Koa looks at Mary as she enters, Fennekin and his new Shiny Eevee glaring. "Uh..Hello." He nervously said. He had never really talked to girls he never met before.
Zane stood inside the gym, a large field with a glass sun roof at the top of the building. Across from him stood Viola, the gym leader, with a camera around her neck.
"Welcome. I am Viola, Gym Leader of the Santalune City Gym. I take it you wish to challenge me?" Viola asked.
"Of course. This is my first step to becoming Kalos Champion." Zane said with a smirk, Froakie ready for battle by his side.
"Cocky one huh? Well don't think this will be a cakewalk. I don't intend to lose." Viola said.
"Give me your best shot! We're ready for anything." Zane said with determination.
"Alright, this is setting up to be a picture perfect battle. The rules are that this will be a 2 on 2 Pokemon Battle. Only you will be allowed to make substations if needed, are we clear?" Viola asked.
"Ready when you are." Zane said. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Mary, Percy and someone he didn't recognize enter the Gym. Soon, Calem and Serena also entered.
"So you want to see him take the challenge?" Serena asked Calem.
"Well he's going to be a rival of mine, I'd like to see what he can do." Calem said before turning to watch the battle.

"Alright, this is setting up to be a picture perfect battle. The rules are that this will be a 2 on 2 Pokemon Battle. Only you will be allowed to make substations if needed, are we clear?" Viola asked.
"Ready when you are." Zane said. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Mary, Percy and someone he didn't recognize enter the Gym. Soon, Calem and Serena also entered.
"So you want to see him take the challenge?" Serena asked Calem.
"Well he's going to be a rival of mine, I'd like to see what he can do." Calem said before turning to watch the battle.
"Well, I guess no one's here." He sighs, staring at the entrance, which had been empty for a long time now. "Guess I'd better get going." He returns his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, exiting the room slowly, a bit disappointed at the fact he couldn't battle the Gym Leader and earn his first badge. When suddenly, he heard the voices talking, and turned around slowly, re-entering the room with Fennekin on his shoulder. "Fenne!" Fennekin leapt onto a chair, and Koa sat back next to Fennekin, a bit confused why he didn't notice the others who were there earlier.

Well this is going to be interesting Percy says to himself as he prepares to see the battle at hand he picks up mudkip and puts him on his shoulder he tells mudkip " mudkip pay attention on viola's battling style "mudkip nods at Percy as they start looking the battlefield
The lady at the front desk in the Contest Center greeted Mocha with a smile "Hi there! Are you here to enroll yourself in the contest?" Mocha was too distracted by the room filled with talented people dressed up in stylish clothes socializing with friends from other contests. "Miss.." Mocha shook her head and looked back at the lady sitting behind the front desk trying to get her attention "Oh yeah sorry!" Mocha said apologetically. The woman smiled "Alright can I get your name and all the Pokémon you'll be performing with?" Mocha nodded.

Mary saw a guy with an Shiny Eevee and Fennekin, turning to talk to him.
"Hello!" Mary said with a smile before heading inside the gym. She took a seat to the side and let out her Eevee and Ralts.
"Now pay attention, there's a chance we'll see some good moves that we can use for future performances." Mary instructed as Eevee and Ralts nodded. All three focused on the battle.

"Hi." He looked at Mary. "Fennekin!" Fennekin leaps up next to Ralts and Eevee, greeting them in a friendly paw-shake with the air. "Vee!" Eevee leaps next to Fennekin, copying the greeting. So, I guess Fennekin is Shiny Eevee's Idle(? XD). "Kin! Kin!" Fennekin playfully wags his tail, wanting to play with the Ralts and Eevee. "Eevwee?" Eevee sniffs Mary's Eevee, confused by how they were different colors, but the same species.
He looks out the window, seeing Mocha with her Sandile, and suddenly felt temped to battle. "Fennekin, Eevee, rest." He returns his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, getting up, and exiting the Gym to ask Mocha to battle. "Hey!" He shouts to Mocha, who exited the contest not too long ago.
"Wanna battle?" He asked, his Fennekin excitedly and playfully paws the Sandile. "Fen Fen!" He fires a small Fireball at Sandile.
"Alright!" He exclaims. He sends out his second Pokemon, Shiny Eevee, and his third one, Shinx. "Lets battle!" He once more exclaimed.

