The hostage tripped over upon something unseen on the floor, and landing in his body, especially since he was in a bag he couldn’t see out of. But when he landed on the ground, he still seemed to be moving across the floor somehow?he moved westward, being carried by something unknown on the floor

...........

“...At least some kids can pay attention to details.”

With a cloud of smoke, a white haired man emerged, wearing red all over him and with two red lines coming down his face. He seemed older, with a very odd fashion sense.

“You 5 did spectacularly, paying attention is the most basic skill, but effective skill a shinobi can learn.” Jirayia said. “Yeah yeah I know, I said 5. I can’t be five places at once okay? More people than Ibiki can make clones ya know haha. You lot pass in my book! ...which you can buy by the way. If you pay a little extra I can sign it too.”

Each of the five had their own separate reactions towards the arrival of the Toad Sage Jiraiya.

For Azumi, she merely replied with a nod. While the name Jiraiya had not been illusive to the Rain-nin, the relationship that she had towards Jiraiya was...mixed to say the least. Though the reasons she kept to herself and kept a neutral expression throughout.

For Tomiko, she pumped her fist in the air and clearly had been excited about advancing past the first stage. She even giggled at the cheap product placement made by Jiraiya. She heard rumors of the talents this legendary Shinobi had, and the fact he seemed like a fun guy added to the appeal.

For Kenji, naturally he had been thrilled to pass the exam but more importantly when he heard of Jiraiya's pitch he had a rather excited if not perverted grin which was complimented with a blush. "H-how much are we talking..." Kenji asked, as he actually had been a fan of the hit but perverted series Jiraiya had been famous for as he pulled out a wallet in response.

For Sakura, she was relieved that she passed and let out a sigh that seemed to release her worry. However, Jiraiya's pitch to that perverted series Kakashi-sensei admired caused her to scowl as she thought of only one thing. God, he's such a pervert!

Madoka gave a nod as she heard that she passed, seeing that it was such a famed ninja who was part of these exams had been a surprise to Madoka. The fact he tried to sell his book to her had not been one however, though Madoka kept a neutral expression as she figured it was a waste of energy to focus on anything beyond preparation for the next exam.

@Bluetail

Then have your OC respond to this, and finish this part of the exam if possible:

Once everyone was in from of their respected door, they flung open, each Ibiki shadow clone assigned to each room and pushed each genin in. Once inside, they were met with an alarming sight. There was a bagged man, covered in the black bag. He seemed to be struggling, deep grunts coming from inside of the bag. He was on a chair, struggling to break free of the bonds that were inside of the chair. Suddenly, the main Ibiki yelled from the outside.

“Remember, each hostage in each room is a wanted criminal, these criminals have invaluable information that the leaf village needs!”

With that, each door forcefully closed, the shadow clone Ibiki’s quickly moving in to block the doors, crossing their arms.

“This test is to prove your ingenuity about confronting a problem a plan, and overcoming it. In order to capture and subdue a hostage is essential for any chunin to know, and to do it without needing any hands-on skills are needed in many situations...”

He gestured toward the hostage that was bagged, struggling. The chair buckled a with every move of the hostage as Ibiki only snickered In response.

“Take this one for example. this one was has done some particularly horrifying things. Now for what you need to do. Bring him from Point A, to Point B. And then I’ll tell you what to do from there. The trick is though, you cannot touch him with your body parts.”

He pointed to a circle that didn’t seem like it was there before, at the end of the room on the floor. It said ‘B’ on it, just as the circle that you somehow didn’t notice you standing on said ‘A’.

“Now, adapt, find a way to bring him over there without touching him with your body parts. I’ll update you from there.”

"Hmmm....Maybe this will work?"Kilka thought up something quick, deciding that if she could use jutsus it would be ok,she did want to become a chunin and didn't want to drop out or cheat and risk being caught and failed."Water Style:Water Clone Jutsu!"She quickly made a water clone and it pushed the hostage for her."Easy, this is a test anyone could pass.Is it really good for a chunin exam."

