A small plot of land just off to the side of a berry farm was under heavy construction from a skilled and professional team ... in battling- they had no idea how to build. Rather than efficient, tight and safe work executed by a small team, Fin found himself desperately trying to direct a large group of Pokemon that were all over the place. "Lapuer put that down, we don't need it yet okay!" "No not there, a little bit- oh ah okay, that's broken now" "Garfield please don't attack anything, I get you want to battle but you just need to wait" "Guys watch out! AH!" "Look where you are going please" "Don't hold it like that it'll ... do that" "Raven please break those two up" "No not yet Anguirus" Their attempts at construction lasted the entire day and to say that it had been fruitless would've been an understatement.

The brief glow of dusk gently laid over the torn up land where Fin now sat with a cup of tea in his hand. His clothes, which were clearly an old pair. were now rather dirty and dusty, just like him. Tonight he'd definitely have a shower. Surrounding the worn out trainer were all of his Pokemon. Some looked rather disappointed, others were mildly embarrassed whilst others seemed completely unbothered. "Considering the circumstances I'd say we did ... decent work?" His optimistic view was met with disagreement from all of his Pokemon, some being more polite in their response than others. "I'd like to point out that you all loose this bet along with me. The shame of loss lays on all of our shoulders" Fin couldn't help it when a tired smile crept across his face. The orange haired trainer reached into his pocket to pull out a pokeball, releasing the pokemon that was held within it. A small Elgyem materialised and immediately looked around at the group of Pokemon that surrounded him. He grew a little bit nervous in the presence of so many however a comforting expression from a Vaporeon settled his nerves. "Hello Etri" Finion greeted the small Pokemon with a warm and friendly expression that was accompanied by a soft voice. "As you can see it is almost night and we have all ... Completely failed" The elgyem awkwardly turned around to observe his surroundings past the other pocket monsters. "You win the deal, you create what we need and you will not have to battle" Etri's face suddenly held a joyful expression, the psychic Pokemon's eyes glowing purple as he used his psychic powers and began his work.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That had all occurred last night and thanks to Etri's efforts everything was now prepared for Finion's guests. He'd tried to settle down, years of adventure and tournaments had made him quite homesick. Unfortunately for him when arrived home he found himself still craving the rush of battle, the spectacle of the fight, the experience with his Pokemon and the fun of it all. He still wanted it. He'd decided to hit two birds with one stone. Not only would he make his own little domestic tournament but he'd also invite people he'd met but had never battle due to most competitions bracket system. It wasn't something he disliked it was just something he found problematic sometimes. Not anymore.

Fin had invited a few people to his home and to his delight most of them had responded and were now on their way. His home was in a rather remote location in Sinnoh and the closest settlement to it was a small one known as Twinleaf town. He'd arranged to met everyone there, specifically just outside a small cafe by around midday. Fin had no idea how they were arriving or when they were arriving he just knew (more so hoped) that they would indeed show up.

He'd arrived to early to met anyone there. Fortunately for him that did mean he could get breakfast whilst he waited. A couple of pancakes was a decent meal in his eyes and he rather strangely ate them plain, washing down the food with gentle sips of tea. As per usual Sparky accompanied Fin, refusing to go inside his pokeball and being a ravenous nuisance as usual. He sat on the table, eating the pancakes as well. Fin had been driven past the point of questioning his electric Pokemon's diet anymore, he knew Sparky had a stomach of steel and could eat almost anything he could fit in his mouth. Begrudgingly he allowed the electric squirrel to consume his breakfast as he didn't need a full stomach thanks to the excitement coursing through him. All he had to do was wait for them to arrive.

Twinleaf town was a very quiet and spacious place. There was no discernible entrance and buildings were sparsely separated rather than squeezed together. It was almost empty. It wasn't a ghost town by any means and despite how few people there were out and about it didn't seem unsettling at all. Calm would be the best word to describe the atmosphere of the place along with friendly. The cafe would be relatively easy to find and the locals would most likely be kind and direct anybody that asked them they way to the establishment where Finion waited. The weather was preferable, the sky being clear and the sun being bright but thankfully not to overbearing.

