The nurse and the Machoke brought Miel to the bed, and sat him up, allowing him to hold himself as he rocked back and forth. Miel fumbled for his PokeGear in his pocket and held on to it with an iron clutch. The nurse was going to ask him, but decided against it and instead gave him a blanket. The funny thing was that the blanket being draped over him actually worked somewhat. He finally composed himself enough to take a deep breath and release it all, albeit a little shaky. He tried to collect his thoughts about what had happened, since everything happened so fast and he couldn't exactly remember everything.

The only thing he could remember was Jean talking about showcases, and the same guy trying to help him out of it. Regret and pain crashed upon him once more, but it didn't trigger his panic attack. He just sat there, his hands now holding up the weight of his head by being placed underneath his forehead. What the hell did this kind of first day turn into? This was by far the worst day he ever experienced. He turned to Jean and gave him a meek smile, but it quickly faded as his hands start to shake. Although, it wasn't as bad as before. Although, now that he was gone from the situations, he could finally breathe again.

All he could let out was a weak little "thank you" to Jean, before he quickly dialed on his PokeGear his sister's number. His voice had broke during his ordeal; it sounded dry and raspy, yet high-pitched like a child just going through puberty.

He hastily put the phone to his ear and his sister happy greeted him on the other end. It was so loud, Jean could hear it easily, but Miel didn't exactly care at the moment. He just quietly said "Panic attack... Need pills..."

The mood and tone of his sister's voice changed drastically, going from happy and jolly to sincere and concerned. She said "It will be on its way. Don't worry, Miel. It'll be there soon."

With that, she hung up and rushed to their family's Alakazam to fetch Miel some of his anxiety pills. Meanwhile, Miel just sighed as he slowly let the hand holding the phone drop to his knee, and he limply put the phone away. He just sighed heavily and combed through his hair, which was a little in disarray. He felt so sorry. He didn't know what to do. He just started off with saying "I'm sorry.... So sorry". He didn't know what to say, but at least that would help.

Meanwhile, Butch had calmly turned her head to Dylan asking if she would like to be his partner. Out of all the people in here, he seemed to be the most competent one. She thought for a moment before a devilish smile spread across her face. She shrugged her shoulders, not turning around to face him. She then nodded her head, still with that strange foreign glint in her eyes. She then responded after a few tense moments: "Sure, why not? Besides, you're competently better than everybody else here. Question is, would you be able to keep up with me?"

Dylan remained oblivious to whatever was going on through Butch's mind, despite a strange shine in her eyes. "Well, I guess I could ask you the same," He retorted coolly, a smirk of his own slowly materializing on his face. Competently better than everybody else, huh? I guess that might be the farthest I'll ever get to a compliment by her. He shoved his hands in his pockets after running a hand through his hair and looked around. "Anyway, you have any idea what we're doing?" One idea Dylan had had was that the two partners would be battling, which was kind of the subject of this course, Appeal Battling 101.

Butch just scoffed at the question. Why such a strange question? It seemed rhetorical. She was going to answer it anyway for him. She turned around and gave him the complete sassy side of herself. "Well, it's obviously going to for battling each other or battling with each other. There are two ways to Appeal Battle. One versus one, and two versus two. If there were any more competitors battling in the same appeal battle, then that's unheard of or really rare. I don't even think a three versus three appeal battle has ever been done." Even though she was quite rude and sassy, her demeanor seemed to shift to becoming slightly calmer. She didn't know what this guy was going to her, but it was probably with how calm and collected he was. It was rubbing off on her and she wasn't exactly too happy with that.

Dylan nodded, seemingly unfazed by Butch's bluntness. "Yeah, you're right. I had an idea it was gonna be like that, but I wasn't entirely sure." He chuckled and looked back at Coach Evaristo. Both he and Butch seemed to have a similar personality, and Dylan was guessing that wouldn't sit too well with the other students in the future. Coach Evaristo was in a position of authority, and Butch clearly had an adamant determination to make her name known throughout campus. Dylan, of course, was taking a neutral position in the matter, as he wasn't really intimidated by either of them.

