Private/Closed Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Island Orbs

Shenzi waited for a minute before going to class. She loomed around the halls, trying to memorize them and where the rooms were. Then, the Poochyena went to Exploring class. Upon entering, she saw the Teacher, a Gallade, seemingly breaking up a fight between a Pichu she'd seen earlier and a Drillbur. "Why do I always miss things?" She muttered, as she found a seat and sat down, awaiting the teacher's instructions.

The Pichu glared at the Drillbur with bitter umbrage, as she quietly grunted at the Gallade with noticeable, utmost anger, "H- how am I supposed... to e- even talk to him... he still picks on me..."

The Pichu's wand started to glimmer in a faint, reddish light on the tip, as she maniacally laughed and yelled with impulse, "HE'S NOT GETTING IT! HE'S DONE IT TO ME FOR THE FOURTH TIME NOW! I THINK THAT IT'S TIME FOR ME TO PUT AN END TO THIS RIGHT NOW! RIGHT DANG NOW!"

The Furret gulped at the Ledian, as she said, "Oh no... she's not herself is she? This might be bad..."

The Ledian folded her wings and replied, "Yep, she's probably gone cuckoo. I think that I might have to get that grass Pokémon use that one move on her as soon as possible."

The Ledian resisted the urge to shift her attention towards the weeping Drillbur, as she continued to quietly chat with the Furret, while the Mudkip still patiently waited for the teacher.

Gallade pushed the wand away. "Calm. Down. NOW. I know what you're feeling, but you need to relax. Don't be so hostile. How about a different solution? For now, you guys sit on opposite sides of the class. Then after class, you guys can make up. We're all friends here. This doesn't make you exempt from earlier. But for now, can you guys apologize to each other? The two of you are making quite a scene here, so let's resolve this."

Techno watched the pichu. "I've never seen anyone so, willing to pick fights in my life." They muttered to themself. "I'm keeping an eye on them for now at least. Someone could get hurt." They sighed. Then they sneezed (or shot sparks) at the pichu accidently. "Why have you betrayed me allergies?" They muttered to themself.

"The Pichu is really angry.. I won't mess with him, I guess." Alex thought to himself, looking at Mr. Gallade. "That's Mr. Gallade. He teaches lots of fun subjects, and he's good at many things. Just see." Salazar explained to Alex, keeping quiet, so that they wouldn't interrupt anyone.

Shenzi gave Techno a "Really?" look, before letting out a sigh. "From what I've seen, I don't blame her. She wants to stand up to her bullies like that? Lemme give her a medal. You can only get so far by ignoring them." She said, continuing to watch the scene unfold. "The Drillbur doesn't seem innocent here, so, I have no complaints."

Techno agreed. "True enough, but I still think that she might hurt somebody if this continues." They looked at her. "Wands are very, very powerful Shenzi, I heard that someone got seriously injured do to one." They very quietly sighed, muttering to themselves. "I didn't just hear about it, I saw it."

The Pichu continued to laugh in a maniacal tone while her beaming, dark red eyes were intensely focused on the Drillbur. Her glaring eyes immediately shifted their attention towards a Stunky that started to laugh at her, as she menacingly growled out, "YOU SHUT UP OR ELSE YOU'RE GONNA GET IT YOU LITTLE PUNK!" The Stunky squealed with intense terror, as he curled in a ball and hid behind his chair.

Her wand started to quietly crackle about, as her body was beginning to emit a faint, blood red aura. Her wand seemed to now become bound with her right hand for the time being, as she wiggled the wand in an attempt to gather as much energy as she could.

Gallade slapped the Pichu.
"I didn't want to have to resort to doing that. But CALM DOWN! Now! Or I'll send you to the Principal's office. Now, Stunky? Don't laugh at Pichu. It's not nice."

"Bullying can lead to serious problems. I see where you're coming from Techno, but in all honesty? If anybody's stupid and cruel enough to make fun of that Pichu still, they'll get what's coming to them." Shenzi replied, not taking her eyes off the scene. "I'll admit, though, this does look like it'll get messy. Heck of a first day, huh?"

Alex gave a blank look, quite surprised about how all the Pokemon were acting. "Mr. Gallade? Is it fine if we start the class? It's my first day here, after all..." Alex said, but in a quiet tone, since he could hear some Pokemon laughing in the background at him.

Gallade turned and gave a stern look to the students, which quieted them all up. He then turned back to Alex. "You make a good point... Alex, I believe? We should indeed start the class." Gallade guided Drillbur and Pichu to their seats before going back to the front of the class. "Since we have some new students here today, I'll introduce myself. As you probably already know, I am Mr. Gallade. I will be your Battle and Exploration teacher. Fortunately, your class has both of those back-to-back! So you'll get to know me well, and I will you. To start off, let's take attendance to make sure everyone's here." Gallade went through the class names, eventually arriving at Salazar. "Salazar?"

The Pichu lied in her seat after the Gallade escorted her, as her wand quietly fizzled and the emitting of her malevolent aura came to a halt. She was dazed from the huge force that came from the slap, as the Mudkip whispered to her in concern, "Hey, are you okay? Here, let me help you out... you don't look too well." The Mudkip quietly rubbed his paws together, as a trace amount of cleansing energy emitted from them soon after some modest rubbing.