"Rockruff is unable to battle, which means the winner is Amaura!" exclaimed the referee. Diox ran to his Pokemon and hugged it, when Kukui approached him and said, "That was an awesome battle, yeah! Here, take this Alola Pin as a sign of your passing this trial! Your next one, if you would like to know, is in Cyllage City!" Diox took the pin, healed his Pokemon, and headed for the Pokemon gym.
Koa sat, feeding his Houndoom, Fennekin, Umbreon, and Luxio, and an egg was beside him.
As he watched Zane battle, Diox pulled out his Santalune Gym Badge that he received long ago when he first aspired to be a Pokemon Trainer, but later changed his goals. Could he possibly get back on track and become a Pokemon master as well? It was a lot to think about, because then, he and Zane would be true rivals! "You can do it, Zane," he whispered under his breath as he watched the battle. Suddenly, he got a call from Nurse Joy. The egg would be hatching any minute now!
as Percy watches the battle he thinks to him self after the Pokemon league should he try becoming master of the battle frontier or try and be a elite 4 member like his grandfather as he is in his thoughts he then notices Diox with a shocked expression on his face he walked up to him and said"Whats up you seemed a little shocked "
"The egg I got... it's hatching! If you want to see it, then come on!" He bolted out of the room and to the Pokemon Center, where Nurse Joy was waiting for him in the front with the egg. Suddenly, it cracked open, and out of the Egg came a...... Goomy!
Zane was getting nowhere fast. Surskit was just too quick, he had to catch it off guard. Then an idea popped into Zane's head.
"Froakie Double Team!" Zane called out, Froakie producing countless after images to surround Surskit, who looked around it with its eyes wide.
"Don't panic, only one of them can hurt you. Just keep moving." Viola advised, as Surskit began to move in place waiting for the Froakie and the copies to make a move.
"Use Cut!" Zane said as all the Froakies generated duel wield blades and charged Surskit, who tried to dodge all of them. However, the real one found a blind spot and delivered two slashes knocking Surskit back.
"You okay Surskit?" Viola asked as Surskit nodded as the fakes dissipated and the real Froakie faced it ready for more.
"All right, time to change the tempo. Surskit use Ice Beam!" Viola said as Surskit fired an Ice Beam...straight up in the air.
"Nice aim, you completely missed!" Zane said with a smirk.
"Oh did I?" Viola said with a smirk as the Ice Beam bounced off the glass roof, breaking into multiple streams, and traveled down to the battle field. Zane noticed this moments before they made impact.
"Crap! Froakie dodge it!" Zane said as Froakie avoided the multiple streams of ice, but Zane failed to notice Viola's true aim. Soon the battle field was covered with ice as Froakie struggled to keep its footing.

Mary watched in amazement as the battlefield turned into an winter wonder land. Mary shouldn't be impressed, as this put Zane at a big disadvantage, but she couldn't help but admire the way Viola used her moves in sure creative and beautiful ways. She had to emulate that for her performances.
Percy told Diox" i will meet you after the gym battle" as he sees Diox run off he then focuses on the battle at hand he was amazed at how viola turned the whole battlefield on ice and then says to mudkip"when we battle viola we have to try and avoid that alright "

