Ask to Join Overwatch: Resurgence

"Good you're here, Cipher. Our target is the one with the chainsaw hand. Stall them, or kill them if you can. I'll come there soon." Sombra said to Cipher. Cipher was not officially listed in this mission, but Sombra had taken the initiative to invite him in. Although Damien is a good planner, he's so stiff at execution that one or two things that didn't went as he planned would sent his plan spiraling out of control. That's why she called an extra manpower.

She closed her communicator and scanned her surrounding. The gauntlet woman had hide behind a car. Sombra was planning to charge toward the car and shot the woman when the bar's door opened. Damien and Vixen walked outside, Damien seemed frustrated and Vixen seemed so pissed off that her eyes and faces had turned as red as her hair.

"Where's our target, Sombra?" Damien shouted at her.

A static could be heard from Damien's communicator. He picked it up.

"They're on the road. Not that far though." X Factor's flat voice made it sounds like nothing of importace happened, but for Damien it's a very big deal. X Factor's call ended immediately.

Damien almost thrown into a state of panic before Sombra's firm voice slapped him back into reality.

"Overwatch." She said while pointing at a car. Damien was processing what she truly mean when Vixen holstered her gun and jumped on the car with her metal claws in hands. When she spot a woman with gauntlets hiding behind the car, a sinister grin appeared on her face.

"Hey, I'm pissed off now. Let's play." She then slashed forward with her metal claws.

------------
X Factor tried to shot them down like she was told to , but the wind suddenly picked up and screwed her calculation. That's how the target was able to escape. But she's not done yet, she ditched the concealed safety of her hotel room and went to the hotel's rooftop, fortunately it's empty now. She then told Damien about the location of the target quickly.

She set up her sniper rifle and took aim at the target. It was difficult, she felt vulnerable on the open place like this, the wind won't help her, the darkness of the night reduce her vision and she was going to shot a moving target on a motorcycle. But she was confident, she loaded her special ammo, the one that would explode when it hit the target. Instead of aiming at head or torso like she usually do, she aimed for the front wheel of the motorcycle instead. The bigger target would made her less likely to miss. She aimed and pulled the trigger, sending an explosive bullet at supersonic speed through the night sky.

Mara looked over to see another motorcycle heading in their direction. Two people on that motorcycle, with the other aiming them down. She sighed and told the man to hold on tightly or else he'll fall. She woke up C.O. by saying "Robotic evasive maneuvers, please."

It was at this point that her body twitched again, the light in her chestplate flaring up again as she found herself losing control of her body as she gave it to C.O. Tired, the Omni did his best to pull off some dangerous maneuvers, but not before there was an explosion right near their tire. What was that?! He heard the whiz of a bullet heading past his face and it exploded the ground right beneath the bike. Luckily he was in control. The motorbike was dangerously swerving, but he managed to straighten the poor thing out.

Making some quick calculations, he asked if Maverick had any ranged weapons on him. He told him that they were being shot from back in the city on some building.

Cipher kept up his compulsive Nanoblinking and jumping from roof to roof, struggling to keep his eye on the bike that held what he assumed would be the target. However, despite his frantic attempts, he lost track of the dangerously swerving bike in the muddle of different roads and buildings he had to assess. This was only more evidence that the target was on it, otherwise they wouldn't be so desperate and try to escape. Luckily for him, keeping track of the other bike was FAR easier. They were armed, but were trying to aim at the other bike... strange, he very much doubted they were one of theirs. Maybe confusion? There certainly was a lot going on suddenly. Cipher looked down over the edge of the new rooftop he had landed on, staring out over the road. He raised his metallic glove, holographic yellow claws extending from it's fingers, crackling with yellow electrical energy. If he could maybe work on preparing a tracking shot, he could potentially sneak a shot in once he figured out WHO he was actually supposed to be hitting. He couldn't exactly hold his own in a one-on-one fight, he knew that well enough from his experience. He would have to work on keeping up surveillance, and sneaking in the occasional tracker shot, before he would have to blink back to his team, that or have them come to him, in order to work at maximum effectiveness. Plus there was the added problem of any more experienced Overwatch members showing up, in which case they could potentially recognize him.

When everything was said and done, Holly stood with the rest of the new recruits, anticipating the results. Everyone, to her, had done so well, her anxiety beginning to rise up once more when she had heard only two would be moving forward and accepted into the ranks. She swallowed, eyes locked onto the wall behind the operatives, merely only acting as if she was watching them.