The Pichu's eyes swirled like spinning tops, as she faintly replied, "G- god... i- is that y- you?"

The Mudkip covered up his giggle, as he said in a calm tone, "No Pichu, it's me... Mudkip. Now, just hold still and you'll be fine after this."

Techno looked at Shenzi and did the equivalent of a nod to her. "This has been one heck of a first day." The magnemite said. Attendance started shortly after he finished speaking, as the gallade called out Salazar.

"I'm here." Salazar exclaimed, after the teacher had said his name. Alex slowly realized that it was roll call, and payed attention quickly. Some Pokemon were laughing at him, but, still, he kept paying attention.

Gallade stomped as soon as the Pokemon started laughing, and they all shut up. They wouldn't laugh at Alex again. "Alex, you're here. So is Pichu. Drillbur. Mudkip?"

"See what I meant about him being good at many things?" Salazar whispered to Alex, which left Alex open to do a small nod, still being impressed about how Mr. Gallade could leave all the children quiet.

The Mudkip nodded while calmly replying to the Gallade, "Yes, I'm here Gallade." He turned towards the Pichu after gathering enough psionic energy in his paws, as he rubbed them again and said to her, "Okay, just hold still..."

The Mudkip firmly placed his paws on the Pichu's head, as cleansing energy started to flow from his paws to her body. The Pichu glanced over at the Mudkip after the Mudkip released his paws from her, as she faintly said, "W- where am I? W- what... h- ha- happened?"

The Mudkip smiled after seeing that the Pichu was better now, as he shook her right hand with his right paw and whispered in his reply, "I'll explain later, just try to relax okay?" The Pichu gave off a vague nod at him, as she glanced over at the Gallade. The Mudkip gave off a deep sigh after seeing that the situation was now back to its tranquil state, as he sat with the Pichu and waited for class to commence.

"Alright." Gallade called off the names of the class and made sure everyone was there. He then wrote down the absences on the board. "Now, then. Our first class is Battle. Would anyone care to explain to our new classmates exactly what Battle Class is?"

"I do!" Salazar shouted quickly. "So, Battle class is where you practice your battle skills, and it's basically a guide on how to survive from enemy Pokemon in Mystery Dungeons." The Larvitar explained, to everyone. He then, quickly afterwards, sat down.

Hiro, In His Seat, Instantly Was More Interested, He Thought
Battle Practice? Mystery Dungeons? Damn, I'm Ready! His Ribbon Went around His Hilt. Resulting In Him Tripping off his Seat, A Few kids laughed At Him.

Alex and Salazar laughed silently, in order to not insult Hiro. "Hey! But, don't laugh at him! It was an accident!" Alex shouted, leaving a few kids to laugh at him instead, like before.

Gallade stomped. "I will NOT tolerate this in my classroom!" Gallade said. "Any more mocking laughter and... well, you should know."
An Eevee walked over and helped Hiro up. She also took the ribbon, and held it out to the sword. "Here you go!"
"Good job, Swift!" Gallade said, smiling. "And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how students in this school SHOULD behave. Now, then. Salazar, you are absolutely right! Today, our topic is Water-type Pokemon. Would anyone like to volunteer to help with the demonstration?"

Hiro, After Getting Help From the Eevee To Get Up, Said To the Eevee
"Thanks." He Tied The Ribbon Round His Hilt Properly, using Ghostly magic, Then Went Back To His Seat. And Hoped That He Wouldn't Do That kind Of Thing Again.

The Mudkip's head fin perked up to the Gallade after hearing her mentioning about Water-type Pokémon, as he gulped when he looked around at the other Pokémon in the classroom. The Pichu saw some other Pokémon that laughed at the Riolu, as he noticed that the Skunky was giggling at her yet again. He heard the Skunky say in a ridiculing, derogatory tone, "Hah! That little kid's right, you sure are an accident after what you did to that poor dude there."

The Pichu's rage once again swiftly returned when his intensely focused ears picked up every word of the Skunky's speech of mockery. She growled at the Skunky like a Skarmory that had been in feeding for weeks, as her beaming red eyes glared down at the Skunky with extreme infuriation!

She sternly grunted while electricity faintly crackled out of her cheeks, "You... better... stop... t- th- this..."

She took in quick, angered breaths, as she roared out, "RIGHT NOW!" The Skunky curled up in fear soon after his ears were pierced from the Pichu's thunderous roar, as he squealed with acute terror!

Seeing that the Pichu was fuming with utmost fury that topped that of even a Tyranitar, the Mudkip quickly thought, "Oh boy... and she's gone cuckoo again! I never thought I'd have to use this on my one love, but sometimes situations call for it... I'm sorry if I have to do this my love."

The Mudkip began to gather in some psionic energy with his intensely concentrating mind, as his right paw began to emit a faint, whitish light. He gave off a deepened sigh to the Pichu, as he thought, "I'm sorry my love, but this is for your own good!"

