Kingdom Hearts: Twins of Twilight (Private RP)

(This is a private RP between Blazi and myself)

Aaron sighed as he laid in the sand next to his twin brother Daniel. They had decided to take a break. The beautiful weather of the islands was perfect for it after all. Just relaxing in the warm sun felt great, but he couldn’t help feeling like he was forgetting something. Luckily someone was around to remind them. Their friend, Kairi walked up behind the twins, annoyed. “You two are worse than Sora, you know that? You’re supposed to be helping us take care of Chobi!” She pointed to Riku and Sora, who seemed to have their hands full with a large yellow bird running all around the beach. Aaron and Daniel got up to help, but Chobi was much faster. Seeing Aaron and Daniel awake, Chobi rushed them tackling the brothers with an excited, “Kweh!”

Aaron laughed as he petted Chobi’s head, “You don’t get tired do you boy?” Chobi nuzzled against Aaron and Daniel before finally letting the two up. Chobi’s egg had washed up on the islands awhile ago, since then he had grown very attached to Aaron and Daniel. He had also grown very quickly, already standing at Aaron’s shoulder. Chobi let out a happy chirp, jumping up and down until Aaron and Daniel would play with him. The rest of the day became chasing the young bird around until he was so tired he finally fell asleep. By then the sun had started to go down.

Aaron, Daniel and the others headed over to the small islet where they normally watched the sunset. Sora, Riku and Kairi took their normal spots on the bent palm while Aaron and Daniel sat at the base of the tree. Sora stretched and yawned, “We finally tired him out. Doesn’t help he’s getting even bigger.”

Aaron smiled, “Yeah, if he gets much bigger we could ride him. He definitely has the energy for it.”

Kairi chimed in, “Just don’t find anymore pet’s, ok? We can barely keep up with this one!”
Everyone laughed at the thought of multiple Chobi’s and how impossible keeping up with them would be. Thinking about Chobi’s egg, Aaron decided to ask a question that was on his mind for a while. “Hey guys, what do you think is out there?”

“Out there?” Riku asked, looking like he already knew Aaron’s question.

“Well, Chobi’s egg came from somewhere right? The world can’t be all ocean. What do you think it’s like? ”

The three friends shared a glance and smiled like it was an inside joke, even Riku. That was rare. Sora looked up at the sky and smiled, “Who knows? There could be whole other worlds…”

“All kinds of people…” Kairi added, sharing the same look Sora had.

“Even monsters and villains in the shadows.” Riku added. The whole time they spoke, the three of them looked like they were sharing an old memory. Riku continued, “But why worry about it, we’re here on the islands. We’re not going anywhere.”

Aaron jumped up, “We’re not stuck here, we could build a raft! The five of us could use it to sail wherever we wanted, even to other worlds! ” Now Aaron knew he was missing something, as all three of them started to laugh. “What’s so funny?”

Sora and Riku both jumped down from the tree. “It’s you two.” Sora said grinning “You have no idea what you might find out there, and you think you’re ready to take it on?”

They both grabbed the wooden swords they normally carried with them. Riku smirked, “It’s funny considering you can’t even beat us.”

Aaron smiled at Daniel and drew his own wooden sword. “Oh yeah? Well then, prove it!” Aaron blocked as Sora jumped at him. They continued trading blows until it was time to head home, the thoughts of other worlds almost forgotten, almost. Before heading home, Aaron and Daniel checked that Chobi was safely tucked away in his nest. After they arrived home they quickly fell asleep, but they hardly got to rest.

Daniel sighed, basking in the warm glow of Destiny Islands' sun next to his twin, Aaron. He was pretty sure he was meant to be doing something, but took no notice of it.

Until Kairi walked up to the duo, looking annoyed. "You two are worse than Sora, you know that? You're supposed to be helping us take care of Chobi!" Kairi exclaimed, pointing at Sora and Riku. The two friends were chasing a large yellow bird around the beach, neither of which were managing to catch it. Daniel and Aaron got up, but spying his friends awake, the bird ran at them full pelt, tackling them into the sand with a "Kweh!"

Aaron laughed, and patted him on the head, commenting on how he never got tired. The large bird nuzzled against the two, before letting them get up. A while ago, the egg that would later hatch into Chobi washed up on the shore near the docks. Aaron and Daniel were the ones to find the egg, and the ones who wanted to raise the chick that would likely hatch out. After hatching, Chobi took a shine to both Aaron and Daniel, and grew up fast. The large bird was now at Aaron's shoulder, and packed full of energy to go with it. The only way to get rid of this energy was to chase Chobi around the island, which Sora, Riku and Kairi had been doing, and Aaron and Daniel had now joined in. By the time the bird finally became tired and fell asleep, the sun had begun to set.

Daniel, Aaron and the three were sitting on the islet, watching the sun as it turned the sky a magnificent orange. Daniel was sitting next to Aaron at the base of the tree. Sora yawned and said something, but Daniel had already tuned out, watching the bright orb sink lower in the sky. Aaron asked a question, but it was only an idea he had already presented to Daniel. He started listening properly however, when they started laughing at his raft idea.

"Hey, it's a fair point!" Daniel said, slightly annoyed at his friends for laughing at Aaron, "a raft could actually work! What's so amusing about it?"

"It's you two," said Sora, having got down from the bent palm, 'You have no idea what you might find out there, and you think you're ready to take it on?"

Riku and Sora grabbed their wooden swords, and Riku grinned, "It's funny, considering you can't even beat us!"

Daniel cast a grin at his brother, getting up and drawing his own sword. "Wanna bet?" he said to the two, before parrying a slash from Riku, and retaliating with one of his own. They battled each other for a while, with Kairi smiling on the sidelines, before they had to go home. Daniel and Aaron checked on Chobi one last time, before getting in their shared boat, and heading home. When they got home, they mucked around for a bit, had dinner, the usual stuff. It wasn't until they fell asleep, however, that things became weird.

He was falling, and all around him was dark, to the point where he couldn't see anything at all. The only exception was a dark pillar-type thing, below him, to which he was falling rather quickly. As he fell, he worried that he was going to crash, but this proved to be unneeded, as he was about to hit it, some force turned him so that he would land feet-first, and slowed him down. As he landed, he noticed another figure across from him. It looked familiar, but as he stepped forwards to get a better look, the floor around him erupted in white, and dove-like-birds flew up all around him, revealing a stained-glass window-like floor.

The part of the floor Daniel was standing on showed someone who looked very familiar. It was Daniel, dressed in strange clothes, and holding an odd weapon, looking like a cross between a key and a sword. The background Daniel was against was a purple, crossing into black every now and then. It met up with the other side, which looked similar and different at the same time, in the middle, where it mingled in a fluid fusion of black and white. In the very center of the floor was a pedestal with a sword appearing to float over it, the point facing down. On the floor encircling it was a bat's wing and an Angel wing, the wing tips pointing counter-clockwise for both.

The sword was a mixture between black and white, much like the pattern on the floor. The pedestal it was floating above however, was much more uniform, with a neat line keeping the black on one side, and the white on the other. Just as Daniel's disbelieving eyes had taken this all in, a voice rang out in his head, not sounding like anything, just words given form.

The darkness is about to invade again. The three will leave, but will you be ready to follow? Twilight can be powerful, so long as the border stays strong. But be careful for when the line becomes blurred, for it is then that the danger becomes clear.

As the voice said this, the sword split into two. One of the swords was white, the other, black. Without thinking, Daniel reached forward to take the black sword, whilst the other figure took the white. As the figure stepped forward take the sword, Daniel noticed that it was in fact his Twin, Aaron. Before Daniel could say anything though, the pedestal disappeared, and in front of them was what seemed to be a staircase made out of small slabs of the stained glass floor, except this time, they were just melds of purple, black, gold, and white. Casting a glance at his brother, Daniel started walking forwards, following the steps up to a new pillar.

The floor of this pillar was different. In the center was a heart, with black on the right side of the heart, and white on the other. The border of the heart was reversed, however, with black on the left, and white opposite. The rest of the floor around the heart was the same black and white pattern that had decorated the sword and the floor beneath. The voice spoke out again, ringing through Daniel's head.

You have chosen your alignments, and your hearts have begun their journey. But don't be scared of the path ahead. Only be scared of the obstacles in your way.

Once the voice had finished saying this, the floor in front of Daniel began to ripple, the black chasing the white, and vice versa. A small portal-esque hole opened in front of the duo, made from what appeared to be black and white flames. A large claw came out of the portal, and soon the rest of the monster came with it. It had a scaly body, and a dragon-like head. It's scales had the exact same pattern as the floor, and its red eyes bored into Daniel. Lifting up his sword, Daniel got into his regular fighting pose, ready to take this thing down.

OoC: WOW wall of text. Sorry about that.

Aaron was falling, falling through darkness that seemed to go on for ever. He couldn't see anything except for a dark pillar that he was very quickly falling towards. He closed his eyes expecting to crash into it, but as he neared the pillar, his descent slowed and he flipped to land feet first. He noticed someone else standing across from him, but as he turned to get a better look, the floor around im erupted into white doves revealing the stained-glass-window floor.

On the part of the floor Aaron was standing on, there was an image of himself. He was holdong a strange sword, or maybe a key. It seemed to be a little of both. The background was a pure white.

Aaron continued to stare at the sword comepletely mystified until a strange voice in his head spoke.

The darkness is about to invade again. The three will leave, but will you be ready to follow? Twilight can be powerful, so long as the border stays strong. But be careful for when the line becomes blurred, for it is then that the danger becomes clear.

As the voiced finished speaking the sword split into two, one black and one white. Without hesitation Aaron reached over and grabbed the white sword while the other person took the black. As they neared each other to grab the swords, Aaron realized the other person was Daniel. Before daniel could ask his brother what was going on, a stained glass staircase leading to another platform appeared. Aaron gave a quick glance to his brother and began walking up the steps.