Seeing that this guy wasn't exactly fazed by her behavior, her demeanor calmed even more. What or who even is this guy? Either way, she walked over to the already partnered up group who were standing in front of the coach. She didn't exactly wait for Dylan, and her Manectric decided she was going to retreat into her Poke Ball. Butch didn't pay any attention as her Pokemon, Trixie as she was called, bopped her Poke Ball with her nose and was then retrieved by a red beam and swallowed into the confines.

The coach, seeing that people were still trying to get partners, decided to call everyone up to the already made groups. He blew so hard on his whistle that his face turned beet red. The look didn't disappear, even when he started yelling about their next course of action. Although, despite his rough voice and his blunt mannerisms, what he says next sounds odd when put with that kind of voice, since it sounded quite light-hearted.

"Alright! Everyone attention! Since I see some of you haven't found a partner yet, you will just have to hurry up and find one while everybody else gets to do the assignment. We don't have all day. Anyway, what Appeal Battling is about is you fight your opponent, in this case your partner, and try to outdo him or her with style or with cunning. Now, everybody can make an appealing battle, so don't say you can't. Work hard, and show your partner all that you've got. You'll need to for your next round I will have you do, so keep your partners, too.

"The way the fights will work will have you and your partner on each end of these battlefields here. I will state this again: You win by decreasing the points of the other or knocking out their Pokemon or if the timer runs out and you have more remaining points than your opponent. This will be a single battle, one on one. You better use the same Pokemon you use in this fight with the next fight we are doing. Don't try to be sneaky. Any objections or questions?"

As the coach waited, Butch was going to say something, but decided not to. It was better to have someone else ask about the duo who left earlier. She didn't want to seem like she was soft, which she wasn't. She just wanted to make sure that four-eyed kid was away.

Dylan listened to Coach Evaristo's instructions, not wincing even the slightest from his shrill whistle and nodded before walking up to Butch. "Well, best of luck to you." He grinned and headed over to his end of a battlefield, waiting for Butch to take her place. Dylan gripped Quirino's Pokeball briefly before thinking. He then released his hold on the spherical device holding his Alakazam and whispered, "Sorry, Quirino; I'll be going with someone else." Dylan smirked and braced himself. This was going to be an interesting battle.

Butch nodded as she practically half raced him, reaching her side of the battlefield first, but released her Pokemon last. A Psychic-Type? Well, that was going to be easy. The points of the opponent shrink more if a Super-Effective hit gets placed, but even more if a not-very-effective or immune hit hits the opponent's Pokemon in a clever way. She wondered who she should release, but decided to go for her trusty Pangoro. Although, it seemed like this Alakazam wasn't going to be used for the battle, as he wasn't even in the battlefield. Who else could he throw out?

She decided not to wait and released her Pokemon from his ball, and he roared to life once the flash of the Poke Ball was gone. He towered over them, growling menacingly.

Butch and her Pangoro got ready, Pangoro's body quivering with ripped muscles underneath that black and white fur and hair, and Butch breathing in deeply, focusing herself on the task at hand.

The coach watched as everyone found a partner and made it to the battlefields. He inspected every single one, making sure there were no foul plays and taking note of each Pokemon that came out. He didn't want anybody to switch things up the next round.

Dylan grinned. So, Butch was sending out her Pangoro? An interesting bout, indeed. He tossed a Pokeball into the field as the device opened, a beam of blue light shooting onto the battlefield. The light morphed into a reptilian shape before dissipating in bright blue sparks, revealing Evindal, the only Pokemon Dylan had allowed the others he knew to see in action. The Sceptile roared with power is it faced Pangoro, eyes gleaming with amber fire. "I'll give you the first move," Dylan called out to Butch over the field, grinning.

