Private/Closed Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rp

Char jumped when the Kirlia bumped into him. He had been sitting down, but he was on his paws in an instant. He looked intently at the Kirlia, keeping an eye on their every move.

“I walked out of the woods to get back to civilization. And I don’t think sitting and looking at a bunch of tents is illegal.”

It was then he saw the Growlithe coming towards him as well. Now he was in for it. He ignored the fire type’s demanding questions and lowered himself into a fighting stance. He couldn’t outrun the powerful dog and the teleporting fairy/psychic type if they had any teamwork skills, so he would have to take his stand there. However, he didn’t make the first move; he wanted to see who would be foolish enough to do that.

“Hitari please escort Yosuke back to the guild.” Sol kindly instructed his teammate while never breaking eye contact with the Torracat. “I don’t want to have to do this to you.” He snarled to the cat while he summoned a sunny day. “But your sulking around and somewhat aggressive behavior doesn’t give me much of a choice. Either tell me what you’re doing here or I’ll force you away for good.”

Char’s back arched as he prepared for an attack. His response was more of a growl than anything else.

“Listen. I’m not hurting you. Or these other Pokémon. So just leave me alone.”

His claws flashed out of their sheathes in his paws, ready to attack or defend. The cat tried to appear bigger, but it was kind of hard because the Growlithe was almost exactly the same size as himself.

After Colin patiently waited until the Kecleon brothers were free, he walked up to them and put his money on the counter. "Just an apple, please. I gotta get some food in my system." He said almost bluntly, when he received his apple, he wasted no time to eat it; he was definitely hungry, although it wasn't filling enough to properly count as a meal, unless there was any free food nearby, he wouldn't have much luck. "Right, now to find that guild..." He said before he looked upward and saw the bright sun, somehow it seemed even hotter today, before he could complain about the heat, the Mawile darted his head to see a notice board and one poster that seemed to catch his eye.

'New Exploration Guild. Help Wanted! Just a short walk to the North-East of Rustling Village.' It said, this put a smile on the Mawile's face. He turned to the direction as stated in the flyer and whistled a positive tune, he was clearly excited to join the guild.

As she opened her eyes, Nora winced from the sunlight. "Ugh, it's morning already? Go away, sun, give me five more minutes..." She closed her eyes and rolled on her belly. After counting to three houndred, she got up with a sigh and put on her gloomy persona. She slowly got up, sighing again, and looked around. "Hm, Sol's gone, and so is Hitari and that rude Shinx." She looked down at the Lunar Ribbon, which made her thoughts race through her head. "Why did Sol give me this? There's another Eevee here, and yet, he gave this to me? Does that mean anything? Was he hinting at something? Am I looking too much into this?" She shook her head, getting those thoughts out of her head. She sat down on the grass waiting for Sol to come back so he can announce the details about the kelp mission.

Sol would not be the one to make the first move, it would be unprofessional of a guild leader to attack first. He noted the extended claws of the Torracat and prepared himself for a fight. “Just tell me why you keep following us and you can go on your way.” He snarled at the cat. An orange flame began to glow in his mouth an small flames began to spark from his paws as he readied himself for a fight.

Char began circling, wary of the flames gathering around the Growlithe. It looked like it could be a Flame Charge, a Flamethrower, or both, so would have to be on his toes. He glared at the fire type as he answered their question.

“Who said I was following you? Just because I am around, people assume I was following them. Guess this place isn’t different after all.”

He suddenly made a pounce to one side, not going to attack but testing his opponent’s reflexes.

"Don't do anything stupid." Said Hitari. "Bye," said Yosuke. Hitari and Yosuke both headed back to the guild area. "Oh, Hi Nora." Said Hitari. "This is Yosuke." "Hello. Nice to meet you." Hitari started cleaning out the (sadly still mostly full) pot (which made her slightly pissed) and Yosuke started cutting the potatoes. "So, who was that guy." "Oh, his name is Char. He follows us a lot. For some reason, I feel like he wants to fight us." "When I was out I saw him with a Shinx earlier getting apples from the Kecleon Shop. He doesn't seem that bad. Is the pot ready?" "Ready." At that moment Yosuke dropped about 6 balls of potatoes into the pot of boiling oil. "That smells great. I'll make a special sauce to go with them." "That..sounds nice."

Sol interpreted the pounce as an attack and quickly jumped behind the Torracat. Now located behind the Pokémon he shot a flame burst from point blank range. As the large fireball shot, mere inches from the cat Pokémon, Sol jumped backwards and prepared his next attack.

