• A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Do NOT ask if you can join an RP on the RP thread itself! This leads to a lot of unnecessary OOC chatter and that's not what the RP boards are for.

This is clearly stated in our RP forum rules. If you've not read them yet, do so BEFORE posting anything in the RP forums. They may be found here (for Pokémon Role Play) or here (for General Role Play). Remember that the Global Rules of Pokécharms also apply in addition to these rule sets.

Here's mine:

Name: Cheyenne
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: Tall, slightly chubby
Personality: Quiet, stoic
Pokemon: Sylveon, Delphox, Carracosta, Venosaur, Scolipede, Gengar
Back story: Cheyenne started her journey at 14 years old, well after everyone else, due to health problems. She doesn't let anyone see this weakness by training to be stronger in battles.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cheyenne exited her home and closed the door behind her, adjusting the bag on her shoulder as she looked around. Exhaling, she stepped off the porch and followed the path into the woods, reaching into her bag. She grasped around for a while before she pulled out a pokeball, releasing her Sylveon. Smiling at the small creature, she put the ball back, continuing her stroll. "Come on, Syl, we gotta keep going if we're going to reach the next town before dinner." She spoke softly, chuckling as her companion chirped at her and sauntered, trailing just slightly behind her. A rustle in the bushes stopped the both of them for a moment, the tall girl looking closely in the direction of the offending noise. Tentatively, she reached into her bag for an unoccupied ball and crept closer, her free hand reaching out to push away leaves. For a while, she didn't see anything. Then, a loud roar broke the silence, a giant Pangoro pushing past the bushes. Cheyenne let out a startled screech, scrambling backwards only to trip over a tree root. She fell to the ground, the pokeball falling and rolling under the Pangoro's paw to be smashed. That was her last pokeball. "Sylveon, use Moonblast!" Her Sylveon ran forward, drawing power from the moon to blast the wild pokemon back into the bushes. The move only stunned it for a while, rising a paw to knock away the young woman's only chance at getting away fast into a boulder, knocking it out. She had no choice but to call for help and hope someone heard her.

"Help! Someone!"

Name: Augustus Malcolm
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance: August has a lanky build and chocolate-brown skin. He has raven-black, messy hair that descends down to the bottom of his neck. His eyes are probably the most unique thing about him, as they are two different colors. His left eye is a violet purple, while his right is bright blue. He usually has a mischievous smirk plastered on his face. August looks more mature than he actually is. He is staggeringly tall, being 6'6". August usually wears baggy, dark grey jeans. His jeans have a chain around the belt loop on his right leg. The chain hangs down a few inches. Other than that, August usually also adorns a baggy, purple short-sleeved T-shirt. He also has a violet backpack, for carrying his supplies.
Personality: August didn't exactly grow up in the most child-friendly area, but his personality usually doesn't show it. He generally has a kind and outgoing attitude. He usually acts like a complete idiot with almost no intelligence, but it's all a facade. Under his goofball persona is actually a very intelligent individual. August has proven himself to be a very loyal friend. To him, his friends are like a second family (his Pokemon being his first), and he would do anything for them. Because of his love for the creatures called Pokemon, he'd only ever consider catching one if it wanted to join him. He would offer the Pokemon the opportunity, and if not, he'd let it go. He likes to have at least one of his Pokemon out of their Pokeball and at his side, which is usually Lynzie, his first Pokemon, a Growlithe, now an Arcanine. Despite his kind attitude, August sometimes snatches up small things, usually an apple or a couple PokeDollars no one would miss. He'd never snatch something from lower-class citizens, and make sure those he took from wouldn't even care that much. Or if they were just all-around jerks. Despite his loyalty and willingness to hear his friends out, August refuses to talk about his own past. Deep down, though he doesn't seem to let much affect him, he takes comments by his friends to heart and prefers to not show any negative emotions. He does this because he wants to appear strong, so his friends don't feel like they need to. He always has a feeling of inferiority compared to most other people. He has no interest in gym battles whatsoever, and just battles for the thrill of it. He loves food. He's usually willing to accept people for who they are. He is also agnostic, and very protective over his close friends.
Pokemon: Lynzie the Arcanine [F], Shaxx the Pupitar [M]
Backstory:August was born in Johto, and lived with a low-income family. Due to tension between his parents, August often kept away from home, instead choosing to wander the streets of Goldenrod, where he resided. When he was nine, his mother, Lynzie, passed away from cancer. This brought August and his father, Damian, closer together. After Lynzie's death, Damian had to work several jobs just to keep their house and keep food on the table. Some days, they wouldn't even get that. August sometimes walked down to stores and marketplaces to snatch small things, like an apple or two. He managed to either convince shopkeepers to give him a few or just stole them without the shopkeeper noticing. Because of him being poor, most of the other members of his school and general neighborhood bullied the younger August. Of course, their words stung, which was what caused August to eventually form a stone wall around himself, so as to not allow anyone to get a glimpse as to how he really felt about things. He resorted to jokes to deflect things that bothered him. This did, however, cause August to respect the friends he did make, and treat them well. When he was eleven, August discovered a wounded Growlithe, beaten to near death. Being the people they were, Damian and August couldn't allow the Pokemon to simply die, so they took it (they later discovered it was female) in and nursed it back to health. She refused to leave them afterward, and so they kept her and named her Lynzie. Of course, with the extra mouth, things were rough, until a youth tournament came to town. The prize for winning was a large sum of money, and August and Lynzie participated. They, somehow, pulled off beating their opponents and managed to win. Two years later, when August was thirteen, he finally decided to leave for his Pokemon journey. The pair had no set goal and just traveled around for the thrill of it, participating in the odd tourney here and there. At one tourney the prize was a Fire Stone, which August used to evolve Lynzie. Their consolation prize for third place in another tournament was a Larvitar egg, which eventually hatched into Shaxx. They went to [insert this region's name] to find something new to see and enjoy themselves.
TL;DR Bio: August and his two Pokemon came to this region to enjoy themselves.
--------------------------------------
August was strolling along the open road, his hands stuffed into his pockets. There was a nice, cool breeze, and it felt great on his skin. He looked over and smiled upon seeing his partner, Lynzie. The Arcanine had been with him through a lot, now. She was like a sister to him. He ruffled the fur on the Fire-type canine before her eyes pricked up.
"Hear something, Lynzie?" August asked, immediately catching this. His partner barked a positive response before she dashed ahead. August scoffed. "At least gimmie a warning." He said with a chuckle before chasing after her. They soon after found the source of what Lynzie heard,a girl being assaulted by a Pangoro.
"Flamethrower." He ordered simply, before Lynzie parted her jaws, aimed at the Dark/Fighting-Type, before launching a stream of flames from her mouth at it.

