How about this.

Anyone can purchase basic/passive/lesser tm’s for a fairly low price. Say 500 P.

Then as you gain badges, you can show them to a shopkeeper to gain access to more advanced tm’s/hm’s. But as you do so, the price increases.

We could say this a way for shopkeeper to judge if there selling an advanced item to an inexperienced trainer.
I think this could be worked around by making the shopkeepers force trainers show their trainer card every time they want to purchase a TM. Because they cant know how many badges a trainer has just by looking at them.

And what’s wrong with betting on Pokémon battles like the cock-fighting style going on in the games?

Edit: The idea was you show the shopkeep your badges when you intend to buy advanced tm’s.
May be a bit inappropriate for this site, but Im all for the betting on matches. I could also see cage matches being held by the criminal teams and whoever loses gets their pokemon stolen.

Hmm, sounds good. But there are those who aren't doing Gyms or Contests

I mean, if your not taking the league or participating in contest, why would one assume your skilled enough to handle those attacks?

There’s gotta be some logic behind it, or selling a Hyper Beam to a ten year old who just stole his father’s Ursaring and wallet would be a situation you might hear about.

I'm personally a fan of this idea

Please to check the first post of the thread.

I added Aquamarine City (next town & the first gym)

I also added a few ideas of my own, they're in italics and have question marks at the end. Comment on them and we'll change or remove them based on the ensuing discussion.

Also, you'll note that the Seafare Pokemon List has been updated with more Pokemon. It now consists of 3 Biomes: Ocean, Urban, and Beach.

I've also added some water types to the respective Biomes that weren't present before: Tympole, Wimpod, Pyukumuku, etc.

The new list now contains 51 Pokemon:

I'll probably add Pokemon to the Biomes again tmrw, and then try to cobble something up for route one.

Oh, and the Map has also been added to the first post.

Oh yeah those are fun ideas, Fishing guru would be a good way for those who didn't bring a fishing rod to get one and the Lure master sound really fun. Fishing robs also wouldn't just be handed out so and having to complete certain requierments to get them is interesting. I think those are good additions.

So I fumbled around with geography a bit just to get some environments in:

Geminos_Map.jpg

(created by me w/ Inkarnate)

Of course, this isn't the official map, that's a different one on the first page. This map just adds mountains and desert.

The idea was that the Mountains are so high they block rainfall and so that area dried out.

In any case though, with the Zandy/Shen team already talking about Aquamarine City, I think it's about time we talked about the 4th Town. Any Ideas in mind?