“Good, you’ve passed the first part. The first part was about your ingenuity skill and how to solve a problem, as well as studying your surroundings before you make a move.” The ibikis said in their own way. “Listening to directions and learning what they mean. Listening is important...so now I want you to listen...”

At this point ibiki made his way behind the genin, his cold breath on their shoulder as he offered an tense, but curiously unscarred Hand on their shoulder

“....”

“...Kill the Hostage.”

"Ok,i'm sorry hostage."She grabbed a kunai and for a minute was about to kill the hostage, then she stopped."Wait a minute, why would i?They haven't done anything to me,and i haven't heard of anything happening. And i'm just a genin, also this test is way too easy for me."She smirked.

Ibiki’s hand grasped her shoulder tighter, almost inflicting pain. His coarse breath was apparent as he spoke densely once more.

“Obey what your proctor said. Do what must be done, that is...if you want to pass.”

She gave a scary glance at him.And she slowly dropped the kunai in front of him."Is that any way to get someone to do what you want?Threatening to not pass them just makes them more likely to not obey,at least with me."

“.....”

“That’s not the best way to get around life is it?”

With a small handsign, Ibiki’s shadow clone puffed into a cloud of smoke, revealing a figure wearing a black vest and loose pants, with a leaf headband. He has eyes that boasted the sharingan and two creased down his cheeks.

“Shinobi should never deal in absolutes, in many exams in the past, similar test like these were real, so don’t get comfy.” Itachi spoke. “If it were my choice, then you did not understand the point of the exam and would fail. Thankfully for you I’m not your proctor. Under the guidelines, you pass. Now leave.”

The hostage got up, seeming unrestrained inside their bag. They took off the bag to reveal a familiar face...Ibiki! Or his real shadow clones that is.

"Ok.That's a relief,i was getting kinda bored."She left the room quickly."I wish there was something i could do while i wait."

“I see your at a loss of words!” Jirayia addressed Azumi, putting away the book she didn’t seem intrest in. “Can’t blame you, I have that affect on the ladies! Hehe~ you can go on it now if you like, or stay here.”

...........

“Oh! I almost forgot my manners.” Jirayia said taking a pose toward Tomiko. “One of the legendary Sannin and the white haired tamer of toad kind, I am The Toad Sage Jirayia!”

Jirayia kept his pose frozen, waiting for some kind of awe smitten response or round of applause

......

“Oh a fan eh? Perfect! Oh you know...only a little few really...just 4,000 Ryo.” The Sannin spoke to Kenji. “Pay triple that and I can give you a signed copy of the second installment yet to be released!”

With that, he held out a new book out of his pocket that practically sparkled upon being brought out.

.........

“By your deadpanned expression I suppose your too overwhelemd to think clearly.” Jirayia humored to Sakura. “Take a breath of fresh air out that door if you would little miss.”

........

...Not much of a book enthusiast are you?” Jirayia blinked to the unresponsive girl. “Oh well, guess it can’t be helped. The door is right there.”

Jirayia snapped his fingers, the door opening by itself to the sound of the snap.

The Kohana-nin was unsure of his next action, "Kill the hostage," the words echoed in his mind, he hated taking lives, but what other choice did he have?
"What if I didn't? This man doesn't seem like he did anything wrong, so am I allowed to kill him, or is this a test to see if I have good morals, just allow me to and I'll do it," He was unsure of his next action, on one hand, he needed to do this in order to pass and become a Chunin, on the other hand, it contradicted his moral code.

Azumi made no reply, other than a nod as she made her way forward to the door with only one thought on her mind.

Is....is this really the guy who taught our God?

-----------
Tomiko giggled in response to Jiraiya's pose, as she found it rather amusing and kinda cool even if it had been a bit over the top. Though Tomiko felt inspire as she also struck a dynamic pose; flexing a bit as she balanced herself on one leg as it seemed Jiraiya's energy had been infectious.