The two names were called- the girl she had noticed earlier, Roulette, with all her magic tricks, and... Her. Wait, her? Holly? As in Henrietta Collins? A breath she didn't realize she had been holding escaped the woman, and her expression cracked into a wide smile. She looked down the row at Roulette, also overjoyed at the news, and then back to Sol. She looked him in the eyes this time, an air of confidence replacing prior anxiety. "Thank you so much, it's such an amazing opportunity to be working here. I'll give it my all and do my best out there, and make Overwatch proud." Despite her happiness, she couldn't help but shake, voice wavering a little as she expressed how thankful she was. This was definitely something she would have to tell all her friends later when she got the chance.

At the Overwatch base, a young woman with robotic raptor legs and a tail watched the entire showdown between the eight recruits. She also watched as two of the eight were ecstatically excited over being able to join while the other six moped. It was certainly interesting to watch. Such jubilant energy by being accepted into something that made you fight for your life and other people's lives being put onto your shoulders. Such excitement to help others while also getting into dangerous situations.

It was clearly an enigma for Sara. When she had first joined, she, too, felt ecstatic, but not because she was going to help people. It was to further her research as a nurse about biomechanics, with the help of Mercy. Of course, an accident occurred while she worked here, which caused her to need biomechanics herself.

After a bit of reminiscing, she walked away from the door frame she was hiding behind and, with long strides, made it to the group quite quickly. The metallic feet made clanking noises, with the talons making higher pitched clangs, as she walked towards the ecstatic girls. She looked up at Sol and Tracer before talking to the new girls, her voice flat and monotone.

"I shall take you two for routine medical analyses. If there are any allergies you two may have, I'd like to know now. Sol. Is there anything else you'd like to do with these two before I take them in for their screening?" Sara turned to Sol as she said his name, her tail swishing about in slight angst to get this over and done with.

"Roger. Backup has arrived."

Striker cursed as she saw more Talon agents move from the bar, one with sharp claws and an almost gleeful tone making an open challenge to her. It appeared from her vantage point that these Talon agents were after the pair on the motorcycle who tried to flee. Striker got her guard up as she prepared to fight the Talon agents.

But thankfully backup arrived as few rockets shot down from the sky. One aimed for Damien, Vixen and Sombra respectively as Pharah appeared from the air and rained down fire from her rocket launcher as help had arrived. Striker grinned before she charged forward as she aimed to follow up the rocket strike aimed at Vicen with a haymaker of her own as the real battle had just began.

Kento layed out a few colorful words when an explosion occured at the bike before them. "Someones shooting at them. Don't like saying this, but take my crossbow and launch it on EMP mode." Brigette complied, resting the crossbow on Kento's shoulder. The shot wasn't hard, but the user never used Kento's weapon before. The arrows were pure electricity, meaning they moved differently. As the trigger was pulled, a slight snap of power jerked forward as the arrow streaked to the bike before them.

Looking at the rockethead launched at them. Sombra quickly rolled over to where Damien was. Damien activated his energy dome shield and blocked the attack. He activated his communicator.

"X Factor. There's an airborne overwatch on me. Switch target. Shot her down."

"Yes." X Factor nodded before she readjust her position and aimed at Pharah. Aiming at Pharah was much easier since her position wasn't that far compared to the target on motorcycle. She quickly sent three bullets flying at Pharah.

Meanwhile Vixen didn't lose a beat. She easily dodged the rocket head and dashed to where Striker was to interrupt Striker from interupting her allies. Her grin grew wider as adrenaline pumping through her blood.

"It seems your friend up there wanted to obliterate you too, too bad her attack is so easy for us to dodge, riight~" She gleefully said to Striker before attempting to strike Striker's left side with her claw.

Sombra used the opportunity to touch a red racing car to hack it, probably one of the dead man's car. It only need two seconds before the car's light blinked and the door opened.

"Get on Damien, you drive." Sombra pointed at the car. Damien nodded. Both of them quickly got inside the car and took their leave. "Cipher, where are you now? Guide us to the target" She said to her communicator. Damien was confused for a moment because Cipher wasn't supposed to be in the mission, but he realized what happened immediately.

As all the other recruits left, escorted by some minor agents of Overwatch and Tracer herself, Sol was about to announce the new recruits assignments. It's best for the new recruits to get in as much training as possible now that they're part of a 'dangerous' organization. Overwatch wasn't necessarily a dangerous organization per se, but more like an.... 'unpredictable' organization. His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice and a familiar footsteps. It was just Sara. She was just there to pick up the recruits for screenings. It's a normal thing to do right after initiations after all.

"Actually, yes Sara. After their screenings, I need you to take them to their mentors for the week." Sol responded casually. Hopefully the recruits train well, because Overwatch gives the new recruits about a week to get used to their surroundings and familiarize themselves with the routines before setting the recruit off on their own. "And coincidentally, you are one of their mentors Sara."

