Open Galarian Star Journey

RP: https://pokecharms.com/threads/galarian-star-journey.24298/

[RP is open! Bring on the Characters!]

NOTICE! Please actually READ THE RULES AND BIO of this RP.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Pokemon. Specifically the Galar Region, home to hundreds of Pokemon and one of the grandest leagues in the world, The Galar Pokemon League! To enter the league is simple, take the Gym Challenge and defeat all 8 Gym Leaders and enter the League Tournament in order to compete for the title of Champion. The current reigning Champion is Leon, the undefeated master alongside his Charizard who burns brightly at the chance to battle.

However, the Gym Challenge is not the only attraction of the Galar Region, there are also Action Contests. Action Contests are similar to the contests of Hoenn and Sinnoh, however, they also combine the elements from Pokemon Showcases in Kalos. In an Action Contest Trainers will participate alongside their Pokemon on a holographic stage where they must put on a show alongside their Pokemon, while also battling to subtract points from their opponent. Winners of these Action Contests will receive an Action Ribbon, and after collecting five ribbons, they may compete in the Wyndon Grand Festival.

Let's get on with the Rules now:
1 ) Follow the Pokemon Role Play Rules
2 ) No Megas or Z-Moves (if GF cut them so will I)
3 ) Your character may start with a Dynamax Band, provided background to it is given.
4 ) Pokemon caught in the RP may only be from the Galar Dex (and their expansions), however, starter Pokemon may be from any region.
5 ) No Fakemon
6 ) No Fake G-Max Forms
7 ) Only four moves may be used for battle
8 ) Avoid TDIP!! (read this for info: https://pokecharms.com/threads/the-dodge-it-problem.24227/#post-894389 )
9 ) Make sure you include everything under Character Sheet, not including it makes it seem more as though one has not read through the rules and thus cares less about the RP. (Added: 2021-05-19)

4/28/2021: The tone of this RP is much lighter and similar to the anime. Meaning more edgy/darker character backstories I am less likely to accept.

My Name
Name: Alito
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Looks: Alito wears a white sweater with gold-colored trims along the ends of his sleeves and along the sides of the zipper. Under his sweater, Alito wears a black t-shirt with a silhouette of Leon and his infamous pose. Alito always keeps his trusty blue backpack with him, a small Charizard keychain hanging from the zipper. Alito wears long gray track pants with red lace-up shoes. Alito has jet black hair and green eyes.
Personality: Alito is a fairly new trainer, he's very energetic and always ready to try out new things. Alito will often strike Leon's infamous pose whenever something great happens to him such as catching a Pokemon, winning a battle, or just when he wants to look cool. Alito has quite a bit of experience when it comes to Fighting-type Pokemon, as he was a Fighting-type Gym Trainer before, his battling style mainly consists of using their opponent's weight and force against them, but this style of battling doesn't work for every Pokemon and because of that Alito often struggles to train non-Fighting-Type Pokemon. Alito also has some insecurities that follow him, he often feels pressured to win every battle he can as he was raised under Bea, the Fighting-Type Gym Leader, and because of this, losing a battle hurts quite a lot, causing him to believe he was never worth training Pokemon in the first place.
Hometown & Region: Stow-on-Side, Galar
Backstory: Alito was raised in Stow-on-Side by his loving parents, both of which were Stow-on-Side Fighting-Type Gym Leaders. Alito grew up idolizing Gym Leaders and the strength that their Pokemon wielded. Alito's favorite part of any Gym Battle when he was young, was watching the Pokemon Dynamax as the stadium would shake with energy and excitement. Originally Alito never wanted to pursue a greater title, he just wanted to a Fighting-Type Gym Trainer, learning under the leader and maybe someday becoming the Gym Leader himself. His parents gave him a Riolu on the day he would start training. Alito spent a year training under Bea, where she taught him and Riolu how to use their opponent's force against them. It was during his first year as a Gym Trainer that Alito waited excitedly, he battled a lot, but when he lost he would smile, knowing it was the chance to get better. There was one trainer that really took his breath away, a trainer with long purple hair and a Charizard by his side. Alito was just in awe at the trainer who would soon be recognized as Leon, the Galar Region's Champion. 5 years passed as Alito continued working as a Gym Trainer until the championships where he would cheer on Leon as much as he could. However, as Alito watched the latest championship, he watched as Bea lost early on. From that loss, the Stow-on-Side Gym was converted into a Ghost-Type Gym for the new leader Alistar. Alito and Riolu became furious, how could the League change their Gym just like that. Alito then promised to rise up and be as strong as Leon someday, so he could show the Stow-on-Side Gym the respect it deserved.
Goal: To participate and win the Galar League so that he can bring fame to Stow-on-Side after he feels it was disrespected. He intends to do this by training to get stronger and participating in the Galar League.

