Private/Closed Naruto AU: Roleplay

“Kai?” The Uchiha was a bit skeptical upon hearing Sagisō’s response. It was only when the droplets of rain made contact with his hair that Kiro looked to see Hyōryugetsu just standing on a tree branch, watching their group. “A Hōzuki?” Kiro questioned aloud upon analyzing the girl’s form with the sharingan. Being a Mist native, Kiro knew all about their noble clans. Hyō being there only meant that it was the Mist who were on their way.

That speculation was only confirmed once Kiro saw a familiar creature flying towards them. It was a giant ice wyvern. Now he saw what Sagisō meant by saying Kai but... “Lady Hinagiku should’ve known we already have the jinchuriki. Was the plan to lure them into a trap or is there something else I should know?”

Sagisō

Sagisō was given pause as Kiro continued to speak, she thought about it for a moment before adding. "Two of them for now, and within another minute or two, there will be two more. It'll be four against six...do you think we'd lose?"

She neglected to mention the fact that the second Yuki —Tsuki— was a complete newbie who’d barely started training her chakra in the last year. So it would be more a case of 6 vs 3 ½.

After a while of pointless staring, Shura decided to drop his gaze from the Hōzuki. Looking up at the sky and the rain Hyo brought along, Shura put an arm up to block the droplets from his eyes. “Oh yeah, I should get that done before I forget.” He thought to himself as he suddenly remembered what he wanted to do when he first left his team to regroup with Sagisō and Furijia. Shura walked over to Sagisō. “Hey Sagisō.” He started, raising his hand towards her. “Can you give me my chain back? You took it when we sparred before this mission started and I would like it back.” He continued.

Quickly, without even seeing who was in the party, Kai jumped off the wyvern, throwing it down toward them in a dive bomb tactic. Looks like he didn’t want his enemies to speak with whomever came to their aid.

“Gah!”

Kai made a handisgn, the wyevern crashing down In the middle of everything, exploding in a hellstorm of shrapnel. Kai, Lansing on a nearby tree branch peered down like a hawk in the icy mist that now was rising due to the amount of ice steaming up from the crash site.

Raiku dodged Sakon and Ukon's attacks and by ducking and then jumped off the tree before exploding into a large flash of light. Suddenly Raiku came out of a tree and slashed at Kidomaru who he had sneaked up on. His slash produced a crescent fire-natured chakra attack that was directed to slice at the sound ninja from close range while he was distracted by the light produced by his Genjutsu clone that Sakura made out of flames. This genjutsu was initiated when they jumped out of the flames into the trees and their team was replaced by clones.

“Not a chance.” Kiro responded bluntly. Taking the others out of the equation, Kiro had no doubt in his mind Sagisō and him could put up one hell of a fight against whoever those four were. Maybe they would still lose but it would be a close one. Adding the others just stacked the odds overwhelmingly in their favor. And if they decided to use teamwork for once, it would be a wrap.

In any case, this was before Kai decided to drop the giant ice wyvern on top of them. Kiro would’ve reacted himself but he trusted the Hyūga trio to defend the rest of them from the assault.

Takato had managed to find some relief when Hina appeared as the group worked to regroup as it were, his weapon or whatever item he had found placed back into his pocket. Though before they had much comfort Sagiso returned with "Hina" as she made a one word mention of a new issue as the Kiri-mad man Kai appeared with an ice Wyvern.

The frozen fuck!

Tayuya broke her subtle longing gaze towards the wall as she prepared a flute for the attack that charged at their collective heads as Takato also prepared some hand signs to defend himself.

Sagisō

A sly smirk crossed her lips. She agreed with Kiro's sentiment. Just as she was about to respond, Kai —never quite being able to read the atmosphere— decided to butt in. “Shura! Furījia!” Barking out swiftly, Sagisō swiveled on her feet, kick-starting a rotation as Furījia joined in and presumably Shura. The wyvern would, ideally, ram itself against the triple grinder.

After the matter, she would retrieve Shura’s chain and toss it to him before quipping, “Guess we’re partying.”

As Shura was looking towards Sagiso, wanting to retrieve his chain, Kai's abrupt interruption caused the Hyuga to turn towards the Yuki who just arrived. Groaning slightly at his appearance, Shura stared at the ice drone the ice user sent crashing towards them. Glancing to the side he heard Sagsio's quip. "Heh, seems like it." He said back before getting into the position and performing a Rotation along the two other Hyuga.

