The crowd roared as Nidoqueen literally lit up the stadium with its powerful thunderbolt. Riley tried to shield himself from all the lightning. "Charizard, use hidden power!" Riley commanded. Right power it was struck by the lightning, it sent out a blast of energy at the Nidoqueen. Charizard fell to the ground defeated but it's hidden power was ice. "Good job Charizard." Riley said as he recalled the Pokemon. "It's down too you." Riley said as he looked at his last pokeball. Everything he had worked for came down to this last battle and Riley was not going too lose. "Come out Jolteon." Riley said as he sent out the electric Pokemon. Everything was about too come down to one final attack and Riley knew that Jolteon only had one shot.

The crowd stood up on their feet to see the epic conclusion of the amazing battle. The ground beneath Jolteon shook and Riley barely got his command out in time. Jolteon was seemingly knocked into the air by the attack and all Riley could do was hope this attack could end it. "Jolteon, hidden power!" Riley shouted. Jolteon did a backflip midair and then fired a powerful energy blast at the Nidoqueen. Unfortunately for the Nidoqueen, Jolteon's hidden power was also ice.
Jolteon used another hidden power to counter the sludge bomb, causing a mini explosion. "Jolteon, finish it now!" Riley told Jolteon. The Pokemon nodded before running into the explosion. As soon as the smoke cleared, the crowd saw Jolteon jump in front of the Nidoqueen before firing off another hidden power.
The Nidoqueen pushed the Jolteon a little out of the way so the attack didn't land but made it look like it did. Nidoqueen moved a little bit before falling down defeated. " Return." Cortez said. He looked at Riley and smiled a little bit. " That was a good match." He said. " Well done winner."
For a second, the whole stadium was silent. Riley was still trying too process what just happened. "We-we won." Riley managed to say as he looked at Jolteon. The Jolteon nodded as it walked up to Riley and rubbed it's head against his leg. Riley picked up Jolteon and lifted it into the air. "We fucking won!" Riley shouted. The whole crowd erupted as Riley did this and they all cheered him on. Riley looked over to Cortez and gave him a nod of respect. He had a feeling that this wouldn't be that last time he saw him. "That's it folks! Riley is now the winner of the Kanto League Tournament!"
Zack, though in the middle of conversation, turned all attention to the TV screen, showing the victory had gone too Riley. The crowd was roaring so loud that he couldn't hear the announcer or even anything going on in the room. He really didn't know how to react to that, seeing as he was really pissed at Riley at the moment. But he guessed it was better than Cortez winning in the long run.
"Well I guess that settles it. Riley won, guess there's always Johto eh?" He asked, trying to see the bright side.

