This is a RP about trainers in the Johto Pokemon League.
Idea: This is sort of a compromise between the games and anime in how it works. Here it is.
So, trainers must earn all the badges of the gym leaders in the Johto Region. They then leave for the Pokemon League on a set date. Here they enter a tournament-like competition between the best trainers of the region. The four finalists face off against a randomized elite four member, and who isn't eliminated by this will battle in the finals. Whoever wins this faces off against Lance, the champion. If they win against him, they become the new champion.

  • Read the official RPing Rules.
  • Characters must be at least 15, please only use OCs, and must use Johto-only or Pokemon that can be obtained in Johto, no Legendaries or Megas.
  • Use at least 3-Paragraph posts.

  • Past (Backstory and Such): Born in Violet City, Lucas was born into a family enthralled with Pokemon, his mother was a Nurse Joy in a local Pokemon Center, while his father was a trainer who traveled a lot. While growing up, he too loved Pokemon, so much so that he almost missed schoolwork. When he was old enough, he began traveling with Pokemon, and was a natural at battling. Though while traveling through Johto, one of his Pokemon, his Feraligater in fact, passed away after being ill for a long while. This devastated him, for he blamed himself for its death. He took a break from Pokemon, and became very depressed. However, he was talked back into traveling by his father, but he never forgets his Feraligater, and remembers to always be careful.

Past: In Azalea Town, they had a lot of Slowpokes there. When David was 12 he helped a sick Slowpoke get better. When David found its trainer, the trainer gave it to him. The slowpoke, holding the Kings Rock, evolved into Slowking and was Nicknamed king. David went on an adventure with King and now he is at the Pokemon League.

Age: In her own words, "Classified!~" Proclaims mannerisms of a fifteen-year-old.

Hometown: Common consensus says Blackthorn.
Past: Very little of it is recorded as a very calamitous and highly inconvenient fire claimed most of her personal files. A thorough background inspection found evidence of eight successive gym victories, nothing more. When addressed personally, Janet talked on and on about her life growing up in Blackthorn City and befriending her first partner that continues to serve her today as a shiny Dragonite. She was recently pronounced as reputable and accepted as a Pokemon League Tournament competitor earlier this month.
Personality: Equally energetic and enigmatic. Has a right amount of youthful spunk and spirit. Appears to stumble purposefully in order to incite an innocuous ruse. Her bubbly attitude conceals a reluctance to confide in other people.

Past: Kene grew up in the Kanto Region, which is evident by his hometown. There, he conquered all eight Gyms and participated in the Kanto League Tournament, although he didn't go very far. Once he heard about the Johto League Tournament, he packed his bags and flew to the Johto Region. Just two weeks before the tournament, he finally beat the eighth gym leader, finally placing him a spot in the tournament.