Platinum had finally registered, and he sat outside grooming his Helioptile with a specialized brush, so that the Pokemon's coat could shine with health without effecting any of its electric abilities. The Generator Pokemon held a smug, relaxing facial expression as its trainer brushed it gently. Platinum's Sun-Patterned Vivillon hovered above the two, and Platinum had tossed up a couple of poképuffs to help it feel energized and refreshed.
Finally, it was time for the Contest to begin. The contestants were all called into the Contest Hall, and ushered to the backstage waiting room, where they could all change and watch everything that happened on the main stage. Once the audience was settled, the hostess opened up the show by waving to the crowd, who gave out a loud and enthusiastic applause.
"Hello Everyone! I'm Shauna, and Welcome to the Santalune Pokemon Contest, one of the first of this year! All kinds of Coordinators, some even from different Regions, are gathered here today to compete for this coveted Santalune Ribbon! Let us begin!" She called out, raising the delicate mint-colored ribbon that held a golden palate in the center. She then exited the stage.
Shauna went on to introduce multiple Coordinators, all who came out with a single pokemon and offered beautiful displays to the judges and audience. After a couple went, Platinum's name was then called. Nervous, he walked on to the stage as the curtains had risen, waving to the crowd excitedly. He held Vivillon's pokeball in his hand, and he took a deep breath before throwing it to the center of the stage.
As the pokeball opened, the ball capsule's seal had released several silver ribbons, all swirling in circular motions, forming into the hovering butterfly Pokemon - its pink and yellow patterned wings shining brightly.
"Ok Vivillon, first use Energy Ball! Then Silver Wind!"
The Vivillon then closed its eyes as it gathered some power, soon shooting them wide open as a large glowing green orb was formed, energy surging through it. Vivillon shot the Energy Ball upwards into the air. It ascended quickly, but then began falling back down. However Vivillon then flapped its wings quickly, multiple streams of sparkling wind shooting towards the green sphere. The Silver Winds caught the Energy Ball, keeping it floating in the air while multiple shiny sparkles fluttered about around it.
"Ok finish it off with Solar Beam!"
As Platinum gave the last command, Vivillon's wings began to glow brightly as the bug-type stored up energy adorned in light. Quickly and all at once, Vivillon called its name before releasing an incredibly bright beam of light that shot at the wind-carried Energy Ball. The two attacks clashed, radiating light mixed with green fireworks breaking out in the sky. The remaining sparkles fell down around Vivillon, who flew through the air gracefully before coming to a slow, landing gently on Platinum's outstretched arm.
Platinum took a bow, and left the stage. As he left, the hostess came back.
"Alrighty!! Now everyone, the next participant coming to the stage is Mocha! Give her a hand!"

He feeds his Pokemon, happy to have such great Pokemon friends. "Eat up!" He smiles, pouring some food into the bowls. "Eev!" Eevee noms down on his food, so does Fennekin, Houndoom, and Pichu. He pets his egg, suddenly feeling a little rumble in it. "Woah!" He shouts, quickly pouring the remaining food into the bag, putting up his stuff, returning his Pokemon, all except for Fennekin. "Come on, lets go!" He grabs the egg, rushing to a Pokemon Center, Fennekin right at his side.
(@Platinum_ I feel you should get the Santalune ribbon sense your performance is more polished) Mocha nodded at her pokeball as the curtain rose she crossed her arms and legs holding her pokeball in her right hand she took a breath and thought "How am I supposed to compete after that performance...."
She put on a smile as her face was revealed as she twirled and threw her pokeball "Sandile! Time to party!"
Sandile came out of the pokeball followed by some small purple flames for that's what she had used for her ball capsule. "Sandile! Use Sand Tomb!" Sandile stood up on one foot and used his tail to twirl himself as he released a sand tomb surrounding himself "Use Embargo and wrap it around the enclosure!" Sandile got on all fours as two purple circles appeared on his sides releasing glowing purple chains that wrapped around the sand tomb spinning along with it
Mocha struck a pose and looked at the judges faces but they seemed concerned... Mocha thought about why and realized that they couldn't see Sandile.... he was surrounded by the sand tomb. She began to sweat "Quick, jump up and use dark pulse!" Sandile leaped into the air doing a flip and released a shockwave of dark energy smacking against the insides of the tombs breaking the chains of the embargo and the tomb itself releasing a gorgeous glowing purple powder into the air. Mocha smiled as she heard the crowd in awe and she saw smiles on the judges faces which relieved her. She then summersaulted down beneath Sandile as he fell and landed in her arms "Finished!" She and Sandile posed and then she bowed to the applause. Mocha then waved as she walked off stage. Closing her eyes with relief.

He walks out of the Pokemon Center with a newly hatched Fletchling, towards the contest. He sits in a seat, all his Pokemon releasing themselves from their Pokeballs, and sitting either on the seat, on his lap, or on the ground. He made it just in time to see Mocha's whole performance. "Wooo!" He cheers as Mocha finishes her performance. "Great job!" He shouts.
Froakie struggled to stand on the slippery ice, as Surskit began to skate along the frozen surface showing it hadn't lost a step.
"That ice field. It's tough to deal with." Calem said to himself, recalling Viola having used the same tactic in their battle. Now he watched to see if Zane could overcome it.
"This looks like a picture perfect opportunity. Surskit Signal Beam!" Viola instructed as Surskit fired a beam of energy right at Froakie.
"Dodge it!" Zane called out, but the ice made moving impossible as Froakie was soon nailed with the Signal Beam and knocked back.
"Froakie! You okay!" Zane called out as Froakie replied with a nod, but struggled to make it back to its feet. A combination of the damage from the Signal Beam and the slippery ice floor. Zane knew what he had to do.
"Froakie return!" Zane called out, making his challenger's substitution.
"Smart decision. So who's your second Pokemon, we can't wait to knock it down a peg to." Viola said smirking, Zane frowned as he held Noibat's Pokeball.
"Noibat take to the sky!" Zane called out, releasing Noibat as it flew above Surskit and the ice field.