While this happened, Henshina was in the back looking at the scene happen. She decided to get involved unless she needed to, mainly because that was what Gyuuki had commanded her to do.

Hyōryugetsu

The Hōzuki watched with hesitant interest as Kai directly attacked the ground of 5 Shinobi and one near Jonin-level jinchuriki. The only thought that came to her mind was... ‘Why..?’

Regardless, he was now loosely committed to battle, and by implication so was she. She sat down on the tree-branch cross-legged and focused her attention on her summons. She would need more rain.

As the surrounding area began to grow foggy due to the ice steaming up from the crash, Kiro looked up to see where his old friend had landed. It was reminiscent of the first time they had met. Except this time their roles were switched and Kiro was the one looking up to Kai. However, they were still unable to see each other clearly.

The Uchiha looked down for a moment and let out a sigh before turning to face the Nadeshiko. “Sagisō, let me deal with Kai. I’m certain you and the others can handle the other three without much issue. Is that alright?” Though Kiro could’ve probably just left without warning, he waited for the okay from her. They were still on a mission after all.

Sagisō

Knitting her brow together, Sagisō briefly pondered... From her own experiences Kai... was kind of an asshole, and had just the right amount of courage— or idiocy, she couldn’t really tell— to do something crazy in efforts to drag their entire team down with him. Personally, she bristled at the thought of a fight and a chance to settle a few...grievances, but she knew better.

She had seen first hand how Kai got when it came to Kiro and was her judgment told her that...it was for the best to let the two deal with each other.

Nodding to Kiro, she turned to the rest of the team, gesturing for the Hyūga to take a fan-like formation in front of Tayuya and Takato. It was best that those two be put out of harm’s way. Simultaneously, her other hand went behind her back, flashing simple hand-signs to Tayuya, trying to convey a message.

Wait. For. My. Signal.

After deflecting the ice debris, Shura locked his eyes on Kai. Seeing Sagisō gesture them to form a fan-like formation formation in font of Takato and Tayuya, Shura did exactly that.

Shura had heard the brief exchange between Kiro and Sagisō about Kiro asking to leave Kai to him. Shura glances towards the Uchiha. “You plan on taking your former companion huh.” He said in a low voice.

Kiro returned a nod of thanks to Sagisō before quietly responding to Shura’s comment. “Yeah, something like that I suppose.” Truthfully Kiro just wanted to talk but if Kai wanted a fight, then there was nothing stopping him from doing so. The Uchiha then swiftly made his up the tree, stopping once on the same branch of his former comrade.

Even now, Kiro still found it difficult to face Kai. His sharingan was already deactivated as well. Perhaps it was the guilt that Kiro felt for the way things were handled back then. Whatever the feeling was, he had already come this far and couldn’t back out now. After taking a breath, Kiro managed to look directly at the Yuki before greeting him.

“Yo Kai, it’s been awhile hasn’t it?”

Kai’s heart skipped a beat as his eyes caught the image of a figure he never thought he would see here of all places. Kiro. In the flesh. It...it couldn’t be...could it? Kai had taken a quick once around to make sure it wasn’t a genjustu trick, making a dispel. Sure enough, Kiro was certainly real. Kai hopped down from the tree branch, looking forward for a second.

The wind blew against his hair, leaves rustling from kiro’s Side of the field, and the wyvern ice still steaming from kai’s. Kai took his mask off and tossed it to the ground, running up toward Kiro and pulling the Uchiha into a tight embrace.

“Kiro!” Kai said, emotion apparent in his voice. “I thought I wouldn’t see you again...”

Kai, pulling himself off, glared Kiro in the eye.

“What did those foul greeners do?! Have they been torturing you?! Experimentation?!

......

“Multiple kicks, whirlwind!”

Sakon covered his eyes from the blinding attack, ukon driving forward the attack to cancel out kakashi’s wind attack with a miniature tornado spinning in the opposite direction. Sakon growled.

“So then, that’s how it’s gonna be...!”

Kidomaru meanwhile, heard a rustling behind him. He turned his head right as Raiku lunged his way with a blade. Eyes widening, Kidomaru’s Pores began to secrete a thick chakra like substance. As soon as Raiku struck his left arm, it drew a little blood before being lodged in a new plate of silk armor. Kidomaru snickered.