As they arrived Aaron noticed the floor of this pillar was different. In the center was a heart, with black on the right side of the heart, and white on the other. The border of the heart was reversed, however, with black on the left, and white opposite. The rest of the floor around the heart was the same black and white pattern that had decorated the sword and the floor beneath. The voice spoke out again, ringing through Aaron's head.

You have chosen your alignments, and your hearts have begun their journey. But don't be scared of the path ahead. Only be scared of the obstacles in your way.

As the voice finished, the black and the white of the floor began to shift and warp. A portal, seemingly made of black and white flames appeared before them. A massive claw appeared from the portal and right behind came the monster it was attached to. It was a massive, scaled beast with a dragon-like head filled with jagged teeth and glowing red eyes. It's scales had the same black-on-white flame pattern as the sword and floor. Aaron lifted the sword and got into his normal stance, ready to take the creature down. The beast opened it's jaws and roared, the sound was like the crash of thunder. As Aaron and Daniel ran at it, the beast roared again.

Aaron was jolted awake by a loud noise. He shook his head thinking about the strange dream. It had been the most vivid dream he had ever had, and Daniel had been in it too. Could it mean something? Before he could puzzle it over further he heard the sound that had woken him up. It hadn't been the creature that sounded like thunder, the sound had been actual thunder. Aaron looked out of the small window and saw storm clouds headed their way. Suddenly, Aaron realozed what that meant. Chobi would be completely on his own while a thunderstorm battered the islands. Judging by the clouds, Aaron figured they would be able to just beat the storm to the islands. Aaron quickly shook his brother awake, "Aaron wake up, there's a storm coming! We have to get to Chobi and make sure he's safe."

The two quickly got into their boat and and arrived at the island just before the storm did. As their boat bumped against the dock, they noticed Sora's, Riku's, and Kairi's boats as well. Maybe they'd come to help with Chobi as well. The plan was simple, get Chobi into the secret place and ride out the storm in there. However when they arrived at Chobi's nest they realized a major problem. Chobi was nowhere to be found.

Spoilered since I'm not actually a part of the RP and all I wanna do is make a quick comment:

I have no idea why you two are complaining about posting walls of text! That's not a bad thing! It means you're taking the time and effort to make a good post! Sure, it means more reading later on but how is that a bad thing? Answer: it's not! Make big posts all the time! It's a good thing! It shows that you're enjoying what you're writing!

Yeah that's pretty much all I had to say. Carry on!

As Daniel rushed forward, the creature roared, making a noise like thunder. Daniel took no notice, but as the creature roared again, he woke up. The noise he thought was a roar was actually, in fact, thunder. He paid no attention to this fact, until he heard his twin call out to him, in a very worried tone. "Daniel, wake up! There's a storm coming! We have to check on Chobi and make sure he's safe."

Daniel's head shot up, and he jumped out of his bed, quite literally. He got changed as fast as he could, wasting a few precious seconds as he took his shirt off, and put it back on the right way. As he rushed out of the door, he paused, and grabbed both his, and Aaron's swords, just in case. He followed his brother to their boat, being careful not to wake up their parents, and set out for the island.

As they got there, with only minutes before the storm set in, Daniel noted the presence of Sora, Riku and Kairi's boats. He guessed this was because they wanted to check on Chobi as well. Aaron and Daniel rushed towards where they kept Chobi's nest, with the intention of moving him to the Secret Place, a cavern Sora, Riku and Kairi had originally found, and one that Aaron and Daniel had discovered afterwards. There was only one problem with their plan: Chobi had vanished.

Aaron and Daniel turned the area upside-down while they were looking for the bird, but eventually they admitted defeat. Daniel, however, had an idea. "What if Riku and the others already moved him to the Secret Place?" Then, without seeing his brother's reaction, he started running for the cave. However, as he crawled through the tunnel, he found a very nasty surprise. No-one was there.

Aaron was crawling through the hole behind Daniel just as he walked forward to survey the area. Nothing had changed: there was the monster, there was the picture of Sora and Kairi; and there was the crudely drawn picture of Chobi. Slightly angered, Daniel picked up a rock, and slashed an 'x' over the picture. He was about to do more when he noticed a slip of paper on the ground next to him. He picked it up, and read it.

Hey guys, sorry about leaving you, but we kinda had to. We'll explain everything when we see you again. S, R, & K.

Daniel showed the note to his brother, just as a flash of lighting lit up the entrance. He shot a meaningful look at Aaron, who rushed outside. Daniel was just about to do the same. He paused, thinking he saw something. He looked back, and saw that the normally solid door now had a large keyhole in it. Beyond, he could only see black ness, but as he stepped in to have a closer look, a peal of thunder snapped him out of it.

Daniel shook his head, and rushed out of the Secret Place, casting a single look over his shoulder as he did so. He attempted to clear this from his mind, as he rushed to face the storm.

OoC: Not as long as I'd have liked, but oh well. It was all I could do in such a limited amount of time. (Yes I realise I sound like an idiot, complaining about how it was too long, and now how it's too short)

When Aaron and Daniel failed to find Chobi in his nest, they began to search frantically for him all over. Aaron was nearly about to give up hope of finding Chobi. Daniel, however, had an idea. "What if Riku and the others already moved him to the Secret Place?" It made sense that Sora and the others would do that if they had arrived before the twins.

Daniel took off for the secret place before Aaron had a chance to react, but Aaron was soon following after him. As Aaron crawled into the cavern he saw the pictures sora and the others had drawn. He saw Daniel scratching out a certain picture, but what he din't see was Chobi. He walked over to Daniel and realized that the picture he was scratching out was a picture of Chobi. Aaron knew exactly how Daniel felt. He cared about Chobi just as much as Daniel did, and knowing that Chobi was gone, maybe alone, was tearing him up inside.

As Aaron sat worrying about Chobi, Daniel found something unusual on the ground. He passed it to Aaron. When Aaron looked at it, he realized it was a note from Sora and the others! Maybe they knew where Chobi was! Aaron quickly read the note, but was disapointed when it simply seemed to be a goodbye.

Hey guys, sorry about leaving you, but we kinda had to. We'll explain everything when we see you again. S, R, & K.

As Aaron finished reading the note, lightning lit up the entrance. Aaron and Daniel shared a meaningful glance and ran outside. However, Aaron didn't notice Daniel hang back as something caught his attention. When Aaron exited he noticed that even though the storm was raging outside, not a single drop of rain was falling. He also noticed a strange black creature standing on the beach. It had a large head and glowing yellow eyes. It moved around in little twitches and was staring right at Aaron. As he noticed that Daniel was no longer next to him, he tried to call for his brother but the sound was drowned out by another crack of lightning and thunder. Lucky Daniel came out of the secret place at that moment.

Aaron pointed at the strange creature,"Daniel, what the heck is that thing?" For some reason, Aaron didn't like the strange cretaure. As comical as it's appearance was, it seemed dangerous. Unfortunately, he was right. The strange creature melted into the groound, like a shadow, and rushed at Aaron. It jumped up and tried to slash at him but Aaron rolled out of the way. Daniel threw Aaron his wooden sword and Aaron tried to strike at the creature, but the sword passed through it harmlessly as if it wasn't there. Soon more creatures appeared and Aaron and Daniel soon found themselves back-to-back, surrounded.
Aaron looked at his twin and smiled,"You know all those times I said 'If you go down fighting, I'll go down with you?' I never thought I'd have to prove it."

As the ring of shadowy creatures pounced, Aaron felt some force pull his sword forward. In a flash of white light, the sword cut through the shadowy creatures. They disappeared in a puff of black smoke. The sword in Aaron's hand was very different than the wooden toy he was used to. It looked like a snow-white key, the sword's guard was a pair of angel wings. The blade was made of two parralel beams and the "teeth" of the key was an intricate snowflake. The sword looked familiar, and with good reason. It was the key he had seen himself holding in the image on the stained glass in his dream.

Aaron turned to see that Daniel had defeated some of the creatures as well. In his hand was a black key, similar yet very different to his own. Aaron pointed to the black key and gestured to where the creatures once stood. Aaron spoke, voice trembling "Just what the heck are these things?" Suddenly, the island gave a firce lurch that nearly toppled the twins. "Now what?" Aaron asked, afraid of what they might run into next.

As Daniel caught up with Aaron, he noticed two things. One: a storm was going on, but not a single drop of rain had fallen. Two: the was a black creature, twitching and jerking, staring at his brother with creepy yellow eyes. Something inside Daniel recognized the creature, but Daniel struggled to remember where. Suddenly, he remembered: a dream he had, not long ago. In it, he was fighting Aaron, except he was black-and-dark grey colored, and had the same, unsettling yellow eyes as the creature.

Daniel was snapped out of his thoughts by the creature lunging at Aaron. Aaron rolled out of the way, and Daniel readied his wooden sword, throwing Aaron his. However, the sword just passed clean through the enemy, not doing any damage at all. More creatures started to appear, until eventually Daniel was standing with his back to his twin, holding his sword out in front of him. Aaron looked at Daniel and smiled, albeit sadly. "You know all those times I said 'If you go down fighting, I'll go down with you?' I never thought I'd have to prove it." Aaron said, But Daniel just shook his head angrily.

"I know you'd never lie to me, but this isn't the time to be thinking that way." Daniel said, anger showing in his voice. All of a sudden, Anger flooded through Daniel, and he bared his teeth, saying, "We still need to find Chobi! And the others." An idea flew through Daniel's head, and the anger reached boiling point. "I swear, if any of you creatures did anything to Chobi, I will make you pay." Daniel felt a tugging inside his heart, as if something was responding to his anger and attempting to come out. Almost in response, the creatures all pounced, and Daniel swung his sword to keep them away.