Sol in front of the two new recruits, gesturing for Holly to step up. Nervously, the lad complied and stepped forward to his hand motion. "This here is Holly, an expert with botany. She is more defensed-based than your healing-based prowess, but I feel as though you can assist her with improving her capabilities and caring her for the week as you both are specialized with chemicals and biology."

"As for Roulette here," Sol started up again. "I've decided her mentor is going to be Genji. I can call up Genji, just lead Roulette back to the training room when you are done with your scans."

Genji was a Blackwatch member, where their headquarters right now is within France. Recruits generally get mentored by anyone who was within the Overwatch headquarters, but seeing as how Roulette and Genji had much in common, Sol decided it was best for Genji to mentor the magician. Genji luckily complied and was making a flight back to Overwatch Headquarters, currently residing in Florida.
-------------------
Pharah was up within the air, shooting down at Sombra and Damien who, much to her disinterest, had dodged all of her shots. The duo of Sombra and Damien had gotten into the car. Pharah focused her rocket launcher at the car, hoping it would stop the Talon members in their tracks, hindering their movements. Her shot was hindered as she was being shot at, more like sniped at. Pharah dodged the first snipe, surprised at the sudden attack. Looking at where the shot came from, she sees a person with a sniper rifle aiming at her. Pharah dodged out of the way for the second shot, but she got hit in her leg for the third shot.

Pharah landed on the ground, but hid out of the way of the sniper's sights. Pharah quickly went to her communicator. "Brigette, Kento. Sniper at a building 3 blocks down, northeast from the bar. I can't fly and chase after Talon with the sniper around. Kento, take it out quickly." Pharah said. Pharah began to fly up again, staying low so hopefully the sniper doesn't see her.

Brigette, having heard all of what Pharah said, quickly took action. Brigette continued taking shots at the sniper at where both Kento and Pharah had pointed out. Being Reinhardt's squire for her whole life had taught her little to nothing of aim. She's more of a melee fighter than a ranged fighter like Kento.

"Kento, take back your crossbow," Brigette called out to the agent as she gave back the crossbow. "I got an idea, but I have to get off. Just keep the sniper distracted if you can." Brigette jumped off the motorcycle with ease and landed on her foot. She began running in the opposite direction. She took out her communicator. "Pharah, keep chasing them. Me and Kento will deal with 'em." Brigette ran with her shield up, to protect herself from any potential snipes. She arrived at the building of where the sniper was and went on in.
-----------------
Damien got in the car as Sombra had commanded. Damien revved up the car and went after the motorcycle with their target and some odd half human-half omnic. Damien stepped on the gas pedal, quickly trying to catch up to the runaway target. As soon as the car was close enough, in range of Sombra's hacking, Sombra reached out her hand to initiate the hack on the motorcycle.

"That can't be good..."

Alister frowned when she saw a car speed up behind them. Sombra's hand reached out and it appeared the girl aimed to try and do something to their bike. And whatever it was, that could not have been good.

"I don't mean to come off as a nag, but we've got more company and they are right on our heels." Alister said to Mara before he moved his chainsaw hand behind him as he aimed to slow down Sombra's advance. Alister released an electric surge and shot a spark at Sombra's hand as he aimed to deliver a Spark Surge to try and paralyze Sombra long enough for Mara to gain some distance on them. Fighting on a bike had not been Alister's preference, but he was in no position to control that. He had to do his best to save their skins.

-----------
Roulette walked with her fellow recruit behind Tracer and Sol before she heard Sol explain their situation and more importantly explained who her mentor was to be. And that got Roulette a bit excited.

Genji! My mentor is Genji!? Oh my god this is amazing...okay calm down there. You gotta look cool for him. Don't want someone like Genji to think of you as a lame pupil.

Kento growled, as it was hard enough to continue shooting while driving. It seems as the robotic person was no longer their priority. "You do you." Before he placed his knees on the motorbikes handles, taking both hands on the crossbow. One eye on the roof, the other on the road, Kento took aim at the sniper. The shot wouldn't be eay, but the aim wasn't to kill. It was to distract. No sniper expects the target to shoot back. Kento charged the bolt, firing off an arrow arcing with electricity. "Eat electricity, sniper."

Sombra jerked her hand when the electric spark hit her. She couldn't hack if she got interrupted by attacks.

"Damien, let's just do this the old way. Bump them." Damien nodded and step on the gas more. The car sped up next to the motor cycle then trying to corner them into the edge of the street.