“You have entered the spider’s web!”

Kidomaru then drew five threads from his five other open arms, whirling them around the pair in a twister formation, bent on encapsulating Raiku. Then, on top of that, Kidomaru puffed up his cheeks and shot out four kunai made of his hardened spider silk

Hyōryugetsu

"Oh go to hell..."

Cursing under her breath, Hyō watched, in slight irritation as Kai aggressed the entire party of Ninja and then started getting intimate with one of them. Her eyes shifted over to the remaining five Shinobi and immediately decided— “Nope.” It just wasn’t happening. Hyōryugetsu was many things, but a masochist was not one of them.

"Well, if you and your friends turn around and walk away we can pretend this never happened. As of now this is merely self-defense."

Kakashi replied to Kou, as he neither questioned why this kid was here nor cared as he gave his condition. The odds of him actually stopping the fight seemed doubtful but he made his ultimatium all the same. In the event Kou considered it or the Oto-nin did.

The one-eyed Jonin zeroed in on the pair with his lone eye as he had already moved to the tree next to them as he had began to make some hand signs in quick succession.

Though this appeared to be a mere slight of hand, as within the next moment a flash bomb was revealed and a blinding light shinned before the brothers that served to obscure the Jonin.

A moment later, a metal wire would shoot through the light as it aimed to wrap around Sakon's neck, with the apparent attempt having been to try grasp Sakon by the neck and pull him towards his own brother for a mid-air collusion while the wire if it locked in would try to choke him out in one motion.

-----
"Senbonzakura Style: Flora Shiruken Storm!!"
As Sakura's own flame genjutsu clone dispelled, the real kunoichi made her voice heard as from the tree hundreds & hundreds of razor sharpened pink flower petals shoot out at high speeds towards Kidomaru; though her intent was not merely to cut up the spider-nin, as she aimed her projectiles towards the net targeted for Raiku with the aim to cut it to pieces with this relentless barrage as well as any other web projectile Kidomaru have to either slice it or divert is course. All the while she remained hidden within the trees.

----------
Tayuya and Takato watched as the Hyuga used a combination rotation to combat the ice wyvern, though it appeared Kai had gone from making one dumb impulsive move to the next as he suddenly moved to Kiro and gave the Uchiha a warm embrace with only caused Tayuya to look on with a dumbfounded scowl.

This fucking guy...

Raiku looked at Kidomaru with a slight smirk on his face hidden beneath his bandanna as the shuriken broke the web and deflected the incoming attacks. He began doing hand seals and said, "Fire Style: Flame Barrier Jutsu!" as a wall of fire began surrounding the area around Kidomaru so he would either jump out and get burned or hit by the flora shuriken. He also had his Sharingan out in case of anyone trying to intercept Sakura's attack from the side or attack him.

“I thought so too...” Kiro responded while still being a bit in shock due to the hug. The last time Kiro had seen Kai was right before he assaulted the Uchiha Clan Head. Afterwards, he had been coldly banished from the Mist by none other than Kai’s very own father. That moment was something that would be forever drilled into the Uchiha’s memory.

Kiro was relieved when Kai freed him from the hug as he had been uncertain on how to physically react to the Yuki’s emotional greeting. It had been awhile since he had received a physical form of affection. In the span of five minutes, Kiro had already received the feeling of warmth twice. Each of them from someone he thought to be cold in one way or another.

‘Greeners? He must mean the Leaf.’ As for Kai’s question, Kiro chose a response that wouldn’t add fire to the Yuki’s already apprehensive stance against the Leaf. “Well it actually wasn’t that bad. I was placed in the Hyūga clan’s custody and given a lot of freedom to do what I want. The only time I was really imprisoned was like last week after I got into a fight.” He spared a brief glance at Sagisō, remembering their duel and the consequences.

“But that was mostly my fault. Anyways, what about you? How’s the Mist doing?” That last question was related moreso to the dark clouds hanging over in the direction of the Mist. He wondered if Kai knew anything about it. Perhaps Kiro wasn’t the only one had the same suspicion. Either way, Kiro was still interested in the place he still called home.

Sakon readied a battle stance, as well as ukon to prepare for kakashi’s justu...that’s when a flash bomb came from seemingly nowhere.