The Growlithe was much faster, and more hasty, than Char anticipated, so he was caught in the full blast of the fiery attack. He was enveloped in the fiery inferno, and when the smoke cleared the Torracat was no longer there, and a Black Pokémon, only slightly smaller than a Torracat and with large ears and a bushy tail was standing about where he had been. He was panting, and there were burn marks all over. He stood there for a moment, panting, and then collapsed.

The cat-like Pokemon made his way through the woods for a while, enjoying what little alone time he had. Time progressed rather quickly, which made Luck decide it was time to head back to that guild. When he arrived, he intended to see the members getting ready to depart on a quest, but most of them were already gone. Are they already on a quest? They forgot about my request, huh?
He saw that same Eevee from last night, seemed like she was just sitting there waiting for something. What the... He walked up to the familiar Eevee, if they were already out he didn't intend to waste too much time. "Where's the Growlithe?" He questioned, though he didn't choose to sit down this time, as if he was in a hurry.

Sol began to feel guilty. Of course he’s a Zorua he thought the scent didn’t seem like a Torracat, I should’ve realized it. Sol hadn’t meant to badly hurt the Pokémon, he figured it a strong Torracat whose typing would resist the flame burst, not a Zorua disguising himself. The bright sun faded away as he retracted his sunny day move and the fire he was preparing was extinguished. Sol walked over to the defeated Pokémon, lifted the black fox onto his back, and walked back to the guild. “Hey Hitari, I need your healing abilities. I accidentally went a little too hard on that Pokémon who was following us and finished him with one hit.” He announced.

Hitari ran over. "Dang it, Didn't I tell you not to do anything stupid? I knew something was wrong when I scanned him. It was weird but I was too worried." Hitari levitated the injured Zorua over to her tent. She laid her down. "Tiara, Eve, first, please leave unless you like the smell of slightly burnt fur. Second, Yosuke made breakfast." She sat Char down on the third sleeping bag. "Yosuke! Could'ya help!? Char got burned" "I'm coming." Said Yosuke as he "ran" over into the cramped tent. Yosuke fired a small water pulse and Hitari caught it with psychic. She took the warm water and encased the Zorua's body in it. "It's a practice called hydrotherapy. It's used to treat burns. Normally it takes a while but the heal pulse should speed up the process." Said Hitari as the water started to glow pink.

Not a moment later, the aforementioned Growlithe arrived with an injured Pokemon residing on his back. They quickly rushed him to get taken care of, it was faster than anything the Shinx had seen in a while. His mouth opened in awe as he watched the guild members do their respective tasks, as if... as if they were professionals. Didn't this guild just open up yesterday, and they're already on a wavelength like this? He glanced at the Zorua, for some reason it had a familiar scent to it. Though the Shinx had never even encountered that Pokemon before just now. Or did he?
He jogged over to the Growlithe, he was curious as to what had happened between them. "I've never seen that Zorua around here, what happened?" Sure the Shinx asked the leader for information, but since he wasn't in the guild he didn't expect him to give him any. Still, he left his ears open just in case he was willing to share.

Sol looked over at the Shinx who approached him. He felt it was safe to answer since Luck seemed like he was genuinely concerned. “It’s no big deal, that Zorua was disguised as a Torracat and was stalking the guild. I thought he seemed like a threat and when he pounced at me I had to put him in his place.” Replied Sol nonchalantly. His tone then turned a little more tame, “Though I do feel a little bad, I didn’t think I would do that much damage since he looked like a tough Torracat I thought he could take it.” Sol walked over to the central area, “If everyone could meet here I would like to announce our plans for today.”

The tent that the guild seemed to operate was not within Colin's sight. "Here we go..." He whispered to himself before he took a deep breath and proceeded forward. "Hello?" He called before he looked around for anyone around the tent and seemed to spot what looked like a Growlithe. "Uh, hey there pal. Are you a part of the guild? 'Cause I'm interested in applying for it and helping out people." He said with a slight hint of nervousness in his voice, the Mawile lightly tugged on his scarf.

“Yep in fact I’m the leader. My name’s Sol.” He kindly told the Mawile, hoping to ease his nerves. “We’re actually just planning our expeditions for today, if you would like to come join us you’re more than welcome.” He quickly ran into the tent and emerged with a rescue badge. “Joining is pretty simple, I already know why you would like to join. However, at some point I’m going to need to get your name.”

Colin smiled at the Growlithe's reassuringly kind tone of voice. "That's what I came here for." He replied jokingly before he happily went to take the badge that Sol came out with. "In terms of my name, you can call me Colin." He said as he folded his arms. "So, I know you said it's simple, but are there a few things I need to do before applying and/or is there anything I can start doing to help out with? Also, shouldn't I give an explanation about my qualification so you know how I can be of use around here?" He asked once more.