---------

X Factor was looking for Pharah to shoot at when a bolt of electricity gushed right at her. It just mere luck that she was only grazed on the cheek. She touched her cheek and found purple blood dripping. She gritted her teeth. Time to look for another place.

She packed her rifle into a guitar case and walked inside the hotel. Unlike other Talon member's flashy costume, her costume was normal enough that she could walk on the street without attracting any attention, which is good.

The hotel corridor was spacious, only a few people were visible, the rest was in deep sleep in their own comfortable room. She checked her watch, it's 2.30 a.m.

X Factor entered the elevator at the same time as a young man with a small suitcase. He seemed to be in a hurry. She looked at the elevator button and found that the ground and basement level button were the most faded button. She looked at the corner of the elevator and it seemed that somewhen in the past a CCTV was installed here, but not now. She looked-

Ah no, she must focus now. She closed her eyes for a few seconds. Formulating the next shooting point.

Striker saw Vixen as she attempted to strike her from her left side and quickly brought up her gauntlet to block the blow. Sparks flew as the metal of the claws clashed with the metal of Striker's gauntlet, though Striker held her guard and even smirked back at Vixen.

"Man, so quick to presume my own ally would try to take me out. Is that how Talon operates so you just made that guess?" Striker retorted before she delivered a strike with her right hand as she aimed the gauntlet covered fist right for Vixen's chest with the intent to deliver a power punch to the chest.

Cipher spoke into his communicator, a hand to the side of his mask as he looked out from the ledge and over the road. "Well, you seem to have caught yourself up. I don't think you'll need my help. I'll just stick to the sidelines, if any police or government forces show up i'll handle them, and if you get in a bad spot i can Nanoblink one of you out, that or pop in to provide you with support." Despite the calm and rational way he acted, this was clearly different from his usual. He didn't want to let it slip, but he was half- ...no, scared wasn't the correct word. Anxious? Antsy? Worried? Partially concerned? Either way, he hoped maybe he wouldn't have to hurt them too much, or that he ran to somebody he knew. Now that would be... awkward.

C.O. in the possession of Mara could hear what was going on behind him. He peeked over to see someone shooting off an electrical arrow at them. The lightning bolt struck C.O. hard as it began to get absorbed into this Omnic body, but that didn't deter his steering. It just caused him to lean more to the left before correcting himself before he hit a fence or a tree or something. He could be heard chuckling as he looked over at the man with glee. He had given the robot power. He looked on behind him to see someone with purple hair reaching out to them in a red car, who was then shot by the same sniper who shot them. Whose side was on whose? C.O. couldn't tell if the guy on the motorbike was working for Talon or not, but seeing him take aim at the sniper who was shooting at them must tell him that the sniper must be working with Sombra, who is working for Talon. That makes this guy Overwatch. He must be Overwatch. If that was the case, he had Mara yell over to the guy, since she was better at talking to Overwatch members than he was. Obviously. His thinking had made him unaware that Alister had said something but C.O. marked it off as not important at the moment.

"HEY! You aren't working for Talon? I'm trying to get this guy safely away from Talon! Maybe we can work together!"

Since she wasn't controlling her body much besides talking and looking over at the guy, her peripheral vision had caught the car speeding up. Oh no... C.O. responded by quickly moving to the side so the headlight was next to him. He then took a shuriken and threw it at the car. He leaded the target and was aiming specifically for the tire. If it didn't hit the target, it could maybe ricochet off the ground and hit a back tire. Hopefully that was the case, or else they'll crush against something.

Holly's attention from Sol and Tracer was drawn to the sudden noise of metal clicking and clanking against the floor, turning to see another woman approach them. She stuck out from many other persons she had seen apart of the organization so far, however, most notably with her mechanical limbs, fitted to look like raptor legs and a tail.

Her mouth slightly hung agape as she stared at the digitigrade legs, a couple questions running through her mind, ranging from how she came to acquire the mechanics, to Sara's choice of model. She suddenly shut her mouth when she realized she was staring, her eyes flicking from the appendages to Sara's face. According to Sol, Roulette would have Genji as a mentor, while Holly herself would be staying with Sara after the medical examination. Her mouth opened to speak again, lips parting. "Right-" She nodded, hoping not to come off as clueless or rude just yet. "It's nice to meet you. I don't, uh, have any allergies, no... So feel free to lead the way. I'm ready for the examination whenever."

Sara nodded towards Sol and raised an eyebrow as she was chosen to be a mentor. She looked over at Holly with nothing in her eyes. Just as long as she doesn't get in the way of my creations, we'll be fine, she thought. Although, when she had heard about Holly's expertise with her plants, her expression didn't change, but there was a twinkle in her eye. Maybe she can be of some use then...

