Private/Closed Journey in Galar! (Roleplay)

Ben was sprinting as fast as he could after a day of running he fainted. After 4 days he got to wyndon. He felt small compared to the giant wyndon tower there was 2 guards standing blocking the early trainers "hold on.Your too early". Ben sat in feeling like he rushed his journey. He walked to the pc and said "birch...professor birch.

Alistar returned to the Pokemon Center, both to rest his Pokemon and return to Gabblimey. He waited in the lobby for Nurse Joy to help his Pokemon, then returned to the room triumphant. "Can cross badge number seven off the list now, just one more to go!" He exclaimed as he entered the room, though now there really was no reason to stay in Spikemuth other than to wait for Gabblimey to recover.

"Well...let's get going." he mumbled softly, walking into the gym...after looking around a bit, he made his way to get changed and went to do the challenge. He passed through with little issue. However, the battle with Bede made him rather nervous. Salasa tossed out Rocky Road, while Bede sent out his Mawile. Mawile attacked first with a Crunch, which Rocky Road easily tanked, and used the opportunity to set up Stealth Rocks, which scattered and vanished across Bede's side of the field. Another Crunch from Mawile, which did a surprising amount of Damage thanks to a Critical Hit, but Mawile went down with an Incinerate, burning it up in one hit. Next came Gardevoir, who used a Calm Mind to take the next Incinerate. He retaliated with a Psychic, which took out the Coalossal. Next came Smith, in his first real Gym Battle. He started off with a Dragon Dance, making him much faster and stronger...he was able to take a Dazzling Gleam thanks to a Roseli Berry. He then used an Acrobatics to severely weaken the Gardevoir...it tried to use Dazzling Gleam once more, but Smith took it out with a Sucker Punch before it could strike. Next came the Rapidash...Smith used another Acrobatics, but it wasn't enough, and he was quickly taken out with a Dazzling Gleam, followed by a Quick Attack. Next came Bundt, who used Metronome, hoping to get some good luck...and good luck he got, with a Shadow Ball emerging from her fingertips, launching it at the Rapidash. She was able to tank a Dazzling Gleam, thanks to that Special Defense of hers, and finished off the Rapidash with a Dazzling Gleam of her own. Salasa returned Bundt, sending out Scruff instead to fight that Hatterene. Salasa Dynamaxed his Toxtricity, while Bede Gigantamaxed his Hatterene. Toxtricity was able to start out with a Max Ooze, raising his Special Attack as he did so...the Hatterene responded with a Max Mindstorm, setting up a strange Psychic Terrain around the Battlefield. However, it wasn't enough, as a boosted Max Ooze proved enough to defeat the Hatterene, sending her back down to size. Salasa returned Scruff, who was gloating smugly about the win against the Gigantamax Pokemon. He took his Fairy Badge, thanked Bede for the battle, and returned the lobby. He definitely seemed a bit happier than before.

While Shade was waiting and glancing up at the big screens, she began to train more of her Pokemon. Her Drakloak still wasn't evolving, but it was only a matter of time before she obtained her first ever Dragapult - a Pokemon she admired and have been wanting since her stay at Veritas Island.

As she did so, she swore she could smell an odd smell of sweetness. She walked to find some Alcremie congregating near a cafe. There seemed to be some sort of pastry bake-off, with the different types of Alcremie and some Milcery present to help the bakers. Really? At this city? Finding it odd, she didn't question it as she scanned the Pokemon. These contestants were new at baking, so the Alcremie and their Pokemon of choice were helping them. There were nine different kinds of Alcremie, one for each of the nine contestants. Each of them had a Pokemon that is their partner for this. One of them had a Flapple, the next one had an Appletun, then the other one had a Frosmoth, and the other six all happened to be Pokemon she had met before.

She smiled as she went over what was left. Looking it over, she saw that most of the Gigantamax varieties of Pokemon are the only ones she is missing. She will probably go out to the Dens after she gets her next and last Badge and hunt down these last Gigantamax Pokemon... And spend some time with Aaron.

After scanning all nine new Pokemon in her datapad and reflecting on what she should do next, she walked back to the Pokemon Center to see that Aaron was done with his battle with Marnie. He came back and she smiled at the hilariousness created by Erik as he bugged Scale. She absolutely loved the look of the Hatterene, Sage, and she liked the melody that was being played by Venom. She shrugged her shoulders, not being able to find Seth either.