“Nope!” Sol chimed jovially, “Anyone who genuinely wants to help is accepted, and as far as qualifications or skills go just do your best and they should become apparent on their own. I prefer to judge Pokémon based on what I see them do, not just what they claim to be capable of.”

The Zorua was disguised as a Torracat, nah it couldn't be the same one from earlier. Though they did carry the same scent, so it was no doubt the same Pokemon from earlier. How quickly things can change. Luck made his way over to where the Torra- no, Zorua rested and sat down. He silently examined the Pokemon, wondering why he was disguised, or why he was "stalking" this guild, yet those couldn't be answered. Not yet. "Rest well, new friend."
However Sol had called a grouping for his guild, and since Luck had made a request he figured he should go over there as well. He sat a decent amount away from where the members would most likely sit, yet close enough for him to still hear. Couldn't hurt to listen.

Frosty had made it far from his home. The Ice Continent was now in the past, and he now stood(er... Floated) in a biome with a moderate climate. Something Frosty had not seen a lot of was the foliage, but the trees here were beautiful as ever. Frosty continued on his trek until he found a village. “Is this Rustling Village? Those locals who came from here described it sort of like this...” Frosty said to himself. Frosty’s eyes were glowing a light yellow, meaning he was in a good mood, but slightly exhausted.. He went to the Café, where he noticed a sign for a guild sign-up. “New Exploration Guild. Help wanted! Short walk northeast of Rustling Village.” It read. The animate snowflake’s eyes lit up, now turning a bright shade of green. “A chance to meet new people and explore more often! Sounds perfect! But, what would I be good at?” Frosty said to himself as he hastily floated in the direction of the guild.

(If I need to change anything, inform me)

It took time, but soon between the Heal Pulse and his own toughness Char began to recover his consciousness. He opened his eyes to find himself in what seemed to be a room made of cloth, and he felt the movement of water flowing across his fur. He didn’t recognize the sensation at first, but he was able to catch a glimpse of the water and then began to understand what was happening.

He gave a low growl as he tried to move and felt himself restricted by the same force that held the water flowing around him. He hated the feeling of helplessness this gave him, but he truly was helpless. He was in no position to fight even if he managed to escape this orb of warm water, so he slumped back in defeat, his eyes closing again. He still felt the sting of the flames in his pelt as the water that flowed over him both stung and soothed the burned spots. His eyes flickered back open to look at the Kirlia.

Nora looked at the rude Shinx with a sad expression. He had asked where Sol was. "Sol... Ugh, I can't even say his name without weirding out..." She thought, before responding to Luck. She pointed in the distance. "He's fighting a To--" Then, BOOM! A flame burst hit the Torracat, which revealed his true form... "-a Zorua." Nora finished her sentence. She watched the Shinx walk away to go talk to Sol about what happened, which made her quite happy. He finally left. Now, she could relax.
...
...
...
Nope, she couldn't. Because Sol was now adressing the entire guild on today's plans... No, he wasn't talking to the guild, because a random Mawhile came and asked to join. Nora rolled her eyes. "Bad timing, weirdo." She thought with a sigh. She layed down on the grass and waited for Sol to continue.

Hitari looked back at "Char". "Well, well, well. Looks like someone messed with the wrong person. I guess that's what happens if you pick a fight with a guild leader of all people." Hitari "snapped her finger"s and the water stopped glowing pink. "Now, I won't heal you any more unless you answer my questions. One, Is Char your real name? If you're wondering how I know that, I read your mind. If you're wondering why I'm not reading it now, I'm saving my energy. Two, why were you following us? Three, Yosuke made croquettes. Want one?"

Yosuke rolled out of the tent and headed to the main tent where he got his exploration badge. He headed back over to the cooking station there was enough done food for everyone to have about 2 including the new arrivals. "Breakfast is ready!" Said Yosuke so the whole campsite could hear him.

Char glared at the interogating Kirlia. He told himself he didn’t care if she kept healing him, since he was a prisoner anyway. However, his wounds really did sting, so he began to speak.

“Char is what everyone calls me. I’ve told you all that just because I happen to be near doesn’t mean I’m following you.”

He didn’t answer the last question, since he had no idea what these ‘croquettes’ were, but he figured they might be some kind of gag, or maybe a way to make him talk.