Aria fished in her handbag for Flygon's Poké Ball. He was probably her best choice for an air to air fight with Volcorona, and she couldn't account for his other Pokémon since she didn't know them. She calmly walked to one side of the field and laid her bag down by her feet. "Well, shall we begin?"

Butch smirked at the invitation to move first, and called for her Pangoro to use a combination of Fire Punch and Ice Punch. Pangoro straightened itself up and smirked at the Sceptile before it. His right fist was cloaked in flames, while his left fist became encased in ice. Pangoro then smashed his fists together and there was a shower of steam coming from Pangoro, quickly enveloping the field. Pangoro used this to his advantage and he lunged toward the Sceptile, but then backed off, disappearing into the steam. Pangoro then reappeared on the other side of Sceptile, his Ice Punch ready and already being thrown at the Sceptile. Butch giggled a tad as she saw her wonderful Pokemon remembering his training. She wasn't particularly feeling happy, but more proud than anything else. Her giggle didn't sound okay though, it sounded slightly psychotic.

Dylan smirked. The Pangoro was good, he had to admit. The Pokemon certainly knew what he was doing, and Dylan suspected it was quite a difficult technique to master. Alas, it wouldn't work. "Evindal, Low Sweep!" The Sceptile silently complied as he bent backward ducked under the Ice Punch with almost exaggerated grace as if he were a dancer being dipped before getting up and retaliating. Evindal's fist became encased in a bright light before he swung it for a Low Sweep attack. The Sceptile aimed his fist at the Pangoro's belly, hoping to knock the wind out of the latter.

“Let’s begin,” Crimson said excitedly but calmly at the same time. Crimson still couldn’t tell what Pokémon he should send out. Luxray was out of the question as he couldn’t risk the possibility of Aria sending out her Ground-Dragon Flygon. Sharpedo was another difficult as he usually works well either on an Ice Battlefield, or in water. In this case, none of those fields were available for Crimson.

This left Crimson with either his Froslass or Volcarona. Froslass, being the newest member of his team could use some training. Plus the added quality of a type advantage against Flygon. Volcarona is a solid contender too. Knowing how to heal itself and has lots of experience of Contest Battles.

Crimson ultimately decided to go wth the Sun Pokemon. If Volcarona was weaker in types, Volcarona would show off its prowess in beauty standards. Crimson grabbed it’s pokeball once again. “Volcarona! Time to battle!” Crimson said calling out his Sun Pokemon. Once again, the giant moth fluttered on stage, ready to battle, after having it’s performance stage.

Aria smirked, letting her body fill with the pre-battle rush of adrenaline. Calmly, she raised both hands above her head, joining them, before letting Flygon's Poké Ball tumble to the floor and open up. "It's showtime, Flygon!"

The Spirit Pokémon materialized again, and the two spun around in sync. "Ladies first?" She asked Crimson.

Crimson Sun

Crimson smirked. "Why of course," the male said, taking the joke fairly well. "Volcarona! Quiver Dance!" The Sun Pokemon immediately flew into the air with a small cry, more like a buzz. Small fiery scales falling below, like their previous performance, Volcarona began glowing a white hue. Suddenly, orange glitter wasn't falling from Volcarona's wings anymore, but multicolored scales. Rainbow scales fell from Volcarona's wings, creating a small rainbow below Volcarona as it boosted it Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed simultaneously.

With the improved speed, Crimson immediately called out another move. "Silver Wind!" Crimson commanded. Still glowing a white hue, Volcarona quickly retreated to it's owner's side and blasted a powerful, white, silvery wind. The Silver Wind mixed in with the multicolored scale, thus changing the silver winds from a silver hue to a more vibrant rainbow wind. The Silver Wind shouldn't do too much damage to a Ground/Dragon type as Flygon, but should do some decent damage with the assistance of Quiver Dance.