"Here, he must be hiding somewhere. A person like him won't be able to blend in well, especially since people know him. Come on, he must be in a building somewhere."

That's when she began searching for him. And that's also when she heard singing and strumming. She looked back to see if it was Venom before discerning where it was coming from. With precision, she ran to the cafe that held a singing voice and she peeked in through the window.

There he was. She smiled. "Well, lookee here. There he is. Didn't think he was an artist, too. Hey, what kind of music do you like Aaron? I know, kind of out of the blue, but I just realized I don't know a whole bunch about you. Sorry about that, I've been caught up with my research and training for the gym challenge," she seemed quite sheepish as she looked almost shy. And was that a light blush creeping across her face? She looked up at Aaron sweetly. "I like most techno beats, as well as rock and pop. Well, actually, I like most genres, but I really like rock, pop, country, and EDM. Oh, and video game music. My brother got me hooked on two of my favorite music genres."

Aaron followed Shade and gave a smile. "Never really thought of that. Honestly, I don't really listen to music that often, but I mainly like video game soundtracks. And occasionally EDM and pop, I guess." He replied to Shade. Erik was, as usual, attacking Scale, who couldn't even care anymore. Venom played along to Seth outside, while Sage stood near her trainer. "Should we go in or?" Aaron asked Shade.

Alex cheered as Salasa won, and then went to the lobby. "Might as well do this now!" She changed into her uniform before completing the challenge with little to no problem. Then she had to battle Bede.

Bede sent out his Mawile, as Alex sent out Blaze. The Raboot started with Blaze Kick, and the Mawile used Crunch. Blaze then uses Blaze Kick once more and fainted the Mawile. Then came out Gardevoir. Blaze used another Blaze Kick, however the Gardevoir used Psychic, slamming Blaze into the ground. However, this makes Blaze glow. He was evolving! The Raboot stood up, glowing white, before growing into a Cinderace. He then used his newly learnt Pyro Ball, kicking a small pebble until it was a large fireball, and launched it at the Gardevoir, fainting it. As Rapidash came out with a Smart Strike, Blaze used Pyro Ball, however fell to a Drill Run.

Alex then used Diamond. Rapidash used Smart Strike, which Diamond turned around in time to soften the blow with his shell. The Golisopod then used Razor Shell, and the Galarian Rapidash used Dazzling Gleam. After a few rinse and repeats of trading blows, Galarian Rapidash went down. Bede sent out Slyveon who used Light Screen, weakening Diamond's Surf. Diamond was then knocked out shortly, after using Razor Shell, by a Shadow Ball.

Alex then used Astral, who used Shadow Ball, knocking out the Sylveon. Finally came out Hatterene and they both Dynamaxed and Gigantamaxed, respectively. Astral was hit with a G-Max Smite, and the Gardevoir used Max Phantasm. Astral was then attacked by a Max Mindstorm, however she fainted the Gigantamaxed Hatterene with another Max Phantasm. Alex have won her Fairy badge and went back to the lobby, changing back into her regular attire.

Jake cheered loudly for both Alex and Salasa during their matches.

Sonny stared at Blaze in awe as his fellow Raboot evolved into a Cinderace.

He blinked and tilted his head to the side.

Jake looked down at him.

"What...you don't like Cinderace?"

Sonny slowly shook his head.

"You...wanna stay a Raboot?"

"....rab." Sonny nodded.

"Well, alright...next chance we get, I'll buy you an everstone." Jake smiled, as he looked back up at the arena, and both went to meet Alex and Salasa.

"Nice going," he smiled at both, as he walked over.

"Neither of you guys would happen to have a spare everstone you don't want, do you? Sonny wants one apparently." He said as he motioned down at his partner.