After that extra distance Frosty had trotted, he was a bit concerned that he’d completely missed the place, until he heard someone shout, “Breakfast is ready!”. It turned out that he had missed the place just by a little, and when he peered over to where he was supposed to go, he saw the campsite. “So, that must be the guild then. I guess I had been a little disoriented. Lucky I found it then? But, the question stands... which one is the leader?” He said to himself. He then proceeded gleefully into the campsite.

"Fair enough." Colin shrugged, in his opinion, the guild must have been recently made otherwise things would seem a bit more organized, but he didn't mind that, if he was quickly accepted into helping others, who was he to argue? Colin was caught off guard when he heard someone call out to them. "Breakfast is ready!" They said as the Mawile soon began to smell food and sighed in delight. "Wow, whatever they got cooking, it smells great. Think we could get a bite before we get started, boss?" Colin asked. The word 'boss' seemed to echo in his mind, but he liked the idea of calling him it regardless of what the Growlithe thought.

Sol’s stomach rumbled a little and he realized he hadn’t eaten yet either, “Yeah why don’t we all grab a bite to eat first, I can make announcements after breakfast.” Sol walked over towards where the delicious scent was coming from and noticed a large snowflake looking Pokémon. Sol happily trotted over to it, “Hello, you don’t see many Cryogonal around these parts. Can I help you?”

Hitari got up. "You forgot I could read your thoughts could you. Croquettes are these really good snacks made out of potatoes. Yosuke makes some great ones." She got put of her tent and walked over to Sol's to grab some. She grabbed one filled with mushrooms and one filled with peppers. She brought them back and held one over his mouth as the water glowed pink again. "Open your mouth and be careful. It's a litte warm."

Char glowered at the Kirlia. He refused to open his mouth, and turned his head away. He tried to think of random things that wouldn’t give away too much information about himself, so that if the Kirlia continued to invade his mind she would get nothing useful. He had to admit that the Kirlia had been pretty smart, from what he had seen of her, but she couldn’t possibly find out anything more than his surface thoughts... could she?

His nose was telling him that the food she was holding in front of him would taste amazing, but he refused. That delicious scent could be masking something else, for all he knew. He quickly began thinking of the apple he had eaten for breakfast, turning his thoughts away. His fur was floating loosely out from his body as he was suspended in the water, but at least the healing had resumed.

Luck inspected the guild's movements, he face told that he was slightly annoyed. Half of the time this guild is busy eating. I'll pass this time, already ate this morning. He moved from the guild's territory and found himself back in the surrounding forest. Sharpening his claws against a nearby tree, he yawned just thinking about how long the day was going to be. A lot had already happened, and he was sure that this wasn't the last of today's adventures. Surprisingly enough, there was a spot within the forest where the sun gleamed through, knowing this Luck was delighted and scurried to the secluded spot. Laying there in solitude, his mind began to wander unconsciously. I'll just come back whenever I think they're done eating, then.
Anyway, what the heck is wrong with that Eevee? Every time I see her, she's looking annoyed or something.
Luck sighed, trying to focus on relaxation and not that kind of stuff. Whatever, I don't care... not my guild, not my problem. That's the Growlithe's problem. He chuckled to himself before closing his eyes to catch just a bit more shut-eye.

Hitari was taken aback but not surprised at Char's unwillingness to eat. "Alright. Didn't think I would have to do this but..." said Hitari as she covered Char's nose. "Your gonna open your mouth eventually. If you couldn't, I would've made the water pulse would cover your head too." Hitari laughed and then sighed. "Look, I know I haven't been the most understanding person and I know you don't mean any harm. So, I'll be...less quick to anger" she looked over at Char's face ready to stuff the breakfast in his mouth the moment he opened his mouth.

Char jerked his head as his nose was grabbed and tried to pull free, but only managed to cause himself pain. His mouth opened instinctively to lick the sore olfactory organ, realizing too late that he wanted to keep his mouth shut. He was also caught off guard by the Kirlia’s words, confusing him momentarily and paralyzing any resistance he might have planned.

“Yes, please! I got word of a guild, and I was a bit interested! Oh, I’m Frosty, by the way. I came from the Ice Continent. It’s a lot colder there!” The snowflake replied as his eyes lit up a brighter green. “Also, uh... I’m not exactly sure what I’d be good at... I’m sure I could find that out as we go right?” He continued with concern.

(Yosuke was never actually given a badge so I'll give it to him now)
"Yep sounds good, feel free to eat up I'll go get you a badge." Sol smiled as he trotted away, grabbing a badge to hand to Frosty. After giving it to the snowflake Pokemon Sol sat down to enjoy his meal. This is amazing he thought. The puppy Pokemon was extremely happy to have a chef for the guild, proof could be seen in his shaking tail as he enjoyed his meal.