A flash of light, a puff of smoke, and the creatures were gone. Daniel noticed that his sword had changed, and his anger ebbed away to be replaced by curiosity. In his hand, he was holding some strange weapon, like a cross between a key and a sword. The guard looked like bat wings, connected by a fancy black spike near the bottom, and a purple-blue Diamond at the top. Attached to the diamond and hilt was a black chain, on a sharp-looking, black shaft. At the head of the shaft was a fancy spike, like a larger and fuller version of the one on the hilt. The teeth was some sort of character, which was spiky and the same black as the rest of the weapon. It was the same thing he had seen himself wielding in the stained-glass-floor!

Daniel looked at his twin, who was carrying a similar, yet different, white weapon. Aaron spoke nervously, his voice trembling. "Just what the heck are these things?" Daniel was about to reply, when the ground underneath shook violently, causing Daniel to stagger. His thoughts were voiced by Aaron, who muttered, "Now what?" Daniel looked towards his twin with an uncertain look, before running to the small shack built to the wall near the beach. It also served as a passageway to the islet where Aaron and Daniel loved to sit, and in case of unexpected storms, shelter.

OoC: FINALLY. EDIT: Our weapons are now Oblivion for Daniel, and Oathkeeper for Aaron. This change was because of a personal preference on my part.

The twins ran for the small shack that acted as a door to the islet. Since it was built into the stone wall it would make an ok shelter from the storm and any more of those creatures. As they began to enter the shack, a lone figure on the islet caught Aaron's attention. The figure wore a long white coat, the hood completely covering their face. But what really got Aaron's attention was the black object in the figure's hand. It was another key! It was too much of a coincidence. Aaron pointed at the figure,"Daniel look! He's got one of these things too, maybe he knows something." Aaron took off down the islet's bridge with Daniel right behind him. Whoever this person was, they were going to give the twins some answers.

As they approached the figure, it turned to face them. The figure let out a low chuckle and said, "Heh, you to are really surprising, you know that? I thought it'd be fun to watch to watch some Shadows tear you apart, and what do you do? Pull a pair of Keyblades out of nowhere!" The figure paused to gesture at their swords before continuing. "I already knew about the pair of weilders here, never thought I'd find two more. Even if you are hopelessly green."

Aaron hated this guy. The arrogant tone he used when he spoke sounded like a kid who knew he could get away with anything. He also he seemed to know quite a bit about what was going on, calling the Keyblades and shadows by name. Aaron leveled his Keyblade at the figure and said, "Just who are you?"

The figure just laughed, "Ha! You're in no position to ask questions, especially with those puny excuses for Keyblades." Shadows swirled around the figure as he disappeared, reappearing on the beach. "Besides, I don't see much point in telling my name to a couple of corpses!" he said maliciously, as he plunged his keyblade into the ground. He twisted the sword like a key in a lock, unleashing from where it touched the ground, a flood of black and white flames. As the figure pulled the Keyblade from the ground, a masive claw burst from the ground. From the black and white flames came the same monster from Aaron's dream. As the beast roared ferociously, the figure turned and walked away. As he left he said,"Have fun with Boundary! On the off chance you two make it, I'll let you in on my name." The figure continued on to the secret place, leaving the twins with a snarling Boundary.

Aaron got Daniel's attention by pointing. Following Aaron's finger, Daniel spied a figure on the islet, with a weapon similar to Daniel's. He was wearing a white cloak with a hood pulled up. Aaron said something, and took off down the bridge, with Daniel only millimetres behind.

As they approached the figure, he turned, and chuckled, "Heh, you two are really surprising, you know that? I thought it'd be fun to watch some Shadows tear you apart, and what do you do? Pull a pair of Keyblades out of nowhere! I already knew about the pair of wielders here, but I never thought I'd find two more. Even if you ARE hopelessly green." Something about the person's voice sounded awfully familiar, but Daniel was to angered to listen. The person though it was FUN to watch someone be torn apart?

"Just who are you?" Aaron shouted, pointing his Keyblade at him. Daniel's twin sounded angry, and Daniel couldn't agree more. The person laughed, and looked at them.

"Ha! You're in no position to ask questions, especially with those puny excuses for Keyblades." The figure disappeared, and reappeared on the beach, with shadows swirling around him. "Besides, I don't see the point of telling my name to a couple of corpses!" the person plunged his Keyblade into the ground, and twisted. Black and white flames roared around the entry point, as the figure pulled out the Keyblade, a claw erupted from the flames, pulling with it the monster from Daniel's dream. The creature roared, and the person walked away. The person said, "Have fun with Boundary! On the off chance you two make it, I'll let you in on my name."

Daniel grimaced, and looked at his twin. "That guy is a giant di-" his sentence was cut off by a roar from Boundary. Daniel turned, and shouted at the creature, "and so are you!" Without warning, he rushed at the creature, and jumped off the bridge. He rolled as he hit the ground, and in one smooth movement, threw his Keyblade at Boundary. The black weapon his the creature in the face, and then reappeared in Daniel's hand. "Aaron! Let's go!" he called to his twin, who was jumping off the bridge behind him.

Daniel grimaced, and looked at his twin. "That guy is a giant di-" his sentence was cut off by a roar from Boundary. Daniel turned, and shouted at the creature, "and so are you!" Without warning, he rushed at the creature, and jumped off the bridge.

"Daniel, wait! We have to stay togeth-" Aaron gave up as his brother charged Boundary, leaving him on the bridge. Aaron was worried about Daniel. When he got angry, Daniel was very reckless and this mystery man had him plenty angry. He'd run headlong into a fight with a nine-headed dragon if you got him mad enough. If he kept running in head first he was bound to get hurt eventually, 'Well, I guess it's just my job to keep him from doing something stupid.' he thought to himself. As he looked at what he and Daniel intended to tackle he chuckled, "Ship's sailed I guess."

As Aaron jumped down from the bridge and charged in behind Daniel, Daniel flung his Keyblade striking Boundary in the face. The creature staggered to one knee in pain. Daniel turned urging Aaron forward, "Aaron, let's go!"

He dashed past Daniel and smirked,"Don't need to tell me twice!" Aaron rushed ahead of his brother, straight for Boundary. He jumped off of its bent knee, springing up to its head. He slashed at it's face with his keyblade, causing the creature to roar in pain. As Aaron feel bacck to the beach, he turned, tossing his Keyblade at Daniel."Daniel, finish this thing off so we can get that guy!" Aaron shouted as he flung his weapon.

((OOC:Transparent foreshadowing, yay!))

After Daniel had thrown his keyblade at Boundary, his twin rushed past, saying, "Don't need to tell me twice!" Daniel smiled as his twin pulled off an amazing bit of acrobatics. Daniel's twin ran towards the creature, jumped off its raised, scaly knee, and slashed it in its face. As the creature roared in pain, Aaron landed on the beach behind it, turned, and threw his keyblade at Daniel, shouting, "Daniel, finish this thing off so we can get that guy!"

Daniel caught his twin's keyblade, and grinned at the smoothness of it all. Holding the white keyblade in his left hand, Daniel ran at Boundary, holding the kayblades low. Once he was within reach, he jumped, flipped, and slashed the creature in the face, his keyblades making an 'x'. The creature roared again, but froze mid-roar. As Daniel landed next to Aaron, he handed his twin his keyblade back. He then turned, and watched the scene unfold.

Boundary was slowly being wreathed in the black-and-white flames, and once it was fully covered, there was a whooshing sound, and the flames dissipated, leaving nothing behind but faint traces of white and black. There was a crater in the sand where Boundary was a second before, but nothing else to suggest a giant reptile was there. Daniel looked at his twin again, and said, "Now, let's go after Mr. Arrogant, and beat the crap out of him. I am not letting him go without his name."

Daniel lead the way towards the secret place, where he had seen the person go. He entered to see the person standing in front of the door, a keyblade in his hand. Now that he was close enough, Daniel could see the details. The guard was a heart, with black on one side, and white on the other, and the shaft made a vicious point, with the teeth making an outline of a heart. He laughed, and turned to face the twins, his hood falling down as he did so.

Daniel gasped, his anger momentarily forgotten. The person - boy? - looked exactly like Sora, except for the fact he had blonde hair, and red eyes. He laughed, and the similarities to Sora stopped there. Where Sora was kind, and warm, this person was cold, and arrogant. "So, you idiots actually survived Boundary, and I'm not seeing a scratch on either of you! Surprising, considering your keyblades are basically toothpicks."

Daniel gritted his teeth, and shouted at the person, "Alright, I've had enough of you! We beat the lizard you called 'Boundary', and you promised us a name. So tell us, before we beat it out of you." he levelled his Keyblade at the person, who just laughed.

"Alright, you idiots want a name? I'll give you one. My name's Aros. Keep that in mind while you spiral into the darkness!" And with that, Aros spun around, and pointed his Keyblade at the door. A beam of black-and-white light shot out of the end, and lanced into the door. The was a clicking sound, and the door opened. Black wind rushed out, blowing Daniel and Aaron out of the secret place. The last thing Daniel saw before he blacked out was Aros walking into a portal, laughing.

***

Daniel woke up, and rubbed his forehead. That blast from Aros had given him quite the headache, and he swore he could see purple out of the sides of his eyes. He shook his head and looked. His eyes weren't being tricked. where the sea originally was, was now a large blac-and-purple void. He couldn't see the main islands at all, and at the edge of the shore was cracks, as if the sea bed had been torn away.

Above both him and Aaron was a large, purple orb. As Daniel looked up at it, he felt something inside him tug, and he got up from his lying down position, and started walking to the point where the orb was closest to the island. He heard Aaron stir beside him, and as he was getting closer to the orb, he heard his twin call out, "Daniel, what's happening?"

Daniel stopped, and replied without turning around, "I have no more idea than you do. But I do know this. That orb is going to take us somewhere, and we need to be ready when it does. Once we leave, we might not be able to come back. We may never see our parents again. There's no turning back. But this may be our only chance." Daniel turned to face Aaron, who had stood up and was now behind him, and held out his hand. "Let's go!"

OoC: Yeah, Riku moment!

