Private/Closed King of the Fist

Janet looked at David's motion. 'He must be interested in the Grand Prix." She thought. " Friend of yours?" She asked.

Cullen nodded. "Yeah David is a member of the Phoenix gang." He said. "And the brother to someone who was very important to me." He took a sip of his drink. "Anyway Coco anything you want to write about." He said trying to get his mind off of his dead fiancee.

Mr. Genzo walked up to the good doctor. "If you or those blood suckers you work for try something you'll be in a world of hurt.

Coco paused for a moment, before writing in her notebook. She showed it to Cullen, and the message read. Not really. I was just going to ask what Janet just asked. Coco put the notebook down and took another bite. She looked around the room at all the other competitors. There still were quite a few people left, and many looked very skilled. Tomorrow was going to be tough. But now was time to relax and feast. Coco finished her plate, and a thought struck her. Picking up her notebook, Coco wrote another message. This one was for Janet. She showed the message to Janet. This food seems pretty high class, and I don't recognize much of it. Anything I should try?

Dr. Delta looked over at Mr. Genzo, a little surprised to see the old man. He bowed slightly.
"I assure you, I intend to cause no commotion during this. Allow me to say that I am not associated with... those 'blood suckers' over there, as you called them." Dr. Delta said, indicating the raptor and it's retainer. "My participation in this tournament is purely for personal enjoyment."
With that, Dr. Delta turned and walked away. He scanned the crowd, searching for someone in particular. One Akira Genzo...

Janet gently put her spoon to her lip as she thought. " Well sushi." She said as she picked up a piece of it. " depending on how it is prepaired is pretty good. There's also hamburgers made with real meat not that soy stuff they have scrubs eat, and lastly the soufflé for desert." She said pointing her spoon to the desert trey.

Cullen got up. " Would you both like anything?" He said he smiled at them.

Akira looked over to see Delta he raised his cup of Saki as he leaned in his chair. He turned to look at the contestants. He shook his head in disgust. He paid those damn Chameleons thousands of dollars to get rid of those worthless scrubs and they couldn't even do that right. Two were still involved. He leaned in his chair and took another sip of his drink.

Coco brightened, then wrote in her notebook. Some of the food Janet spoke of sounded familiar, and sounded pretty good. Well, now might be the only chance to try some of this stuff. She showed the message to Cullen.
Could you get me some sushi, please? And sofflea? The message read. Coco didn't quite know how to spell soufflé.

Delta's eyes finally fell on the person he was looking for. Akira Genzo. Just the man he was looking for. Delta nodded in return to Genzo's raising his glass, and began to make his way over to him.
"Mr. Akira Genzo. I don't believe we've been introduced yet. I am Dr. Delta Priscalla. It's a pleasure to make your aquatence. May I sit down?" Dr. Delta asked.

He nodded as he started to walk away. " He like you." Janet said with a smirk. "I can see it in his eyes." She said smiling at Coco as she continued to eat her food.

Cullen grabbed the food he stopped as he saw one of the waitresses eyeing him. he took the food carefully and walked back to Coco.

Akira noodled and used his foot to push a chair towards Delta. " Well Doc what do you want to talk about?" He asked.

David grabbed his food and sat beside the dinosaur. "So what is this lizard expose to be?" He asked as he looked up and down it. " I'm going to be fighting it soon."

Coco looked at Janet, confused.
What do you mean? Coco asked, in sign language. Just then, Cullen returned. Coco looked with interest at the food Cullen had brought back. One of which looked like some sort of fish on rice or something. But... the fish looked raw, or something? Wait, wasn't sushi supposed to be raw? So... this was sushi? Coco smiled gratefully at Cullen as she took some sushi, and cautiously took a bite.

Dr. Delta took a seat, then looked around the room before turning back to Akira.
"Your son, Lee Genzo. He was last year's winner, right? He's competing again, isn't he? You must be very proud." Dr. Delta said. He took a sip of his drink. "Are you competing as well?"

She gently tapped Coco's shoulder than signed "Look at how he looks at you." She signed. She finished off her food and put it back.

Cullen took a bite of his own sushi. It tasted weird but somehow good. He looked at Janet's hand movements He didn't know any sign language except for the one finger salute but he didn't think that would be appropriate. "What do you think?" He asked Coco. "About the food."

