Requiem was sitting in a tree, humming a tune. If you know your songs, you'd recognize the tune as part of Masterpiece Theatre III. The Gallade wasn't doing much of anything, except humming, thinking about whatever, and occasionally throwing stuff at passerby. What was he thinking about? The world may never know.

Zero smiled, glad that someone else shared his enthusiasm. “At least someone agrees with me that this is a good idea,” he said, practically bouncing up and down in his excitement. His grey eyes shone with the excitement of a child getting a new pet and his fingerless gloved hands were twitching and drumming against the ship.

Kuro listened to the three hunters conversing and put a berry near Timothy’s mouth. She blushed a little, the idea of feeding the male that she knew was new and made her feel a bit embarrassed, of course, it must’ve been more embarrassing for Timothy. “N-normally I would d-do this b-but...,” she trailed of, glancing at Timothy’s webbed body with her heterochromatic, embarrassed gaze. She blushed a bit deeper as she glanced away, toward the clear, bright ocean, the sun making the surface glisten.

While Kuro had been out gathering berries, Timothy had been doing a pretty good job not thinking about what was going to happen when she got back. But now that she was here, standing in front of him holding the berry, Timothy couldn't stop his face from turning red. This situation was quite awkward. Timothy hesitated for a moment, then gently took a bite of the citrus berry. The berry was sweet and ripe, but just couldn't cover how embarrassing the situation was. After a few more bites, Timothy had finished off the berry.
"Ah... Thank you..." Timothy muttered, looking away.

X watched the event with interest, then turned to Gregor.
"Didn't you feed him?" X asked. Gregor looked away, his face turning a little red at the thought.
"Of course not." Gregor sputtered. "It's... It's too weird."
X rolled his eyes and shook his head, but his smile soon returned. While he wasn't as energetic as Zero about it, X was still quite excited about what was about to occur.
"Alright. Get your 'mapping supplies' Gregor. We're moving out in 30 minutes." X flashed a smile at Zero. "Feel free to tag along."

Kuro just blushed deeper, nodding quietly. “You’re w-welcome,” she said nervously, picking up another berry from her shirt basket. “D-do you want a-another berry?” She asked, looking everywhere but at Timothy. She was completely embarrassed, her usually pale face a bright, deep red from her blush. Her blue and yellow eyes darted from place to place, never staying in the same place for more than three seconds.

Zero smiled right back at X, standing up to his full 6’0” length. His eyes fluttered with the excitement a hunter feels, especially with a hunt as crazy as this one. His grey eyes settled on the two in the back, both clearly nervous. His grin widened, it really is going to be that easy, he thought with it. He didn’t blame either one for being nervous, the situation they were in was very awkward. Zero looked back at Gregor and X, still smiling with excitement, excitement dancing across his dark grey eyes.

X looked at Zero. Zero stood a little taller than X, but he didn't really care. As Gregor entered the ship again, X turned his attention back to the forest. What was he going to do with that man, Zero? He may be a good hunter, but X found him a little annoying. After this job, he'd probably kill him. Gregor too. Possibly before then, Gregor was showing signs of softness. X glanced again at the scene between the Pokehuman and the Pokemon Ranger. A cruel smile came across the scarred hunter's face as he got a terrible idea. That Ranger had been talking too much, he could tell. He needed a reminder. Taking a certain Great Ball from inside his cloak, X spun it on the tip of his finger, staring at Timothy. Once the Ranger had seen it, X quickly put the Pokeball back in his cloak.

Timothy's face was bright red. He still felt hungry, but the strange mix of feelings he was having was preventing him from speaking. Kuro was standing very close to him. He couldn't help but look into her eyes as he tried to respond. But out of the corner of his eye, Timothy saw something. X twirling a Great Ball on his finger. Mawile's Pokeball. Suddenly, Timothy didn't feel very hungry. The Pokemon Ranger looked down at the ship's deck.
"I'm... I'm full. Thank you." Timothy said.

