I'm terribly sorry to report this, but Contests over WiFi just aren't possible. The designers forgot about us Contest lovers, and only made it DS-to-DS by direct communication, and no other means. Maybe next game...

The game has wifi, for BATTLES. You cannot have Wifi Contests in the Contest Hall.

direct communication is not wi-fi, that is like when two friends go over to eachothers house and play through the wireless communication that is used on pictochat