" yes I'm proud because my son can beat people up." He said rolling his eyes. " No I never got into it. I can do well in a fight, probably better than most here but numbers are my specialty and making sure I do what is needed for the future." He said as he took a sip of his Saki. " Tell me do you have any connections to the higher ups for the corporation you work for?" He asked.

Coco was still confused about what Janet was trying to say, even after her clarification. She took another bite of the sushi, then turned to Cullen when he spoke up. Wiping her hands on her shirt, Coco quickly wrote her response in her notebook and showed it to Cullen.
It's really, really good. A lot better then the food packets back in District S, to be sure. It's yummy! The message read. Coco smiled, watching Cullen for his response and trying to figure out what Janet meant. Look at how he looks at you...

Meanwhile, back at Dr. Delta and Akira Genzo's table, the doctor raised an eyebrow. That was a bit of an unexpected question...
"Why yes... I believe that I am the higher up. It's not very well known, but I'm head of Pharmaceutical Development at Disney. I didn't have a say about bringing the lizard thing in, in case you ask. I don't even know what it is." Dr. Delta said. He glanced over at the creature and Cage, then back to Akira. "Why, out of curiosity, do you ask?"

He looked at her with soft eyes. " That's good to hear." He said He let out a breath. " Heck it's a lot better than the stuff they served at my district." He smiled at her as he gently grazed his eyes over her seeing the beauty she was. " Anyways I wish you both luck tomorrow. Do you both know anything about your opponents?

Akiria made sure no Genzo spies were watching. " Let's just say that in less than a two years your corporation will have complete control over Genzo. If you agree to my terms." He said as he took a bite of his food. "Sound interesting?"

Coco caught it. She watched Cullen's eyes as he watched her. His eyes... Coco found herself getting lost in them. The way he looked at her, she was pretty sure no one had looked at her like that before. It took a few seconds for the mute competitor to realize that Cullen had just asked a question, and she scrambled for her notebook. An unexplicable blush came across her face again, and even Coco didn't know why as she wrote a response. She showed it to Cullen.
No. All I know is that he's called "Piranha" Pete. He looks a bit strange as well, but I haven't been able to see him fight. The message read. But as she showed Cullen the message, one thought was in Coco's mind. He... Likes me?

Delta was normally a man to keep a straight face and his reactions in check. But even he hadn't expected what Akira had just said to him. This was not what he had planned at all! Delta had approached Akira because he had known what Akira was doing with the Chameleons. He had known for quite a while, and had planned to use that info to help him secure Coco. But something much bigger then that had plopped on his plate.

Dr. Delta cleared his throat and pushed back his glasses, regaining his composure. He glanced nonsuspiciously around the room before respond.
"Well... That would be something I would have to take up with the CEO himself. I may be pretty high up, but I don't have enough power for... Those decisions." Dr. Delta said. He watched Akira carefully for his response. "I can say, however, that the CEO would be quite interested to hear your preposition..."

Janet excused herself from the table and gently tapped Coco's shoulder.
Cullen saw the blush 'She's blushing.' He thought He smiled. " Well I'm sure you'll beat the Piranha senseless." He said as he smiled at her giving her a warm smile. "Anyway." He tried to think of something to say to little avail.

Akira nodded. "Of course." He said He gave a little smirk. "So doctor what's your fascination with the Mute scrub. I think I'll help you with it."

Coco nodded, smiling softly as well. Cullen fell silent, and Coco wrote another message in her journal. She showed it to Cullen.
Thanks. What about your opponent? Who are you fighting? The message read.

Dr. Delta was able to keep cool this time, and merely adjusted his glasses again.
"My, 'fascination with the Mute scrub' as you put it, is none of your business. As I understand it... You have a bit of a pest problem." Delta said. He paused, taking a sip of his drink before continuing. "Is there anywhwre more... Private we could talk? Away from prying ears?"

"Boko." He said. " I wasn't able to watch his match earlier since we were in the same block." He said. " But it should be interesting non the less. Hey since there aren't anymore battles tonight would you like to get out of here. maybe take a walk around the beach?" He asked.