She looked over to Sol and nodded in understanding. "I shall assist her and help improve her capabilities. I think we'll get along just fine."

She looked over to Holly and responded to her staring that she had noticed. "It's alright to stare. I get much worse than a pair of eyes staring at my legs. I have gotten used to it. If you have any questions regarding my model, you can always ask. I won't hurt and I'll respect you, just as long as you respect me."

With that, she nodded, recording the answer to her question. She looked over at Roulette and noticed her preoccupied in thought. She clicked her pen several times as a passive aggressive way to get her attention. If that didn't work, she cleared her throat. "Um... ahem... Do you have any allergies, Roulette?"

She really hated repeating herself.

Holly swallowed, twirling a lock of pink hair out of nervousness. Although she was hoping to make a good impression with Sara and prove herself worthy of being apart of the organization, the raptor-woman seemed all too stoic for Holly not to be anxious. She had obviously caught onto her staring, prompting the girl to grow red and momentarily avert her eyes. "M-My bad." She swallowed, taking in a deep breath before opening her mouth to speak again.

"I was just curious as to why you chose to model the appendages after a velociraptor, if that was your choice in the first place. I'd imagine that they'd enhance speed or something along the lines of that, right? And then the tail would have to be included for balance... I'm just wondering what made you pick a raptor over another animal with similar qualities." Her brown eyes found themselves once again on the legs, though out of curiosity more than judgement. "I have friends that are more into mechanics and engineering than I am, but I'd definitely be willing to learn."

"Zut," Damien called out to no one in particular.

"What? What's wrong," Sombra asked panicked.

"Our back tire got slashed, we need to eject." Damien calmly said, though yu can tell he was pissed.

"We're not going down without a fight," Sombra said. The car was practically skidding along the road right now, They were still moving, but dramatically slower. Sombra climbed to the roof of their car. With careful aim, she arced her translocator far in front of the motorcycle and immediately teleported a few feet in front of the runaways.

Sombra ran towards the motorcycle, two of her arms extended. Before doing so, Sombra went invisible to hide herself from view. Sombra ran towards the motorcycle and grazed her arms on two objects. Her left arm touched the motorcycle, immediately hacking the automobile to stop it from moving. But her right arm only grazed the second object: the half-omnic. Sombra wasn't fully sure if she successfully hacked the omnic, but she at least stopped them in their tracks for now.

Suddenly, Damien came out of nowhere, having caught up with the hacker and the runaways after ditching the car. Using the whip he had around his neck, Damien immediately aimed the whip towards the neck of Maverick, hoping he can finish this and snap his neck.
----------------
Brigitte climbed up to the building, that was crowded. But this was for sure the building the sniper came from. Brigitte looked through floor by floor as fast as she could, but from her misfortune, the sniper was nowhere to be found.

"Kento, sniper is nowhere found. Keep an eye out. Pharah, sniper is currently down, you can get a move on."

"Understood. Kento if you can spot where that sniper could be, that would work much more in our favor." The Lieutenant responded to her receiver and flew higher in the air. She scanned the skies watching where the chase would be. She snaps her head to the right, hearing car revving in that vicinity. Quickly flying towards that area, Pharah spots the Talon members chasing after what seems to be two innocents. Though she couldn't clearly recognize as the cars were moving pretty fast.

Pharah made her way towards the Talon's car in an attempt to stop and foil their plans.

Genji's flight didn't take long as the two headquarters were actually conveniently near each other. Genji gets out of his drop ship, the Blackwatch pilot flying their plane back to Blackwatch headquarters. The Japanese cyberninja was greeted with the well known scientist Sol. "Greetings Sol."

"Hey Genji, thank you for coming here on short notice, but we've found a training-agent that greatly resembles your fighting style and mobility." Sol greeted back as he got straight to the point with Genji's purpose at the Overwatch headquarters.

"Very well," Genji understanding the situation. "Where is the 'Roulette' you spoke of earlier."

Sol led Genji to where Roulette should be waiting for the duo, within the training room.

"Ah son of a...!" Alister said, though he cut off his curse as he began to rev up his chainsaw once more as he saw the incoming whip targeted at him.

Electricity flashed as Alister had a quick response to this. He aimed to slice the whip as he closed in on him with his chainsaw. If he was successful in this, Alister would try to blast a paralyzing spark surge of electricity at Damien. All of that however depended on if he could cut the whip or not.

-----------
Roulette had been quiet in the training room as she waited for this agent named Genji to appear. In fact she had been so lost in thought she failed to notice Sara's question and when she heard it a second time Roulette snapped from her daze as she turned to her and had an apologetic look.