It was a distraction!
Ukon thought. Just what is he-

Cut off from his thoughts with the feeling of metal wire, the two brothers were wrapped up in it, thrown in and meshing with each other once more. The wire wrapped around the pair, constricting around their arms and neck. Sakon growled, his teeth grinding together.

“You...think....it’s going to be....THAT EASY?!”

A flow of purple chakra game from Sakon as is curse mark flooded through his skin, going to not phase one, but right to phase two! His neck tensed up, the wire snapping like ribbons. Sakon and ukon looked at each other, separating from their body, and nodded. Sakon punched a nearby top of a tree, cleaving it in one blow. He then swiped at it, sending it juggling in the air. Ukon then struck it toward Kakashi with a strong slam from his hand. The palm strike seemed to leave a red seal on the tree’s bark as it was hurled toward Kakashi.

Kou yelped, ducking down, falling from the tree to several branches nearby, tumbling down. Then...the tree made it to it’s destination....

*BOOM!*

The seal detonated the tree trunk, which did it’s job obstructing the seal from view. Sakon grinned in his new demon form, Kou down below covering his ears and closing his eyes. He didn’t like this, not one bit.

Kidomaru showed no fear, a small aura of purple surrounding him as he shifted into his stage one curse mark. His chakra pores rapidly roduced his armor faster than he was normally capable of, losing the distance toward him and Raiku, the webs which we’d now on fire coming toward the both of them.

Kidomaru, encased all in the armored silk aimed to hug Raiku. Using all his six arms to constrict the Uchiha. The flaming webs would hurt Raiku, but certainly not the armor clad spider.

“Decapatatinga airwaves!”

A burst stream of air swooped and intercepted sakura’s flower blossoms, sweeping them into the sky like a bouquet. Zaku looked up at her, winking.

“Forget about me, tuts?”

He remembered her from the leaf, very hesitant to help him and Kou out, though did help him take care of dosu, which was off the books. He hadn’t seen pinky in some time come to think of it.

......

Kai digested Kiro’s Words, his eyes looking across Kiro’s face for any sign of duress or threat. But there was little to none. He could tell that that Kiro was at least mostly telling the truth...which was even more unsettling than the alternative.

“Then flee! What are you doing in their Custody?!”

Soon after he spoke, Kiro asked about the state of affairs in the mist. Kai, having not noticed the black cloud to much of a capacity, raised a brow.

“It’s...good. A bit tense since your banishment, but home. You should come back. We can reason with my father, im sure after you have the bravery to come back with me, he will see that!”

Raiku watched the webbings with his Sharingan and predicted where they would land so he moved his body to avoid them and looked back towards Kidomaru who was charming at him to try and attempt and grabbing him with a bear hug. Raiku jumped into the air and avoided the webbings that had yet to land and gathered the flames from the barrier to his sword before proceeding to try and dig his sword into the sound ninja with flames that could easily go through his armor.

Taiyo
The genjutsu clone dispelled and the real deal soon took center stage. Taiyo cracked his knuckles before taking a moment to think to himself.

That technique genjutsu me used was cool, Ill maybe try and use it later.

We can do that later, right now we still have some Sound problems.

"Alright, for real this time," Taiyo began to do a minor sweep of the surroundings, on one branch, those two conjoined brothers seemed to transform into...something to attack Kakashi, whereas another branch consisted of Raiku and the spider going toe to toe, and finally, Sakura and Zaku seemed to be reconnecting on the battlefield.

Mr. Kakashi can take care of himself, Raiku seems to be holding off well, so I should try to help Sakura.

The FBS master's wrist opened up a concealed compartment that contained shurikens. Taiyo took aim towards Zaku, and then began a mini barrage of shuriken to hopefully buy the pink-haired kunoichi some time to plan.

Zaku raises a brow as soon as Taiyo has entered the fray. Taking his focus off Sakura for now, he payed attention to the cripple.

“Didn’t know it was special needs day.” Zaku mused.

That’s when Taiyo unleashed a bombardment of shuriken his way. Zaku simply laughed. They never learn

“What a lovely gift.” Zaku grinned. “So good in fact, i’ll Give it right back! Decapatating airwaves!”

Releasing another jet stream of air, the shuriken were halted in the air, before being thrust back towards Taiyo with a much faster velocity.