Akira nodded as he stood up. He motioned for Delta to fallow him as he walked to a more private area.

Coco smiled. That would be pretty nice. But her smile slowly turned to confusion was she noticed Cullen's current condition. Grabbing her notebook, she quickly wrote a message and showed it to Cullen.
I think that would be great! But what about you? Aren't you in a wheelchair right now? Coco wrote, a bit concerned.

Delta followed Akira, closing the door behind him. He may have underestimated this Genzo, and his intelligence, but that would not happen again.
"Let's cut straight to it, shall we?" Dr. Delta said, adjusting his glasses. "I may not be able to relay your preposition right now, but at this moment we can help each other. You want those scrubs out of the tournament. I want the mute, with no one noticing. Surely we can work together for the good of both parties?"

Okay." Cullen said, "I can roll around right beside you." He said smiling as he moved near her. "The doctor said that I should be able to walk soon anyway." He said

Akira nodded as he finished his drink. "What did you have in mind?" He asked as he leaned against a wall keeping his eyes on the man. Trying to figure out the man's actions.

So, Cullen was going to be well soon! That was good to hear. Really, healthcare for the Commonwealth seemed almost like magic to Coco. That someone that was stabbed could be up and around the next day was just incredible! If only it was like that back in District S. She had seen to many people die of things like easily preventable infections. But here, well... it almost seemed like these Commonwealth were living the dream. Coco pushed away her plate, clean of food, and stood up. The mute fighter wrote another message in her notebook, showing it to Cullen.
I'm going to my room to rest for a little bit. I'll meet you on the beach at 7. The message read. Coco smiled at Cullen and waved, before putting her notebook under her arm and heading to the fighter's private quarters.

"Simple." Dr. Delta said, walking over the table. He adjusted his glasses, then looked up at Akira. "I can make sure that neither of the scrubs make it to the finals. In return... I take the mute, and deliver your message."
Delta simply left it at that, watching Akira for his reaction. To be honest, with Akira's 'permission' or not Delta was going to take Coco anyway. Then again, Akira's assistance in providing a blind eye to the matter would be quite beneficial.

Cullen smiled and nodded before he watched her go. He decided it was time for him to leave the room and started to roll away only to be stopped by Lee. " Pheonix fist right?" Lee asked as he grabbed the arms of the wheel chair and started to move Cullen away.
"Yes, the third in command of my gang taught me it." He said. " Where are we going?"
"My grand farther would like some words with you. " Lee said he chuckled a little bit. "Apparently you have the same fighting style as a man he fought and drawed with in the first tournament when scrubs weren't automatically knocked out."

Akiria nodded. He took out his kindle pad and handed it to him. " Your mute is in this room. When they get knocked out she'll probably go back to her quarters take her then." He looked at the man. " You'll have fifteen minutes before the guard comes to escort her off the island."

Coco walked down the corridor leading to the fighter's quarters, her bare feet on the cool floor. The windows from the corridor provided a lovely view of the beach and ocean, which Coco couldn't help but to admire. She reached her room, and was pleased to find simple, yet comfortable living conditions. Coco entered the room, looking around. There was a full height mirror, and at that moment Coco realized she still had Cullen's jacket. Huh... She'd have to return it later. Coco took the jacket off and quickly changed into a non torn shirt. This tournament so far... was pretty fun! She's been meeting some interesting new people, and... Cullen.
She could hear her mother already.
What are you doing?! This is a competition, not some dating land! Still... surely it couldn't be that bad. And Cullen had said that he was fully experienced with taking on competitors he considered friends, and going all out. So if they met in the ring, Coco would go all out as well. Folding up Cullen's jacket, Coco put in on the dresser before getting some rest.

Delta accepted the kindle pad, putting it under his arm and nodding.
"Very well. I'll see you soon." Delta said. He turned and walked out of the room. Taking his phone out of his pocket, he dialed a number quickly.
"Hello?" Delta said into the phone, walking down the corridor to his quarters. "Yes. It's me. I'm sending you coordinates now. Send my yacht. And Team C. That will be all."

Akiria stood up and took a swig of his drink. 'Soon everything will fall into place." He thought. Soon enough he would have complete control over the company business and be able to make it last past his father's ridicules spending.