"Tomiko Usagi. I....don't have a fancy title now, but someday I will when I become the Tsuchikage!" Tomiko replied with an energetic, but determined tone as if she was not simply giving a boast but actually believed she could become that.

----------
"DEAL!!!" Kenji cried out, as he had not even a moment of hesitation when Jiraiya made that offer as he had practically began to drool at the sight of the book that seemed to sparkle as Kenji handed the amount needed to the Toad Sage which happened to be all the money he had. What would Kenji's reaction have been to discovering he had ponied up all the cash he had for one book?

THIS IS SO WORTH IT!

----------
"Yeah, naturally..." Sakura sighed, she normally have provided some additional quip or criticism towards such an attitude but Jiraiya was a legendary Shinobi and she had been grateful just to pass so she would not press the issue as she made her way towards the exit.

-----------
Madoka merely gave a respectful bow towards the Sanin as he revealed the door before her.

"Thank you, Ero-sensei." Madoka replied with a neutral tone and expression before she made her way towards the exit Jiraiya had generated.

“I don’t think so, you aren’t going to pass until you say it’s outside the standard to do it, and that I’m not the proctor.”

Then silence bit the air.

“....did I say that out loud...?”

Then with a handsign, Ibiki seemed to vanish, and was replaced with a familiar looking man with long spiky white hair and a red vest.

“I must have been SO careless.” Jirayia said. “It’s not like I have a rich hot date waiting for me...or...anything. Just keep this on the hush hush and you pass alright?”

-----------
“alrighty that’s some energy you got kid!” Jirayia exclaimed at Tomiko. “Say that’s an excellent pose you got, wonder who you learned that from? He must be a lady killer.”

Jirayia grinned as he went back to his normal posture, putting a hand on his hips and snapped his fingers, the door unlocking behind them and swinging open. He then gestured toward it.

“After you, future lady Tsuchikage.“

----------
Thank you for your patronage!” Jirayia spoke, handing over the book to him. “Just remember to hide it from your sensei, don’t want him to take it eh?”

He snapped his fingers, the door unlocking and creaking open.

“I’m making an author’s notes addition of it in a few months!” Jirayia cupped his hands and whispered. “Keep that on the down low though, and you get to the front of the line, says so in the back of the book!”

“Looks as though everyone is done.” Ibiki spoke to the crowd of genin. “Everyone, I hope
You have learned the lesson i’ve Tried to teach with this exam. While precision and ingenuity is great for any reasonable shinobi to learn, making sure you utilizing those abilities under the correct leadership is even better. If everyone fell for any ninja disguised as their superior, the leaf village would no longer be standing. And detecting a false officer is needed for anyone to even think of passing.”

Ibiki crossed his arms behind himself, pacing across the floor.

“Not all of you passed, but those of you still here have just passed the first exam, and have learned key skills to become a squad leader. Now, onward to the second exam, and if I’m right...they should be here right....”

Everyone glanced toward the window, awaiting for the proctor to the next exam appear. A few moments passed before people crickets were heard. Then, someone walked through the door, on the opposite side of the room. He was a grey haired man with a jounin’s get up.

“Yo.” Kakashi simply stated. “Ready for the second exam?”

Kiro opened his eyes to look at the next proctor who showed. He hadn’t really been listening to the lecture and only regained interest when Ibiki spoke of the second exam. Kiro looked up when everyone turned to the door to see their next proctor. After a few, unecessary, seconds of waiting, their proctor lazily walked in. Kiro smirked when he noticed who it was. “Kakashi Hatake... how lame.” Kiro murmured to himself as he looked at the widely acclaimed Copycat Ninja from the opposite end of the room.

Tomiko laughed at the mention of her sensei being a "lady killer" which she was sure he'd appreciate hearing from a ninja of Jiraiya's fame and calibur. Much as she appreciated Jiraiya's reference towards what she desired for her future occupation as he revealed the door before her.

"Why thank you, I do hope our paths cross again. It's been an honor Toad Sage Sensei." Tomiko replied before she exited the door.

