Fury stood up, tired from yesterday's exertion. He had only been at the base for a week, but it felt like it had been a month. The whip cuts on his back and legs ached. He wished badly for a Nurse Joy to heal him. There was one in the base, but it was usually reserved for the more damaged pokemon, ones that had broken limbs and similar injuries. He sighed in a resigned manner and began pacing around in his cage impatiently. It wouldn't be long before he was taken out, made to wear that 'macho brace', and subjected to the whip when he refused to attack other pokemon.

He looked through reinforced metal bars at the other cage. On one side was a strange Eevee, who seemed different from all other Eevee he had met. At least it smelled different. The other one seemed to be empty, though it probably wouldn't be for long. Fury pricked his ears, hearing the shouts and terrified shrieks associated with a new shipment of captured pokemon. He shook his head and continued pacing, longing for the day that he could be free.

Mint struggled in a grunt's grip, trying to get out of his grasp. He had been taken out of the van and immediately held by this strange human, who seemed to be doing something with a box of light. The grunt struggled for a few moments before letting go accidentally. Mint scampered away, but his progress was halted by two Beedrill who used String Shot, effectively tying him up. The grunt smirked and grabbed rope, adding it to String Shot and bringing Mint to his cage.

Jasmine looked up at mint being carried out of the truck "heh my weight is on my side" she sat there waiting for something to happen waiting to be taken into the base

Kai raised his head as he heard the commotion. It was a morbid kind of curiosity, he knew; he would just see more doomed Pokemon like himself. He huffed as he saw the humans struggle with a Pansage. It was an admirable effort on the Pokemon's part, but useless nonetheless. Kai had been rebelling for days, each attempt more desperate than the last. He winced at the seeping cut in his side, a painful reminder of his place.

He glanced at the Arcanine in the cage across from him, who was pacing. The repetitive action was beginning to make Kai more restless than the new arrivals of screeching Pokemon, for some reason. "Settle down, would you?" He said irritably.

Luna sighed in her cage. "It's useless to struggle so just don't" she said and laid down in her cage. She closed her eyes calmly, nearly too calmly. "Just get used to it" she said and calmed down. Her breathing got lower as she fell asleep in her cold, metal cage.

A pair of Hitmonchan grabbed the chains an admin handed to them and tyed Jasmine's feet together. Two Mudsdale stepped forward, and the Hitmonchan lifted her onto the donkey's backs with the help of a Poliwrath. The admin shouted, and the team of Mudsdale moved forward steadily toward the inside of the base to put Jasmine in a cell.

Mint squeezed his eyes shut, frightened of all the curious creatures staring at him. The swaying motion stopped. The ropes around him loosened, then he felt a thud as he was tossed into the cage. The door was slammed shut as soon as it had been opened, and he curled up in a corner to try hiding.

Fury stopped pacing to stare at the Luxio for a few moments. "Sure." He mumbled. The Arcanine stared at the passing crowd, hardly flinching when the Pansage was thrown against the wall. He had seen the same thing done before to a previous resident who had to be moved. He sighed mentally when he heard the Eevee's comments. Fury knew it would be difficult to get out of the base, but was still surprised at the other's pessimism.

Midnight jumped up at the sounds then relaxed when she saw it was only new Pokémon. She sat down and sighed. She leaned against her cage and started to bite it tiredly. She was used to the sound of her teeth against the metal and the feel of it. She still hated sharpening her teeth, though. When she lived in the forest she just sharpened them on trees and this was definitely different from her life in the forest.

The Hitmonchan fell to the ground. A Poliwrath carried it off to be healed, with the non-harmed Hitmonchan following it. Three more Poliwrath approached. Two set to work restraining Jasmine, while the other one focused on keeping her on the Mudsdale's backs. An admin who was following them cracked his whip menacingly to warn the Lairon as the group slowly approached an empty cell.

Fury perked his ears, hearing steps from two different directions. One was the business-like steps of an admin with the clods of two heavy pokemon with him, and from the other side were three sets of faster, less professional ones accompanied with idle chatter. He growled half out of fear. Those steps meant it was time for a 'training session' with the brace. The Pansage next door whimpered in fear, having already associated human's footsteps to mean trouble. Fury pushed against the back wall to keep as far away as possible, and felt the charcoal he hid in his mane heat up. His teeth turned a dark shade as he prepared an attack he had learned from a scientist's experiment.

Midnight sighed and stopped sharpening her teeth and looked at the training session group and growled. 'Is it time for me to battle this round that quick?' She thought when she recognized the voices and saw the people that were supposed to bring them to the training place. She backed to the back of the cage. 'Well I'm not going out of this cage without a fight' she thought then closed her eyes and matched the darkness of the cage.