Layla was confused at Hazel's request before she realized she had her hand in a death grip. She let the poor girl with an apologetic look. "Crap, sorry. Caught up in the battle I guess." She was incredibly focused on the battle at hand and didn't like how it was coming down to the wire. Layla sprung to her feet when Jolteon lunged at the Nidoqueen. Finally the Nidoqueen fell and Riley was announced the winner. Layla smiled to herself that her faith wasn't miss placed. Seemed like she could always count on Riley. She recalled what was going through her head when she kissed him on the cheek but pushed it out of her mind. She was probably never going to see him again she decided she really shouldn't think about that, it was too late now at least. She figured there was no use brooding over the matter and turned toward the entrance Riley would come through to the waiting room. "Guess he has something to back up all that ego."
While the trophy ceremony was being held, the manager caught up to Riley near the end. When they greeted each other, the manager whispered some stuff into Riley's ear. "The money is in your account and I've also got you some sponsors. We've set up a flight for you too fly out to Johto in a few hours. So be there." The manager shook Riley's hand one more time before walking away. 'Tonight?' Riley realized that he had only a few hours left in Kanto before he had to go. After about fifteen more minutes, the ceremony finished, Riley had to be escorted outside by security due too the large crowds. When they walked past the waiting room, Riley realized this might be the last time he sees Layla. "Wait a few minutes out here." Riley told the security before going into the waiting room. It was pretty empty except for Layla and Hazel. Riley rubbed his hair as he didn't know what too say. He wasn't really good with goodbyes. "Um Layla, I just came here too let you know that I'm leaving in a few hours and I figured that I might not see you again so... yeah. I guess this is good bye." Riley told Layla. He wondered if Zack was anywhere nearby so he could see him before he left.
Layla smiled warmly as Riley can through the door, she noticed the security just outside the door and figured he probably told them to wait so he could talk to her. How sweet. Layla grinned as he rubbed his hair awkwardly as he walked up. "Way too go, you really earned this tournament." She stopped when he told her he was leaving in a few hours, she didn't think it was gonna be this soon. Her gaze drifted to the floor with a frown when he said they probably wouldn't see each other again. She wasn't sure why she was sad to hear that, it's not like she didn't know this was going to happen. At least she had fun, and she would definitely look back on the people she met and the whole experience fondly. She smiled meekly and lightly walked up to him and gave him a hug. "see ya around, Champ" after a few seconds she let him go grinned up at him with her bright blue eyes. "I hope we will meet again."
Drew shook his head. " Yeah I'll see you There." Drew said. He turned his head and saw Roan. The man seem to have went crazy again. " relax I don't think there was anything harmful in it." He said. He felt a little weak and dizzy. " Hey If you can tell Riley and Layla? to meet me at the burger joint in town. One final send off." He said before heading towards the bathroom. He looked in the mirror nothing seemed to be wrong he must've at something bad last night. He let out a sigh. Unkown to him there was movement inside of his eye.
Riley managed to hug Layla back before she pulled away. He tried not too show it, but Riley really didn't want too leave so soon. He made eye contact with her before he asked a question. "So, um, have you thought about going to Johto's tournament?" He wanted to atleast have some type of clarification from Layla so he wouldn't get his hopes up for no reason. "I mean, it doesn't have to be the last time we see each other." Riley said he scratched his head and looked away.
"Yea no problem, I'll ask them to meet you there. Catch you later Drew," Zack said, before running out the doors and sending out Torch.
"Get me to the stadium, fast," Zack ordered. That made his charizard grin, happy he could go full speed. Before Zack could blink, they were already landing. He took a moment to remember his own name, and balance, then returned Torch. With luck, Layla was still in the waiting room. When he got there, there were guards and security outside the room. He wondered what that was about, and walked in. He found Riley and Layla, and Hazel... Who was still on the floor. We walked up to them, trying to make the conversation quick.
"Hey. Drew wants to see you two at a Burger joint in town," Zack said, in an irritated tone, looking at the ground and nudging it with his shoes. After telling them the info, he walked towards the door again.
"Wait! Zack, aren't you going to go with them?" Hazel asked, getting up, surprised to see him. Zack looked at her with regret, he'd never yelled like that around her, and he felt bad.
"Guess I wasn't invited," Zack said, before walking out the door. He didn't really have any idea where to go from there, his messenger boy mission was over, Drew was figuring out how to fix Riley, Hazel probably didn't want to be around him, or anyone for that matter.

He just took a breath and looked at the ground, as he walked down the hall towards the exit.

Drew looked at Chloe she was getting ready to leave. " Take care." he said as he wrapped his hands around her. " I'll see you in Johto." Chloe smiled before she left. Drew started to run in order to regain some of his strength. He stopped. He wondered if Zack got the hint that he was invited. Maybe he should've told him that he was. He shook his head as he headed towards the stadium. He opened the door and almost ran into Zack. " Hey." He said as he smiled at him. " I might've implied this but didn't say it but your also coming to the burger joint aren't you?" he asked.
Zack, having his head down in depression, didn't even notice Drew had almost collided with him. He only took notice when he started talking. He was a little surprised that Drew thought he would go, but then remembered Drew has no idea about his outbursts.
"Um, I don't know Drew. You haven't been with the group lately and probably don't know that recently, me and the group haven't been getting along. But... If you really want me too, I guess I could join," Zack confessed. He figured at this point, Drew deserved to know what had been happening while he wasn't with them.