------------
Kenji clutched the book to his chest, almost like it had been his own child as he listened to Jiraiya's instructions and gave an eager nod. The fact he had an exclusive front line pass with this book to an author's note edition though he understood the need to keep that a secret as well as his book from his sensei as he nodded in agreement.

"Y-yeah, I understand. Thank you Jiraiya Sensei!" Kenji replied as he gave Jiraiya a respectful bow before he dashed through the door as he hid in new purchase within a handbag.

----------
Tomiko and Kenji joined up with Sakura, Azumi and Madoka along with everyone else that managed to pass the first exam before they were given an introduction to the proctor of the second exam which had been a suprise for Sakura as she saw her own sensei walk inside.

"K-kakshi sensei? You are a proctor for the exams?" Sakura asked, clearly surprised to see her Team's sensei also served as a proctor for the exams this year. Something Kakashi had neglected to mention to her.

"Wait someone explain to me who these people are?" Taiyo was now confused and angry, his body temperature began to rise slowly, something he does to subconsciously tell everyone around him that he is pissed off. He went to Kakashi and took a deep breath.
"Umm, who are you?"

“I’m your proctor for this exam.” Kakashi responded to Taiyo as simple as he could before turning to one of his students, Sakura. “Well, You didn’t ask, so I didn’t tell. Though you passed the first section, I wouldn’t expect anything less of you.”

Kakashi finally looked up from his book before putting a bookmark in it and closing it. He cleared his throat and addressed the freshly passed crowd of genin.

“So, you passed the first exam huh? Well done. Now for something completely different. For this next exam, i’d Suggest you follow me.”

With that, Kakashi walked over to the window which he was originally expected to enter from, calmly opened it, and slid out of it.

Taiyo opened his mouth to say something, but he resisted, he wanted to know who Kakashi was as a person, not his occupation at this current moment. Regardless, he followed copycat ninja into the room, hoping that this time, he could let his destructive nature roam free.
"Where are we now?"

"I don't really know."Kilka answered,her voice was quiet for a change."But i can't wait to figure out.Maybe it'll be harder this time!"

Kakashi let the train of students over to a fenced off forest, seeming stretching for miles. The trees stretched far larger than any other tree, like it was some other monstrous place entirely. The vines on the trees to the bark seemed scarred, twisted, and overall different than the outside. Kakashi stopped right outside the gate.

“Hm. We are here.” He said gesturing toward the gated area ahead. “This is what we call: the forest of death. This will be the staging ground for the second exam.”

With that, he held out two scrolls, one black and the other white in either hand. They had two different writing symbols on them and different colored wrappings. Kakashi made sure everyone could see them.

“These are the objectives. Everyone will start with one of these scrolls, and will have to secure the other in order to proceed. I have already made a list of which scroll everyone will receive, your scroll you will find, has already been placed inside your pocket, go ahead, have a look.”

........

Zaku rummaged in his pocket, feeling suddenly heavier. He found a scroll marked ‘Earth’ there, identical to one of the scrolls the proctor was holding. Earth scroll huh? So all I seen to do is wipe the floor with a heavy scroll ninja? Heh, doesn’t sound so hard to me.

........

Kai noticed right off the bat the weight change. He grasped his pocket and noticed a slight bit of white shine through, a heaven scroll. How could he have done that? That’s some level jutsu...could be impressive to learn. But for now, I need to have my mind set into the goal ahead

Kilka reached into her pocket and took the Heaven scroll out to get a good look at it."A heaven scroll, huh.Thats cool i guess."She wondered if she should have brought food or not.

Shortly, the fire Ninjustu specialist felt something in his pocket, to which he pulled out a small scroll that indicated that it was of the heaven scroll variety.
"So all I gotta do is secure the opposite on, right?" Taiyo muttered to himself, hoping he was right and no one else heard how he had literally no idea what was going on right now.