Kia had left the stands a while before Alex beat the gym. She went to the pokemon centre and spoke to the Move Tutor. She taught Sled Ancient Power, and made it back to the gym after the rest of the group had returned to the lobby. She rummaged through her bag and pulled out two everstones. "Found these a while back. Don't think I'll be needing them." She handed Jake one. She changed into her uniform and started the challenge.
It was fairly simple, the challenge, and Kia made it through with ease. She cracked her knuckles as Bede sent out his Mawile. Kia sent out Sled, who used Dig immediately. Mawile dodged and Crunch, but Sled used Ancient Power and returned back to the underground. He used Dig, fainting the Mawile.
Bede sent out Gardevoir and Sled charged forward, using Tackle. Sled moved back in time to dodge Energy Ball, then took it out with a combo of Ancient Power, then using boosted stats to take it out with Tackle.
Bede sent out Rapidash, and Sled used Ancient Power. Rapidash charged through with Quick Attack and knocked Sled over. Sled tried to get up, but the Rapidash used Dazzling Gleam. Kia attempted to switch Sled out, but Sled refused and started glowing. Kia smirked. Sled was evolving! She knew that he would only evolve by Ancient Power. The newly evolved Mamoswine used Ice Beam, then used Double Hit. Rapidash went down, but Sled was also knocked out, due to it using up all of its energy.
Bede sent out Sylveon, who was taken out in a couple of hits, with Giji's combo of Screech, then Earthquake twice. Kia was a bit confused that Giji already knew Earthquake, but didn't question it.
Kia sent out Sasai and Dynamaxed. Bede Gigantamaxed Hatterene. Sasai toughed out two Max Starfalls, and fit in two Max Phantasms taking out Hatterene. Kia returned Hatterene and entered the lobby again, with her Fairy Badge in hand.

"Lemme see..." His Rotom Phone zipped out of his pocket, and he fiddled around with it. "Seems like we gotta go to Circhester...we're gonna fight Melony, she specializes in Ice Types...it's also pretty cold there. Rocky Road can help with that, he's always pretty heated up. But before we get to that cold part, we need to get through some ruins-type things in Route 8...I might need to look there to find a new partner." He sighed softly, putting his phone away. "Should we call a Corviknight Taxi? We can get to Hammerlocke, go through a bit of Route 7, and go North to Route 8. Unless anyone needs to go somewhere on the way?"

"Ready whenever!" Alex replied to the three. Blaze could be seen kicking a pebble back and forth with his two feet, while Flake had wrapped himself in a white, silky cocoon on Blaze's back, enjoying the warmth. Astral was still looking around Ballonlea. Wynd was slightly annoyed due to everyone evolving, while resting on Alex's shoulder. Rose attempted to greet Grim, however the Morgrem ignored her, staring at the cocoon on the Cinderace's back. Diamond was feeling proud of what he did in his recent battle, doing a small dance.

Kia thought about it for a moment. "Salasa, we could go back to the Glimwood Tangle if you like. If not, then we'll take a Corviknight Taxi to the Wild Area. I'm gonna find a new pokemon, too." Not a single part of her team was good against Ice, except Giji. She couldn't think of any pokemon to get other than a Klink. She had seen one after they beat the third gym. "I think I'll get a Klink. I'm pretty sure I know where they are in the Wild Area."

Shade looked at the smile forming on Aaron's face and couldn't help but to smile wider. Was she actually falling for this guy? She had never done that in years. Last person she fell for, she was 13 and they broke her heart just as quickly as her crush formed for them, which was why she never pursued a relationship. 17 years have passed, and now she was interested in someone. She had to take him with her on her journey to find all the Gigantamax Pokemon and maybe catch a few. With music tastes, at least they had a few things in common. She would just have to find that adventurous, daredevil side of him, but intellect and a good personality hook her in. She also liked the way he carried himself.

Shadara took herself out of her slight stare and nodded, chuckling a little at herself. "Yea, yea, come on," she walked over to the and opened with a slight push. It didn't need to be hard, as it swung open and stayed there for a bit, enough time for Shade to pop in, wave at Seth and tell him to get going, and then walk back out. The energy in the cafe felt nice, but she felt strangely alienated. She didn't know why and it probably wasn't the customers' fault or the staff, but it just... Didn't feel right. Then again, she didn't do well in big crowds of people, so that was her thing.