As Boundary dissappeared in a flurry of black and white flames, Daniel turned to Aaron and said, "Now, let's go after Mr. Arrogant, and beat the crap out of him. I am not letting him go without his name."

Aaron nodded at his twin, simply saying, "Agreed."

They ran into the secret place after the hooded man. When they had the man cornered, he finally revealed his face, causing Daniel to gasp. Aaron was too shocked to follow suit. He looked exactly like Sora, only with blonde hair and cold, red eyes. He laughed a high, cold laugh and said, "So, you idiots actually survived Boundary, and I'm not seeing a scratch on either of you! Surprising, considering your keyblades are basically toothpicks." He pointed his keyblade at the door, firing a beam of light at it from his keyblade. "Alright, you idiots want a name? I'll give you one. My name's Aros. Keep that in mind while you spiral into the darkness!" he declared, as the twins were blown back onto the beach.

As Aaron awoke on the beach, he saw that the world was literally falling apart. What was left of the island was hovering in an endless void, with pieces flying up into a massive violet orb in the sky. As he began to get up off the sand he noticed Daniel walk past him right towards the orb, he almost seemed entranced. He called out to his brother, trying to get his attention, "Daniel, what's happening?"

"Let's go!"

Aaron was beginning to panic, his world was ending, his friends were gone, and his brother was acting strangely. When Daniel spoke, it almost sounded like an entirely different person. Aaron hesitated for a second before he reached for his brother's hand. A second too long. The two began to rise into the air towards the purple orb. "Daniel!" Aaron shouted his brother's name as he desperately tried to grasp his brother's hand, missing by inches. As he rose into the air, he blacked out. The last image in his mind, his brother standing before a door into darkness.
***
Aaron awoke to an unexpected surprise, he actually woke up. He sat up slowly, feeliing as if he had been run over in a stampede. As he got up, he looked around his surroundings. He was in a small back alley. There wasn't much there other than a few crates and some kind of clubhouse, but that was blocked by a crate too. "Daniel? Hey, Daniel!" Aaron called, hoping his brother waas nearby. Having no luck, he decided to look for him. As he exited the alley, he came out onto a long sloping street. Aaron could see the sky was a burning orange, probably from sunset. Most of the buildings he could see were denseley packed together. He followed the sloping street downward until he came to a large, flat lot. There was almost nothing there save for a few benches.

Aaron sighed,"Nothing here. Daniel, were are you?" Aaron's thoughts began to drift to how Daniel had reacted to that dark thing. It had terrified him, but Daniel had seemed to relish it. Aaron shudered as he thought of the darkness. But as scared as he had been, Daniel had been right. Aaron had made it to another world, and he knew Daniel had too. He had to find him.

Suddenly a rough voice interupted Aaron's thoughts,"Hey, just who are you?"

Aaron hesitated for a second. A second too long. As Daniel rose into the air, Aaron cried out his name, and made a grab for his hand, missing by inches. Daniel called out his twin's name one more time, before being swallowed by the darkness.

***

Daniel grumbled a little in his sleep. The sand of Destiny Islands wasn't usually this had, and he never napped anywhere but the beach. Turning over a little bit, Daniel felt the dirt underneath his hand.

Wait, dirt?

Daniel shot upwards onto his feet, and looked around. Instead of the beach of Destiny Islands, he was standing outside the gates of some sort of mansion. The sky overhead was tinged with orange and gold, so Daniel guessed it was about sundown. He turned, and faced the gates to the mansion. They were closed, but there was no lock on them.

Lock... That reminded Daniel. He held out his hand in front of him, and concentrated. There was a flash of black light, and when Daniel opened his eyes again, he was holding that weapon. "Keyblade..." he said to himself, looking at the intricate, black designs on it. Daniel suddenly remembered Aaron and looked around. Once he confirmed that his twin was nowhere in sight, he looked back at the mansion, and muttered, "As good a place to start as any."

***

Daniel had searched through the mansion, but had no luck in finding Aaron. He had one room left, though, and he had a feeling he'd find something there. When he opened the door, he shook his head a little bit, and rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

The room, in contrast to the rest of the mansion, was whole, had no dirt or dust anywhere, and instead of the oranges and browns, it was a startling white. All over the walls were pictures, all drawn crudely in crayon. He saw people that looked very familiar, and places he'd seen in dreams. A drawing on the desk however, caught his eye. He walked over, and looked at it.

On the paper were two people that looked like they were fighting. they both had dirty blond hair, and both were holding very familiar weapons. One, dressed normally, was holding a white keyblade with some yellow at the tip. The other was more interesting. It was a person, shrouded in black, with bright yellow eyes, holding a black keyblade. As he looked closer, however, he heard a voice behind him.

"So, you're finally here."

OoC: There~ Took two hours, but there~

Aaron turned around, noticing the small group standing behind him. They were seemngly led by the young man wearing a blue vest and long coat. His blonde hair was covered by a black beanie. He was flanked by a very severe looking, silver-haired girl and a burly looking young man. "Hey, I asked you a question. Who are you?" the blonde haired one asked again.

Aaron realized these three might be able to help him find Daniel if he was nice enough, but he decided to leave out the part about them being from off-world. Aaron replied,"Oh, m-my name's Aaron. Y'see, my brother and I aren't from around here and we got seperated from each other. I'm just trying to-"

"Seifer really doesn't like your type, y'know?" the large one said, interuppting Aaron.

The firce-looking girl nodded, adding, "Outsider."

The blonde one named Seifer grinned, pointing in Aaron's direction, "I don't like you shouting all over my town. It's the job of the Twilight Town disciplinary commitee to get rid of losers like you!" The three of them each took a fighting stance, with Seifer wielding some kind of blue club-like weapon.

After everything Aaron had been through today, the three of them were hardly intimidating by comparison. Even though he wasn't holding it, Aaron could feel the Keyblade's presence. He focused on the presence and the weapon appeared in his hand in a flash of light. Aaron smirked as he struck his own fighting stance,"I hope you're comfortable losing to a loser!"
Aaron made quick work of Seifer, easily disarming him and knocking him down. He hadn't been much of a fighter. Aaron easily dodged and blocked his attacks while landing plenty of his own. Once Seifer got back up, he simply said, "Hmph, let's go," and walked off with the other two.

As the three began to leave, Aaron began to wonder where he should look for Daniel next. However, he didn't get long to think before he met his next surprise. Several tall, lithe creatures began to appear around him. They were white with zippers for mouths, and moved as if they weren't entirely solid.

"Great, more monsters." Aaron muttered quietly. As he raised his Keyblade once more, he began to realize how tired he was getting. He might not be able to hold the creatures off. Instead of fighting, he decided to run instead. He headed up the sloping roads, all the while hearing the creatures chasing him. Eventually he came to the top of the hill. It was a small circular area in front of a large clocktower, and a dead end. Aaron swore as he ran into a corner, forcing himself to take on the creatures.

---
Aros watched from atop the clocktower as the Nobodies chased Aaron down. He chuckled to himself as he watched the Dusks catch up to, and attack Aaron. "Hah, those husks sure were easy to control. Now show me if you deserve that Keyblade." This was perfect for Aros. If those twins died, then that would be 2 fewer problems for
him. If they survived, they would be perfect for his plans. Aaron stumbled as a Dusk got in a lucky shot. Aros laughed once more, he expected as much. "And so the light flickers in the face of nothing."

---
From the shadows, a girl watched as the Dusks attacked Aaron. Her face was mostly hidden by her white hood and coat, but a single strand of ice-blue hair could be seen hanging in front of her face. She winced as A Dusk got in a lucky shot on Aaron, but she couldn't directly interfere, not until she was sure who was doing this. Enough damage had been done by her interference already. Turning away from Aaron, she raised her hand, opening a swirling portal of darkness. She swept through the black portal and dissappeared.

Daniel spun around to find himself facing a girl with blond hair, in a simple, white dress. She had a smile on her face, and Daniel couldn't help feeling he'd seen her before. "Who are you?" He asked, getting ready to summon his keyblade, just in case.

"I am, well, I was, Naminé." The girl smiled, walking around the table with a carefree stride. Something about her seemed... Off. As if she wasn't physically there.

"Was?"

"Now I'm no more than a memory, a figment left behind from my former self." With this she walked through a chair, and Daniel took a step back. "But you'd be used to memories now, wouldn't you, Daniel?"

Daniel narrowed his eyes, and said, "How do you know about that? And how do you know my name?" Daniel had an odd gift, something really only Aaron knew about. If Daniel touched something, or came very close to something, he sometimes would see fragments of people's memories that were related to that object. He didn't know how it worked, but it could be quite annoying.

"I used to work with memories, I know all about it, and you." Naminé replied, before she smiled some more, and said, "If you want the full story, come back with your twin. I'll explain it all then." Naminé faded, the flickered out of existence.

At the same time, he heard a whooshing noise behind him, and he spun to see a black and purple portal appear out of nowhere. Daniel felt a tug, and guessed his twin was on the other side of the portal. Summoning his keyblade, Daniel ran through, not turning back to see the girl in the white coat.

***

Daniel ran out of the portal, only to stop immediately, so as not to fall off the edge of a tall tower. Looking down, he saw several white shapes attacking a familiar shape, wielding a white weapon. Aaron! Daniel thought, and taking a deep breath, Daniel jumped off the tower, angling himself downwards towards the white shapes.

As Daniel landed, he slashed at one of the white figures which was just about to sneak up on Aaron. He tapped his twin on the shoulder, and said, "It seems like you need my help. Funny, that." He smiled at his twin, who had turned to look at him, and then, nodding to Aaron, Daniel spun, and took his normal fighting stance. "Come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough." Daniel taunted, launching forwards into the creatures.

OoC: Tanith Low reference yeah!

Aaron fell to one knee as the strange white creatures continued to bear down on him. He panted as he got back up. He shackily leveled his keyblade at the creatures, ready to make a last stand. Suddenly something dropped from the sky, destroying a creature that had snuck up behind Aaron. It was Daniel!

