Ask to Join Pokemon Battle Royal- Isle Royale

Robin watched as Shade and Dirk began to play, and gave a small chuckle when when the Delcatty decided it wasn't having this chaos and laid down next to Robin. The blue haired trainer attempted to gently pet the catlike Pokemon as he booted up the Royale Gear. The screen flashed to life, and the map of the island appeared on the screen. Right now, it appeared that they were in the southern forest part of the island, the same forest that was where the Grand Hall was. To their west, where Robin had come from, was a small grassy plain to the ocean. To the east of the forest, a large, grassy plain. To the south, more forest. But that just put them back at the Great Hall. To the east, a hilly plain. And to the north, some rocky mountainous area.

"It looks like there's only one enemy that's particularly close to us-" Right as Robin said that, the dot of the other competitor vanished. "Oh. Huh. Nevermind, they must have given up or something."

Robin inspected the Royale Gear a moment longer before looking up at Shade.
"It looks like there's a lot more competitors in these woods than any other area on the island. A lot of people must be getting the same idea. I think it might be a good idea to head north, to the rocky zone. There's quite a few PokeStops up there, and the rocky terrain could give us a few good places to hunker down. But that might mean heading up in the same direction of those two gangs we saw earlier. But if they faced off against each other, maybe they weakened each other enough that we could swoop in and get them? Seems kinda risky though." Robin scratched his head as he tried to figure out what to do.

The Delcatty's ear twitched before letting Robin pet her, her body began vibrating from the purring. Meanwhile, Shade took a moment from playing with Dirk before thinking about what they should do. The mountains seem like a great place to be, they just had to be careful of potentially falling.

"Well, we can always go up to the rocky area. That group could be heading in any other direction, but they may not be heading back to the mountains. We should just head there," standing up, she looked ahead to where she had last seen her Leavanny. But she wasn't there.

"FOLI!" Shade yelled. No response. She repeated her name a couple times before gunning it for the southern section of the forest. The Delcatty felt something was off and ran after her temporary trainer.

Foli didn't hear the yelling from Shade, as she wandered too far away and was too lost in her thoughts to hear. Looking around to get a bearing on her surroundings, she realized she was not anywhere she recognized. Panicking a little, she climbed up some trees and tried to retrace her steps, so she could find her way back.

For once, she actually felt bad, since she knew that Shade must be worried. Was she though? She must be. If she knew who Shade was after taking off her stubborn goggles, she would know that Shade would be looking for her because she was that nice. Completely regretting her decision, she frantically hurried around, trying to find her way back.

If either of them are not paying attention, they could attract other people towards them and get into some trouble.

The Delcatty's fur felt soft as Robin stroked it. He watched as Shade got up, only to be startled when the purple-haired woman ran off in the direction that her Leavanny had gone off in with the Delcatty in hot pursuit. The blue haired swordsman quickly snatched up his bag and gear, scrambling to his feet. Looking down from her perch with concern, the Abra teleported into Robin's backpack. Dirk watched as Shade disappeared into the woods before turning to give Robin a questioning look.
"Hey, Shade, wait!" Robin called after his friend as he ran after her. Dirk let out a bark as he ran alongside Robin after Shade.

Robin had only taken a few steps when the ground seemed to crumble beneath him. Letting out a yelp, Robin found himself falling down a pit. He fell a few feet before hitting the dirt with a dull thud and a groan. Dirk managed to stop himself before falling into the pit, and looked down on his new trainer with a concerned bark. Robin stood up, looking around the pit. It was about 8 feet deep, and looked like it was recently dug out. He hadn't noticed the hole before, since whoever had dug it had covered it up with branches, leaves, and brush.
"Dirk, go help Shade! I'll catch up." Robin said. The Growlithe looked down nervously at Robin before turning and following Shade.

Letting out a sigh, Robin inspected the dirt wall. It was soft and crumbly, not very good for handholds or footholds. It might take a while to get out... Who would even dig something like this? Why? To trap someone? That didn't sound very legal... A sound got Robin's attention, and the swordsman looked up to see his Abra staring down at him from the side of the hole.
"Hey there. I don't suppose you could help me out?" Robin asked the Abra. The psychic type pointed at Robin, and a soft psychic energy surrounded the trainer. It was Telekinesis! Slowly, Robin was lifted out of the hole and settled softly next to the Abra.
"Thanks, little guy." Robin said, petting the Abra on the head. The Abra smiled before Teleporting again into Robin's backpack. Checking the Royale Gear, Robin began following after the red dot that he assumed was Shade's.

Shade wandered about some more before she heard something behind her. Knowing that Robin has an Abra, she didn't worry too much about him. She was more concerned that Foli could potentially be in danger. Looking up in the trees, she tried to find the autumn-colored leaves from the green leaves overwhelming the treetops, but there was nothing.

It was then that she heard someone. Rushing to whoever it was, she silently hid in some bushes. Foli was there.

Foli seemed angry and a little afraid according to her stance as a guy found the creature and began threatening it. "Tell me where your trainer is, or else."

Shade knew he was bluffing, as he couldn't harm a Pokemon or another human due to the rules. Then again, people who joined this could potentially be psychos. It seemed like this guy had three Pokemon on his team. If she could knock out two with her Delcatty to allow some time for Foli to relax a little and join Shade again, then they'll win.

It wasn't always going to be like that, but she can hope for the best.

She erupted from the bushes with a command immediately. The guy had out a Houndour and Shade yelled "Water Pulse" to her Delcatty. The Delcatty emerged alongside her and spat out a pulse of water towards the Houndour, to which it easily jumped out of the way and growled.

Shade forgot her Pokemon in the competition weren't Pokemon she had trained with for years. This was going to be brutal.

Foli looked at Shade in awe before dawning a more aggressive stance, but stayed behind. If she fought with Shade now, the guy would try to use another Pokemon or all three. Hopefully, Shade knew what she was doing.