Zenix and Phoenix sat under a tree and Phoenix told Zenix about the little adventure she just had. "Well, looks like you had quite the trip," Zenix said.

Phoenix nodded and smiled. "I also became friends with the Umbreon PokéHuman!" She said.

Zenix was surprised to hear that since Phoenix was usually very shy around others. He thought about the humans Phoenix mentioned that were on the island. 'Still, it's strange that outsiders found this island,' he thought to himself, 'They could be trouble.'

Phoenix then had an idea. "Hey Zenix, wanna go see the ship?" She asked.

Zenix thought for a bit and realized that it was a good opportunity to meet Phoenix's new friend. "Sure," he said with a smile.

The two stood up and made their way towards the ship.

Zero flicked his gaze across the people on the ship, his smile turning to a smirk. He noticed X holding a Great Ball and the Ranger seemed to be sad. Immediately he knew that it was one of Timothy’s Pokémon and his smirk fell. He sighed quietly then looked out into the forest. The excitement of the hunt came back to him and he smiled once again. “I’m definitely coming with you,” he said loud enough for X to hear, his dark grey gaze still on the jungle.
————————————————————
Kuro looked at Timothy for the first time since she had started feeding him, seeing him looking at the ship’s deck. Her face grew worried, her eyebrows coming together and her eyes soaked in worry. Her blush was going away, only a slight red in comparison to the red it was before. She stepped away from Timothy enough for it to be comfortable for both of them, placing the berry in her shirt basket. “Is everything alright?” She asked quietly, her tone concerned and careful.

Timothy didn't seem to hear Kuro's question at first. After a few moments, the Pokemon Ranger seemed to snap back to reality. Well, I'm webbed to the wall of a ship manned by a trio of hunters trying to steal Pokemon and probably kidnap Pokehumans. Not only that, but they're keeping my Pokemon hostage. Does that seem alright to you? Timothy couldn't go but to smile at Kuro's question. Nothing about this situation was alright. Well, mostly.
"I'm fine. Just a little, eh, tied up at the moment." Timothy said, trying to brush away his fear with a little joke.

X merely nodded at Zero, acknowledging the hunter's response. Gregor appeared back on deck, his backpack full and ready to go.
"I've got all the supplies. I'm ready to go now." Gregor said. X nodded and turned to Zero.
"Well, I sure hope you're good at mapping." X said to Zero. "Let's get going.
Gregor jumped over the ship's edge, recalling his Pokemon while X went over to his Dragonite.
"Stay here, and guard the boy." X said, pointing at Timothy. His Dragonite nodded glumly. "Come find me if something happens."

Kuro forced a smile from Timothy’s reply, knowing that she wasn’t being told the truth. “Okay,” She said quietly, turning around and leaning against the railing, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration and her eyes clouded with a seemingly distant and sad look. Does he not trust me enough? She asked herself, folding her hands together and looking out into the ocean, beginning to think of why Timothy might not trust her to tell her the full truth.
————————————————————
Zero smiled, hopping over the edge of the ship after Gregor, the excitement the hunt would bring making his nerves tingle. His fingers moved silently against his leg, drumming the beat he guessed his heart was going, fast.

Timothy and X's eyes met. Timothy glared at X, full of anger, while X's expression revealed nothing but indifference. The hunter stood there for a moment, before turning and joining Gregor and Zero as they made their way across the beach. Once he was sure they were out of earshot, Timothy turned back to Kuro. He knew X had Mawile, but if he didn't tell her than the whole island would be endangered! But then he stopped himself. If he told her now, the Dragonite would try to stop Kuro. She might be able to take him down, but it would still be pretty loud and would alert the hunters. Better to wait until they were far enough into the forest for Timothy to try to get Kuro's help to bust him out.

X approached Gregor and Zero as they walked towards the forest.
"Once we're out of sight, start covering our tracks, and make sure to disguise your scent. I found a new base for now." X said quietly to both of the hunters. "A lab, hidden under a waterfall. No one's been in it for years."