Oooh. this looks fuuun. Gonna use an OC of mine that has grown on me, a TON.
Character Sheet:
Name: Athena Skye
Age: 15
Hometown & Region: Sandgem Town Sinnoh
Personality: A very sleepy girl who is at the same time is very smart. Though she has little to no motivation. Not necessarily lazy, but she does the bare minimum whenever she can. Due to her proper type of speaking, she can be seen as cold or mean, but she isn't. Though she is a bit anti social. Her favorite types are ghost types
Appearance: Two dark brown, long fluffy pigtails (think Emma from Pokemon X and Y). She's mixed, and 5'2'. She's average in all of her body. Not, skinny, but not plump. Not athletic, but not twiggy. Her casual outfit is a long sleeve purple blouse, a brown skirt, and dark brown loafers (in colder months).
Picrewの「Character Creator」でつくったよ! https://picrew.me/share?cd=bCVgTc2V9o (Character Creator) #Picrew #Character_Creator
Backstory: She's Professor Rowan's assistant. She was great in her class and graduated trainer school, there was one problem though. She doesn't like battling. She's never shown interest in most things but battling is the most boring thing to her. She loved pokemon though and wanted to be a pokemon trainer, (and she showed no interest in being a coordinator either) so she was stuck in a rut. One day she was approached by a certain professor. Professor Rowan. After 4 years of work, Professor Rowan let her pick one region of her choosing to go on a research project of her choosing. She chose the Galar region.
Goal: Her main goal is to collect one of every Galarian Form

Name: Donald Morris
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Looks: Donald stands at 5'7" with fair skin, Purple colored eyes and dull Violet short hair. His attire consists of a White shirt under a Blue jacket with Black fur linings, Black pants, Brown sneakers and a Black fedora.
Personality: Donald is a calm and friendly individual if a bit flamboyant at times, believing style to be very important. He always enjoys making new friends and seeing the beauties of the world. If someone tries to insult him or his friends, he won't hesitate to talk back and show a more sassy side, he despises getting dirty and is easily frustrated by defeat.
Hometown & Region: Spikemuth, Galar
Backstory: Born and raised in the run down town of Spikemuth, Donald's life was a rough one because of the types of people residing there. He always enjoyed going shopping with his mother, especially clothe shopping and discovering different styles. One day when he was watching tv, he noticed Leon and his sense of style which fascinated the young Donald, igniting his desire to become a Pokemon trainer, but the following night, Donald's home was invaded... by a rather frightened Sobble. Donald managed to calm down the timid Water type and decided to have him become his Pokemon, it was a rocky start because of how timid the little guy was, but he slowly warmed up to the would-be trainer and gained a liking for style as well, slowly becoming more and more confident... although he still has a long way to go. When Donald was finally ready to become a trainer, he was endorsed by Piers and first stopped at Professor Magnolia's lab to get his Pokedex, which he got alongside a Dynamax band.
Goal: To beat Leon and become the next Champion of Galar... and style.