"This is about as far as I can take you." The truck came to a stop on the dirt road, and in the distance some houses of Twinleaf Town peeked through the trees.
"Thanks a lot for the ride, friend." Shiori said to the driver of the pickup truck.
"No problem! And sorry for making your friends ride in the back." The driver said as Shiori got out of the truck. Out of the back of the truck, a young woman jumped over the side and onto the ground. She was dressed a red, roughed-up looking vest that had a similar look to an Assault Vest, and black jeans that looked equally roughed up. The woman had long, black hair and pale skin, with fingerless gloves, a nose piercing, and a lip piercing to complete her look. A small Wooper appeared in the back of the pickup truck as well. It attempted to follow the punk woman, but ended up tripping over the edge and falling on it's face. The punk woman gave the small Pokemon a slightly concerned look, but the Wooper easily got back on its feet with a large, blank smile.
"Hey, it's fine. See you around." Shiori said to the driver.
"Yeah. Thanks for the autograph!" The driver said, then drove off. Dusting himself off, Shiori grinned at the punk woman and put on his sunglasses.
"Awright~" Shiori said, putting on his backpack. The trio began to make their way towards Twinleaf Town.

It had been a while since Shiori had seen his old friend. A couple years, in fact. A lot had changed since the Solaurea City tournament. Every once in a while, Shiori had occasionally wondered how Finion had been doing. He had managed to catch a few glimpses of his friend via the newspaper and tv, competing in tournaments in Unova. But this invitation had caught Shiori out of the blue. And at a good time, too. Shiori needed a break from, well, life. A laid back tournament should be a good cure for some stress.
"It'll be good to see Finion and Sparky again, huh Raza?" Shiori said. The punk woman walking next to Shiori merely shrugged, her hands in her pockets. But Shiori could tell that she was excited.
"Wooper." The small, tadpole-like Pokemon walked quickly on the other side of Shiori. The actor looked down at the Wooper, a note of concern rising the human.
"They're friends, Looper. So, I expect you to be on good behavior." Shiori said.
"Wooper." The Wooper said, it's expression not changing.

After a bit of walking, the trio made their way into the Twinleaf Town. It was quite spacious, reminding Shiori of the style of Pallet Town. From the entrance of the town, Shiori managed to spot the cafe Finion's invitation had indicated to meet. With a happy spring in his step, Shiori led his little group towards the said cafe.

"Stop, I'll get out here." A taxi stopped a fair distance away from Twinleaf Town and a passenger exited the vehicle. He rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a bundle of bills. "This should cover the fare and the gas." He carelessly tossed the bundle through an open window and walked forward, not saying goodbye to the driver and pulling his cap over his eyes. Sinnoh was a colder region than Johto, though he could appreciate the history of the region. Apparently the entire world was created by an all powerful deity on top of Mt. Coronet, he'd have to ask his host.

Toby was no stranger to history or battles, having grown up with both of them in Ecruteak and having adored the Kimono Girls for embodying both of those things in his youth. He still respected them, but he couldn't visit them without getting repulsed by the people visiting them for terrible reasons like their looks. He'd gladly take them out himself, but he had a public image to keep up and rebuilding the Brass Tower was too important to him. He always was annoyed by his hometown having a place literally called 'Burned Tower', though it made him a bit rusty when it came to fighting.

Two years ago, in Solaurea, he saw Finion fight and was positively impressed by his creative tactics. He lost the match, but his display left an impression on Toby and although respect was a strong word, he didn't dislike him as much as other people he met. A face and a mocking voice rang through his mind, repeating the same nickname over and over again. 'Your Cockyness, Your Cockyness, Your Cockyness!' Toby knew who this voice belonged to, and he sure didn't miss that annoying girl. Heck, he was grateful he never saw her again! Though Finion made some appearances in tournaments, Riley seemed to have settled down. Fine with him, just one less nuisance to deal with. His life in Ecruteak was stressful enough as it is, his newest secret being a clear sign of that.

The rich trainer popped the hood of his trenchcoat and entered Twinleaf Town, taking the town in. It had a quaint feeling to it, and it was a nice change from the busting city that Ecruteak had become after its numerous festivals and the rebuilding of one of its two towers. Toby entered the café described in the invitation Finion sent and ordered a cup of coffee, grimacing afterwards. The people in this little tournament better be stronger than this lame excuse for coffee.