Gallade was instantly shocked at this happening. "WHAT IS WITH THIS CLASS TODAY?! You kids are never this aggressive in my class, and I wish it to go back to normal. If I hear even a PEEP of negativity geared towards another student, I'm sending you right down to Principal Chesnaught! ...now then. Like I was saying, any volunteers?"

Salazar wasn't laughing - He was actually quite shocked. He had exactly the same face as Alex - A blank, surprised face which would lead to the fact that Alex wasn't frightened by the Pichu's powers - He was scared of Mr. Gallade's angerness. "Can we continue the class now..?" He asked.

The Mudkip quietly patted the Pichu's right shoulder, as a soothing energy flowed from his paw to her body in a quick manner. The Pichu's anger soon came to a halt when her rage diminished, as the Mudkip helped her sit in a straight posture. The Mudkip had a puzzled look towards the Pichu, as he thought, "Huh... isn't this supposed to make her sleep? I thought I used the right move on her, but I suppose this will work too."

The Mudkip calmly raised his right paw after quietly pacifying the Pichu, as he said, "W- well... I'd like to v- v- v- vol... umm... how do you say that word that means to like partake in things?"

The Furret smiled and quietly said to him, "It's volunteer. Vol, un, teer... now go on buddy, you got this!"

The Mudkip smiled at the Furret, as he said while his tail fin shook, "Umm... right, volunteer. I'd like to volunteer to help with the demonstration."

Shenzi was surprised that the small Mudkip was volunteering to help demonstrate. Meaning, she felt obligated to be his opponent, in case another bully tried to. She raised her paw. "If he needs an opponent, I can do that." The Poochyena offered. It's a good thing I've had battle practice before. I'll have to go easy on the little Water-Type.

While Alex may have been nervous, he decided to crack a joke. "Well, I'm a Fighting-type, who's my opponent?" He cracked. While not many people were laughing at the joke, Salazar was looking at Shenzi and the Mudkip.

Techno watched this unfold. "Wow, I will enjoy this for sure!" They said. "I love battle practice." He wanted to battle so bad. He hadn't battled in ages. He wanted to battle so much. "Mr. Gallade, I know this seems unfair to the water types, especially him," He pointed to a wingull. "May I battle?"

"Well, it seems we have four volunteers! I suppose this will work in a sense. But we're not straight-up battling!" Gallade said. "I'll show you what I mean. Now then, volunteers, please come forwards. Mudkip, please stand in the center."

The Mudkip nodded and walked over to the corner from the Gallade's orders, as he discretely gathered in some more psionic energy in order to prepare himself for battle. He was suddenly towards everyone, as he patiently waited for the lesson to begin. The Pichu still sat in her seat, as she attempted to get herself aroused from her extreme exhaustion. She did not seem to realize that all the recent anger and abuse of her magic placed great strain on her body, as she took in rapid, silent breaths to sustain her consciousness.

As Alex was watching, the young Riolu quickly saw Salazar sketching in his notebook again. This time, he was drawing... a group of Pokemon and him? Alex didn't seem to mind, but he kept on staring at the battle practice, which was about to happen.

"Now, I believe all of you know about type, right? Well, here Mudkip is at a disadvantage against Techno. Techno is an electric type, which means he resists Water-type moves. If Mudkip was hostile, then Techno would be the best choice for fighting him. Now... can anyone tell me what Pokemon you WOULDN'T send against Mudkip?"

Hiro Thought About It for A few Seconds
Grass? No. Fighting? No. Fire!? Yes! After Thinking About It, He Managed To use His Ribbon To Look Like His Non-existent hand Went Up, He Said
"I Know! You Wouldn't Want To Use A Fire Type!"

"Exactly right, Hiro!" Gallade replied. "As a matter of fact, that's part of the Type Triangle. You remember it, right?"
"FIRE BEATS GRASS! GRASS BEATS WATER! WATER BEATS FIRE!" the students said.
"Correct. However, let's think of a hypothetical situation. You encounter a Water-type Pokemon in a Mystery Dungeon - a Palpitoad. Would Techno still be a good choice for fighting it?"

The Mudkip hesitantly replied while his right paw faintly glew with psionic energy, "N- No... because... if I remember correctly..."

The Mudkip took in a concentrated breath and continued, "Ground is impervious against Electric-based attacks... it's like a baby trying to hit an adult when you think about it."

The Mudkip was preparing himself against the fight against Techno in case if the Gallade made them fight for practice, as he thought, "Heh, they don't know I've got my own powers that I'm gonna surely use... at least my secret's safe with the councilor." The Mudkip gave a vague grin to Techno, as he patiently waited for the lesson to progress on.

"They really DO have more experience then me.. I get to learn stuff all the time! Maybe becoming a Pokemon wasn't so bad after all.. I just gotta get used to it." Alex thought to himself.

"That is true." Techno agreed. "I have something on my moveset that would make me a good choice for ground and fire types. I have water-type hidden power, which is incredibly helpful if I find a dugtrio in a mystery dungeon for example." Techno explained. "This is called coverage, having more than one different type of move to counter many types."
