Welcome to Aodes, where powerful magic meets the modern world. Magic is used by people everyday, for work, for play, and to keep others safe. Magic can be divided into five main elements. Pyros, the element of burning fire. Terra, the element of earthen attributes. Gust, the element of the swift wind. Aquos, the element of the raging water. And Light the power of the surging electricity. These powers flow through all and vary in strength from person to person. Most people in this world, can do practically none, but summon a small spark of their element. However humans aren't the only creatures in this world who can practice magic and harness it. There are creatures known as demons who live alongside humans. Most are harmless, hide among us trying to live peaceful lives, and like most humans have very little magical skill. However the magic that those demons who can use this magic isn't the same. It's known as Kage Magic, or the mastery of the element of shadows, an element that can only be mastered by demons. And the demons who have mastery over this magic are different from most humans and creatures of their species. They are filled with corrupt power, and try to destroy all they can. And it is the job of humans to stop them and prevent human casualties.
Familiars are demons, who make contracts with magic users. These are the more friendly and helpful demons, who are allowed to exist in this world, and are not hunted. They take the form of small creatures, normally things like dogs, cats, snakes, hares, mice, birds, etc. They very rarely have other forms. While they do not shape shift, they do have two forms. Their familiar form, which is their more earthly form, and their beast form which is bigger and more of a fighter. Mages can fight along side their familiars, when it is in its beast form. To have a familiar, a magic user must have a contract with one, and can only have one familiar. The contract is hard to break and is very complicated to break it when both parties are alive. However, if one party dies, then the contract is broken.
While Mages use Magic to fight, some still use weapons. It all depends on individual preference of the Mage. Magic can be infused with the user, giving each person a weapon that can be only be wielded by them, unless they break the seal placed on it, to allow others to use it. Weapons can vary widely from swords, to guns, to staffs.
The plot will take place in Samirah City, and we will take the role of Mages living in the city. He will hunt demons while in the city, only to uncover a plot by a group of organized demons to take control of the city. The question is, will you help or will you walk away from the chaos?

People who have strength in the magical arts are known as Mages. Mages can use their magical element in three forms. They are known as Emitter, Aura, and Creation classes of magic, and they each allow different uses of magic. Emitter class magic is using an element to create a concentrated output or wave. Aura class magic is where one uses their element to boost themselves or an item to create a powerful weapon to use. Creation class magic is where the Mage can create objects made from their element to help them with tasks.

Now magic isn't the only thing in this world. Technology is a common part of everyone's lives too in the world of Aodes, and is used by those who aren't as well versed in magic. Technology is almost equivalent to modern day. The biggest city in the region of Aodes, Samirah City is very large and similar to Tokyo. The plot will take place is Samirah City. The city is large and is along the eastern coast of the region. It's extremely large and has a lot of different parts of the city.

Rule 2: Posts must be at least a paragraph long. A paragraph in my book is at least 5 sentences. Try to make it more if possible though. Small posts are frowned upon. I mean i can understand having little to say, but as a minimum have it 5 sentences. Please, I beg of you.
Rule 3: So as you might be able to notice, the character sheet you must fill out is bolded. Well, to show me you read these rules, you must, before you fill it out, make the colons (this thing : ) not bolded, so it will come out like mine.
Rule 4: Cursing is allowed, but don't become a stereotypical sailor. As for blood and gore, it's allowed, just don't go crazy with it. Like I don't want a post about finding a bloody room, with enough detail to make me barf. I mean detail is good, but for blood and gore, maybe less details. And as for love, kissing and other things like that, keep it PG-13. I mean detail is cool, but maybe not always have it where it describes how the birds and bees work.

- Name: Ryoga Wilson
- Gender: Male
- Age: 17
- Appearance: Ryoga has a slightly angular face, with a slight curve in his cheeks. His nose is a bit crooked, and his eyes are a deep green. His hair is a reddish-brown color and is messy, kinda like a mop. He wears a school unifrom as he goes to a local prep school, which requires a dress code of a black blazer, white shirt, red tie, beige slacks, and black shoes. He wears his tie loose, and his blazer is open. His bag is a black one strapped backpack.
- Personality: Ryoga is very rash and hot-headed. But the boy is very caring about others. He is reckless, and is quick to act. He is somewhat a slacker in the classroom, and can't sit still. He is a huge eater, and loves to eat. He makes jokes and has a fun and friendly attitude. However he can very very stubborn. While he doesn't mind being treated poorly himself, insulting his friends or family, could easily get him ready to fight. He is decent with a sword and very poor with guns. He primarily sticks to Aura Magic. He hunts demons on the side, after school.
- Familiar: A small black mouse with a white snout, named Nabu. Nabu was originally Ryoga's father's familiar, but when he died, Ryoga signed a contract with him.
- Element: Pyro
- Weapon: A Katana passed down from his father. It was given via mail, when Ryoga's father died. It is now sealed to Ryoga. The handle is black, and the blade is silver. He keeps the sword in it's sheath.
- Backstory: His parents were separated when Ryoga was young, and his father lived in a far off city while him and his mother lived in Samirah City. Apparently his father became a software engineer and was making tons of cash. However, as Ryoga was to learn later, his father was in reality a Mage, and had been helping with a massive demon smuggling ring for the past 14. When Ryoga was 14, his father sent him a gift. It was his pet mouse, Nabu, a katana, and a video tape. The tape explained his father was dead, and Ryoga began to talk to Nabu. The two decided that they would avenge the death of Ryoga's father and they formed a contract. His mother, who was also an ex-Mage, helped Ryoga develop his skills, once she found out he learned the truth about his past. Her too was a mage, yet a retired one at that. Yet she still had a lot of strength, and taught him everything he knows about fighting demons. Once he graduates high school, he plans on becoming a professional mage.
