Flirting with mini-modding

After reading (and laughing continuously) through the Archive of Stupidity, the offense of mini-modding sprouted up once or twice. Now, on the forums, it is an offense, but what about PM? If one catches someone making a mistake on the forums, is it possible to let them know- via PM- of their offense? Now, of course, the true mods will see their post, but is it an option to help them prevent further mistakes?

With that, due to the PM-monitoring system, is that which is stated above considered an offense?

Just trying to decrease the number of bans, despite the hilarity of checking in on the Archive of Stupidity.

I'd say PMs would fall into the same category, I believe members would feel overwhelmed if they had us AND other members telling them what to do.

The rules are the first thing a member should see when first joining, as they're on the very top, and the rules are simple to understand. If they miss that and all the bold text and post crap, then they don't belong here. :p That's why they're n00b'd to fix their mistakes and prove they can be proper members.

So while your thinking is considerate, it's unnecessary.