Shen: King of Digimon

Previously Shen: King of the Mist
“Yes that is correct.” Kakashi overheard the confused Tayio. “And the only way to do that is to take it from other shinobi, through combat or otherwise. You will have a three day time limit to reach the goal with your scrolls, once you get past that limit, you will fail, and if you cannot secure the scrolls, you also fail. I hoped you packed the essentials a ninja needs, because you aren’t making any trips back to the village until that time limit is up.”

"I brought some kunai and shuriken, but i never thought i'd need to bring food!I hope there's something edible in the forest for when i get hungry."She shouted out.She soon resorted to seeing if anyone else brought water or food, maybe she could trick them into teaming up with her and then steal the scroll they got on the last day.

Taiyo chuckled when Kilka blurted out that random piece of information, he decided to add her to his team, she might just prove to be an entertaining asset.
"Hey, who are you?" The Kohana-nin soon extended his hand to shake Kilka's. Either way, theway she just blurted out random info made him happy, he saw some of himself in Kilka and as such, decided to add her to his team.

As Azumi overheard the instructions, she understood them easily enough. A survival test on top of battle scenarios that ensured at minimum half of them would be eliminated. Azumi reached into her pocket, and indeed had felt something there which amazed her as she glanced and saw she had a Heaven Scroll. Though Azumi kept this to herself as she hid her scroll and made some mental preparations.

-----------
Madoka glanced into her own pocket, as she had been equally stunned the proctor or whoever in charge of that detail got it there without her notice, as she glanced and saw she had a Heaven Scroll.

So, I have to find an Earth Scroll then. Three days should be more than enough, but with no way of knowing what lies beyond those gates on-top of the lack of knowledge of who has what scroll could make that more time constructing than in theory.

------------
Kenji listened to the proctor's words before his eyes widened at the mention of the scrolls, as he glanced down and reached into his pocket as indeed he felt something inside there.

What the...when did...how the heck did he do that!? Okay guess I have an Earth Scroll now. Man there's too much to worry about in this exam for me to think over super stealth ninjutsu that the proctors use to sneak these in our pockets. Focus Kenji focus!

----------
Sakura listened to her sensei and now proctor explain how the Forest of Death worked for the second phase of the exam, and naturally she found the setting to be rather creepy. Sakura then took note of the newfound item in her pocket, and disregarded the how it got there question she had as she scanned it and saw it contained an Earth Scroll. Between combating...whatever dangerous elements would be in that forest to the survival aspect of it on top of combating other ninja meant this exam would push her to the limits. But she was determined to prove herself and progress to the next exam.

-----------
Tomiko, seemed rather excited about the setting as she was eager to see what danger awaited them inside the forest, though had been surprised to see that indeed there was a scroll in her pocket. Once Tomiko inspected it, she saw she had an Earth Scroll which caused her to grin as she placed her metalic gauntlets on before she slammed them against each other.

This is gonna be fun...

Kilka scanned the crowd making note of the appearances of the genin who had earth scrolls. This would be useful information because it meant she could find earth scrolls more easily. She took one last glance and then took her eyes off the crowed.

The first exam was a bit...unconventional, so with the advent of the second exam Sagisō felt things were a lot closer to what she'd initially expected. After Kakashi had finished speaking, Sagisō reached into her pocket and pulled out a Heaven Scroll. Immediately after, she scanned the crowd with her Byakugan and picked out the other Genin who had Heaven scrolls. Logically speaking, a genin with a Heaven scroll wouldn't be interested in fighting her for another Heaven scroll and that meant she wouldn't have to worry about them eyeing her scroll, they would instead be looking for Earth scrolls- just like she was. Since they'd have a common goal and no reason to fight each other... they'd clearly make the best team mates.

Her eyes locked onto another Kunoichi, making mental preparation...or at least the look of contemplation on her face would suggests that. She looked to be the calm, level headed type and Sagisō respected that, hence why the girl caught her eye as her first potential team mate. If she'd remembered correctly, the genin in question was called Azumi. She strutted over to the other Kunoichi and displayed her scroll, and while making a gesture towards the other party's scroll she spoke, "Birds of a feather, flock together, right? I'm Sagisō, and it seems we share a common interest... interested in forming a team for this section of the exam?"

