt, often gives her a strict, ‘professional’ look. This is further exemplified by the skin-tight stockings she wears and her hemlock high-heeled ankle boots. She’s a bit of a book-worm and wears a set of thin-rimmed silver glasses. She has flaxen brown hair, styled into a half up-do with excess strands resting over her shoulder.

Personality: Ellen is a bit sarcastic and fancies herself as an independent woman. She can be aptly described as Phlegmatic-Choleric. She prefers to work by herself or with her pokemon, but isn’t above working in a team when the need calls. She’s open to socializing if awkwardly at first, but doesn’t appreciate invasions of her privacy or personal space.

|P O K E M O N|
Name: Cordelia

Species: Mawile
Ability: Intimidate
Gender: Female Level: 15

Description:
Cordelia is a normal Mawile who wears a sea-blue bow. She’s Ellen’s first pokemon, and was hatched from an Egg in Canalave city. She was a gift to Ellen for her 16th birthday, and since hatching has been witness to her trainer's interests and antics. She can be very wilful, ferocious, and overbearing, drawing contrast to her more taciturn trainer, and also living up to her name which has double meanings.
One interpretation comes from the Kalosian (French) phrase Courre de Lione, or, Heart of the Lion. While the other hints at the bow she wears is a reference to the harbor waters of Canalave, as well as the Welsh word Creiddylad, meaning Jewel of the Sea.

So regarding TMs and Move Tutors, again, ww still need someway to keep them fairly limited and what not.

So we can either use the money system or we can try some sort of limitation by Gym-badges?

The latter doesn't really work for people who don't do the league challenge though.

Mostly gyms and contests, with TM’s able to be bought once, and once more every time a gym or contest is done?

Mostly gyms and contests, with TM’s able to be bought once, and once more every time a gym or contest is done?
In that case, they should be reusable, because you'd only get 8 Tms throughout the RP, 5 for contest goers, and 13 for Devin who does both.
Hmm, for acquiring money I guess our characters could pick up some work while in a city
Eh, that'd kinda distract from the RP.

How about this.

Anyone can purchase basic/passive/lesser tm’s for a fairly low price. Say 500 P.

Then as you gain badges, you can show them to a shopkeeper to gain access to more advanced tm’s/hm’s. But as you do so, the price increases.

We could say this a way for shopkeeper to judge if there selling an advanced item to an inexperienced trainer.