"Um...why?" He felt a pain in his heart...not physical pain, of course, but rather emotional. "O-Oh...um...well, I suppose you have a point, but...I suppose I don't wanna...bother him too soon. I, um...I suppose I could ask my mum if he can come watch me in the Finals..." he shrugged, rubbing his arm. "Then to the wild Area it is! So...you wanna catch a Steel type for the gym? Well...if I remember correctly, Rock and Steel types also have good match-ups against Ice Types. They also don't really resist anything other than Ice Types either...Smith won't be much help, and neither will Skreebo...but Rocky Road should pull his weight. Though...I think Melony has a Lapras, right? That could prove...difficult..."

Seth did not take long after his song to get out of the cafe. He did have a few people who wanted to get autographs, so he gave them one, and left with his things. He and Frost were out in front with his things in less time then most would have done. He had a bit of sheepish smile as they had found out one of his secrets. "So where do we go from here guys?"

As soon as Shade left the cafe, Seth was already behind her and had left the door. Chuckling to herself, she facepalmed and cursed herself for not seeing that he was done. Given the question, she really wanted to go to the Wild Area, but she at least wanted to finish the Gym Challenge first. She didn't want to get ahead of herself there, and she wanted to spend some quality time with Aaron without Seth around, so after Hammerlocke, they should probably split ways. And to continue her research and get some G-Max Pokemon.

She looked over at Seth with a determined look in her eyes, her posture speaking a hasty retreat. "Hammerlocke City. The last one in the Gym Challenge, not including Wyndon, of course. Oh, and after we beat that gym, I need to go to the Wild Area to gather some data on the Gigantamax Pokemon there, maybe catch a few, like Gigantamax Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, Orbeetle, and Gengar. Then we'll wait for the others to catch up in Wyndon. Do you have some place to go after we complete Hammerlocke?"

With that, she let out her Hydreigon, who roared a little upon being released. He set himself down on the pavement for Shade to get on. After a few flaps, they're a foot above the ground.

"If you need a guide around the Wild Area, you got one," Jake smiled. "If not, I guess I could go with Alex or meet you guys in the next town via another corviknight taxi. Either way, I'll do my best to see you guys in the next gym." He said, as Sonny practiced his Ember attack on a nearby large rock, before he spun into a Flame Wheel against a dead log.

"As for pokemon that are strong against Ice...well...there's Growthlithes in the Wild Area, you'll have to train them a lot though...hm..." Jake thought out loud, and bit his lip as Sonny fought against the dangerous rock of nature.

Gabblimey growled at Alistar, she was being sarcastic! She decided that she wanted to one-up him, of course, and got out of the bed and into the wheelchair again. She shivered, grabbing a few blankets and putting them over herself. She wheeled out of the Center, and started making her way down the street. One of the blankets got caught in the spokes, and the chair fell over. Gabblimey whimpered as she smacked against the ground, and attempted to lift herself back up with her arms.

"D-Damn it... g-gotta get this done... I can do it this time. Must... show my strength...!"

She groaned as she barely got up and leaned against a wall, breathing heavily and shakily.

Alistar ran after Gabblimey, startled that she'd just suddenly left. He found her propped up against a wall, her wheelchair on the floor. "What're you doing!" He yelled, this constant loop of her trying to leave and getting herself hurt was starting to stress him out. "Why do you keep running off!? It's starting to stress me out, you've gotta stop! Some things are more important than this stupid Gym Challenge, like your health! You can't just neglect it to keep moving forward otherwise you'll be worse off than before, I feel like I've explained this to you time and time again!"

After a while of training, Zac returned to the Pokémon Centre. He caught a few Pokémon, some of which will help him against Raihan. Zac couldn’t help but think what Alister and Gabblimey we’re going though, Gabblimey was in pain while Alister is trying to help her. He soon went to bed thinking if he should wait for the two or join a different group of trainer’s.

(OOC: Just clicked that Vikavolt is Electric. I'm gonna change it again to a Talonflame named Blitz.)

"Hope you don't mind if I use one of your Pokemon again?" Aaron asked Seth. But then he realized that he could bring back on of his Pokemon. He saw Shade do it, so it couldn't be too hard. "Wait a second, I need to go do something." He said before calling his mom on his Rotom Phone. Soon, a Great Ball and a Poke Ball. He also decided to get another team member, as it was unlikely he would catch another Pokemon. Aaron sent out the Pokemon and out came a Talonflame. Blitz looks confused, in a place he's never seen. Aaron gave him a part on the head before mounting him. Blitz was even more confused. His owner didn't fly, he knew that. Nonetheless, he was excited for this. "If you're wondering, this is Blitz, a Talonflame I had in Alola." He explained. Blitz started to fly, and Aaron slightly struggled. He would have to get used to, he was an adult and he couldn't even handle being a few meters of the ground.