Pangoro was met with a hard fist to the stomach. It would've sent him back if he hadn't tried grabbing for the fist in the first place. Regardless of whether he grabbed Evindal's fist or not, his right fist recloaked itself in flames and aimed right for Evindal's head. Butch looked over at the podium that showed off both Dylan's and her points in a circle. The yellow portion was how many points they had left, while the blue portion was how many points they lost. They all started with 100, and her points had gone down a bit after Evindal had stopped Pangoro from his steamy attack. She tried to see how many points Dylan had, but couldn't see for it was at an angle she couldn't read. If it were a real battle, the points would've been up on a huge screen right over the battle, so they can see each others' points. Interesting to note that most of the mist was on Dylan's side of the battlefield, so she wasn't even sure if he could see his own points for how misty it was over there. She just hoped Pangoro could do what he needed to do, since she couldn't exactly see him in the steam, nor help him because of her inability to see anything in the steam.

Since the steam had cloaked most of the battlefield, Dylan was unable to spectate the match, so he just had to trust that Evindal would be able to hold his own.

Evindal saw the flaming fist hurtling towards the side of his head from his periphery, and his eyes widened as he ducked again, this time bending forward as he just barely avoided the Fire Punch by a milimeter. The Sceptile roared as the elongated leaves on his forearms started to glow with an emerald light, increasing in length. He lunged forward and swung his Leaf Blade attacks with deadly precision and speed. Two were aimed at the Pangoro's abdomen, while the last one came in a diagonal arc, on a course to collide with the side of the opponent's head.

Flygon took the silver wind head-on, twisting around in it as she was buffeted by it. Eventually, Flygon righted herself and spread her wings, taking the gusts and attempting to use them to her advantage. The boosted power from the Quiver Dance meant that it only sort of worked, and Flygon took more damage than usual, but it was at least half-successful. After a quick assessment, Aria had an idea. "Flygon, use Sandstorm!"

Flygon rode the Silver Wind upwards, and then unleashed furls of sandy wind onto the field below, mixing with the silver wind to create a tornado of mostly sand, hopefully hiding Flygon from Crimson and partially obscuring Volcorona from whoever was watching.

Pangoro smirked at this close one-on-one combat, as this was what he excelled at. He could feel the Leaf Blade cut through his fur. He smirked, as he had a nasty surprise up his sleeve. His fur was infested with tiny insects, that immediately ran over the leaves on Sceptile. This was Pangoro's version of Infestation. The bugs fell off of his body and began to swarm around Sceptile's feet, trying to jump on him and nibble him. While this was going on, Pangoro's fingers glowed a little purple as he was getting ready for Poison Jab. He doesn't need to send his arm back to get the power, all the power was in quick movements for him. He held his two purple glowing fingers a little in front of him as he was getting ready to slam the poisonous claws into Sceptile.

The steam settled just slightly, and now both contenders can see the top half of Pangoro and a little bit of Sceptile's back. They could also see strange bugs swarming the ground near them as they tried to swarm all over Evindal.

Dylan frowned as he saw the legions of insects crawling around Evindal, nibbling at his skin and leaves. "Evindal, create a gap!" The Sceptile roared as his eyes flashed with a bright green hue. A green aura of energy surrounded Evindal, glowing so brightly that it caused the bugs to scatter. Evindal growled as the nodules on his back glowed brightly as well before he roared, unleashing a Solar Beam attack from his mouth, set on a course for Pangoro's torso, powerful enough to knock him back, which was the point.

Pangoro's Poison Jab was then interrupted, as he was sent back across the stage. He slid on the ground on his back, and Butch was a little upset. Mainly at the fact that Evindal got Goro to back off. That wasn't good. Goro got up rather quickly though, the Solar Beam doing a bit of damage, but it wasn't enough to exhaust him. Since his last move had failed to hit, his next move, Stomping Tantrum, was going to double in power. Even though Evindal was resistant to this Ground-Type attack, it would still do quite a ton of damage, plus Goro was planning on doing something else with the attack.