Layla shifted a little uncomfortably at the question, she really wasn't sure she wanted to. She was planning this to be the last one but then again she did seem to gain a lot of popularity in this tournament. She wouldn't be surprised if something came out of how many fans she got from this. As she thought about it she was starting to consider Johto a little more. She shrugged her shoulders with a plain expression. "I wasn't planning on it.. but hey, plans change sometimes so ya never know." Layla was surprised Zack came back after his outburst and told them to meet Drew at the steak joint. Layla smiled she had almost forgot that it all kinda started there. It seemed like so long ago but it was just a few days. She was going to say something to Zack but he already went out the door. She really wanted him to be there as well but she didn't want to push him if he just wanted to be alone. She looked back to Riley and then to the security outside the door. " you probably have to go huh? I'll let em know why you can't make it.. I'll see ya around Riley. It was really nice to meet you." She turned to the other door and started making her way toward the steak joint.
Riley was going to call Zack back but stopped when he walked out the room. Riley wouldn't be able to say good bye since he had to go to the airport. He was grateful for Layla telling the others about why he couldn't make it. Once Layla walked out, Riley went with security. After he gathered his stuff at the hotel, Riley was taken to a private jet. "Damn, this is nice." Riley said as he walked through the jet. "And this is all paid for?" Riley asked as he sat down in one of the seats. "Yes sir. Please stay seated until we're in the air." The pilot told Riley before he walked to the cabin. As the jet took off, Riley watched as Kanto got further and further away. "Good bye Kanto." Riley said aloud as the jet flew off.
Nion had just walked outside and looked at the sky. Nion just smiled and looked at the hills and everything seeing as tho he assent invited to drews little meet up before they left nion just stared at kantos beatiful trees. Noin had a tear in his eye he was kinda sad he was leaving his home beatiful kanto nion knelt on the ground and laughed he needed to do something before he left and beat the fuck out of johto he flyer to a house one in pallet town he looked at it and it had looked old and abandoned this was nions old home nion started crying a little he looked at it and flew off back to the arena. Nion just knelt down. He felt......amazing. But he needed to do something before he left he found Layla walking to some place. "Layla I need to tell you something before I leave kanto for good"Nion said.
Unfortunately the route to the steak joint was blocked by a mob of people and reporters that tried to talk to Riley as he walked by. Layla tried to blend into the crowd but accidentally bumped into someone. "I'm sorry, my bad." The man turned around annoyed but instantly changed his attitude as soon as he saw who it was. "Oh my Arceus, you're Layla!" He shouted loud enough for the crowd to converge on her and completely surround her. She looked at the man that brought this about, his shirt caught her eye. She couldn't believe how much people jumped on her popularity. His shirt was green with a cartoonish picture of her throwing her vileplume at a Charizard shouting 'SHRUBADUBA DUB DUB!" She didn't know who made it, she didn't know why. But she knew she had to get one. The crowd swarmed her as reporters pushed their way to her as Layla carefully tried to wiggle her way out. "How do you feel about losing in the semifinals to the champion? Did you expect yourself to gain this much popularity? Will we see you at Johto in the coming months? Many fans are dying to know so we have got to ask, do you have a boyfriend?" Layla tried to sneak away but it was clear the only way out was to answer some question while she walked. She spoke with a smile on her face and just exuding charm. "Honestly I only wanted to win the first round so I never thought I would make it this far to begin with. So it felt good to see what Riley could do. Hah, no. I never expected this. I appreciate it but I never would have expected it. I mean, I wasn't planning on it. But I suppose anything can happen." She paused considering what might happen if she answered the last question honestly. She sighed figureing that she was honest for everything else why stop now? "No, I don't." The crowd got louder at the answer clearly excited and Layla finally made it to the end and ducked out of there and escaped.

"Layla just so you know what im about to tell you might be a little wierd......Yeah Its going to be weird...."Nion said looking at layla straight into her eyes."So yeah........... layla when I was a child I was so happy many freinds nice parents..... But until the age of 8 my life had gone to shit you see my parents were scientist and one day they went into one of the many caves in kanto and never came back...... There deceased....... And after that i had no family left i had to stay in a adoption center and must i say i was adopted fast like two days tops and the family i had..... Was horrible i had to stay with them half a year until they all got in a fight and threw me out like garbadge. Sometimes i still think of myself as garbadge.... So i had to survive by myself but i met tomas who took me in he was like a brother to me and after two years after my parents accsident or murder no one knows i felt nothing i felt no feeling i felt no...... Love.......... I never talked and that was horrible for a 10 year old bring me here 7 years later i competed in a tourament i thought it would be a regular one. Until i met zack still no diffrence until i met everybody..... still no diffrence. But when i met you i felt... Emotions and feelings wich has never happened to me in 7 years. I felt happy i felt.......Love. Layla and after that i broke out of my shell i was acused of being a drug attic and then a murderouse clown and a pervert and guess what there all fake. All of y-..... You broke me out of my shell layla evans... I learned you dont need to be champion to feel emotions or feelings or love no... What im trying to say here is i love you. Layla Evans I love you ok..."Nion said looking at layla with his bright red eyes. Nion just smiled at her.
"Honestly, a lot of it is pretty personal and I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you. If, it's alright. Riley and Layla and Nion are all still friends, nothing changed there. Let me think... Oh, my friend Hazel is now here, unless your already knew that, aaaannnnddd... Everyone hates me. I think that sums up everything you missed," Zack explained, trying to saw as muc as he could, without adding all the drama and fighting that happened. He ran his hand through his hair and as he took a deep breath. He really hadn't thought about how much had happened that much, until just now.
"But anyway, Riley probably has to go soon, so we should hurry to the joint fast before he needs to leave, agreed?" He asked, kind of wanting to get this whole meet up over with.