As Pakura led her team forward, coyote at her side. It came to a stop as it sniffed the air while Pakura signaled her team to follow suit with one gesture. After a minute of quiet deliberation, as the coyote's head seemed to point to two different areas, Pakura turned towards her team.

"Seems we have two scents on that Konoha acquaintance I've had previous contact with. One off on her own, the other by other adjacent scents. Her team if I had to assume." Pakura said, before she bit her thumb as she quickly summoned a second coyote as she turned to Koki'o and Amari.

"Follow this coyote, it will lead you to the scent of our Hyuga friend by the group. Given her team seems to consist of the Hyuga Genin from Nadeshiko, I figure your village kinship would make this discussion much smoother. And when you see her..." Pakura said, before she reached into her pocket and pulled out what appeared to be a necklace with a wooden piece at the center along with the symbol of Sunagakure on it as she tossed it Amari's way. "...tell her I said hi."

Pakura then turned to Madoka & Yasu. "You two will follow me. Remain close and follow my instructions to the letter. Understand? Good, let's move out then." Pakura said as she would take one coyote to lead Yasu & Madoka while she had left the other for the Nadeshiko shinobi's use to track Hina and by extension her Genin Team.

Upon hearing Kai mention his father, Kiro resisted the urge to curse the man out loud. Kai would be wrong if he expected Kiro to beg his father for forgiveness. The Uchiha could care less about the thoughts of a man he had resolved to kill if given the chance. No. It was wrong to be thinking about killing Kai’s father when he was standing right in front of him. Somehow, Kiro managed to retain his calm expression and simply shook his head.

“No. Returning to the Mist is out of the question. Atleast for right now.” As he said this, Kiro had reached into one of his pockets to pull something out. When he opened his palm to show Kai, there was the tag Hinagiku had given him. “I have been considering my options for awhile now. One of the main reasons escape might be impossible is due to this tag. I haven’t been able to determine it’s true function and it is too risky to try anything at this point in time. The other reason being the Hyūga Clan Head, who I presume is dealing with your squad leader right now. Speaking of which, do you plan to continue fighting here?”

Though Kiro himself wouldn’t participate in a fight against the Mist, he still doubted their chances of victory against Sagisō and the others. In fact, preventing a fight would probably be the best option for both parties involved. Kiro hadn’t even told Kai about the jinchuriki yet. Having taken notice of key details, Kiro was certain now that the jinchuriki was no longer the main priority. That idea opened up a whole new set of possibilities and made him briefly question if he was the only one there who had come to this conclusion.

Kai noticed a tinge if an unknown emotion of Kiro’s face. Just for a moment. Like a spark. Kai’s eyes traveled to kiro’s Palms, examining the seal itself that was placed on the center.

“This seal is...complex.” Kai muttered. “I wouldn’t know where to begin. But i’m Sure Hama would be capable of understanding this.”

Further listening to Kiro’s explanation, Kai was snapped back into reality. That’s right, the mission! Kai looked about to make sure the coast was clear...before noticing a familiar tuff of red hair. HER. Kai readied senbon, glaring at tayuya.

“Sound ninja, Incoming!”

.......

Kidomaru’s webs, missing their target, instead focused on aerial denial, weaving in the air to restrict raiku’s options of movements, specifically to his sides. Meanwhile Kidomaru, still armored, puffed up his cheeks while Raiku was closing the distance. Suddenly, a long golden pike emerged from his mouth, darting right at raiku’s stomach to impale the Uchiha. With the webs restricting movement, Raiku would have little no no where to run

SageNeb

Previously 5DigitNeb
Raiku noticed the pike coming and turned his sword’s direction. The sword cut into the pike and Raiku used that to catch himself. He then used the pike as a conductor to release all the fire chakra to surround Kidomaru instead of stabbing him from one point. Then the Uchiha kicked himself from the pike before the webs that were encircling him could catch him. He followed it up by releasing more chakra slices to attack his opponent. Even if they didn’t cut through the armor they would at least produce knockback to possibly push Kidomaru off the branch.