Goro stomped on the ground furiously, roaring aloud and creating a bit of a racket. The earth around him began to shift as it became loose and shifted about. Goro then stomped even more, throwing the earthen blocks into the air. There were now extremely large potholes in the battlefield, with the rocks being thrown in the air. With this, Pangoro jumped up and started to kick and punch these blocks toward Evindal. He's quick when it comes to reactions and side-stepping, but he's not fast when it comes to actually running, which was shown when he was super quick in hitting these rocks in the air toward Evindal and was able to side-step quickly to another one, but when he had to go across the other side of the battlefield, his running speed seemed to be half as much as his quickness. His Bullet Punch helped to speed him up though.

"Evindal! Knock those stones down with Dragon Claw!" The Sceptile growled as he managed to keep his balance on the shaking battlefield with some difficulty before stabilizing himself. His forearms and hands became encased in a glowing indigo light that materialized into sharp claws. The Sceptile's hands a bright blur, Evindal slashed at most of the stones that had been hurled toward him, breaking them into small fragments. He razed down the flying rocks with exaggerated grace, almost dancing as he cut them down in order to deplete more of Butch's points. Of course, some sharp rocks had gotten through the defense and collided with Evindal's body, and the Sceptile began to feel slight pangs of pain. In a matter of a few dozen seconds, fragments of rock collected on the ground in front of Evindal as Dylan gave his next command. "Now, Focus Blast, go!" A small but dense sphere of energy materialized inside Evindal's hand, slowly increasing in size until it was now a large crimson ball. The Sceptile roared as he spun around for extra momentum before flinging it with incredible speed at the now approaching Pangoro. The opponent's current velocity would prove a hindrance if Pangoro tried altering course to dodge the Focus Blast.

Goro, seeing his stones were all turned to rubble, saw the crimson orb began to form. He looked about without moving his head, trying to find anything he could use. He knew Focus Blast missed incredibly often, since he had it before he decided to forget it because it wasn't useful to him. He then remembered something, an attack he hadn't used in a long time. This was going to be rusty. Butch knew what he was going to do next, as she remembered his gestures he would do when doing this attack.

Goro's body began to glow with light blue aura, as the ground below started to shift. The aura then became red as he focused it in between his palms. As soon as the Focus Blast was released, he split the orbs into three, creating large boulders in front of him to tank the blow. The boulders had a red aura around them too, and he sent one on each side to zoom toward Evindal, while the middle one broke into little pieces from the Focus Blast hitting it. Rock Tomb was an interesting move to use in this scenario, and Butch hoped that there was a huge subtraction in Dylan's points from that. She looked over at hers and saw that with each boulder and stone broken from the Stomping Tantrum and the Rock Tomb, she lost points. Damn. As well with each blow Goro received, she lost a small fraction of her points. She couldn't see Dylan's points at all because of the angle, but hopefully she had more than him.

"Evindal, Leaf Blade." The leaves that lined the Sceptile's arms began to glow with a emerald and icy blue light before elongating even further into a shape similar to that of a pirate's cutlass. His arms seemed to move in a blur as he made a deft swing from inwards to outwards with both arms, cutting through the two boulders that had been hurtling toward him like a hot knife through butter. A full two seconds passed before the boulders burst into dust and sediment and fell to the ground as Evindal straightened up, flashing a smirk at Pangoro and shaking a finger left and right in a smug manner.

Pangoro and Butch were shocked. Oh no. Evindal was just amazing, not like Butch will ever admit. She peeked at her scores to see that her points were lower than Dylan's. Damn it! There has to be something else they could do! She peeked over and the simple hack and slash and the elongation of the leaves on Evindal's body had shortened her points even more. What was she going to do? Evindal was hardly hurt, so there was hardly any way Evindal would be knocked out that quickly. The bugs that were from Infestation had disintegrated upon contact with Evindal when he was charging up his Solar Beam. There was one move he was holding back, though. His last move.