After talking with Old man Genzo Cullen went to his room and changed clothes into something more appropriate for beach walking. He knew that if they had to battle each other he would have to put his feelings to the side but for now he was glad he had someone he could talk to. After a quick change into a T shirt, shorts and sandals he walked over to Coco's room and knocked on the door.

Coco was resting when Cullen knocked on her door. The mute fighter got up and opened the door. She was pleasantly surprised to see that Cullen was already out of the wheelchair, and feeling well enough to walk. Coco smiled brightly, not quite sure what to do. A thought suddenly reached Coco and the mute went back into her room, retrieving her notebook and Cullen's jacket. As she headed back to the door, she wrote a message in her notebook and showed it to Cullen.
Your legs! You can walk again! The message read. Coco handed Cullen his jacket he had lended her as well.

He gently pushed the jacket back to her. " Keep it." He said as a small smile etched out his lips. " When this is all over you can have something to remember me by." He said. He rolled his neck before offering his hand to her. " Yeah my legs feel great. Guess that's one thing the common wealth has more than us scrubs. Good drugs." He said slightly chuckling. " Come on let's have a good time before we end up kicking each other's asses.

Cullen was going to let her keep the jacket? Coco smiled at the generous gift, and put in on the desk. Heading back to the door, Coco noticed Cullen had offered his hand. Coco hesitated for a moment. Was this really a good idea? Well, it didn't matter. It was only a walk, right? Right? Coco decided to take Cullen's hand. It was rough, but warm. Coco smiled at Cullen, and nodded. This was going to be fun.

Cullen smiled as he wrapped his hand around hers. He knew that this wasn't the best place to pick anyone up but he enjoyed Coco's company and if this might end up being the last time they get to spend together he was going to make it worth while. He lead her towards the beach as he stared at her. He figured he wasn't going to say much since it would probably just be him blabbering.

"Yes." Queen said as he looked at the screen. The third grand prix race ended as a woman with short blonde hair and the same eyes as Allen's appeared on the screen. " Nice job Liz." He said taking a celebratory drink. " the birds will rise again." He said now he would just have to somehow win four matches.

Bear claw walked into his room. He sat on the bed he moved a finger from his head to the left side of his chest fallowed by the right. "Please give me the strength I will need to combat my opponents. Please let me be the hero Emilio trained me to be. Win or lose I will praise you oh lord."

Janet was in her room reading medical articles. While she liked fighting her passion was in medicine. And some day she would fulfill her promise to her old friend Ken and make his home a better place.

Lee breathed slowly as he trained. He knew his opponent was the masked fighter from the Hazeron clan. He heard rumors about the clan. He was going to have to stay on guard during this fight.

Cage was passed out underneath his table from a little too much alcohol and Boko stayed beside the dinosaur talking to it trying to make friends with it.

The soft sound of the surf gently greeted Coco as the pair reached the beach. The feeling of sand between her toes made Coco smile. It was quite soft, and Coco really liked it. This was her first time being on a beach, and Coco could see why people really liked it. It was beautiful here. The setting sun reflected beautiful colors off the water, and it felt quite peaceful. This world was so different from the grunge of District S. It almost seemed like this was a different planet.

Brushing a strand of hair out of her face, Coco glanced up at Cullen. He was looking at her, not saying anything. Coco smiled shyly and glanced away.

He smiled as he put his arm around Coco enjoying the moment. He thought back to his own district realizing the vast differences of the common wealth. "I'm glad I could spend this time with you at such a beautiful place." He said.

Coco gently leaned on Cullen. In truth, she felt the same. If they weren't about to beat each other up in a match, and if they didn't have to go back to each of their homes after this competition, then maybe they would've had a chance. Cullen seemed nice, really nice for a scrub like her. Coco continued to watch as the sun sank into the sea, the shades of the sky slowly turning darker and deeper red. It really was one heck of a beautiful place.

He smiled. "I know in a few days we'll be heading back to our shit holes." He said . "Probably won't see each other again for maybe five years. But I am glad I was able to meet you." He said before moving closer to her and gently kissing her cheek.

Plastic man walked past two unconscious guards as he walked into a control room. "Sorry gents but I have a mission to do."