As the... rather intimate exchange happened between Kai and Kiro, Shura stood around with his hands in his pocket looking at the strange event with a deadpan expression. “And I thought that weird old hag riding that carriage pulled by a bunch of warthogs would be the strangest thing I’d see today.” He thought to himself. When Kai suddenly shifted into combat position by grabbing senbons, Shura put his hand on his newly reclaimed chain which had been put back on its holder on the Hyūga’s waist. His expression frowned slightly as he prepared to engage.

Sagisō

Rolling her eyes, Sagisō allowed her emotions to color her face annoyed. The Mist were after Henshina, that much could be inferred from their meeting earlier. They were opposition; that was a fact. Only Kai and Hyōryugetsu had arrived thus far, while Tsuki and Seiun lagged behind. ‘If we crush these two here—‘

Her stance lowered, allowed her to draw more power from her waist. ‘Better yet…the other two are definitely weaker. I can send Shura, Tayuya, and Furījia to take care of them while we keep these two busy. It shouldn’t take long for them to finish them and then circle around for these two…’

Her eyes shifted from Kai to the direction they were coming from, the direction Seiun and Tsuki had been left in. ‘Even better, as long as we capture the Yuki girl…we can force them into submission.’

The gears of her mind turned, judging between approaches and deciding which would yield the best results. As for cooperation with the Mist? The thought hadn’t even crossed her mind.

Koki'o

"Haii~"

The last bit of playfulness draining from her voice, Koki'o set off after the Coyote, gesturing for Amari to follow.

"Relax dumbass, I am not an enemy." Tayuya called out, as she had already seen Kai focus in on her and while the desire to kick his teeth in had been incredibly strong she felt it had been best to diffuse the situation.

If for nothing else but to save her the effort needed to kick his ass. A waste of energy.

------------
As the flower petals had been blown back by Zaku's airwaves, from her hidden vantage point Sakura had been quick and prepared for such a counter as she made a few hand signs as the petals had been blown back.

Soon, those petals began to release this light pollen as they drifted down and drifted quickly towards Zaku; nearly unseen as they mixed with the wind as Sakura subtly muttered the words of her follow up technique.

"Senbonzakura Style: Paralysis Pollen."

The pollen in question would look to drift and land on Zaku from all directions as the aim was quite clear; to try and use it to immobilize him long enough to allow Taiyo to gain a favorable advantage to perhaps deal a critical strike before he had the chance to blow it harmlessly out of the way.

Eyes still focused on Kai, something else had caught Shura’s interests. Seeing with the corner of his eye, Shura saw the change in Sagisō’s expression. He noticed her eyes shifting around at the area in front of her. “It definitely seems like she’s planning something.” He thought to himself. He then shrugged slightly and returned his focus back at Kai. “Eh, why should I care.” He thought.

“Yeah Kai, hold up. She’s with us.” Kiro called out to the Yuki once he showed signs of aggression towards Tayuya. As much as he would’ve enjoyed seeing Tayuya get what she deserved, this was no time for petty squabbles. Considering how things were shaping up, engaging in a fight with the Mist even with victory assured would be detrimental. Rather than focus on what was right in front of him, Kiro looked at the big picture.

“Hear me out on this Kai. There’s no need for either side here to fight. As it stands now, you guys are outnumbered and outgunned. The jinchuriki has even aligned herself with my squad. Meaning you will most likely be leading yourselves to death if you continued.” Kiro was certain that none of his squad members would show mercy to the Kiri-Nin. That wasn’t even considering possibility of another team deciding to play vulture and clean them all up. “Any blood spilled now would be for nothing. But if you agree with me, I can try and work something out for you guys.”

If Kiro’s prediction came to fruition, chaos would ensue one way or another. There were bound to be vultures waiting in the midst. Waiting to swoop in and finish them all off once they were weakened. Once that happened, safety could no longer be guaranteed. Of course, Kiro never really considered himself to be the peacemaker type. In fact, Kai would be justified if he didn’t want to listen to him. But whether the Yuki understood it or not, Kiro was genuinely trying to look out for him.

Kai hissed at tayuya, slowly hearing what Kiro has to say about the situation. The foul beastie, why would she be hear and NOT hostile? Wait. Is it because it is a penal legion? Prisoners as disposable warriors? Logical sense for tayuya...but Kiro...

“Kiro. This is not good.” Kai warned. “They put an enemy like HER here. They don’t care if she lives or dies. And you think that they will give you the same type of treatment and come to a top secret mission and let you just walk away? No. They will dispose of you, just as how they tried to dispose of me and fail.”