Zero nodded, his face turning expressionless, his eyes showing none of the excitement he previously had. “Obviously, that’s what a good hunter does,” he said, his feet moving silently, his feet barely making any tracks in the soft sand. “That sounds like a good hideout, for the time being,” he said.

The moment X and Gregor entered the forest and out of sight of the ship, X scooped up some mud and began rubbing it on his skin. Gregor, on the other hand, extended his spear and began to whack the brush out of the way, veering away from X and Zero. X tossed him a few strips of his cloak.
"Meet up in a few hours. Use your tracker." X said. Gregor nodded, and continued to lay a false trail.

Now that the hunters were out of earshot, Timothy went to start trying to tear away the webbing. He hesitated only for a moment. X still had his Mawile. If he went through with this, X could kill her. But if Timothy kept quiet, it was more than likely X would try to sell her as well as the rest of the Pokehumans and Pokemon on this island, and kill Timothy. I'm sorry, Mawile. I save you if I can. Timothy thought, then using his free arm began to work on the webs pinning down his left arm. X's Dragonite noticed instantly, and with a snarl threw a punch at Timothy's head. Timothy barely managed to dodge it, and the Dragonite's punch put a dent in the metal next to Timothy's head.
"Uh, help?" Timothy said to Kuro, panic in his voice.

As they continued to walk, Phoenix could already see the ship that is outside of the forest. "Zenix! We're almost there!" She said excitedly as she ran off ahead of Zenix.

Zenix simply smiled from seeing Phoenix happy. "She must be excited to see that Umbreon PokéHuman again," he said to himself as he followed Phoenix.

Phoenix arrived at the outside of the ship and her excitement went away when she saw the Dragonite attacking the Pokemon Ranger. "Umm, Z-Zenix!" She said in a worried tone.

Zenix saw it as well when he caught up to Phoenix and knew that the Ranger needed help. He extended his hand towards the Dragonite and fired a spark of electricity at it.

As the Dragonite was preparing another attack, Timothy watched as it was suddenly hit from behind by an electric attack. Spinning around, it glared angrily at the pair of Pokehumans on the beach. The Dragonite wasted no time in a retaliation, launching a beam of purple flames from it's mouth towards the Raichu Pokehuman, a Dragon Rage attack. Timothy, meanwhile, continued to pull on the webbing. He could feel the webbing around his left arm start to come loose.

Zenix saw the Dragon Rage coming towards him. He quickly pushed Phoenix out of the attack's range and jumped back to dodge it. "Missed me!" He taunted the Dragonite.

Phoenix fell to the ground after being pushed and turned to Zenix. "Zenix!" She exclaimed worriedly.

"Stay back!" He said to Phoenix and lauched another spark of electricity at the Dragonite.

The Dragonite tanked the second electric attack, roaring angrily at the pesky Raichu Pokehuman. Jumping off the ship, it used its wings to propel itself towards Zenix. As the Dragon Pokemon dashed towards Zenix, a purple aura of a Dragon Rush attack cloaked him. The Dragonite attempted to ram Zenix with a Dragon Rush attack.

Kuro heard Timothy and spun around, panicked from the Dragonite and Timothy’s tone. She saw X’s Dragonite attacking Timothy and cursed under her breath, a small growl escaping her throat. She saw it get sparked by a lightning thrown by a Raichu PokéHuman, a startled yelp escaping her throat. She watched it fly toward the two, recognizing Phoenix instantly. She shot a Shadow Ball at the back of the Dragonite then started tearing at Timothy’s webbing, trying her best to get him free without hurting him. Her heterochromatic eyes flirted worriedly between the Dragonite and Timothy in his tearing, breaking webbing. “Don’t kill the Dragonite, just immobilize it,” Kuro called to the Raichu PokéHuman, she heard Phoenix call it Zenix, an edge to her voice that almost sounded like a warning.
————————————————————
Zero began to spread mud over his exposed flesh, mostly masking his human scent. When he was finished, he looked up at X, ready for the hunt to start. He wasted no time on simple small questions, it was a waste of breath and time that was running out on them. If the PokéHumans found out what they were doing before they captured them then they would all be dead and no one would ever find their bodies and there was a small chance of them leaving the island with every Pokémon and PokéHuman. Although they wouldn’t wouldn’t get all of the PokéHuman’s they would at least get a few, if it all went according to plan which seemed not to be happening too much lately.