I'm very interested in playing. I'm assuming this is just a journey through Galar with an added fusion of Pokemon Performances and Contests added in with the Gym Challenge.

How tough do you want the first Pokemon to be?

Considering I'm going to be making a new character for this, I do want my character to have a Pokemon before she goes to Galar. She has already been through hell and back with this Pokemon, is slightly older, and she will never part ways with this Pokemon. It's either going to be a Charizard or an Alolan Raichu (don't know which). How low "leveled" do the Pokemon need to be? Just so I can figure out what age I should make this character and how tough to make her Pokemon.

Also, clarification on the rules for the moves. So can our Pokemon use more than 4 moves outside of battle, but they can only use 4 moves total within a battle? (I mean, that can set up some hijinks if trainers/characters are not paying attention and end up only using 4 Status moves in combat before using an attack XD but that's just me).

@Merciless Medic the strength of your Pokemon is up to you, there's no real restrictions on how to want to build your character. As for the clarification on the rules it's just so that way people aren't calling out 8 moves in a battle like Ash's Snorlax. If it goes to five moves every once in a while I don't mind, but if someone starts calling out a new move every post and it gets out of hand, then there may be an issue. (TL;DR just don't go Mary Sue Mode).

@XxMrNinjaxX @Red Gallade and @Crystal1302 you are all accepted

Here's the starting post when everyone's ready: https://pokecharms.com/threads/galarian-star-journey.24298/

I was also wondering if my character can actually have two Pokemon. One is for the ride and has been with her for forever, but she won't actually use her in battle. The other Pokemon is one she has caught in Galar or was gifted as a Starter in Galar to then go on a journey with.

If I wanted my character to do Action Contests and partake in the Grand Festival, would my character have to be endorsed by anyone? Like how a trainer needs to be endorsed to participate in the Galar Pokemon League?

Hehe, okay changed the idea for my character. Time to bring out my absolute favorite OC from another site and a rival later.

From what I looked at, it seems like the Gym Challenge in the Stadium isn't exactly all that different, with just a few aesthetic changes to fit the type proficiency of the gym leader. In Stow-on-Side, the stuff coming at you as you descend in the spinning teacup are either boxing gloves (for Bea) or ghoulish hands (for Allister). In Circhester, you have to go through a maze with either a sandstorm (Gordie) or a blizzard (Melony) is going through. Also, the aesthetic and symbol shone above the doorway changes depending on either gym leader, so we could have screens and other such stuff to change the color with a literal push of a button.

