The September 26, 2006 release date that's been hanging around the internet for the last week or so has been confirmed, which means that there's barely THREE MONTHS to go! Woo! Probably nobody remembers, but a long time ago I tried predicting the release dates based on past patterns and came up with this: Japan: September 20, 2006 (February 20, 2008 for third version) North America: October 26, 2006 (September 14, 2008 for third version) Europe: May 18, 2007 (August 22, 2008 for third version) Six days off. Not bad, if I do say so myself. Of course, now I can't wait to see how the rest of my predictions turn out. Second bit of news: and English announcement by Nintendo has also yielded the name of the Pokétchi in translations, which is "Pokétch," a combination of 'Pokémon' and 'watch'. It doesn't sound SO bad when pronounced out loud, but the spelling lacks the cuteness of the Japanese (which, technically, is the exact same thing: watch in Japanese is wocchi).