himself he wonders what Zane will come up with to take that surskit out and another Pokemon that has not even come out yet he then goes and sits next to Mary and says "Do you think he can win this i am not doubting his skills but this really looks bad for Zane ? "

Percy replies " he needs to find a way to slow down that surskit before he can do anything else" Percy then take out his aipom and says to his aipom "you should see this battle too aipom" as aipom gets on his trainer's hat and starts watching the battle as well

"Surskit Ice Beam!" Viola cried out in desperation, Surskit did fire...but it missed the target by a mile. Noibat connected with Wing Attack and sent Surskit flying.
"Surskit!" Viola cried out as Surskit was beaten, fainted on the ground.
"Way to go Noibat!" Zane congratulated, Noibat turning with a smile to its trainer. One down and one to go now.

After all of the performances had went, the Hostess returned to the stage to announce who would make it through to the second rounds - the battling.
"Alright! The remaining 8 Coordinators who will advance to the final round are...."
As Shauna spoke, the giant screen mounted on to the wall began showing faces of contestants. Platinum was getting slightly worried, however his face finally appeared, alongside the face of Mocha.
"We made it! Thank you Vivillon!!" Platinum cried out in joy.
He was worried, but now all he could do was his best battling, and hopefully it would be enough to win him that Ribbon. Shauna got the crowd's attention once more.
"Congratulations advancers! Please prepare for your battles! Speaking of which, here they are!"
She pointed to the large screen once more, who showed who was battling who. Platinum was paired up with a stranger, and was the 3rd battle to go on.
When it came his turn, Platinum entered the stage, faced his opponent, and the timer of five minutes began counting down. He released Helioptile from its Pokeball, the seal releasing blue electricity surging to life before forming into the yellow Pokemon, who adorned a polka-dotted bowtie. He fought hard, doing his best to show off Helioptile's swift mobility and thunderous attacks - whether it was spinning while attacking, executing multiple flips, etc. Before he knew it, the timer had come to a stop - and the winner was revealed on the screen - and to his surprise, it was himself! He had just barely won, having only a 3 point advantage over his opponent.
He sighed with relief as he walked backstage, thanking his Helioptile. Watching the screen, Platinum noticed Mocha was then called up for her battle.

as Percy sees Zane take out viola's surskit he says to Mary " that was some quick thinking from Zane " he then looks toward his Pokemon currently focusing on the battlefield he then thinks" how are we going to slow it down" he then gets a call from his grandfather drake tells him that" i have sent a Pokemon egg to you i got it from when i was in sinnoh you should get it from the poke center in the Pokecenter" Percy replies and says" alright i will pick it up soon "

"Yeah, he's got good battle instincts." Mary said to Percy, here eyes focused on the battle in front of her. Zane found a way around Viola's ice field for the moment, but Viola still had one Pokemon left so this was far from over. Eevee and Ralts looked on with equal interest.
"Not bad, but I'm not throwing in the towel yet. Go Vivillon!" Viola said, releasing her final Pokemon as it the butterfly took to the sky and gave a stare to the opposing Noibat.
"An air battle eh? Fine by us, Noibat let's make it 2 for 2." Zane said, Noibat giving a nod to its trainer showing it was ready for battle.
"Wing Attack!" Zane called out, with Noibat's left wing starting to glow before it charged the Vivillon.
"Vivillon slow it down with Gust!" Viola called out, as Vivillon began to flap its wings rapidly pushing the charging Noibat with a strong gust of wind. Noibat struggled to move forward against the fierce winds as it was slowing being pushed back.
"Come on Noibat! You're not gonna let a little breeze stop you, push through it! Give it everything you got!" Zane called out in encouragement. Noibat took a breath and began pushing forward. The wings of the Gust attack made it difficult as slowly but surely Noibat began to make its way to Vivillon.
"Man that Noibat's determined, but we're not just gonna let you do what you please. Vivillon stop using Gust and use Psychic!" Viola instructed as Vivillon stopped flapping its wings before its eyes started to glow as Noibat was soon coated in Psychic energy and frozen in the sky.