Daniel tapped his twin on the shoulder, and said, "It seems like you need my help. Funny, that." He smiled at his twin, who had turned to look at him.

"Help? You just lost me the element of surprise you jerk!" Aaron said smirking.

Daniel spun, and took his normal fighting stance. "Come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough." Daniel taunted, launching forwards into the creatures.

Aaron laughed and ran in behind Daniel, with the two of them together the white creatures didn't stand a chance. Soon the creatures were little more than a few puffs of white smoke. One last creature tried to sneak up on Daniel from behind, but Aaron was more than ready, disapatching it. "Hey, watch your back, huh? I'm not always gonna be hear to save your butt!" he said, smiling.

"Good advice, consider it yourself sometime!" Aaron found himself flying forward, his back exploding in pain, as Aros struck him from behind. You two are starting to get really annoying you know that? Like the world's most annoying pair of roaches." he said, repositioning himself to attack.

In no time at all, the creatures had become little more than white smoke. A creature had attempted to sneak up on Daniel, but was quickly dispathced by Aaron. "Hey, watch your back, huh? I'm not always going to be here to save your butt!" Aaron smiled. Daniel couldn't help but laugh. With him and Aaron working together, the creatures stood no chance.

"Good advice, consider it yourself sometime!" a voice said, and suddenly Aaron went flying. Daniel turned to see Aros, keyblade out, smiling sadistically. "You two are getting really annoying, you know that? Like the world's most annoying pair of roaches." Aros repositioned himself, ready to attack.

Daniel loked at his twin, who was slowly getting to his feet. Nothing appeared to be overly injured, so Daniel looked back to Aros. Daniel felt anger flooding through him for the second time in a while. He felt something shift inside of him, and all of a sudden, he felt as if power was at his fingertips.

Summoning his keyblade, Daniel took a battle stance. Something dark started to drift off of him, but he payed it no heed. All he cared about at the moment was hurting Aros. Launching himself forward, Daniel unleashed a flurry of strikes with his keyblade. Aros managed to block all of his attacks, but he found himself unable to keep up.

Despite the fact Aros was being beaten, he saw a look of happiness on his face, like a child who had just found out he was getting a present more than he expected. Daniel stored this in the back of his mind, and dealt a heavy blow. Aros flew backwards, and fell onto the ground. Feeling the lest bit of anger leave him, Daniel shouted, "And stay down!", as the pool of energy he felt before became blocked off again.

Turning back, Daniel started walking to Daniel who had risen onto his knees. "Hey Aaron, nothing hurt? Are you alri-" Daniel was cut off by a searing pain in his back, and the sharp feeling of something breaking. Daniel flew forwards, and landed heavily on the ground. Looking back, Daniel saw Aros standing behind him, Keyblade held in a position of triumph.

Aros lunged towards the twins, but a figure stepped out of a portal and blocked Aros' blow with a keyblade. This figure was dressed in a white cloak, just like Aros, but their hood was up. Their keyblade was an ivory white with a heart shaped guard. The blade was two poles that intersected each other in a double helix with a third running down the middle, and the teeth were shaped like Aaron's keyblade's teeth.

They shouted something, but Daniel was focussing too much on the pain in his back to hear it. Aaron nodded, grabbed Daniel, and pulled him through the portal the figure had created.

They were in a different world, Daniel could tell that much. In front of them was a tower, and surrounding them were bushes, and an expanse of purple sky. The ground ended a few feet away from them, giving way to the void. Aaron walked forward, and laughed something. Daniel smiled weakly, and, trying to ignore his pain, walked forwards. However, he felt another sharp pain in his back, and he cried out, falling to his knees. Daniel felt something warm trickling down from where Aros had slashed him, and he suddenly felt worried.

Looking up at his twin, Daniel gasped out, "A-aaron... Help, p-please..." Nodding, Aaron slung Daniel's arm around his shoulder to support him. "Thanks, Aaron.." Daniel murmured, before they both set off for the tower.

OoC: Slightly bluh post, but hey. I did my best.

Aaron groaned as he slowly got up from Aros' sneak attack. Despite the pain in his back he wasn't too badly injured. As he got to his knees, he could hear the sounds of swords clashing again and again. Daniel was brutally attacking Aros, forcing him on the defensive. There was a strange black smoke coming off of him, and he was fighting more fiercely than he'd ever seen before. He managed to knock Aros back, ordering him to stay down as the black smoke seemed to disappear.

Aaron kneeled catching his breath, his eyes closed. As Daniel approached, he asked,"Hey Aaron, nothing hurt? Are you alri-" before he was cut off. Aros had recovered and attacked Daniel from behind, his keyblade leveled at them triumphantly.

The figure spoke, her voice obviously female, "Go through the portal! The wizard at the tower there will be able to help you, Yen-Sid. I'll hold off Aros." She leveled her keyblade at Aros, whom looked surprised.

Aaron nodded, "Thanks, but who are-"

"Go!" she commanded as she attacked Aros. Aaron grabbed Daniel and they both passed through the portal. The twins safely away from Aros, she turned her full attention on him. They blocked and parried each other's blows like a practiced dance. Fighting to a standstill.

Aros laughed, pausing for a second. "Ha Ha Ha! Look who finally decided to come crawling out of the woodwork. Enjoying our time playing hide-and-seek?" Aros said, smiling.

"I was keeping an eye on you. Just what are you after with thosse two Aros?" she asked, slightly lowering her keyblade.

Aros smirked, shrugging his shoulders. "Oh wouldn't you like to know? Sorry 'Nemi' but it's no fun if I tell you the answer to the puzzle." Aros opened a portal, and began to dissappear. The girl tried to pursue but was too slow.

Hearing the old pet name had been like a knife through the heart, and fighting Aros wasn't helping the ache. But at least she had figured part of his plan, those twins. He was testing them, but she had know idea why. She would have to help them again if she could.
---

They were in a different world, Aaron could tell that much. In front of them was a tower, and surrounding them were bushes, and an expanse of purple sky. The ground ended a few feet away from them, giving way to the void. Aaron laughed gesturing to the cloudy void, "Hey, you think this is the right tower, or maybe it's that other one?" Instead of a laugh, Aaron heard Daniel cry out in pain as he fell to the ground. Aaron rushed over placing his hand on his brother's back feeling something wet and warm.

Looking up at his twin, Daniel gasped out, "A-aaron... Help, p-please..." Nodding, Aaron slung Daniel's arm around his shoulder to support him. "Thanks, Aaron.." Daniel murmured, before they both set off for the tower. The tower seemed to go on forever, an endless sea of stairs. With every step Daniel seemed to get paler and making Aaron feel sick. Finally, they reached a large study with a severe looking man in blue robes with a grey beard sitting behind a large desk.

Before Aaron could open his mouth to explain, the man said," I already know, Aaron. Bring him here." The man gestured to a small chair by the desk. Aaron brought Daniel over and sat him down. With a wave of his hand, the man made several glowing leaves dance around Daniel, seemingly healing him. The man introduced himself, "I am the wizard Yen-Sid. I am aware of the hardships you two have had to endure to arrive here. I will answer your questions and try to aid you in what ways I can."

Aaron had a thousand questions, but for starters he asked what the creatures that attacked them were. Yen-sid explained that the black creatures from the islands were called Heartless, creatures created when a heart is consumed by darkness. He also explained that the white creatures, Nobodies, were the shells left behind when a heartless was created.

Aaron's next question was about Aros, who was he? Yen-Sid sighed, "Unfortunately, he is a mystery to me. I do not know much of him. What I do know, is that he is a creature the likes of which have not been seen before. He calls himself a Twilight, and seems to have the power to weild both light and darkness. His keyblade also seems to have the power to convert certain creatures into twilights as well, like the creature you two battled, Boundary."

Aaron sighed, that didn't tell them much, "What about the girl that helped us? Who was she?" Aaron asked.

Yen-Sid shook his head, "Until she intervened to aid you, I did not know of her existence. At the very least she seems to be an ally."

The leaves dancing around Daniel disappeared, leaving him looking fully revitalized. Yen-Sid turned to the two, "I fear the two of you will soon have to embark on a quite a perilous journey. I will try my best to prepare you. Go through that door there. The three fairies there will give you something to aid you, then return to me."

The stairs inside the tower seemed endless to Daniel, with several different levels and connecting staircases. Every step he took he felt weaker, and by the time they reached the top he had started to shake, and was on the verge of fainting. The man in the study at the top said something to Aaron, and Daniel felt himself collapse into a chair.

All of a sudden, glowing leaves surrounded him. The green light that emanated from them seeped into him, and Daniel felt himself gradually getting better. He heard a few words from the conversation between Aaron and the man, such as 'Heartless', 'darkness', 'shells', and 'Aros'. He started trying to focus more on the conversation, as he felt his ribs becoming whole again. The last thing he heard was, "At the very least she seems to be an ally."

The leaves that were dancing around Daniel vanished, and Daniel noticed he felt like he did before Aros attacked - healthy, fit, and a whole lotta pissed. The man - Yen-Sid, as Daniel managed to catch - turned towards the both of them, and said, "I fear the two of you will soon have to embark on quite a perilous journey. I will try my best to prepare you. Go through that door there. The three fairies will give you something to aid you, then return to me." Yen-Sid waved his hand at the door off to the side, and it swung open, like magic.

Daniel got up, and walked towards the open door. Nodding to Aaron as they passed through, he whispered, "Tell me what I missed. Later though." Aaron nodded, and they passed onwards to where the fairies were.

As Daniel walked into the room, and saw that there was no-one there. The room appeared empty, with only a chair and a small table in the centre. Around the room were different objects, each covered by a cloth embroidered with stars. Deciding to look around, Daniel went to one of the objects, and lifted the cloth. Looking into the mirror, Daniel noticed something different. His clothes had changed, and were now a dark red, like dried blood. Deciding something was wrong with the mirror, Daniel looked to see if any of the others were different.