He looked back at Butch, who nodded for him to use it. She was staring intently at the points, hoping nothing bad happens to her side. Goro walked forward a bit, then he went into a jog, then a run. He then stopped dead right before Sceptile. He smirked, looking down at him. He finally found an opponent worthy to fight him. Goro said something to Evindal, something he had never told anyone before. He told him in a series of grunts that he was worthy, and that was when Goro quickly side-stepped around Evindal, trying to confound him with his quickness. As soon as there was an opening, he dove forward, his claws glowing and extended for his Aerial Ace attack.

Evindal matched Pangoro's gaze and smirked back. He had to admit, he was actually caught off guard when the Pangoro suddenly darted to the side and lunged toward him with an Aerial Ace, and Dylan was surprised as well. Not having time to shout out a command, Dylan just had to hope that his partner would be able to pull through the sudden attack.

The Sceptile's head darted to the side, and his eyes widened as he managed to duck under the approaching claws by the narrowest gap. Using the Pangoro's momentum, Evindal grabbed hold of the swung arm with both hands and flung Pangoro into the air, his muscles straining with the effort. A dense sphere of glowing emerald energy began to form in Evindal's mouth as the Sceptile started to absorb sunlight for a final Solar Beam. After the mass of energy grew considerably large, Evindal roared loudly as he fired, the beam of energy set on a straight course for the now airborne Pangoro. The beam of energy suddenly began to spasm and morph into a roaring dragon speeding towards Pangoro before colliding with the opponent in a huge explosion of smoke and emerald sparks.

(Permission granted from me for Omnipotent Onion to auto my character for that moment.)

As Goro was thrown into the air, he roared helplessly as he saw the attack take shape and collide with him. The force sent him back down to the ground, making him land on the ground harshly. Butch, startled by such a show, looked over to her points. Not only was her Pokemon on the brink of being knocked out, but her points were completely depleted. She sighed, feeling as though she should've worked harder. She walked over to Goro and patted his head a couple times before returning him in silence.

To be honest with herself, she liked Dylan, but because she can't feel any kind of feelings for anyone, not even her friends or Pokemon, it was a confusing set of thoughts. These thoughts ranged from "Wow, he was really good" to "Damn, my reputation will be ruined". She finally settled on "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em". It was a really strange thought process, but for most of it, it was about joining Dylan and hopefully he doesn't get in the way of her hate streak and she could get strong off of him.

Even though she can be quite mean, especially to other girls, she does have some sportsmanship. She merely said a "You did well" to Dylan before crossing her arms, but her stance seemed quite relaxed. She looked around to see what needed to be done, and it seemed that everyone who had finished had gone to the coach, who was telling them to go to a healing station near the class entrance to heal their Pokemon. She walked over there, intent on healing her Pangoro before they get thrown to anything else.

“Oh no,” Crimson couldn’t help but gasp at the sand storm that was brewed up by the Flygon. Volcarona’s rainbow scales scattered everywhere, leaving a mess on Crimson’s part. Although the sand storm was glistening and showing off the Desert Dragon Flygon more than the Sun Volcarona.

The difficult part was, Crimson wasn’t able to spot Volcarona. The poor giant moth was pelted by sand. Crimson could only catch glimps of his Pokemon before the storm covered up the giant bug once again. Crimson got annoyed and gave an exasperated sigh. In a desperate attempt, the male called out to the Sun Pokemon. “Volcarona, Morning Sun!” Despite the howling storm, the bug was able to pick up it’s trainer’s voice and glowed immediately.

Morning Sun simultaneously healed Volcarona from the Sandstorm but also allowed Crimson to spot where the giant bug was. An Red-Orange glow cake from the eye of the storm, and Crimson knew that’s where Volcarona was. Crimson thought what to do next, on a time crunch. “Let’s fight fire with fire,” Crimson exclaimed. In other terms, fight a storm, with your own storm. “Hurricane!”