Layla's expression shifted to a serious look, giving Nion her full attention. She couldn't help but feel bad for him it sounded like he had been through a lot. But she still had no idea why he decided to unload his life story on her. She had no idea where he was going with until he said he felt something when he met her. She paused and her eyes widened a bit when she realized he was being serious. She felt really horrible now, she didn't see this coming at all. She had been hit on a little bit before but never a heartfelt confession. She went speechless when he told her that he loved her. What could she say to that? She really didn't want to break this guys heart but no matter how she looked at it she just didn't know him very well. On top of that she didn't feel exactly positive that he wouldn't go ballistic again so she felt trapped. She stared at his red eyes before she shifted her gaze to the ground trying to formulate a response, she really hated this situation. She really felt bad. "I... wow I really appreciate your, honesty. I feel like I have to be honest with you as well. I'm sorry, I just don't know you very well. We hardly talked and half my interactions with you, you were a little insane. I'm really sorry Nion, I think we should just be friends... okay?" Layla looked at him for a second trying to gauge how he would react to her response. She started walking again until they were just outside the steak joint. She glanced back at him to see if he was coming with her before she went inside the steak joint and found Drew and Zack. Oh cool he did show up. She walked over and took a seat next to them. "So... how ya guys doing?"
Nion just breathed really hard he just wanted to let it out and he was glad he did he didn't expect anything so he just went to the steak joint and saw drew zack and Layla he didn't really realize what the situation was and he thought about it a little second and understood Layla was right. He just walked up to the table they were sitting at and sat down. Nion had really just tried to forget what happened. "Well guess this is most likely our last meeting for good"Nion said looking at everyone. "Just I feel like there was a lot to be explored around kanto I mean this is my home or it ounce was"Nion said looking out a window right by the table. Nion had just smiled as he looked out the window.
"I'm feeling better, where um, is Riley?" Zack asked Layla, wondering where he was. He expected him to be coming in with Layla, but apparently not.
Zack hadn't gotten a drink, so instead raised Torch's pokeball.
"It's the closest thing I have so... Anyway, to making it at least to the quarter finals. I don't feel bad about losing anymore, seeing how far I got. What about you guys? Are you happy where you lost?" He asked, curious if anyone was bummed out by it.

"Yeah it sucked getting owned by the future champion what sucks is I think he wasn't even trying in my battle against him what if we only saw one fourth of his true power what does this world have in hand for Riley"Nion said taking a big drink of whiskey."This is good"Nion said not knowing if he was drinking because he might have been depressed. Layla looked at Zack with an apologetic expression. "He had a plane to catch. Guess he really is big time now. He felt bad he couldn't make it though." She didn't have anything to raise to toast so she just bumped glasses with a thumbs up. "To Kanto. Honestly I kinda wish I lost sooner. Lasting so long threw a lot of stress my way that I never expected to deal with. But I guess it was a good experience." She turned to Drew at his comment. "Sorry about that, we really wish we could have gotten to know you better. Oh but hey let me give you all my number so we can at least stay in touch." She fished a pen out of her bag and wrote her number on a napkin a passed around the table, realizing that she could have exchanged numbers with Riley but it didn't even cross her mind at the time.
After a few minutes of chatting with her tournament friends she saw that her Bus was leaving in a few minutes. She stood up from the table and smiled brightly at the people she had met. "Well I should get going. Thanks for putting up with me. I hope I will see you all again." She left the steak joint and went to the bus stop. She put on a jacket and pulled up the hood in an effort to go incognito so no one would recognize her on the bus. It actually worked. The bus finally started moving and Layla stared out the window reflecting again on everything that had happened. The whole experience was unbelievable. "Hello?... Gyro I'm busy right now... Wait you did what!?!... How did Hazel already get there?... Oh my Arceus Gyro you idiot! Fine. I'll be there soon," Zack said, talking to his old rival. He looked at the two remaining friends with an apologetic look.
"Hey guys, sorry to have to leave so soon, but my old friend Gyro has yet again fucked something up, as usual," Zack said, grabbing his things. As he headed to the door, he looked back at the two. He gave them a thumbs up and opened the door.
"It's been quite the wild ride," he finally said, running out into the fresh air. Once he got out in the open he threw it Torch.
"Take me home buddy," Zack said, jumping on to the dragons back. He took a deep breath and braced himself as Torch zoomed off. He looked back as the entire place started to disappear. This was probably one of his craziest adventures yet.

Nion just looked at the mountains and the trees. "Goodbye my beautiful home may of not had much good memories but your still my home"Nion said. Nion had visited the house where he lived with a crazy family but he never visited the original. Nion rode his charizard to his original house in lavender town. So Nion landed and looked around there was nobody there Nion knew after everything that happened this town would be dead eventually. Nion went over to his house that was covered in bushes and long grass. Nion was kinda glad he was going to leave all he ever had were bad memories of kanto. So Nion sent out charizard and rode to johto and it didn't take long he landed on some ice mountain Nion saw battle marks on the top. Nion realized this is where the lengend red and champion gold fought. Nion just knew he already got a first impression of johto. Nion then happy started running to the first gym smiling. Let's show johto why kantos the best. He heard blue was one of the gym leaders he was looking forward to that. Nion just got a wide grin while running off to the distance.