The mirror after the first one showed him with purple clothes, and something seemed different about his feet. The next one his clothes were a dark yellow, which seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. The next one seemed stronger than the rest. In this one, his clothes were a dark silver, seeming to shimmer with a type of darkness. Some two bits of dark fire were circling around his body in a crossing pattern, and his feet were engulfed by this fire. Shaking his head, he moved onto the last mirror.

What he saw took his breath away. His clothes were now a deep black, the kind that help your gaze, stopping you from looking away. But that wasn't what scared him. In the mirror, his skin was an inky black, like the skin of the Heartless. His eyes were glowing yellow, and streams of darkness were coming off his body. He was about to call out to his brother, when he heard a polite cough. Both he and Aaron whirled around from where they were, to see three women, dressed in red, green and blue, standing there.

"We see you're here." Said the lady in red, and she smiled, "I am Flora. This is Fauna, and Merryweather." She said, and the other two fairies waved and smiled. "Yen-Sid asked us to give you some new clothes. Now, let's have a look." Suddenly, the fairies pounced at Daniel, and dragged him away from the mirror. They started fussing around him, muttering and pulling, and Daniel heard things like, "Disgraceful!" "Look how dirty it is!" "Ripped and tattered..." "This won't do!" "No Merryweather, we are NOT making his clothes blue." "He takes no care of his clothes at all!" Looking at his brother, Daniel saw that he was laughing, so Daniel shot him a scowl. Then, without warning, they stood back, and in sync with each other, waved their wands at Daniel. Three jets of light shot out at him, hit his clothes, and started to work.

Once the light had dissipated, Daniel looked down at himself, and gasped. His clothes had completely changed, now looking like the clothes he had seen in the mirror. His t-shirt had gone, and had been replaced with a dark purple, sleeveless shirt, with a zipper going down the middle. Over this was an unzipped black jacket, with short, t-shirt length sleeves. His right hand was wrapped in black cloth, making it seem like it was bandaged. His shorts had been transformed into a pair of Trousers, which were black, but at the knees was a thick stripe of purple. The trousers were held by a chain, circling around his waist, going through the belt straps, and not feeling all that heavy. His shoes had been replaced with new, purple ones, and they felt comfortable. Turning around to look in a mirror that the fairies conjured up, Daniel saw that the back of his jacket had a purple, kite shaped gem, like the one on his Keyblade's hilt. He now had a black wristband on his right wrist, and when he checked, his black crown necklace was still there.

"Cool..." he muttered before walking over to his brother. He grinned sadistically at him, and said, "Your turn." before spinning around him, and pushing him into the waiting criticism of the fairies.

OoC: Yay~ Daniel gets a wardrobe change~ I made it as imaginative as I could, taking inspiration from both Sora AND Riku's clothes.

Aaron made no attempt to hide the laugh he was having at his brother's expense. Watching the three fairies fuss over Daniel, commenting on the terible condition of his clothes and pulling him this way and that was oddly hilarious. Daniel caught him snickering and shot him a scowl. Aaron smiled and simply shrugged his shoulders as if to say, 'You're on your own bro.' Suddenly, the fairies waved their wands in unison and aimed them at Daniel, showering him with three jets of light.

His old clothes had been completely transformed into a new, dark set of clothes. Aaron thought they looked pretty good too.
As Daniel walked towards Aaron, he began to try complimenting Daniel's new look. However, Daniel grabbed him, grinning sadistically and said, "Your turn!" pushing Aaron towards the fairies.

The fairies descended on him like flies, tugging and pulling at his beat up clothes the same as they had done before. "Look how dirty this is!""Absolutely dreadful!""It's even worse than his brother's!""So much to do!"" I still say he'd look better in blue." Aaron looked to his brother only to get the same smile and the same shrug.

Once again, the fairies waved their wands in unison, bathing Aaron in a flash of light. As the light subsided, Aaron looked down at himself and was completeley amazed. His new outfit was similar to Daniels, but still very different. He was now wearing a white vest, with t-shirt sized sleeves. It was unzipped, showing a sunset-gold shirt with short sleeves underneath. He was also wearing a pair of long, white pants but around mid-thigh, the white changed into a pale gold. He was also wearing a pair of white sneakers with golden accents. On his left wrist was a white wristband, and his white crown necklace hung from his neck as it always had. On his back was a symbol similar to the intricate heart on his keyblade's guard.

The red fairy, Flora, fluttered forward, "Now dears, these aren't any ordinary clothes. They're filled with magical abilities, many of which you will have to discover for yourselves. For now each of you take these orbs." she said, waving her wand producing a pair of glowing orbs, hovering in the air. Aaron took hold of one and there was an explosion of light. His clothes had transformed again. Now they were a rich blue. His keyblade felt much lighter in his hand and he could feel a strange power filling it. He also seemed to be floating the tiniest fraction above the ground. The blue fairy, Merryweather, explained that this first form was a reflection of it's user, "This is wisdom form, it's speciality is magic and ranged attacks." Looking down at his clothes and keyblade, Aaron wondered if Yen-Sid could show them some magic before they left.

The green fairy, Fauna, turned to Daniel next,"Alright now deary, now it's your turn. Take the orb." she said, gesturing to the glowing ball. Aaron watched expectantly, wondering what his brother's new form would be.

Daniel was impressed by his brother's new clothes, but he was even more impressed by his... Wisdom form? The green Fairy, Fauna, turned to Daniel and said, "Alright now deary, it's your turn. Take the orb." She gestured to the yellow orb floating in front of Daniel. Wanting to see what this form looked like, Daniel reached out, and grabbed the yellow orb.

A similar explosion of light burst forth, except this one was laced with purple. Looking down at his clothes, Daniel grinned. They were the exact same as the ones he saw in the first mirror. Where his clothes were originally black, it was now a dark red, the colour of dried blood. Where his clothes were originally purple, the were now a bright red, like fresh blood. His belt was now transformed, the links replaced by a strange symbol, instead of the regular chain links.

Blood? Really? I'm not THAT morbid. Daniel thought, commenting on his choice of colours.

Suddenly, Daniel noticed that he was carrying something in his left hand. Holding it up, he gasped. He was now carrying Aaron's keyblade, except... Looking over at Aaron, Daniel saw he still had his. Returning his gaze to his second keyblade, Daniel saw it was different. The white on it wasn't as vibrant, and the feathers on the guard looked tattered, and dirty. The yellow on the teeth wasn't so bright, and the heart connecting the guard, the handle, and the shaft appeared cracked.

Daniel was snapped out of his observations by the green fairy's - Fauna's - voice. "This form is called Valor Form. It specialises in strength and close-combat. It also gives you the ability to wield a second keyblade fluently. However..." She said the last bit with confusion.

"What is it?" Daniel asked, slightly worried. The red fairy, Flora, spoke up.

"Your drive form seems different. Normally, your clothes would be much brighter, and your keyblade as well. But your clothes seem tainted by something..." Flora shook her head. "Now that you have your clothes, you should see Master Yen-Sid. He might be able to shed some light on the situation. You can return to your normal forms by focussing on them, and likewise for your drive form."

Daniel nodded, then focussed his thoughts on his normal - well, new - clothes. The Flash of light returned, still laced with purple, and Daniel was in his new clothes. Nodding to Aaron, who had done the same, he thanked the fairies, and walked to the door to Yen-Sid's room.

Tainted? Daniel thought, worried.

As Aaron and Daniel returned to Yen-Sid's study, Aaron couldn't ignore the feeling forming in the pit of his stomach. Daniel's actions on the islands, his battle with Aros, and now his drive form being tainted. Something was happening to Daniel and the prospect of what it might be terrified Aaron. As they stood before the wizard again, Yen-Sid said, "I see the fairies were able to give you your new clothes, but something seems to be troubling you." The twins explained about Daniel's drive form and how the fairies mentioned it being tainted. The wizard closed his eyes in thought for a moment, then spoke again, "I have seen similar situations, but for it to directly affect your drive form it must be very strong. I believe that Daniel's heart has a very poweful darkness inside it."

At this Aaron gasped, "B-But hearts full of darkness become Heartless! Does that mean...?" Looking at his brother, he couldn't finish the terible thought.

"That is different. Rage, pain, greed, cruelty, these emotions allow a heart to be consumed by darkness and create Heartless. However, there have been those with strong hearts who can resist and even weild this darkness. Your keyblade, Daniel is proof of this. Oblivion is a keyblade of darkness and it chose you to be ir's weilder. But you must be careful, for one of darkness it is very easy to get lost in the power you wield. It is good you have a strong light." Yen-Sid said looking at Aaron.

"Wait... you mean me?" Aaron asked, bewildered. He hadn't shown any special abilities like Daniel had. He hadn't blown away the Heartless in a flash of light or glowed when fighting.

Yen-Sid gestured towards Aaron, "Your own keyblade should be proof enough. Oathkeeper is a keyblade of pure light for it to choose you as its weilder your light would have to match your brother's, just as Oblivion and Oathkeeper match each other."

Aaron quietly let out a sigh of relief that he had been holding for awhile. His brother wasn't going to turn into a monster, but something was still bothering him. Back on the islands when it was being swallowed by darkness, Daniel had seemed drawn to it. It was like he was drunk on it. Aaron wondered if Daniel had already started to begin to lose himdelf to darkness. At that moment he made a silent vow, if his light was as strong as Daniels's darkness then he'd beat it back to protect his brother.

As they walked into Yen-Sid's room, he asked what was wrong. Both of them explained what the fairies had said, and Yen-Sid became quiet for a moment. Speaking up, Yen-Sid said, "I have seen similar situations, but for it to directly affect your drive form it must be very strong. I believe that Daniel's heart has a very poweful darkness inside it."

"Darkness?" Daniel asked, bewildered.

Aaron gasped. "B-But hearts full of darkness become Heartless! Does that mean...?" Aaron trailed off, and Daniel could tell he was looking at him. Daniel was thinking the exact same thing. Was he going to become one of them?