Volcarona ended it’s glowing hue as it’s eyes glowed for a bit. With a giant flap of its wings, a tornado formed in the middle of the battle field. The hurricane quickly dissipated the Sandstorm. Volcarona decided to add its own twist and began twirling in the eye of the storm. Fiery scales falling as it’s signature move. Quiver Dance had ended it’s colorful hue, but Volcarona still had it’s boosts. The scales caught onto the hurricane as the tornado sparkled orange bits.

Dylan grinned and rubbed Evindal's neck as the latter emitted a low growl of satisfaction. "Great job, buddy." He smiled warmly and nodded to Butch. "Likewise. It was a good match." Dylan watch Butch had to the medical station and sighed before looking around, his hands on his hips. He chuckled to himself and headed to the medical station as well after beaming Evindal to his Pokeball, approaching Butch. "That's quite a Pangoro you have there. Hois amount of control during the battle was pretty impressive."

Aria grimanced. Crimson was good, and she was having difficulty keeping up. She could try Sandstorm again, but with the upgraded power from Quiver Dance it was probably pointless. She had to get rid of the hurricane somehow, but she wasn't sure she could conjure up an attack strong enough, thanks to Quiver Dance. She could try and have Flygon use Dragon Dance to match Volcorona's speed, but she couldn't leave the hurricane on the field. Maybe... wait!

"Flygon, try a Defog, then Dragon Dance!"

Flygon flapped her wings a few times, creating a gust of wind that entered the hurricane and quickly dissipated it to the sides of the battlefield. Before the mist could clear fully, Flygon's body glowed red and she spun around, gaining heightened speed and attack power.

Crimson's brown orbs widened in worry. All his tactics were demolished as soon as soon as that Hurricane disappeared. He wanted to do so much more with that Hurricane, but he now had to move on to another combination. Another worry on his mind now though, is that Flygon has currently heightened it's Attack and Speed. Volcarona doesn't have much on it's Defensive Stats. The only thing protecting Volcarona from physical contact is it's ability Flame Body, in which burns the target that attacks Volcarona physically. It's better to stay on the safe side for now.

"Volcarona, retreat and use Heatwave," Crimson called out to the giant moth. In a buzzing frenzy, Volcarona quickly flew back over to it's trainer's side and blasted a flurry of flames at Flygon. With the Special Attack boost, it should do solid damage even to a resistant Dragon-Ground Type. "Silver Wind behind the Heat Wave!" While blasting the spews of flame, the Sun Pokemon flapped it's wings to disperse the flames to make it harder for Flygon to dodge. Not only that, but the added particle affects of Silver Wind allowed the Heat Wave to glisten during it's forceful attack.

Flygon reeled in the flames, taking far more damage than Aria was comfortable with. She couldn't keep up with a supercharged Volcarona for much longer, but she had a few more tricks up her sleeve.

"Flygon, use Rock Slide around yourself! Then, you need to escape!"

Flygon obeyed, surrounding itself with falling rocks and shielding it from the heat wave. More and more rocks were added to the pile, until the pile abruptly collapsed, revealing that Flygon had vanished.

Crimson Sun

Previously Crims0n
Crimson was anxious now. The Flygon has suddenly disappeared and Crimson had no time to scan the whole arena to deal with it. So, he though of the next best thing he and Volcarona can do for the time being. “Volcarona, stack a Quiver Dance!”

The giant Fire/Bug Type buzzed and quickly did its best to pull of another stat booster. It did take a while to do though, which left Volcarona a by vulnerable for the time being. Though this was necessary to outspeed the Flygon.

Aria smirked, the battle was hers to lose now! With Volcorona Vulnderable, Flygon could strike at any minute.

"Flygon, finish this off!"

Quickly, Flygon burst through the ground from directly under Volcorona, striking it once in the air, then turning around and smacking it with her tail to send Volcorona smashing to the ground. The boost from Dragon Dance, combined with surprising Volcorona like that, proved to be enough to knock Volcorona out. Victory was hers, and dominance was assured. She had nothing to worry about here! But, now to put on her gracious winner face.