"O-oh I am sorry. No, I do not have any actually..." Roulette said, the guilt on her face clear as day for "blowing" Sara off which itself was interrupted as soon enough a new arrival caught her focus when the swordsman arrived; and already she felt some nerves creep up that the recruit desperately tried to suppress.

Come on, don't be so flustered! You have to look cool and be composed or this guy won't have any respect for you...

"H-hello, I take it you are Genji. I-it is an honor. My name is Roulette." Roulette said, as she swallowed her nerves and gave her introduction to the veteran agent.

Sara relentlessly kept staring at Holly, probably not making it better for her. She waved a hand nonchalantly at her "my bad" comment. She didn't exactly seem to care about apologies or the fact that Holly was nervous. Although, she listened to her questions and gave a response for each.

"I had loved velociraptors and their design appealed to me. Plus, after some tests, it was the most stable of all the legs we had access to. After my accident left me severely crippled, I couldn't walk very well without a tail, since all of my nerve endings past my lumbar region were damaged. I had velociraptor legs, but I wasn't able to properly stand without falling over. Plus, it just didn't look right. So we added a very prehensile tail. Even though velociraptors don't have prehensile tails, I needed one because I thought it would make it easier to balance and, sometimes, I do need an extra hand in the lab. But yes, your initial assumptions about speed and balance are correct."