Yen-Sid appeared to sense their concerns, and said, "That is different. Rage, pain, greed, cruelty, these emotions allow a heart to be consumed by darkness and create Heartless. However, there have been those with strong hearts who can resist, and even weild this darkness. Your keyblade, Daniel, is proof of this. Oblivion is a keyblade of darkness, and it chose you to be it's weilder. But you must be careful, for one of darkness it is very easy to get lost in the power you wield. It is good you have a strong light." The last part was Directed at Aaron.

As Yen-Sid explained to Aaron that he had a powerful light, Daniel thought. If my heart is strong, I can use my darkness. Then, nothing could get in my way! he thought to himself, smiling. Then he was struck by a slightly scary idea. Back at the islands, I was drawn to the darkness... I need to be careful to not get lost in it.

He looked at Aaron, and saw that he had a familiar look on his face. It was the look that said he was prepared to do something, no matter what the cost. But if light harms the darkness... a little voice in his head spoke, maybe your brother isn't your biggest ally...

Daniel shook his head, banishing the thought. Aaron would always be his twin, and he would never leave him. Looking up at Yen-Sid, he said, "My darkness may be strong, but if my heart is also strong, I have nothing to worry about. So, what now?"

Yen-Sid nodded, and said, "Your light and darkness maybe very useful to you in fighting Aros. As he is targeting you, I fear that you may be best ones to try and uncover his plans. While the others protect the other worlds from the twilights he's created."

"Others?" the twins said in unison.

"Your friends, Sora and Riku, are both keyblade wielders, much like yourselves. An old student of mine, King Mickey, asked for their help to fend off the Twilights, which is why they left the island, along with Kairi."

"So they knew about the other worlds all along..." Daniel muttered, before grinning, "I'm surprised Sora kept his mouth shut for that long." he looked up at Yen-Sid, and asked, "So, where next?"

Yen-Sid smiled, and said, "Your next destination is a place called Radiant Garden. My student sent me a Gummi Ship for you to use in your travels. Safe journey, young Keybladers." he then waved a hand, and the sound of some sort of ship starting up echoed up from the outside.

Daniel nodded. "Thank you Yen-Sid. Come on Aaron." Daniel said, bowing to Yen-Sid, then walking to the doors, Aaron right beside him. He and Aaron would finally get to see other worlds! Daniel failed to keep the grin off his face.

"Thank you, Yen-Sid." Aaron and Daniel said at the same time, bowing to the wizard.

"Come on, Aaron." Daniel said as they walked towards the doors. He had a huge grin on his face, and Aaron knew exactly why. Despite the Heartless, the Nobodies, the Twilights, and Aros. Despite their awkward start, their dream of seeing other worlds was coming true. Aaron couldn't help grinning too.

As they exited the tower, Aaron got a good look at their new gummi ship. It had a large, blocky body with small triangular wings and was bright red. It had a large, diamond shaped nose and Aaron noticed a few blasters along the bottom. Aaron took off running, headed straight for the ship. As he climbed a small ladder on the underside of the ship, he turned back to his brother, "You waiting for a written invitation? Come on!" Aaron said, grinning as he climbed into the ship. Once Daniel entered the Gummi Ship, the twins took off towards Radiant Garden.
---
Soon the twins came to a world that looked like a small city. The ship's computer confirmed that it was Radiant Garden and they decided to land. They landed the ship in a back alley and walked out into a market place. "I think we should split up to try and find some info on the Twilights and Aros" Aaron said. Aaron approached a young woman in pink, with brown curls and a pink bow in her hair.

But, before he could ask her anything, several Heartless and Twilights surrounded them. He stepped in front of her and summoned Oathkeeper, "Stay behind me!" Aaron shouted out, "Daniel, we've got company!" The girl's eyes widened as she saw Aaron's Keyblade, as if she'd seen it before.

((OOC:Short post,but done finally.

The trip to Radiant Garden was breathtaking. It was beautiful, seeing all the star fly by, and Daniel knew that each and every one of them was it's own world, with it's own heros, villains, and gods. It was just like Daniel had dreamed. He had looked out the window the entire trip, leaving the ship on auto pilot. Although, to be perfectly honest, he couldn't wait until he got behind the controls.

Before long, however, they spotted Radiant Garden. As the twins landed, they decided to split up, going their separate ways. Before Daniel could go far, however, he heard Aaron shout out to him, and he instinctively summoned Oblivion as he spun around to face him. He saw Aaron and a girl with brown hair surrounded by Heartless and a strange black and white enemy. Daniel charged forward, and started attacking.

As he fought, Daniel managed to get a better look at the black-and-white enemies. They were the same size as the heartless wearing the odd helmets. They looked like lizards that walked on two legs, and they had super sharp front claws. They had the same pattern as boundary, except their eyes were a startling white, with a black cat-like pupil. When they were not attacking, they moved with odd jumps, and they always leaped to attack.

As they dispatched them, Daniel heard a strange, barking noise. He spun to see one of the Twilights, as he had guessed, running off. Not wanting anyone else to get hurt, he shouted to Aaron to find him later, and ran after the lizard. He ran through the streets, not paying attention to where he was going, until he finally cornered the Twilight in a dead-end alley. He quickly dispatched the lizard, and then looked around. He had officially no idea where he was.

He walked out of the alleyway, and was greeted by a girl, a year or so older than Riku, looking at him. "I'm impressed!" the girl said, energetically, "I've never seen someone chase after one of those with such determination!"

Daniel was surprised, and said, "And you are?"

The girl laughed, and said, "Me? I'm the master ninja Yuffie! And by the looks of that weapon you're holding, you're new to this world. Do you happen to know someone named Sora?"

"Sora!" Daniel exclaimed, "I do! Do you know where he is-" Daniel stopped himself. Right now, his first priority was to get info about the Twilights, and find Aaron. "Never mind. I have a few questions."

"About the lizard things? Sure! But first, I gotta introduce you to Leon. I'll talk to you on the way back." Yuffie then spun, and started walking away, humming. Surprised by the girl's energy. Daniel hesitated for a second, before banishing Oblivion, and running after the girl. It sounded as if she wasn't new to this...

OoC: Yeah, I posted. An as for the Twilight enemies, They're the Shadows of that enemy world, called Dawns. As for appearance, think a black-and-white Lizalfos, like from Skyward Sword (minus the whole clothing/mace tail)

As Daniel ran off after one of the Twilights, Aaron muttered, "Sure, just leave us here alone. Not like we were in trouble." As one last Twilight leapt at him, Aaron swung Oathkeeper straight up, reducing it to little more than smoke. Aaron turned to the girl in pink. "Are you ok? Hope those things didn't frighten you." Aaron said, kindly.

The girl simply smiled and cocked her head to one side. Without any sign of fear or anxiety, she said, "Oh, it's ok. I've gotten used to this sort of thing." Pointing at Oathkeeper, she asked, "Excuse me, but do you know someone named Sora? He-"

"Sora?! Yeah, I know him! He's a friend of mine! Do you know him?" Aaron asked enthusiastically. "Oh sorry. I haven't introduced myself, I'm Aaron." he added quickly.

"Nice to meet you, Aaron. My name is Aerith." she said politely. She continued, "Yes, I know Sora. He's come here before. He and Kairi were very worried about you and your brother."

"What about Riku?" Aaron asked

Aerith put her finger to her chin as she recalled what Riku said. "I think he said somwthing like ,'We don't need to bother worrying about those two.' I'm sure that was his own way of being worried." she added

Aaron sighed. At least he knew Aerith was being truthful. It was just like Riku to be that cold, or was that endearing coming from him? Regardless, Aaron tried to ask about the Twilights and gather some more info, but Aerith interupted him. "I know you must have questions, but could you please come with me? I'm sure Leon can answer them better than I can. He'll probably want to meet you and fill you in on what's going on as well."

"What about Daniel?" Aaron asked, pointing his thumb at the alley Daniel disappeared down.

Aerith looked in the direction of the alley and smiled,"A friend of mine went down that way, earlier. If he runs into her I'm sure he'll be in good hands. This way please." she called, leading him down a stairway into a residential area. She welcomed him to the headquarters of the Radiant Garden Restoration Comitee.

Daniel was walking alongside Yuffie, letting her take him wherever this 'Leon' person was. At the moment she was talking his ear off about some subject or another, but Daniel didn't really mind, having perfected the technique of zoning out but still look like he was listening. It was a godsend when he had to endure a day of Sora.

"Daniel?" Daniel was cut off from his thoughts when he heard his name.

"Yeah?" he replied, hoping he wasn't just caught.

"I said how long have you and your twin had the keyblade?" she said, smiling at him.

"Oh. Since about-" Daniel cut himself off. How long was he out after the island was swallowed? Mustn't be more than "A day, at least."

Yuffie whistled. "You must've picked it up very quickly." she said.

"Well, yeah. Aaron and I had toy sword we made ourselves, so we kind already knew how to fight."

There was a familiar sound, and Yuffie said, "Care to show me?" As quite a few heartless materialised around him. Grinning, Daniel summoned Oblivion, and dived into the enemy, slashing and creating puffs of smoke everywhere.

Yuffie laughed at Daniel's enthusiasm, before pulling out a large Shuriken, and throwing it at the heartless. What surprised the part of Daniel that wasn't fighting the most however, was Yuffie pulling her hand back, and the Shuriken appearing back in it. He decided to ask about it later, as he cleaved through another shadow.

***

"So, Yuffie." Daniel said, panting slightly as he recalled Oblivion. "How did you do that whole throwing thing?"

"Throwing thing?" Yuffie echoed, puzzled. "Oh! Strike raid! It's easy!" she grinned, before throwing her shuriken down the street they were currently located, and making it reappear in her hand. "All you really do is throw your weapon, and then use a little bit of magic to summon it back to your hand. It should be a cinch for you, seeing as you can recall your Keyblade with no effort at all."