"Aha! Great match, Crimson! And amazing job, Flygon!" She ran over and embraced her Flygon before returning her to her Poké Ball, and extending her hand to Crimson. "Sorry about the knockout."

“Volcarona, return,” Crimson said with a twinge of disappointment in his voice. The male longingly stared at Volcarona’s Pokeball, quickly reanalyzing what went wrong in battle and how he could fix it next time. Putting the Pokeball away a few moments later, Crimson walked up to Aria waving to her slightly. “Great battle out there!” Crimson complimented the Kalosian. “You really know what you’re doing! Flygon was amazing out there. Hope we can work together more in the future!” Crimson walked off to the healing machine that was displayed beside the class’ door to heal the Sun Pokemon. He then sat down with everyone else, watching the rest of the battles clean up after his and Aria’s.

After about 10 minutes of the battles wrapping up and everyone healing their Pokemon at the stations, he blew into his whistle harshly to get everyone's attention. His face became tomato red as he blew into the whistle, this harsh sound not ceasing for 5 whole seconds, which seemed like an eternity as it hurt most of the student's ears. As for Butch though, she didn't seem phased by it, mainly because she would usually destroy her ears by playing loud music from her ear buds.

After everyone huddled around the coach, the coach began to echo his voice throughout the gym, even though he was surrounded. "Alright! Now that we are done, I want you and your partner to use the same Pokemon you have used in your last battle and find another pair of people to fight against. Teamwork is key, especially when you have to fight against your enemy. Now, find a pair of partners, and have at it! Don't disappoint!"

With that, Butch looked over to Aria and Crimson. She didn't mind battling Crimson, but she wanted to show Aria she was better than her in every way. She elbowed Dylan in the ribs a little too harshly, and whispered to him that maybe it would be a good idea to fight against Aria and Crimson.

Dylan, not too fazed by the shrill whistle or the elbow, heard the names Crimson and Aria. He turned toward them to see the latter looking at Dylan and Butch before turning away to tell her partner something. "Sure, it'll be an interesting bout." Dylan put his hands in his pockets and approached Crimson and Aria, a friendly grin on his face as he waved briefly. "Hey, guys. Would you like to battle me and Butch? I'm sure it'll be a great fight."

Crimson’s head perked, gearing the duos will be fighting against other pairs. So that would mean, Crimson is still paired with Aria for a while. His thoughts were interrupted by Aria, who suggested they duo fight Dylan and Butch. Two fearsome does indeed.

As Crimson was just about to answer, Dylan’s voice interrupted this time, asking Aria and Crim for a battle. Simultaneously answering both Aria and Dylan’s question, Crim have a simple answer. Short and sweet. “Sure! It’ll be fun!” Crimson said enthusiastically.

Crimson pulled Aria to the side for a bit, making sure they were not in hearing range of Butch or Dylan. “Do you have any solid ideas on what to do,” Crimson asked. “They’re pretty tough competitors.” Both Volcarona and Flygon has the height advantage, but that was really it. Though they can boost themselves too due to Quiver Dance and Dragon Dance respectively.

Dylan grinned and nodded before turning around and making his way back to Butch. "Sounds great! Good luck!" He called over his shoulder as he walked back to his partner and flashed a thumbs up. "We're go for the 2v2. So, Crimson I think is using his Volcarona, while Aria'll send out her Flygon, I believe. Do we need a game plan, or should we just go right in?" He wasn't gonna lie, Dylan not only was quite excited about the match that would occur, but he was also confident that he and Butch could emerge victorious.

Aria stepped a little closer to Crimson. "Well, if we're all using the same Pokémon as before, your Volcorona is going to be super-effective against that Sceptile of Dylan's, and won't do too bad against Butch's Pangoro, so I think you should try and take out Sceptile and then we can team up on Pangoro. Flygon can keep Pangoro busy until then, or hide Volcorona while it Quiver Dances. How does that sound?"