After Roulette finally answered her question, she recorded it on a separate sheet underneath Holly's. She peeked up at Genji and nodded in greeting. "Hello, Genji Shimada. Welcome back. Are there any medical complications you are experiencing right now that you'd think I'd like to look at before I screen our two recruits?" She noted Roulette's... Flustered expression and wrote down that Roulette considered Genji as an idol and was a huge fangirl.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
C.O. had seen the translocator up ahead, and tried to swerve out of the way, but Sombra still managed to get her hands on them, since he didn't see her invisibility. The motorcyle did get affected and the engine stopped and the machine slowed to a halt, and she definitely hit C.O. with it. The hacking caught C.O. off guard and he couldn't hold back the hack. As an emergency, he shut off all powers and reverted all power to Mara's vital signs, which that section of her body was protected from hacking. At least Mara was safe.
Mara gasped as she regained control, but the immediate return caused immense pain in her chest. She got off, heaving heavily for a bit before recovering. Her poor ride was hacked, but hopefully it comes back online. She ripped the key out and cut open her tights with the key, and stuck it back in her leg. She put on her razor gloves and pulled out her swords. She saw Alister was dealing with Damien, so she tried to see some of that purple haired girl again. If she was invisible, then maybe she could see a shimmer of the invisibility wearing off?
Vixen saw the punch coming and twisted her body to avoid it. She use the momentum to spin her body and attempted to deliver a spinning attack at Striker's head with both of her metal claws.
"I will gladly cut Damien if I can cut you for free." She said to Striker, her wide grins still hasn't disappeared yet. Give me more! Give me more!
Tabitha, she's Tabitha now. Your everyday girl with a guitar case. The elevator door opened, revealing a lobby with people looking at the stairs like something unusual just happened.
Tabitha passed through the lobby without drawing any attention. She overheard some people talking about a woman with armored suit. Did an overwatch member just entered this building? She really didn't notice it. If she were a bit late then she would have been forced to fight whoever that is, but damn, they were causing a ruckus. She was sure someone had called the police already, she just hope none of the goverment's mad dogs coming here. Things would turn very ugly if that happen.
Tabitha walked out of the hotel and called a taxy, she opened her communicator and looked at the allies radar that Sombra had installed. Vixen still in the original spot while Damien and Sombra had stopped in the middle of the road. Tabitha told the driver to drive her to a spot that was quite close to the spot where Damien and Sombra stop. The driver nods and step on the gas.
Striker grunted as she quickly brought her hands up and blocked the claw strikes, though the force of the downward swing did keep her on the defensive as sparks again flew from metal colliding with metal.
"Ah, it's almost cute how passionate you are about this. Unfortunately I don't share the same interest..." Striker replied as she used her brute muscle and aimed to push Vixen off her. If this worked, Striker aimed to quickly grab the girl by the wrists and would try to slam her to the pavement.
Genji nodded in acknowledgement of his now new found disciple. Ironic how he was a disciple to Zenyatta years back, only to find himself becoming the mentor of a new disciple. The younger Shimada brother shook his head towards Sara when asked if he had any medical problems. "If I were to have a medical problem, I would went to Angela," Genji chuckled a bit, referring to the medical field head Mercy. "But no, I have no issues, for now at least."
The Blackwatch Agent turned back to Roulette. "Since you are now my student, let's get to training shall we? Tell me a little bit about yourself and what you can do first off."
Sol, in the meanwhile, had left to attend to more of his work prior of the new recruits. He headed to the climitology station, where Mei was still working on her stuff.
Sara sighed a bit and firmly situated her clipboard before looking at Genji, an annoyed look in her eyes. "Mr. Shimada, I would prefer I do screenings on Roulette first before we do more training. Although, you can follow us as the recruits and I head to the medical wing and she can relay information she can about herself."
Although, she didn't seem to be annoyed by the fact that Genji preferred Mercy over her. She would prefer to have Mercy over herself any day. It would mean she would have a break.
Striker knocked most of air in the Vixen's lungs when she was slammed on the pavement. A line of blood flowed from her mouth.
"T-That's some... passionate banging you get there." She said weakly. She vanished from Striker's grasp before reappearing behind her. Her metal claws glimmering in the dark night. She planted her legs on the ground before leaning forward and start launching 32 claw attacks at Striker. It started with normal claw attack, but the next attack always stronger and faster than before. Her eyes turned red and she could saw lines all over Striker's body. The technique had taken over and told her where to strike, and she would gladly obey her primal instinct.
Tiger Style: 32 claws of doom.
She didn't even realize that she launched all those attacks while laughing like a maniac.
Tabitha, no, X Factor. She had arrived at her destination and paid off the driver. She opened her guitar case and pulled her kitty rifle.
After checking her allies position on the radar. She choose an abandoned contruction site as her defense spot.
Roulette heard of Genji's request to explain what she could do, and quickly pulled out a pair of her cards though she had no intention to use them on Genji.
"I use these cards as projectiles. I can toss them from mid-to long range and they explode on contact typically. I usually use quickness to gain distance and maneuver around my opponent as I am not the most...polished, hand to hand fighter." Roulette explained as she had done her best to give a brief explanation of her weapon and fighting style to the veteran. Due to him being a sword specialist Roulette likely figured he would be disappointed in her close-range limitations at the moment.
Holly couldn't help but stare once more as Genji entered, observing his cybernetic body as well before looking to Roulette. She seemed interested with the agent, but likely in a different manner than herself. Her brown eyes darted back to Sara, smoothing out her tank top and trying to look more presentable and professional over her watchful eye. "That's very interesting, actually. There's just something about taking natural occurrences or builds, and using them in modern technology that's pretty fascinating, you know? Whether it be taking inspiration from animals, or especially plants..." Despite her curiosity and dreamy outlook on things, Sara's gaze still made the young woman feel slightly self conscious. "Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself... Um- What else does the medical exam entail, exactly? Besides needing to know allergies."
Sara's irritable look disappeared as Holly talked with her again and had actually taken interest in her biomechanics. There was a hint of a smile before it vanished and she looked at Holly not as a recruit, but as an equal as she listened. Although, when she went back to talking about the medical exams, her eyes still held the look, but her stare was still a little on the cold side, as if she were a robot giving off factual information.