"Oh... Okay... Let's try it." Daniel summoned Oblivion yet again, before throwing it as hard as he could in the same direction as Yuffie had. As it spun through the air, Daniel felt it tug on him, until he mentally yanked back on the tug, causing the keyblade to fly back to him, with him easily catching the handle, causing only a bit of recoil.

"If you practice enough, you can mix some magic in with it." Yuffie said, before looking around. "I actually think Aerith is close by..." she muttered, Daniel looking at her questioningly. "She's a friend of mine. She'll probably be on her way back to Merlin's Place so let's wait here for her!

OoC: Gah, sorry for lateness and anything bad about the post. I just wanted to continue the story so it doesn't die, and let Daniel learn a new move.

Aerith led Aaron to one of the houses in particular. She motioned to the house and said, "This is our headquarters. Leon and the others should be abe to answer any-" Aerith was interuppted by a whooshing sound as a few heartless appeared around them. Aaron summoned Oathkeeper and stepped in front of Aerith. Before Aaron could attack however, lighting dropped from the sky, destroying the heartless.

"W-what was that?!" Aaron asked, amazed.

"It was probably Merlin. He doesn't really like the heartless walking around outside his house." Aerith replied, knocking on the door to the house.

As Aaron entered the house, he was surprised by the conflicting interior. On one side, there was a small mountain of books and a small table with a tea set on top. On the other, there was a massive computer making various beeps and pings. At the table, was an old looking man in long, blue robes. His silver beard reached almost to the floor. He reminded Aaron a little of Yen-sid. Aerith waved at the man and said, "Hello Merlin, how are you? Do you know where Leon is?"

Merlin repied, "I'm doing very well my dear, and I believe Leon stepped out. He said he was going to check on something." Merlin turned to Aaron and said, smiling, "Ah Aaron, just on time! Sit down sit down, before the tea gets cold!"

Aaron sat down across from Merlin. He asked, "Um, how do you know my-"

"Your name? Oh that was simple, I am a wizard after all, but you were almost late you know? Daniel is very late already. It's impolite to keep an old man waiting." Merlin said.

Aaron was being slightly overwhelmed by the old wizard, all the new information was a bit much. As he picked up a teacup, which had filled itself with tea, he asked, "Mr. Merlin, how did you do that to the heartless?"

Merlin replied, "Oh thunder? It's a simple spell. I'm sure you could do it as well." Merlin waved his hand and a book fell into Aaron's lap. It was a spellbook. Aaron read through it, trying to learn as many of the spells in its pages as possible. As Aaron continued to read, there was a rapid knock on the door.

Merlin clapped his hands together, "Ah, it's about time they arrived!" Merlin exclaimed.

Yuffie and Daniel were talking a bit more, when all of a sudden, a lightning bolt flew out of nowhere nearby, startling Daniel, but just making Yuffie smile. "That would be Merlin. Aerith is probably already there, so let's get going!" she said, before walking off, causing Daniel to follow.

They walked along happily, idly chatting, until they finally reached a house that seemed a tad different from the others. Yuffie knocked rapidly on the door, which then opened by itself, she skipped inside, and said hello to the girl from earlier - Aerith, Daniel guessed, and an old man in a blue robe that looked like a happy version of Yen-Sid. Daniel also saw his brother avidly reading a book, so he leaned on his chair and read over his shoulder, as they were both used to doing.

Daniel was slightly confused by all the different spells and descriptions, so he just focused on one, remembering Yuffie's comment on charging his attacks with Magic. Looking at a picture of a man with a book firing a fireball out of his hand, Daniel read the accompanying description. Fire. One of the most basic spells that a mage, or any magic-user should be able to learn. With enough training and practice, one would be able to cast higher versions of this spell, such as Fira, and Firaga. Can be used as either a projectile or as a protective ring, and may even be used to power up weapons. Daniel read the description on how to cast it, and nodded. He would have to try that out later.

"Hey Aaron." he said, patting his twin on the shoulder, even though he was quite certain that he was already aware of him. "Learned anything useful?"

Aaron poured over the book trying to take it all in. There were so many kinds of spells! If he could use these, he'd be much stronger. He became vaguely aware of Daniel reading over his shoulder, as usual.
"Hey Aaron, learn anything useful?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah! All these spells, I could really put these to use in a fight." Aaron replid, not taking his eyes off of the pages. As Aaron commited as many of the spells to memory as possible, he closed the book looking up. He looked at Merlin and asked, "Weren't we supposed to meet this Leon guy? Where is he?"

Merlin began, "Well I'm not entirely sure. He said he was going to check on something, but he should have-" Merlin was interrupted by the front door swinging open with a bang. A muscular, gruff looking man stood in the doorway, panting.

"L-Leon's... he's in trouble." The man managed to gasp before collapsing.

The girl who'd brought Daniel, Yuffie, cried, "Sid!" before running to the man's side and sitting him up. Aerith walked over to the man and muttered something. Glowing, bell-like flowers appeared over the man, apparently healing and revitalizing him. He stood up slowly thanking Aerith. Yuffie nearly knocked the man over again, "What'd you mean Leon's in trouble!?" she demanded.

The man gave her a stern look, "Calm it down Yuffie! Gettin' all riled up won't help nobody. Yeah Leon's in'it bad. That Sora look-alike is a lot tougher'n we thought." Sid said, he looked worried for Leon.

Aaron nearly jumped out of his chair, it couldn't be. Aros was already here? Aaron described Aros in more detail and his heart fell as Sid nodded, confirming his fears. Sid continued, "We'd seen him with them white things a few times, figured he might know something. Leon'n me decided to follow him 'n figure out what he was after. He was headed to Maleficent's old haunt when he found us out. Leon'n me thought we could take'im on, but then these... things showed up. They looked like heartless, but they was way stronger." Sid took a breath, composing himself, then continued, "Leon told me to get outta there and git help. He managed to hold them fer abit, but he won't last forever."

Aaron and Daniel both got up, Oblivion and Oathkeeper appearing in their hands. "If Aros is involved, we're in!" Aaron turned to Daniel and nodded. Apparently, Aros had brought a few Twilights along as well.

Yuffie drew her shuriken and said, "Leon needs our help, we're definitely going to help!"

---

They all followed Sid to the ravine where they could see Leon trying to fight. They saw a man in black clothes with brown hair trying to fight off a wave of Dawns. The sword he was weilding was glowing with bright light and seemed to be immense. He collapsed to one knee as he vaporized the Dawns. Aros approached slowly, grinning like a predatos stalking downed prey. He raised his keyblade about to strike, when a puff of smoke interrupted him. Yuffie swung her shuriken at Aros, forcing him to jump back. Aaron and Daniel followed, leveling their Keyblades at Aros.

"Game's up Aros!" Aaron said threateningly.

Aros laughed, "Isn't that just like a pawn, to think they've won before the game's even begun." He snapped his fingers, summoning three large Twilights. "Have fun, I have other games to play." Aros said, walking away slowly. Yuffie and Leon claimed the large Twilight in the back, leaving Aaron and Daniel to take care of the other two.

Daniel frowned as Aros summoned the three large Twilights and disappeared. Readying his keyblade, Daniel looked at Aaron, and said, "You take out the one with the book. The shield dude's mine." At this, Daniel ran at the Twilight with the large shield. He swung at the heartless, but it moved it's shield to parry Daniel's attack, which bounced off, throwing Daniel off balance, and leaving him open to attack. It swung it's shield at him, but Daniel barely dodged, doing a small backflip to get out of harm's way.

This continued on for quite a while, until Daniel realised that he couldn't keep barely dodging. Sooner or later, the shield would connect, and Daniel would be in trouble. Thinking, Daniel realised that he couldn't defeat this Twilight with just one keyblade, and Aaron was out of the question as he was having enough trouble as is. Then Daniel realised. He did have two Keyblades. Daniel stopped, and held out his hand. Imagining the golden orb in front of him, Daniel shouted, "Valor Form!"

Daniel was surrounded by a burst of purple light, and Daniel closed his eyes. As he felt the light subside, he opened his eyes, feeling the weight of the Dark Oathkeeper in his other hand. Daniel swapped Oathkeeper over so that it was backwards, and didn't even question why. Rushing at the shielded Twilight, Daniel swung Oathkeeper at it, which it blocked, but quickly followed up with Oblivion, which knocked it's shield upward, leaving it open, and susceptible to Daniel's attacks. Daniel then proceeded to combo the creature, ending the combo, and indeed, the creature, with a dual slash, leaving it on the ground, slowly disappearing. Standing up, and realising he wasn't even panting, Daniel looked over to see how his twin was doing against his Twilight.

Daniel turned to Aaron and said, "You take out the one with the book. The shield dude's mine." Aaron nodded as Daniel ran at the shield twilight while Aaron attacked the twilight with the book. Aaron leapt into the air and swung Oathkeeper at the twilight, but the twilight fliipped through its book, summoning a blast of chilly wind. Aaron was blasted back by the spell. As he got up, he had to dodge another spell, this time a blast of lightning from above. This continued spell-after-spell. It was all Aaron could do to dodge the attacks, he couldn't even get close enough to attack.

Aaron rolled, dodging a fireball fired by the twilight. How was he supposed to beat this thing? He couldn't even get close to it. For him to have any chance at beating it, he'd have to be better at magic than it was. Wait, there was a way for him to boost his magic! Aaron imagined the feeling he felt when he changed form before, shouted, "Wisdom Form!"

In an explosion of bright light, Aaron's clothes changed to deep blue. A magical light danced around his feet as he hovered over the ground. Aaron began sliding around the twilight, showering it with a hail of magical bullets. The twilight tried to land a spell, but Aaron was too fast. He dodged under every fireball and lightning bolt. Aaron dashed towards the twilight, closing the distance in an instant. He spun, spawning searing flames from his keyblade as he cast a powerful Fire spell, frying the Twilight.
