New Videos of Pokemon Battle Revolution

Discussion in 'Pokémon Games Discussion' started by David Da Bomb, Dec 16, 2006.

  1. Here some videos of full, 3-On-3 Battles from the latest Pokemon game:

The music is quite catchy in that one.

ANOTHER great track and Yukimenoko's performance will knock your socks off!

    Seismic Toss= ;D 'Nuff said!

    This one's a Double Battle

;D The way that Dokurog moves is funny to look at.

EDIT: Um, isn't anybody going to tell me what they think about these? ???
  2. Awesome David! *cheers* lol I didn't know Yuki's arm's were attached to it's head? and it's waist is so thin0.0 ^_^ O.O omg did you see Blissy's sesmic toss *gets excited and giddy* and Mimilop was so cute when she was hoping forward to attack! Oh sooo awesome I can't wait for this game now.
  3. The way did Seismic Toss in this game reminded me of how Seismic Toss looked like in the anime.

I was quite surprised to find out Yukimenoko's arms were attached to her head ever since I saw her back sprite.

One thing I give this game props for is making rather ugly models look relatively decent. Flygon's could still use some work (its lower body looks too freakin' fat), but the sharpness of the graphics help to make up for it.

Is Battle Rev really just standard battle after battle, with no mini-games or special battling rules whatsoever? (ie. Battle Frontier-ish variations) If so, they could've done so much more with it (where's my Battle Bingo? :(). Even the Pokemon Stadium games had some mini-games thrown in to mix things up a little, and with use of the Wiimote they easily could've gone the extra mile and given us a few. Personally, I find these straight battle videos rather boring =/

Any videos detailing the usage of the custom trainer system? I'd like to see how wide a variety of stuff can be used.

It'll be nice to have Battle Rev for testing my teams, creating a custom trainer, and battling friends - doubt I'd want to go back to DS battling when you can do it in THREE-DEE-goodness XD - but that's about it. The fact that it's out so soon after launch explains why there's a lack of much else, though. Here's hoping that Wii's second Pokemon game goes a bit further with features.

Now that's the sort of stuff I wanna see. Thanks, DDB ^^

Just having such a wide variety of stuff to collect will keep me playing for a fair bit - I'm obsessive that way. I like all the little edits you can make to your trainer and trainer card, too, like what you say, how your trainer card is displayed, etc. Only gaining the backgrounds of certain Colosseum after you've beaten them is a nice touch.

The thing I wonder about is whether I'd want to share my trainer card, though. Would you really want someone who you may battle again knowing every single attack your Pokemon have? ... Although, if you're one of those "standard moveset" whores, it wouldn't really matter since people would more or less already know exactly what you'd have.

I finally got to see what all the raving about Seismic Toss was, too. Pretty nifty 8)
  6. And you have to admit that these PBR videos have much better picture and sound quality that the Colosseum videos that DariganX had.

Well, that's just you. I actually like to see the new Pokemon in action, especial Mikaruge ;D.

Yes, that is just me. What's your point? :p

Seeing the new Pokemon in action will mean much more to me when I'm the one using them/battling against them. A lot of those vids lag badly, too.

And I have no idea who DariganX is o.O

I decided to check out one of DariganX's videos. Why did the first one I watch have to involve that bloody "Skarmbliss" strategy? @_@

But ignore me. Thanks for the vids, DDB. I love double battles ^^

EDIT: LOL. Man, I'm slow. It took me two videos to realize that the player was using a mock-TR team XD

These videos seem to be able to hold my attention easier. Not sure if it's due to less lagging or the fact that they're double battles, though. And people were right. Charizard does look a lot better now o.o