"Oh, I would just need a sample of your blood, normal check up examinations a regular doctor would do like checking the ears and eyes, as well as any information about where you have been, what illnesses you've been sick with if you can remember them, and your personal life. We want to make sure that any place you've gone to won't hamper your ability to work here, as well as make sure you don't have a disease that hitched a ride with you. We'll also be doing a full x-ray imaging profile on your body as control just in case we need to do another x-ray of a site of your body that is said to be painful and we can see the difference. We'll also be monitoring the devices you have on you to see if it does anything to your body, but that can be later, since the x-ray imaging profiles can take up to 10 minutes, and everything else can take up to 10 more minutes. 20 minutes in total, normally."
With that out of the way, there was another hint of a smile when she went back to what Holly was daydreaming about. "Anyway, I do find the incorporation of nature into modern technology extremely fascinating. I was busy making a pair of wings that can actually go through the motions of flying like a bird or a bat instead of using energy cells to propel one through the air like Pharah's or Mercy's wings."
Crap!
Striker had little time to react as Vixen seemed to vanish before she appeared behind her as Strike had to respond quickly. Slamming her gauntlets together she used her Gauntlet Guard and generated a 3-meter shield that began to block the rapid claw strikes.
For a short while, however the sheer number of them proved too much for the shield to bear and before long the strikes gave way to the force of the claws as the shield broke and Strike had been forced to hold her gauntlets up for a melee guard.
Clank!
Shink!
Slash!
Striker managed to block a few of the remaining blows with her gauntlets, but some others slipped through as her shoulder and thigh were slashed which caused Strike to winch in pain and jump back to gain distance. Blood dripped from those areas Vixen's claws struck as she wiped some of it with her thumbs before she faced Vixen...and smirked.
"Okay, kitty's got sharp claws. But it's gonna take more than a paper cut to beat me sweetie." Striker said as she aimed to mask the wounds with a boast before she aimed to take the fight back to her. As she charged forward and aimed to throw a couple of quick jabs aimed at Vixen's gut. If those connected, she'd try to send her flying with a big right hook to the face; Vixen had the advantage and Striker aimed to take it back with a quick counter offensive.
Damien expected his whip to be cut their target's chainsaw. He retracted the cut whip. Then he immediately grabbed the other whip around his arm and whipped at Maverick intending for the whip to wrap around the arm with the chainsaw to enable the target to use his weapon. Little did Maverick know that his engineered whip was actually an extendable whip, thanks to the scientists of Talon. Even if the whips were cut, he would still be able to extend his whip fabricated from carbon dioxide and monoxide in the air. The cut whip immediately retracted to it's original length.
Sombra was indeed back to her invisible form. She had thrown her translocator through a building window as a precautionary measure if she was able to take out and disable their target's accomplice. Hanging from a lamp post, Sombra released her invisibility and shot directly at the half omnic-half human with her sub machine gun.
--------------------
Pharah, in the meanwhile, had finally made it over to to the location of two battles. The battle between Maverick, the former Overwatch agent, and Damien & the half omnic/human and Sombra. But she didn't who the half omnic/human was, thus she deemed them as enemies. Pharah fired three rockets. The rockets were directed at everyone that wasn't Maverick. She knew Maverick was being attacked, he was the target after all. Talon was aiming for him.
Genji raised his hand to chest level towards Sara. "Rest assured Sara," Genji stated. "I was planning to follow the group in the first place, I was meaning to ask questions towards Roulette along the way, that's all. Training always comes after a health scan, your medic head did teach after all."
The younger Shimada brother only nodded, in acknowledgement of what Roulette had informed him of her capability. "I see." Genji contemplated on why Sol would've called called a swordsman like him to assist with a long-ranged magician like Roulette. It was a a few seconds before it clicked. That's why he called me. "As you know probably know, I'm more of a close-ranged fighter. But that doesn't mean I have long-ranged criteria to assist me in battles. Training would go perfectly." Genji said.
"As soon as we finish the scan of course," Genji said, reassuring the medic in their area.
Shit!
Alister groaned as he quickly saw the whip wrap around his arm and the chainsaw as Alister knew he had to act quickly; as he had been unable to pull away from Damien's grip.
So Alister got creative, and began to channel his electricity and sent it surging; as he tried to have it travel through the whip towards Damien forming an electric current. The missiles around him had only added to the insanity as Alister had no way to know if that was an Overwatch agent or a Talon operative.
----------
Roulette had no way to know what Genji would say about her style, though her question soon got an answer which made her smile. In spite of those differences, Genji had seen enough in her to consider training her worth something. Roulette could not contain her excitement, as she practically jumped in the air to celebrate before she overheard the mention scan which caused nerves to come crawling back.
"S-scan?" Roulette asked Genji, unaware of the standard procedure of Overwatch. Or so she presumed was the purpose behind this scan.
Mara looked about, her body still and tense for this purple haired lady to show herself. She saw something up on a lamppost and then looked up to see someone with wings firing rockets at them. Fuck... She threw two more of her ninja stars at Sombra, while her chassis on her chest took some of the bullets, and she yelled at the woman with wings that "I was helping Mav escape" before hopping on top one of the missiles to guide it towards Sombra, hoping that the missiles won't... Explode... If she landed on it. Once she did land on it, she would pull up on the nose of the missile... If the missile doesn't explode with her on it, of course.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sara smiled softly as Genji allowed her for the medical scan at the moment. Although, when Roulette wasn't paying attention, she just made an irritated sigh, as she hated saying the same thing twice. "It's a medical scan. I'll need a sample of your blood, do normal checkup examinations like a normal doctor, any information of any places you've been, what illnesses you have if you can remember, and I'll ask questions about your personal life. We want to make sure that any place you've gone to won't hamper your ability to work here, as well as make sure you don't have a disease that hitched a ride with you. Now that you are done oggling at your mentor, I supposed we should get going."

Her metallic clanking and clicking could be heard as she walked towards the medical room, her tail swishing about a little irritably, but not enough to accidentally hurt someone if they got slapped with it.

Roulette listened as the woman with the tail explained the process of this medical procedure, and while all the parts seemed like much for her to take in Roulette got the general gist of it. With a nod Roulette Sara as she put off her fan-girl side and would go to get this medical examination if for nothing else but to give the Overwatch directors & fellow agents less reason to worry.