After hearing the word ‘jinchurki’ and ‘with them’, Kai had become concerned. Could it be? That they actually nabbed the jinchurki this whole time?? At the sounds of kiro’s Negotiating, Kai began to sigh.

“Once one lives within a den of vipers, they come out hissing like them. Take head of that Kiro.” Kai spoke. “That jinchurki is our mission. And weather or not you accept your servitude amongst your obvious inferiors is another matter for another time. Just WHAT are you trying to say here?”

......

Kidomaru, sewing the sudden crawling flames along his hardened web, began to alter course. He bright out two sickle shaped hardened web hooks, hooking them on either side of the silk pillar. *SNAP!* the hooks tugged and snapped the pillar, the flames diving off to the left and the right of Kidomaru.

The webs floated to the ground, Kidomaru hurling the sickles toward Raiku. One of the chakra slices chopped them up, as the second one hit Kidomaru, his armor cracking heavily. The armor chipped, knocking the spider ninja back.

“Ngh!” He cringed, before standing back up to attention. “Hehehe....interesting...how fun a game can be with two competent opponents...!”

Four of Kidomaru’s arms woven together an intricate shape. Seemingly a large hooked shuriken four feet wide and long made of his special silk. Hmmmm! This opponent seems to be very much eye oriented eh? Different than the hyuga I faced before. His eyes seemed to PREDICT ever movement along the way. But let’s see if there is a limit to that...!

The thick shuriken was then tossed toward Raiku like a saw blade, Kidomaru grinning wildly like he had just come up with the perfect plan.

......

“What’s wrong pinky? Cripple got your tounge-“

Zaku suddenly tensed up. His arms wouldn’t respond to his commands. What the? Why won’t they move? Zaku struggled futile to move, only to get slight budges. Just what did that chick do to me? Gotta figure out quick before knock on wood over there can recover....

“Phew, who would have thought that getting out into the field would be this...how would I say...boring?” Hama titled her head quizzically and hina was hurled into the debris field. “Oh well! Gotta make do with what you got!~”

Just like that, Hama’s amber barriers floated to her sides again, acting more as plates than fan blades. Hama made a single handsigns, and out of one of the plates, Hama appeared to come out, floating down on a hammock made of ice. She whimsically smiled at hina.

“So, want to tell me what I want to know yet?”

Raiku looked at the oncoming shuriken and put his sword in front of him which he had taken as he jumped away. He did the same technique he did to go through the pike and extended his blade toward the giant shuriken. As the two weapons collided the projectile stopped and a line began melting through the shuriken from the fire chakra going through it. Raiku took it out of his sword and threw it away onto the ground below.

"C'mon, if you wanna beat me let's go head-to-head," the Uchiha said before spinning his sword around him to create flashy flames which surrounded him from the fire chakra that he had coated his blade with to melt through the shuriken.

Taiyo
The Leaf-nin stood with a deadpan expression as he saw the shurikens that he had fired returning to their sender.

"Last time I checked, I didn't store boomerangs in here," Taiyo remarked to himself, dodging most of the shuriken. When he recovered, he saw his 'favorite' blowhard completely paralyzed, or in other terms, wide open for a clean hit.

Irony, you gotta love it.

With a smirk on his face and a confident bravado at his side, the FBS master climbed up a tree to be at the same vantage point as his ally and target. Once he reached that point, Taiyo weaved some hand symbols together to create a fireball in his right hand. But instead of firing it immediately like he usually would, he clenched it and used his free hand to help him launch off of the tree towards Zaku with the intent of getting a point-blank shot at the Oto-nin. As Taiyo prepared to plunge the projectile into Zaku's chest, he delivered a quick one-liner.

"How's it feel being the cripple?"

Once hearing Kai’s comment on the den of vipers, the Uchiha shook his head and let out a sigh. “That couldn’t be further from the truth. I’ll be honest with you, that previous explanation didn’t do my situation justice. I haven’t been able to step an inch outside my ‘prison’ until now. For three months, I’ve had to live without any privacy. They even forced me to shower with the same impure water as those Xenos. Can’t even eat without permission either. This was my only chance to get a breath of fresh air so I took it.”