Name: Reginald "Reggie" "Reg" Valerias
Gender: Male / Straight
Age: 16
Looks: Reggie has blonde hair that is combed back, bright sapphire eyes, pale skin, and is 5'11" (180 cm) and weighs 160 lbs (72.57 kg) of moderate muscle he accumulated during his journey in Unova. He usually wears something pretty close to travel-okay business casual clothing. He has dark grey dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, a purple trainer belt with PokeBall slots, a dark purple dress shirt, and a green XTransceiver on his right wrist. He also has a simple black phone that should have a Rotom, but is fit with a sim card instead. Finishing off his look, he has a black dress coat with golden cuff buttons and a yellow and red striped bowtie. He occasionally wears a black trilby with a red sash around the base. He absolutely loves his trilby and will make sure it doesn't get damaged or lost. For more casual clothes when he knows he'll get dirty, he has black combat boots, baggy dark grey pants, a simple t-shirt with an archaic Giratina design, his purple trainer belt, and a grey coat with red and black stripes on the front, yellow spiked pockets and cuffs, and the hoodie has yellow fluff around the hood's edges. Wherever he goes, he has a large ruddy red camping backpack on his back that holds items for a small pot, a small tent, bowls, utensils, rations, extra clothes, hygiene equipment, rope, and other such items used for a Pokemon Journey that isn't just survival.
Personality: Reggie is a very exuberant young man. He swings his arms around every which way to convey his emotions in what seems to be frantic motions, but they aren't meant to show panic. No, they are meant to show his unending excitement and make him something to stare at. He didn't care if people stared at him for negative or neutral reasons, he just cared he had a spotlight on him. With his Gastly sharing this same sentiment, the shininess factor and Reggie's loud and attention-grabbing antics make them the star of almost any show and they both drink up the attention people give them. When around people, he is extremely sweet and loyal to anyone who wants to be his friend, and he gains friends quickly - or at least becomes the other person's friend quickly, despite the other person not reciprocating the platonic relationship. He tries to get to know people as well as he can and will sacrifice the stuff he wants to make sure his friends are happy, and he is quick to defend his friends, leading to some misunderstandings if he's not careful to judge people's faces and reactions to each other. He does have two sides to him. The normal rambunctious side of him is the side most people see. The more stoic and professional side of him are ones that business people see. Whenever he meets someone who is high up in the "ladder", he tends to adopt a more professional way of speaking and acting, forgoing most slang and his cheery attitude for something more polite and respectable. His voice is pretty baritone, but he can reach to the heights of tenor if he gets really excited. He is also becoming something of a lady's man and tries to charm women around his age. It isn't for any reason than to make the woman feel good about themselves while he flirts with them, trying to lift their spirits and make them smile. He understands he isn't everyone's type, but he does his best to sacrifice his feelings, time, and energy to make sure people around him are happy. However, you insult him when he thinks you are his friend and he'll get very paranoid about whether or not he's going to be your friend still, to the point where the paranoia eats away at him and it ends up destroying the relationship when it could have gotten better if he didn't freak out so much. If you aren't his friend and you mean it when you insult him, he just insults back in a coy, smug manner because he has no time for such silliness and is self-confident enough to not be persuaded by mere jabs from a stranger. Though, he will forgive a stranger for the comments they have said before easier than if a long-time friend were to try and make up for their comments and attitudes.
Hometown & Region: Technically Sinnohan, as he was born in Hearthome City, Sinnoh. But, shortly after his birth, his family moved to Opelucid City, Unova. Lived there up until he wanted to start his journey.
Backstory: Reggie, as he would prefer anyone call him (even in a business casual setting), was born in Hearthome City, Sinnoh before being taken to Opelucid City, Unova to live out the rest of his childhood. He desperately wanted to go on an adventure and dreamed of a chance for his parents to be brave enough to send him out. While his childhood was peaceful and filled with teachings of both history of the Pokemon World, the different region's histories, learning of myths and legends, as well as having some close encounters that would mark him as a Medium for the rest of his life, he wanted to go outside and explore. Have an adventure. Have some fun. His parents wanted him to grow up the least sheltered as possible, but soon regretted it as he would constantly talk about going on adventures and defeating strong opponents. Most of the tournaments he watched on the television and his actions mirroring that of the Pokemon were enough to possibly make his mother faint if it weren't for her more difficult journies as an up-and-coming Pokemon Trainer and finding her son's rambunctious hijinks endearing. His father was basically as close as you can get to an aristocrat. He had lots of money and did his best to make sure his family lived comfortably. He never flaunted it, but instead flaunted his fashion sense and exuberant energy that his son emulated and turned the dial up to 11. Once Reggie was ten, he thought about which Pokemon he wanted. His favorite was by far a Gastly, but it wasn't a Starter Pokemon. Not having the foresight to see this sooner, he lost his motivation to go on a journey and began to focus solely on his academic life. He was the only one in his class to not have a Pokemon partner that was truly his, not just a Mimikyu or a Polteageist from his parents. Finally, when he was fifteen (and after his parents saved up as much as they could), they bought Reggie his first Pokemon. A Shiny Gastly. The boy was so ecstatic. His parents didn't need to get him a Shiny Gastly, but they felt bad that their son didn't get his favorite Pokemon when he was ten, so they made up for it by saving enough to buy him a special one. Reggie sent his sights in his home region, Unova, to settle on an adventure. He was two badges in, but decided that Galar was more interesting, especially with the Action Contests appealing his almost obnoxious nature. He flew to Galar, hoping to start his journey over and get some interesting Pokemon.
Goal: He wants to get into the Galar League, but wouldn't mind dabbling into the the Action Contests as he has quite the flamboyant energy for it. He does want to prove himself and his family that he can take care of himself out there, though, which is why he wants to do the Gym Challenge. Flaunting his flamboyancy is just a perk of the journey.
What does TDIP stand for: I have made a couple posts on there but, to humor you, "The 'Dodge It' Problem".