With Kuro's help, Timothy was quickly able to free himself from the web that stuck him to the side of the ship. He was free! But before Timothy could move forward, he found his legs weren't very keen on listening to him. He had been trapped in the web for so long that he had lost feeling in his legs, and he began to fall forward, right towards the Umbreon Pokehuman.
"Whoa!" Timothy exclaimed.

The Shadow Ball attack Kuro launched completely blindsided X's Dragonite. The attack slammed him into the sand, effectively stopping his Dragon Rush attack before it had the chance to hit Zenix. The Dragonite lay on the ground for a moment, the wind knocked out of it. But a moment was all it took to rest. The Dragonite looked up at Zenix and growled, then launched himself at the Raichu Pokehuman in another Dragon Rush attack.

Zenix was prepared to dodge the Dragonite's Dragon Rush but didn't as he watched the Dragonite slam onto the ground. He sighed in relief, but that cost him to let his guard down. He didn't have time to react to the Dragonite's second Dragon Rush and was hit by it. He held on to the Dragonite as he was being hit by it since he had a plan. He held on tightly and emitted a Thunderbolt attack from his hands that were holding on to Dragonite.

Meanwhile, Phoenix climbed onto the ship and saw the Ranger fall on Kuro once she was aboard. "Oh my," she said after seeing the fall.

Kuro caught Timothy immediately when he began to fall toward her but she was startled by how close they were, his face only inches from hers. Her cheeks bloomed a bright red, her limps staying exactly where they were, frozen to their spot. This had never happened to her before so she didn’t know what to do, one hand around Timothy’s waist and the other keeping him from falling completely on her.

Timothy stared up at Kuro's face, seemingly frozen as well. He was close to her, even closer than when she was giving him berries. He realized he was leaning on her a moment too long, and his face turned red as well. Gently untangling himself, he went to lean on the ship's railing.
"I... Ah... I'm sorry." Timothy muttered. A loud roar made Timothy look up, and he saw the Dragonite and Raichu Pokehuman wrestling on the beach. The Raichu Pokehuman was shocking the Dragonite with what looked like a Thunderbolt attack. This wasn't the time to be gazing into a girl's eyes, Timothy! Managing to keep himself up, he turned back to Kuro.
"Thank you." Timothy said, and started to make his way, rather shakily, to the board's cabin.

Meanwhile, on the beach X's Dragonite was struggling. The Raichu Pokehuman was pretty strong. But this Dragonite was determined. He was not going to let his master down. Not noticing that his prisoner had already escaped, he gripped Zenix as well and headbutted the Raichu's head as hard as he could.

Zenix started to pump up a bit more power once he realized that the Dragonite was much tougher than he anticipated. He didn't realize that the Dragonite launched a headbutt until it was too late. That headbutt was enough to knock Zenix out cold. After being hit, Zenix let go of the Dragonite and fell to the ground.

Phoenix turned back to the battle only to see Zenix being knocked out by the Dragonite. "ZENIX!!!" She exclaimed. She started get on the ship's railing in order to jump off the ship and help Zenix.

Kuro nodded wordlessly, her blush remaining. “I, um, I’m s-sorry as we-well,” she said, moving a step back from where she had previously been standing then turned toward the beach. She saw the Dragonite headbutt Zenix which rendered him unconscious. Phoenix's yell was enough to get her moving, jumping off the rail in next to where Timothy was leaning against and preparing a Shadow Beam with a few shots of some Shadow Ball’s at the Dragonite. “Stay on the ship,” she yelled at Timothy but didn’t face him though she hoped Timothy and Phoenix would know who she was talking to.