"I'm fine with any way, to be honest, as long as we all get to Circhester. I don't have any business in the Wild Area though." Alex replied to Kia. "We could split up, but I'll probably take a Corviknight Taxi to Hammerlocke." Wynd had flown off of Alex's shoulder to Salasa's shoulder. "If you want to stay with them, then be careful, okay?" Alex asked the Noibat. Wynd gave a nod and received an Oran Berry from her trainer. The rest of Alex's Pokemon was shortly returned.

"I can head with you, Kia...I wouldn't mind picking up some more berries anyways...eh?" As Wynd flapped onto Salasa's shoulder, he tilted his head. "Hey there...you're coming with us? Alright then!" He tapped on his Rotom Phone for a bit, before looking back up at the group. "Alright...we can all take a Corviknight Taxi to Hammerlocke, then split up from there. Sound good to everyone?" He took out Smith to accompany him...the little Flapple didn't take kindly to Wynd taking up Salasa's shoulder, so he decided to land on his head. He found it much nicer anyways, since Salasa's hair was a comfy mess.

Kia gave a thumbs up. "I'm good with that." She returned Mudd, Uma and Sled. Sasai and Giji sat in her bag, and Ikari on her head. She got on the Corviknight Taxi, and Ikari jumped down to her lap. Kia petted her. She looked at Salasa. For the first time, she noticed he was pretty cute. She jumped at that thought. Kia pulled out her Rotom Phone and searched up random things. Anything to get my mind off that. She thought.

"S-sure! I don't mind..." Alex shyly replied, a faint blush creeping over her face. Blaze gave a laugh at Alex before getting returned, alongside Astral and Diamond. They would be too big to fit in the Corviknight Taxi. "Well, let's go to Hammerlocke!" She said rushing inside. Alex then looked over to Kia, jumping and immediately going on her Rotom Phone. "Are you okay? You look like you just had a panic attack," She asked. Rose was holding the cocooned Flake, while Grim was looking outside the window. Wynd was a bit tired and started to sleep on Salasa's shoulder.

Jake followed Alex inside the Corviknight Taxi, as Sonny quickly did the same.

Jake sat down, and Sonny hopped up onto his lap.

"...wonder if Baltimore wants to fly alongside the taxi," he thought out loud, as he looked down at the Corvisquire's pokeball.

Sonny looked up at him.

"Dunno...the Corviknight might be too fast," he bit his lip and shrugged.

"...eh, he deserves the freedom," Jake decided, and grabbed the pokeball.

Baltimore popped out with a beam of light on the grass, and spread his wings.

He tilted his head to the side curiously, as he took in the larger evolved version of himself, and the humans and other pokemon sat in the taxi.

"Stay as close to where you can still see us, if you get tired land inside." Jake said to him with a smile.

Baltimore cawed happily and ruffled his feathers.

"What? I'm perfectly fine... I was just checking something." A drip of sweat rolled down Kia's forehead and she looked down. She tied her hair into a ponytail. "Apparently, the easiest way to get rid of sweat is by tying your hair into a ponytail." She pointed to her phone, trying her hardest not to give any ideas to Alex. Ikari giggled randomly and hopped over to Salasa. She lunged at Wynd, in an attempt to take it down as it fell asleep.

Salasa was, thankfully for Kia, an innocent one, so he didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary. He was marveling at the Corviknight...he decided to sit next to Kia for the flight. He tilted his head as Kia tied her hair into a ponytail...he smiled softly. "Huh...that's interesting! I think your hair looks nice that way too..." He smiled softly. However, pretty quickly into the flight, Salasa was getting scared...seems he didn't really like heights either. He nudged up again Kia a little to compensate...Smith noticed pretty quickly that Ikari was getting ready to pounce, so he tried to hit Ikari away, trying to stop the Leafeon from starting a fight, while also not rocking the Taxi too much.