Pokemon
Species: Shiny Gastly - [TYPE]Ghost[/TYPE][TYPE]Poison[/TYPE]
Nickname: Emeric
Ability: Levitate - Emeric is immune to damaging Ground-type moves (except Thousand Arrows but who really has seen/has a Zygarde?). It also is unaffected by the effects of Arena Trap, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller, and terrain (Electric, Misty, Psychic, and Grassy). Additionally, Emeric cannot remove Toxic Spikes upon switching in. These immunities are lost during Gravity or if Emeric is holding an Iron Ball, is under the effects of Ingrain, or has been hit by Smack Down or Thousand Arrows (again, who even has a Zygarde to utilize this?).
Current Moves:
  • Shadow Ball - [TYPE]Ghost[/TYPE] | Special | Taught by father's Polteageist | Emeric creates a ghostly ball of shadow energy before expelling it towards the target. It has a small chance to lower the elemental/ranged defenses of the opponent. It cannot damage those who have the Ability Bulletproof. Emeric can't do anything special with this move just yet except for letting it explode prematurely in the air to make a cool dark halo effect.
  • Dazzling Gleam - [TYPE]Fairy[/TYPE] | Special | Taught by mother's Mismagius | Emeric creates a dazzlingly bright light that can affect both foes in a double battle. The flash of light can be used as a non-attack, using it to cover Emeric's tracks as he moves somewhere else. He can also use this and expel it at his slowed Shadow Ball in the air or towards another object/Pokemon/attack, making it explode prematurely or upon impact to create a sparkling rainbow effect. He can also use it on himself to make himself look iridescent for a moment. It can't be reliably used to see in the dark for long periods of time, but it can be useful to see a flash of the surroundings.
  • Hypnosis - [TYPE]Psychic[/TYPE] | Status | Self-taught | Emeric creates a suggestive psychic wave that can put the opponent to sleep. Due to Hypnosis having other effects in the anime, I do want to implement possible mind suggestion that makes them do simple actions, but once awaken or hit by an attack, the suggestion to do an action (that isn't necessarily against their moral standards) will cease and the Pokemon can't be suggested to do anything else but sleep if Emeric wants to use Hypnosis on them again. Emeric uses this on Reggie when he can't seem to sleep.
  • Dream Eater - [TYPE]Psychic[/TYPE] | Special | Taught by mother's Mismagius | Emeric goes to the opponent and a purple-pink mist comes from their head as he eats it, replenishing his stamina and healing minor to moderate wounds sustained in combat. This cannot be used if Emeric is under the effects of Heal Block and the healing effects of this move can be reversed if the opponent has Liquid Ooze as an ability. If holding a Big Root, the healing effects get stronger. Happier dreams taste sweeter than nightmares, but Emeric isn't a species of the Drowzee or the Munna line, so the bitter taste of nightmares aren't all that strong when he eats them. He can only do this when someone is sleeping. He can also instill sweet, dreamless sleep if he eats Reggie's dreams, allowing his trainer to sleep peacefully and without any fits or sleepless nights. Of course, he can only use this when Emeric is awake himself, so Reggie tends to allow Emeric a long nap during the day (which works because Emeric can't sleep well during night due to his species being primarly nocturnal). Due to Emeric's sleep schedule, Reggie tends to travel during afternoons and evenings.