The Dragonite slowly stood up, looking down at Zenix and breathing heavily. The Raichu Pokehuman was definitely a strong opponent, but it wasn't it's main quarry. Hearing a yell from behind him, the Dragonite turned to see a pair of Pokehumans running at him. Before the Dragonite could react, the Umbreon Pokehuman assaulted him with a Shadow Ball attack. The last thing the Dragon-type Pokemon saw before blacking out was the Ranger in the ship, free of the web.

From the deck of the ship, Timothy could watch with relative safety as the Dragonite was knocked out. It looked like a pretty tough blow, and Timothy felt kinda bad. For a Pokemon with such a cruel master, that Dragonite didn't seem as bad as other Pokemon brought up by similar men.

Phoenix jumped off the ship and ran to Zenix as fast as she could. Once she reached him, she got on her knees and proceeded to shake Zenix to try and wake him up. "Zenix! Zenix! Please, wake up!" She pleaded as she shook him with tears in her eyes.

Try as Phoenix might, Zenix was still unconscious from the Dragonite's headbutt.

Kuro sighed in relief after the Dragonite was fainted, bringing her hands down to her sides from being together to make a Shadow Beam attack. She scooped up the Dragonite and looked at Zenix on the ground, Phoenix above him pleading for him to wake up. “He’s fine, he’s just unconscious. Bring him onto the ship if you can,” she said before turning around and climbing the ship. “Poor thing,” she muttered and placed the Dragonite where it had been sleeping before, careful not to hurt it in any way. Standing up, Kuro looked down at the orange dragon creature and sighed sadly, staring at the Dragonite.

Phoenix looked up at Kuro and nodded at what she said. She wiped her tears away and slowly picked up Zenix by his arm. She waltzed over to the ship and when she made it to the outside of it, she didn't know if she can carry Zenix up to the ship. "Umm, Kuro? A little help?" She called out to Kuro.

Timothy eyed the Dragonite nervously as Kuro set him down.
"Is... Is that really the best thing to do? If he wakes up, that Dragonite's gonna be hopping mad." Timothy said. On seeing Phoenix hold Zenix, Timothy reached for his belt, where he normally held a few healing items. Unfortunatly, those had been taken along with his Pokemon and Capture Stylus. They were probably on this ship... Timothy sighed. He had to tell Kuro and the others about the hunters.
"Kuro..." Timothy started. "When you told me you felt these men weren't what they said they were, you were right. These men are hunters. Hunters of Pokemon, and as of landing on this island, hunters of Pokehumans."
Each word felt like a stab to chest for Timothy. Although he knew this was for the best, the Pokemon Ranger knew that this practically condemning his Mawile to death.

Kuro tore her eyes away from the Dragonite and looked at Timothy, wondering why he didn’t want her to be put the Dragonite where it had been before. What Timothy told her didn’t surprise her as she knew something wasn’t right about the other humans. “I’m leaving the Dragonite here and we need to leave, now,” she said and walked off the ship, taking Zenix from Phoenix, carrying him and starting to walk toward the forest. “It’s not smart for us to stay here, you are not webbed to the ship anymore and I could easily handle the humans but I’d prefer not to. I have a place we can stay for a while until I tell them close then we move. Or we fight,” she said, sighing and turning to look at Timothy and Phoenix.

Timothy realized what Kuro was saying made sense. Why stay on the boat when they could hide in the forest? This was the Pokehuman's home turf.
"R... Right. Hold on, I need to check something." Timothy said. He turned and made his way towards the ship's cabin. Hopefully, X would still have his Capture Styler. And Timothy had only seen X with his Mawile. His other two Pokemon, his Wailord and his Xatu, might still be here.

Timothy reached the cabin and looked in. There it was, lying right beside the bed! Timothy's Capture Styler. He ran over and grabbed it, putting it on his belt. There was also a few healing items, which Timothy helped himself to. Putting the last Max Revive in his belt, Timothy looked around the cabin again. Where were his other Pokemon? Was there anything else he could use?