The Uchiha did agree with Kai’s sentiment on Tayuya and him being disposable to the Leaf. After all, he had considered that possibility from the very start of the mission. However, Kiro actually had his doubts that was the case. It was primarily due to Hinagiku’s actions up to this point. Then again, even though Kiro believed he had figured out the Hyūga Head’s thought process, she could still just be playing with him. Either way, both Kai and him were in a precarious position.

“Anyways, what I’m trying to tell you Kai is that I don’t want you to risk your life for an unnecessary battle.” At this point, it wasn’t even worth fighting for the jinchuriki anymore. The potential of another team wiping them out once they were weakened enough was too high considering the amount of teams nearby. He wondered if someone else had come to a similar conclusion as him. Gazing down at the others below, Kiro gave Sagisō a look with the hope she could understand the futility in battling the Mist at this point in the game. At the very least, spare them from a cruel fate.

As Kiro discussed with Kai, Shura had been tensing himself for the possibility that Kai might lash out at them at any moment. As the duo were higher up in the trees and speaking at a low voice, Shura couldn’t hear what they were saying clearly. Despite this, Shura tensed his grip on his chain just in case Kai would suddenly attack. He kept his eyes fixated on Kai for the slightest movement that could start his attack. “I would prefer not to get into another pointless skirmish, but oh well. I won’t hesitate if it comes down to it.” He thought. Shura saw the glance Kiro gave towards Sagiso but didn’t think much in it.

Tsuki/Seiun
After several minutes of Seiun being forcefully dragged to his allies by Tsuki, the two finally regrouped with their allies. The pair was greeting to Kai being in the middle of a conversation with...a potential enemy? This was a curious sight that Tsuki saw as a crime to ignore, so her inquisitive mind thought to consult her mistress promptly after she let go of her servant's wrist. The whip-wielder looked for Hama, but she was nowhere to be found; leaving Tsuki with nothing but her own thoughts on the situation.

Where is Hama-sensei? I hope she's alright...and who is that mysterious person Kai's speaking with? It certainly can't be an enemy, or else they would've attacked by now, and based off of Kai's past behavior, there's no way that this person is a foreigner. Perhaps a prisoner of war, and in that case, Kai might be trying to free this 'Kiri-nin' from his 'prison'. Very strange indeed...

Meanwhile, Seiun clutched his wrist and found the source of his difficulty in freeing himself; there were nail-marks around his wrist.

Stupid bitch...she's lucky I haven't snapped her neck sooner. But even if I could, she hasn't given me much of a reason to...

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
Kidomaru snickered mischievously. The kid took the bait. Let’s see how those eyes handle the little surprise in the big shuriken?

Suddenly, while the large shuriken was discarded from being lodged in the sword, something emerged from within it. Spikey balls from the inside emerged like spiders cracking from an egg. The second the shuriken left contact with the sword, so it couldn’t be used to parry the attack. And with the close range, evasion of all the small attacks was going to be near impossible. Every eye has a weakness!

.....

“Well...crap.”

Zaku had little to no options in this scenario. He was immobiled with a firey looking brawler Taiyo in front of him. He wouldn’t be able to produce an airwaves to stop him in this position...however...maybe a soundwave could throw off Taiyo just enough not to score a critical strike? Considering the alternative, zaku’s Implants began to shriek a terrible high pitched sound.

*Briiiiiiiiiing!*

As Taiyo has his hands full with his hand seals, he wouldn’t be capable of covering his ears. To a normal person, this attack would scramble the mind’s thought process, throwing off balance and eventual bleeding from the ears.

.............

“That sounds like utter hell on earth.”

Those greeners are that cruel? Wouldn’t be surprised of the level of savagery from those vermin. If that’s the case, why doesn’t he scrape off the skin of his hand to escape? So many questions....

“Kiro. If your desire your freedom that badly, I want you to burn the surface it’s on. That will most likely remove a seal if the surface it is covering is warped so badly. That’ll give you a chance to escape. As for fighting...” Kai looked over to seiun and Tsuki who had just joined up. “It looks like your team would be very much crippled if they were to fight ours, if not defeated since you hold never fight us...”

.....

“Okay, let’s fight for real then.”

Hama, still appearingly on an ice hammock, floated over to hina, not weaving any justu of any kind. Instead, she raised a finger, lowering it to her opponet’s Nose.

“Boop.”