Mind if I join?
Name: James
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance: There's not much unique about James. He's a white male, not too tall, but not short. His hair is kind of dirty-blonde. His eyes are green. He usually wears shorts and a shirt, even when it's freezing outside.
Personality: James isn't shy, nor super outgoing. He'd like to chill with his pals rather than go to a huge Pokemon. James is very kind, and smart, but you have open him up to get what's really inside of him. Once your his friend, he sometimes might go on long tangents about a small error in a show he watches, or stuff like that. He's also kind of nerdy.
Pokemon: Oliver the Dewott {M, Shiny}
Back story: James was raised in a generally well-off family. Nothing really instructing there. What is interesting, his how he met his life-long partner, which he nicknamed Oliver. When James was 7, he was playing near the beach on a remote beach, that had vary few people around. He heard what he thought was crying, and it happened to be a baby Oshawott, abandoned by it's mother. It looked a weird color. James' parents agreed to let James raise this Oshawott, because it would of starved to death. And now, 9 years later, James is a teenager, and the Oshawott is still with James, except he evolved.

James opened his door, and followed Oliver out. "Mom! I'm just popping out to the shops for a bit with Oliver!" James closed the door. He turned to Oliver. "If you're good, you'll get a Pokepuff!" Oliver squeaked in excitement. All of a sudden, Oliver's ears perked up. "What is it, Oliver?" Oliver suddenly rushed off a lot faster than James could run. James had to stop to catch his breath.

"OLIVER!" Oliver didn't look back. He stopped at the scene with the Pagoro, and tripped directly in-front of them. He just wanted to help.

@ JamesDaFluffyOtter
Cheyenne scrambled away from the Pangoro, running over to the boulder to check on her Sylveon. She pulled out a pokeball and looked up at the other trainer. "If we work together, we'll get out of this situation a lot faster!" Standing up, she threw her pokeball at the ground. "Go, Gengar! Use Shadow Claw!" The purple ghost-type pokemon leapt from the device, raising an arm to slash at the wild Pangoro.

While her companion attacked, she picked up her fallen friend and pulled out it's pokeball and returned it inside to keep it safe until she got to a pokemon center.

@ Dapper_Cat
The young woman watched as someone came to her aid, their pokemon blasting away at the wild Pangoro. She got up and rushed to her Sylveon's side, returning it to it's pokeball to keep it safe. Then she moved behind the boulder, watching the battle from a safe distance. She needed to get to a pokemon center right away. But she was worried that if she moved, it would only set off the wild pokemon even more. It would be best if she just waited until the Pangoro either fainted or ran away.

OOC:

I have a feeling this might get confusing.
Maybe DM me to continue?

Excuse me. Folks, you clearly need to have a moment to read the rules. And our global rules for that matter, because triple-posting is no.

You're not replying to every person individually and have zero reason to tag any person individually.
Think of RPs here as sort of a collaborative story written by numerous people at the same time. All these events are occurring simultaneously or in sequence and you need to respond to what your character can see happening etc.

If you have any further questions regarding how we do things around here after you've read the rules, feel free to ask me.

(You didn't mention Oliver, @RainyRoyale )

James came running up to the two trainers, and grabbed Oliver. James quickly made sure he wasn't in the way of this battle that was occurring. "Oliver, why did you do that?" Oliver whined. "Oh stop that!" James then realized that the other two trainers existed. "Uh.... I gotta go now!" James walked off, blushing a little in embarrassment. James then tripped in front of them, Oliver chuckled.
