Ask to Join Life in the Wilds

You and one other newbie trainer (that's my character) have been chosen to be sent off to an oddity of regions that was newly discovered. So newly discovered, that nobody has been to it and it doesn't even have an official name. Nor has it been released to the public that it was found. Think of it like the New World and Europe. Your home was like Europe, and this place is like the New World. It's very big, very diverse in things like climate and species, and there's really nothing there. Not even any humans, just a huge amount of Pokémon and a lot of nature. Sounds hard to live in, right? Exactly. That's why you come equipped with a sort of personal market. It's a little device that you can use to put things up for sale, and to buy things. Pretty nifty for someone that's living largely alone. Anyways, onto the rules.
Rule 1: No Fakemon.
Rule 2: You must be a newbie trainer, and your starter must be an evolvable Pokémon at its base stage.
Rule 3: You must have proper grammar, and roleplay in literate-style. (No first-person, either.)
Rule 4: Have your character act realistically. A newbie trainer isn't going to be a hardened veteran rock climber who can live in degrees below zero without a jacket.
Rule 5: Follow the template given in the pinned post.

Post your character first, and I'll choose the character of mine that I believe would be the best fit, because I don't want this RP turning into one giant wall of constant arguing, or a constant "I'm a shy and non-talkative introvert" type of thing.

Rex

Resident Furry
Name: Renaud "Rey" Dupont
Gender: Male
Hometown: Camphrier Town, Kalos
Age: 15
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 137lbs
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Clothing: Rey prefers earthen tones in his clothing. He wears brown boots and tan pants, with a light green t-shirt and a darker green jacket. He also tends to wear thick brown gloves and a panama hat.
Identifying Marks: None
Musculature: Rey is decently toned. No where near what one would consider 'buff' but in good shape nonetheless.
Personality: Happy-go-lucky and easy going, Rey gets along well with most of the people he meets. He is a hard worker, and driven to find his own success, and help his friends succeed as well. He is adventurous, kind, and cheerful. However, he can be overbearing at times, has something of a one track mind, and can be hit by extreme cases of tunnel vision. He can also be insensitive without meaning to, as he had a tendency to speak his mind.
Skills: Not really one for book-smarts, Rey is versed in some more practical skills. He is a berry expert and a decent cook, and has some basic survivalist skills. Like many people, he has grown up with Pokemon, and understands proper care and grooming. Less practically, he's also versed in viticulture.
Past: Rey's family owns a vineyard, growing berries on a plantation outside the walls of Camphrier town. Wines and juices, for humans, raisins and fresh berries for both humans and Pokemon, and pokeblocks and poffins strictly for Pokemon. The creation and consumption of these products was the environment Rey grew up in. As the oldest child, it was expected that some day he'd inherit the family business, and his parents taught him everything they knew about living with nature, Pokemon, and berries.

Still, like every child, he eventually got bored of his simple life. His parents expected this, having been Trainers in their youth as well. So, shortly after his fifteenth birthday, they gave him their blessing to explore the world, as long as he promised to come back one day. They even presented him with a Pokemon of his own, rather than one of the many farm Pokemon, a Chespin procured from the local Professor in Lumiose City. Thus, first Pokemon in hand, the new Trainer left home to start his very own adventure.
Family: Rey's parents, and two younger siblings, all still live together on the Dupont Vineyard outside Camphrier.
Love Relationships?: None
Pokémon:
- Constantin (Chespin): Male, Overgrow. Constantin is Rey's first and thus far only Pokemon, given to him by his parents, who received him from the Professor in Lumiose. They get along well, but have little experience working as a team.

Name: Ingrid Blake
Gender: Female
Hometown: Dewford Town, Hoenn
Age: 16
Height: 5'10
Weight: 135 Ibs.
Hair: Long, brown, and pretty typical.
Eyes: A dull greenish-grey.
Clothing: She tends to wear clothes that have her favorite things on them or things that relate to her favorite things. As her favorites are Ice types, she tends to wear a lot of light blue or white clothes.
Identifying Marks: She has a big cut on her right arm from a childhood injury, but aside from that, there's nothing really identifying marks-wise.
Musculature: She's quite strong for a female, although she isn't bulky or toned like a bodybuilder by any stretch of the imagination. You wouldn't really be able to tell from looking at her how strong she is and how much she could do.
Personality: She's pretty carefree, but knows the times to care and the times to let loose. In a way that almost contradicts here carefree attitude, she has a hard time taking things like sarcasm for what they are; sarcasm. She takes thing seriously when it comes to words and insults. As well as this, she likes to be head-over-heels with a lot of people, and really quickly. When she does this, she turns from incredibly extroverted to somewhat shy and cautious.
Skills: She's pretty skilled in exploration skills, like climbing and things like that. She's very persistent and can walk very long distances without resting. She also knows her navigation and knows how to read things like the stars and how to leave tracks and even a bit of mapping. However, she's really not good at staying in one place and doesn't like to camp at a single place for more than one night. This is why she hated being back at home, and why she was so eager to go on this journey.
Past: She was born to a typical household in Dewford Town, and her life and childhood was largely normal. However, with a bit of reverse psychology, she decided to explore around solely because her parents told her not to. This is where she got her love for exploring and all of her exploration-related skills like climbing and walking long distances. She did this for years, and was almost never caught. Eventually, when she turned sixteen, she convinced her parents to let her go on her journey. Her starter was a cheap one her parents bought; it was a Sneasel, and she quickly took the opportunity to go on the mission to a "new world" that had just been discovered.
Family: She has her mom and her dad, but that's it/
Love Relationships?: Other than her crushes that she has, nothing really.
Pokémon: Sneasel (Assassin), Female, Inner Focus. Of course, Assassin is her first and only Pokémon, and it came from an auction online. Yeah, kind of immoral, but it's how she got her. She likes it more than it likes her.