After enough time had passed for everyone to finish eating, Sol stood up and began to give announcements. "First off I would like to thank Yosuke for the meal, I think we can all agree." Sol flashed a smile at the Spheal before continuing, "Additionally along with Yosuke, if he accepts this badge, I would like to introduce our two new members: Colin and Frosty." Sol nodded his head towards each of the new comers so the guild would be able to see who he was referring to and tossed a spare exploration badge at Yosuke. "I'm sure by now most of you have heard I got into a little spat with the Torracat, or... well.. Zorua that was following us, but don't worry its all sorted out and Hitari is healing him as we speak." He puffed up his chest a little bit, happy to be a guild leader who could take out potential threats. "Now for the explorations today. I will lead Nora, Colin, Yosuke, and Char, the Zorua if he would like, in escorting Luck, the Shinx, to the kelp in Whirling Lake. Tate you will take Hitari and Frosty to rescue my old friend Mango from Spike Cavern. Jay will lead Eve in recovering lost lyrics in the Whistling Forest. The reasoning is Whirling Lakes is a new location so I will lead us with a large amount of members to support. Tate will be good at navigating a cave and Hitari’s psychic powers will help detect Mango. Jay is probably the strongest member right now so he and Eve should be enough. If there are any questions please let me know, meet with your respective leaders when you are ready to leave.” Sol walked away, slightly out of breath and approached the Zorua. “Sorry about what happened earlier, I’d love for you to join us on our expedition today.” He smiled reassuringly.

Char, still floating in warm water, glared at Sol as he approached. He had heard most of the speech, but had no idea what he was talking about, except the parts about himself. However, he had caught the name Luck, which made him think that the Shinx from earlier might be nearby. He didn’t know that Luck had been into the tent while he was unconscious because, well, he had been unconscious at the time.

Char didn’t trust the Growlithe, or the aura of authority which he seemed to carry, especially now that Char knew that the Growlithe was the ‘guild leader’, whatever that was. All Char knew was that it sounded important. However, he did have to respect the Growlithe’s battle prowess.

“What are you talking about? Expedition?”

Although a bit disappointed that she wasn’t with Tiara for a second time, Eve nodded. “No questions, sir.”

Tiara looked slightly confused. She hadn’t heard her name mentioned. Naturally, she assumed that she was needed back at camp.
“Sol, sir, what can I help with?” she asked kindly.

Hitari shoved the breakfast into Char's mouth the moment he opened it. "Got you, tastes good, doesn't it?" Hitari sat back and listened. She gave Char a quick scan. "Most of the burns are healed but you look quite tired." Hitari lowered the bubble and dissolved the bubble little by little. "I might drop you a bit because my telekinesis doesn't work on Dark types." She lowered Char down as best as she could on to the sleeping bag and laid a towel on him because he was very wet. She drank a Max Elixir because she needed all the energy she could get. "By the way, expeditions are missions in Dungeons to do things for people like catch outlaws, find lost items or rescues. You first met me when I was on one." Said Hitari. She sat back and listened to Sol's speech.

Yosuke rolled up and accepted the badge. "Thank you. To be honest I didn't expect that well of a reception to my food. I hope I can be of assistance outside of my cooking." Said Yosuke a little embarrassed. He fastened the badge on his chest and rolled back to his tent where he packed his Adventure Pack for his first expedition in a while. "Whirlpool Lake, huh. I may he useful seeing as how I am the only water type here. But, my attacks may not be as affective though."

“I’m sorry Tiara I thought I mentioned you, you will be a part of my group in the Whirling Lake, along with Char, if he accepts.” Sol smiled apologetically at Tiara before turning to Char. “You don’t seem like a bad Pokémon, and based on the fact that you always seem to be near us I assume you have at least some interest in our guild. I’d love to have you come explore with us.”

“Oh boy, a mission already!” Frosty said in excitement. He was already so that he ate his breakfast in one huge... (I mean, I guess he just kinda absorbed it? Cryogonals don’t really have jaws or a mouth...*AHEM*)bite, and looked to he was assigned to go on a mission with. He was supposed to be led by one named Tate with another teammate, Hitari. “Umm... who are they again?” Frosty said as his eyes turned a lilac purple, representing both confusion and thoughts(he’s confused but he’s also thinking as to whom they could be). He looked around the camp and noticed the Kirlia that was messing with a Torracat. He floated towards them, and stopped a bit away as to keep them from getting cold due to his icy body temperature. “Hey, might you be Hitari? I was just thinking that you were because... y’know, I was just guessing!” Frosty said to the Kirlia with a playful and enthusiastic tone.