Kia blushed a bit as Salasa nudged against her. "Are you scared of heights? You don't seem very well." Ikari growled, but decided to retreat back to Kia's lap. Kia looked out of the Corviknight Taxi. "I guess it is really high up. Don't worry though, you wont fall. If you did, my pokemon and I would catch you. We've got your back." Giji and Sasai poked their heads out as Ikari retreated. They slowly approached Smith, and tried to act friendly. When they got close enough, Giji climbed on Sasai and growled, ready to attack.

Alex gave a shrug to Kia's response. "Okay then..." She said, slightly unsure of her answer. Wynd was sleeping, before opening her eyes to see Ikari about to attack her. However, Smith retaliated back. When the Leafeon was going to attack the Flapple, Wynd attempted to stop Ikari with a weak attack. Alex gave a small smirk to Salasa's fear, it reminded her of her brother. "My brother just distracted himself and didn't look through the window when we were flying to Galar. If he did, he would just take deep breaths until he felt fine. You could try that," Alex tried to reassure him.

"Y-Yeah, I...thanks, Kia...I guess I just prefer having my two feet on solid ground..." he chuckled a little, but still kept very close to Kia...just in case. "...y-yeah, maybe...um...maybe you're right..." he sighed, and just closed his eyes, trying to stop thinking of the height...and he did, maybe a bit too well. He hadn't slept in a while, so he ended up falling asleep for a little nap, leaning against Kia's shoulder. Smith hissed a little, and just decided to retreat to Alex's shoulder.

Shade looked at Blitz with a smile on her face. The bird obviously looked well taken care of and she would pet him if she weren't on her dragon at the moment. Seeing Seth get on his Dragapult, Shade pointed to the general direction of where the next city was and yelled "To Hammerlocke City! Beat you both there!" before flying off in a rush of speed. Despite the bulkiness of his body, Schwartz was quite fast. It seemed that he had some help in maximizing the amount of air he was flapping to go faster.

Now, Shade knew that a Talonflame and a Dragapult can beat them, but she was having fun. A light hearted race is interesting at best and she wanted to make it in time so she had ample time to get some data on the Gigantamax Pokemon.

After a night of sleep, Zac got up and went to one of the phone booths at the Pokémon Centre. He called Professor Kukui and asked if he could send some of his Pokémon over, after that he went outside holding one of his newly caught Pokémon in hand. He looked at the stadium and slightly tighten his grab on the Pokéball in hand, he was ready to get he’s final Gym Badge and get to the Pokémon League. He enter the stadium ready to beat Raihan’s dragons.

Aaron started to close his eyes before saying: "Ah, screw it." Blitz took off behind Shade, Aaron's eyes wide open. As long as he didn't look behind or down, he was fine-ish. Blitz was happy to see his trainer. He had kept steady, to calm Aaron. The Talonflame thought if he even changed directions sharply, Aaron would freak out. But it seemed he was doing fine for the most part.

Spirit was not about to give up that easily. She took off with Seth on her back. The two seemed to be very intuned with one another. As they neared Aaron, and his talonflame, Spirit sped ahead of the two. She turned and gave a little wave to the two, and turned back to the race at hand. Seth and Spirit were gaining on Shade. It seemed that as much as Blaze and Seth were good at flying, it seemed that Spirit and Seth were better matched when it came to it. He was able to speed past Shade, and Spirit shot straight ahead. It looked like the pair were very competitive when it came to it.

Kia turned to look at Salasa to reassure him, but he had fallen asleep on her shoulder. She simply turned away and tried not to think about. Ikari turned to Sasai and Giji. They looked at each other, then nodded to her and the three slowly approached Smith. Ikari climbed on top of Giji and looked up at Smith. Sasai rose off the ground until Ikari was at Smith's level. They didn't seem to notice Alex's existence next to Smith. Ikari and Giji used smaller replicas of Mega Drain and Rock Tomb to attack Smith.

Smith just gave an angry hiss, using Acrobatics to dodge the attacks, then retaliating with a U-Turn on Ikari to return to his Pokeball, thankfully sending out Bundt instead of the much heavier Pokemon. The shy Alcremie glanced at the three Pokemon that were ganging up on Smith earlier, and just decided to stick close to Salasa...if they attacked her, they would risk Salasa waking up.