Taiyo smiled at Kilka before he scouted out anyone who had an earth scroll before realizing something.
'Hey Kilka, wanna make a team, this seems like the activity for it," He was taking a risk, they just met and neither of them knew anything about the other, so it was likely that the female genin could say no to this and even make fun of him for doing so.

Taiyo sighed a sigh of relief, he knew that he wasn't the sharpest knife in the dishwasher, so some extra help would be exactly what he needed.
"So, what's the plan?" He whispered to Kilka, making sure that no one elae heard this question, and if theey did, hopinv that they wanted in on the two's partnership.

"Right now,we should scout out who has a Earth scroll,it would make it so we have it easy when finding someone who has one."She whispered."I don't have much of a plan, but i also believe that when we get into the forest, one of us should scout out and make sure no one followed us.If there is we can work out a battle plan before they see us."

“Not likely.” A voice said.

Then, a tuff of black hair appeared nearby their conversation. It was none other than Zaku Abumi. He had his eyes closed and a smirk on his face as he propped himself next to a tree.

“With the amount of ocular jutsu in this exam, I’m not sure if many people are safe. Especially when there are hunter nin and Uchihas here as well.”

He looked to them, blinked in the silence a few times before he snickered pointing to his ear.

“What? Sound ninja, listening is in the job description.”

‘Heaven Scroll it is.’ Kiro looked into his pocket see the scroll that was there. He was impressed by whoever placed the scrolls in the pockets. ‘It must’ve been Kakashi.’ Kiro figured as he looked at the Jonin. Kiro then started to look around, trying to see what scrolls the other genin had as well potential targets. He took notice that some genin were trying to team with others. It seemed like a good idea but then the chance of betrayal would be higher, especially if they both needed the same scroll. Kiro did notice a certain grass ninja who had been glaring at him for the past few seconds. He also noticed that this grass ninja was blatantly holding out their earth scroll. ‘What a fool.’ Kiro knew who his first target was going to be... or atleast he thought so.

........

“What scroll do you have?”

Kai was near behind Kiro, whom he was keeping an eye on since before the first exam. Kai made himself apparent to his fellow mist ninja, crossing his arms.

“I trust you more than any of these outsiders, since you are the only other from the mist. As a token of trust, I will tell you mine first. I have a heaven scroll.”

It was a gamble to what Kiro would have, but he wouldn’t regret telling him, because if he fell at the hands of a mist ninja, then at least it would save him the disgrace of falling to an outsider

Azumi sensed that someone aimed to approach her, and easily enough suppressed the impulse to reach for her umbrella as she saw another kunoichi as she seemed to be making an open offer for an alliance; as evident by her open reveal of a Heaven Scroll that matched her own. Which put Azumi at ease as she thought the offer over.

"Well, an alliance seems to make sense. We both desire the same goal, and it would better our odds. I see no reason to reject your proposal." Azumi replied, as she accepted Sagiso's proposal and in truth had no reservations about it especially since this girl was not among the five major nations Azumi had her personal reservations against.

"My name is Azumi." Azumi said, as she realized she had not introduced herself where as Sagiso had and as such wanted to avoid being rude. Besides, they'd work better as a team if both of them connected on a first-name basis.

Yet again, Kiro was impressed by the hunter Nin’s stealthiness. He slightly flinched when he heard the voice near him, especially since his attention was focused on the grass ninja. If it was any other ninja, Kiro would’ve denied them straight away, but Kai’s trust in him really made the difference. “Well you won’t have too worry about me attacking you.” Kiro put it simply, not wanting to reveal the scroll he had out loud. He assumed Kai would be smart enough to figure out which one he had. Even if Kiro had the opposite scroll, he wouldn’t go after Kai out of respect for the fellow Mist ninja.
