WHY IS THIS THE MOST CONVENIENT, UNNECESSARY PLOT DEVICE I THINK I'VE EVER SEEN!?!?
I mean come on, do you really wanna have a bad time? Because if you continue the path you're taking, you're REALLY not gonna like what happens next.

I guess Dave could try and help? Since he sees everything in slow motion when his powers are activated, it really contradicts @OmnipotentOnion villain's ability to seemingly predict every attack. Dave can see anything this guy pulls outta his ass...
Same goes for Jack in a Dave v Jack scenario.