Kuro stopped moving, waiting for Timothy. She started to become worried that he wouldn’t come back, the childish fear that she had when she was little, the first time she saw him. She shifted from one foot to the other, staring at the entrance of the cabin of the ship to make sure Timothy got out. She glanced at Phoenix a few times then back at Zenix that she was momentarily carrying but her gaze always came back to the cabin.

Desending down into the dark belly of the ship, Timothy had a good look at what awaited the Pokemon that the hunters would capture. There were cages, different sizes and shapes, throughout the space. Treading softly, Timothy looked around for his Pokeballs. Luckily, they were lying on a shelf. He smiled and grabbed them, putting them on his belt. This whole room of cages was giving him the creeps, so Timothy quickly made his way back on deck.

The Dragonite was still unconscious, luckily, so Timothy quickly ran over and vaulted the railing, landing next to Kuro.
"Let's go." Timothy said. "I'm ready."

As soon as Kuro saw Timothy emerge, the Dragonite still asleep, she sighed in relief. When he appeared next to her, she relaxed and began walking toward the forest again. “Phoenix, how well do you know the forest?” She asked, her head tilted to look at the Vulpix PokéHuman.

Phoenix watched as Timothy came back from the boat and followed Kuro into the forest. When Kuro asked the question, Phoenix looked up at her. "Well, only a little bit," she replied, "The truth is, I've only been living with Zenix in the forest for a month. I....use to live in a village....with my family...."

Timothy listened to the two Pokehumans converse, then looked over to the unconscious Zenix. Remembering something, Timothy fished a Revive out of the pouch on his belt. Maybe this would help. He walked over to Phoenix and handed her the Revive.
"Here. This should wake your friend up." Timothy said. He thought about what Phoenix had said. There was a village? Of Pokehumans? How advanced were they?

Kuro looked at Phoenix with a confused expression, turning her head to look at the female. “There are villages? I didn’t know that,” she said, looking down at the rainforest like ground. “What’s a family?” She asked after a pause, looking back up to see Timothy handing Phoenix something for Zenix.

"Yeah, there are only 2 villages here on the island. And they're really well hidden as well," Phoenix replied. She didn't hear Kuro's second question as her attention was turned to Timothy. The young Vulpix held the Revive that was handed to her. "T-Thank you.... Timothy, right?" She said, uncertain of what his name is.

"Yeah." Timothy said. "And you're Phoenix, right? We weren't properly introduced. Thanks for helping rescue me."
The Vulpix Pokehuman seemed young, but a nice girl. If not a little shy.
"And thanks to your friend as well. If he hadn't jumped in, I probably would have been toast." Timothy said. They continued walking through the forest, and Timothy brushed a leaf out of his path. The dense plant life made it kind of hard to navigate, but Timothy had been in similar enviroments.

Kuro's question caught Timothy off guard. He wasn't expecting that.
"A family? Y'know. It's... People you care about. Friends. Relatives. Parents. That sort of thing." Timothy said. He looked back and forth between the two Pokehumans. "Don't you have families?"

Kuro looked away, looking at all the trees, their familiar shapes and colors. “Apparently I’m the only one who hasn’t gotten one,” she mumbled under her breath, looking down on the ground, feeling the giant, hard leaf of an Elephant Ear plant. She shifted her arms, Zenix still laying on them, and waiting for the revive that would hopefully help the Raichu PokéHuman come back to be able to stand again.

Phoenix felt bad for Kuro after hearing her say that she didn't have a family. She then remembered about the Revive. The Vulpix PokéHuman went up to Zenix, who was still in Kuro's arms, and used the Revive on him.

After the Revive was used, Zenix was slowly regaining consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes, only to find himself in the arms of an Umbreon PokéHuman. "Wh-Who are you?" He asked and put his hand on his head, "And why does my head hurt a bit?"