HAH forgot to list off what he looks like in terms of eye color, hair color and style, and height/weight XD whoops. Will edit that in a moment.

EDIT: Fixed it :3

Other notes I forgot to mention: Reggie has constant nightmares and he can see the spirits of the dead and sense the presence of other Ghost-Types. Due to knowing about what Drifblim do to people when they take them and what Dusknoir does to help lost souls, he takes death and spirits very seriously and reverently, and he prefers Ghost-Types due to sympathy. It is his one type proficiency, but he will have other types of Pokemon.

Character Sheet
Name: Lucas Gayle
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Looks: Lucas stands at a 5'7", being pretty tall for a 15 year old. With an average build and a round face, Lucas has naturally curled brown locks that is parted down the middle and complementary hazelnut eyes. To cover is slightly fairer skin, Lucas has on a color block plaid hoodie; Divided in three sections, the hood is grey on the outside and a yellow-cream plaid on the inner lining, the body of the hoodie has a forest green plaid pattern, and the bottom of the hoodie and sleeves has a red-and-blue plaid. To contrast his chaotically colorful top, Lucas wears plain dark blue jeans and a simple pair of black running shoes. To hold his necessities, such as clothes, medication, etc., Lucas carries a black and gray single strap backpack that is slung across his chest and held by his right shoulder.
Personality: Lucas embodies a very Leo personality. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you believe in astrology, you can see many of the Leo energy the boy radiates. He is always a positive young trainer, trying to brighten the mood and bringing both fun and energy to wherever he goes. Of course, he is also quite the self-centered trainer. He likes to show-off and garner all the attention to himself when it's the right moment. Hence, why Lucas always enjoyed performances. He gets a little grumpy when people don't pay attention to him, being the attention seeker he is, and can be real lazy and unmotivated when it comes to stuff that doesn't peak his interest. Not to mention he doesn't take losses and "No's" very well. However when he has a goal in mind, Lucas can become quite passionate and driven to accomplish his goal.
Hometown & Region: Hearthome City, Sinnoh Region
Backstory: Born and raised in the Sinnoh Region's very own Hearthome City, Lucas admired the way coordinators had always showcased their Pokemon's grace. And as with many children, they always have ambitious dreams. Lucas was no different, wanting to become some sort of popular icon, whether it be his own region or perhaps the world itself. Lucas has experience with Pokemon Contests before within the Sinnoh Region, not to mention his local role model Fantina always showing off her Pokemon's style and grace gave him much knowledge on contests. Lucas however wasn't able to garner enough ribbons to partake in the Grand Festival, especially not with only using a singular Pokemon the whole time: his trusty Gible. It's a surprise how only a Gible was able to help him win 3 ribbons, but it's unfortunate he didn't make enough. He then wanted to try to head to Kalos for their local Pokemon Showcases, but suddenly, with word breaking out that Action Contests had become a thing, Lucas had decided the first region he will accomplish his goal would be the region of Galar. And there, the latter decided to make a goal of making a name for himself there first before anywhere else.
Goal: Lucas's goal is to participate in the Galar's Action Contests to make a name for himself. But that doesn't mean he'll only do that, he may participate in Leagues as well just to broaden his horizon's and have a higher chance of popularity.

Name: Luna Fox
Gender: Female
Age: 14, but almost 15
Looks: Luna is 5'3, with long light brown hair that comes down to her back and hazel eyes. She usually dresses casually and will wear anything normal. But most of the time, she wears a simple pink T-shirt with blue jeans. She has a small backpack where she keeps her Pokedex, items, potions, Pokeballs and her few TMs she collected.
Personality: Luna is quite shy, and gets nervous when talking to other people. She's never been nervous on stage, however. She has a bright personality. She can also be very clumsy, dropping everything she's holding. Luna loves to play with her Pokemon and loves to bake. Her only problem is easily panicking.
Home city: Lumiose city, Kalos
Backstory: Luna doesn't have much of a backstory. She competed in the Kalos showcases a few months back. She made it into the semifinals, but unfortunately lost. Hearing about an action contest in Galar, she travelled there in hope of being better at contests.
Goal: Luna's dream is to be a good coordinator. She doesn't intend to battle in the league, since its not her cup of tea. She desperately wants to do well in the action contest.
Pokemon:

Species:
Eevee
Gender: Female
Ability: Adaptability - STAB (Same type attack bonus) is x2 instead of 1.5 So, Eevee's normal moves do 2x damage
Nature: Hasty
Current Moves:
Shadow Ball- Special - Ghost
Charm - Status - Fairy
Dig - Physical - Ground
Hyper Voice -Special - Normal (Boosted by Adaptability)
Personality: Eevee is more social than Luna. It likes interacting with others, and has a really outgoing personality... unlike Luna who gets nervous around people. Eevee is actually impatient and likes to do things quickly.
Species: Swirlix
Gender: Male
Ability: Sweet Veil
Nature: Jolly
Current Moves:
Sticky Web - Status - Bug
Draining Kiss - Special - Fairy
Flamethrower - Special - Fire
Fake Tears - Status - Dark
Personality: Swirlix is a cheerful, happy Swirlix who loves sweets. It has a passion for discovering new sweets. Unlike Luna, it has a knack for battle and enjoys battling. That's why Luna uses Swirlix for most of her battles. Like most Swrlix, it becomes irritable if it doesn't get enough sugar.

Edit: Even though it's a bit late, I edited her info on looks since I feel like it wasn't specific enough :3

Age: 14
Looks: Trevor stands at the height of 5’2. On most occasions he wears a light blue shirt with khakis and orange shoes. Trevor has straight brown hair and a round face. He also has the very rare color of yellow eyes.
Personality: Trevor is an enthusiastic person who has had Pokémon surrounded by him most of his life. He wants to make friends with any kinds of people and Pokémon, even if they may not like them, he’ll try to find a way to be friends with them. This trait usually gets him into trouble a lot with his parents.
Hometown & Region: Couriway Town, Kalos
Backstory: Trevor was born in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. After he was born he and his family moved to Couriway Town. When he turned seven his sixteen year old brother died in an accident. A few years after the event he started watching sky trainers battle and their type of Pokémon they use. He started to admire all of the sky trainers all around Kalos, and eventually decided that he would want to be a trainer like them, but in a different region.
Goal: Trevor wants to show off the power of Flying-type Pokémon, even if some of them may be weak and overlooked, in Action Contests and the Galar League.

Okay slight predicament with my character: I'm planning to have Lucas participate in both Pokemon League and Action Contests, more focused on Action Contests though. However, he doesn't have a legitimate endorsement to be able to participate in the Galar Gym Challenges. Would I be able to make one up with a random figure head that gave it to me? Or would it be possible to have Nessa or some other gym leader that also partakes in Action Contests to endorse my character? Or would figureheads in other regions be able to endorse trainers to partake in the Galar League Challenge?

@Crimson Sun @SylvitheSylveon @Baymaxman13 Absolutely you can have someone else endorse you all, it could be just about anyone as a quote from Bulbapedia reads: "Unlike the Pokémon Leagues of other regions, Pokémon Trainers in Galar must receive a letter of endorsement to participate in the Gym Challenge" there is no specification given really, but I'd assume they'd have to have something to do with the league and could easily just be one of the sponsors of the league endorsing a trainer.

@Crimson Sun and @SylvitheSylveon both of your reasons work for my RP if you want to go with that.

This RP looks very interesting, and I desire to join if spots are still open. But struggling to make a goal that helps distinguish my OC. We have League Contenders, Coordinators, trainers who do both and even a type specialist so trying to see what idea I can come up with lol