Kai couldn't help his hackles rising at the footsteps, and he wondered whose turn it was to be taken and "trained." He only hoped they would pass by him, and sneered in disgust at the various Pokemon at the humans' sides.
"Traitors," he muttered. His eyes were drawn to the Pokèmon that looked to be ready to attack. His eyes widened at their boldness. "Don't do it, man," he said quietly, not able to stop himself.

Mint chittered and danced nervously in place. He wanted to get out badly, and made his move once a grunt opened the door. He climbed up and looked at the grunt with glee, frowning when the human simply sighed and tossed a round object into the air. There was a beam of red light and a Gengar appeared. The ghost grinned and floated up, and Mint found he couldn't move from fear. There was a red burst of flame, and he fell, fainting from the fire blast. The grunt smirked and picked him up before returning the Gengar, and dragged him on the ground toward the training gym.

Fury hardly noticed the struggle next cage over. He had waited for his cage door to be opened, not reacting outwardly. Once the foolish Rocket member had gotten close, he bit his arm with the dark type move and knocked him out with a headbutt attack. The person crashed against the Luxio's enclosure, and a few angry, shaken looking pokemon came out of their poke balls. The unconscious Rocket's team cornered the Arcanine and tied him up securely. One of them, a Machoke, picked up Fury and followed behind Mint's captor. The others took their trainer and passed by the admin with the Mudsdale team, who halted and dumped Jasmine into a small pen.

The administrator looked at a list in his hand, scanning down until he saw the section for this part of the building. He shook his head at something and sent out a Heatmor and Hypno. Heatmor moved to Luna's pen and sprayed a Gastro Acid on the floor, then sent a fire blast over the ground to scare her out of hiding. The Hypno peered into each of the enclosures, most of them returning the gaze unflinchingly. He turned his eyes to Kai and smirked creepily. The Hypno's trainer nodded and returned him, this time sending out a Sandslash and opening the door to the Luxio's enclosure. Sandslash stepped inside and straightaway used Sand Tomb around Kai, trapping it until the administrator could take him out and bring him to training.

Luna jumped and closed her mouth. She sent out a Shadow Beam across the cage and hitting the Heatmor and barely scraping the admin. She jumped out of the cage and ran into the hallway. She ran and ran then stopped at a room then jumped in the room and hid in it.

"Back off," Kai growled at the Sandslash as it approached. He charged up a Thunder Fang to attack it, but a wall of sand knocked the wind out of him before he could make a move. He choked on sand and tried to dig his way out, but the Ground-type move was weakening him more than he cared to admit.

Through the rush of sand, he heard even more commotion outside, and he wondered vaguely if someone had escaped. It didn't matter, he figured, since they probably wouldn't get very far. He struggled against the sand again. "Let me out!"

The admin scowled, returning Heatmor. He took a set of chains off his belt and threw a lasso at Kai, Sandslash's attack stopping in time for the chain to tighten around the Luxio's neck. The admin pulled on the chain to knock Kai down, while Sandslash tackled him if the chain wasn't strong enough to make him fall. The ground type sat on Kai as more restraints were added. Once Kai was sufficiently shackled, Sandslash got up and put the Luxio around his neck as if he were a sheep, leaving the pen and going to the training center.

Fury shook his head. The metal cables had been taken off, but the brace was rubbing against his fur the wrong way. On the other side of the room was the Pansage from next door, and he heard someone else coming. The fire type sighed and prepared to dodge any attacks the others threw at him.

Mint stared disbelievingly at the wide room he was in. He wasn't sure how he got here, but it seemed much better than his cage, since this room had swings, ropes, and other apparatus to climb on and hide behind. The chimp smiled slightly before realizing he had some sort of harness on his back, and there was a weight attached to it. He looked back and saw a sparkly green gem. Sensing it was meant to make him stronger, he planned to use it if he was attacked either by the Arcanine nearby or the trainer's pokemon, especially the Gengar which fainted him earlier. Mint climbed up a rope and swung onto a perch meant for bird pokemon.

Luna looked around the room she was in and decided to explore a little. She walked out of her hiding spot and wondered around the room. "Wow" she whispered at how big the room was. She heard some footsteps and ran back into her hiding spot and blended in with the darkness of her hiding spot.

Jasmine sat there for a minute or two scilent not knowing how to react she got up and decided to make a 'friend' in this place he looked at mint "hey" she said dryly

Mint almost fell off the perch when he heard Jasmine. He looked down and tried pretending to be cheerful. "H-hi?" He wasn't too sure about talking to the other pokemon, since the majority seemed to be faithful to the Rockets who wandered about the building. Fury peered over at the Lairon tiredly, crouching down in preparation to dodge if anyone tried to hit him. The brace wasn't doing him any favors, as it always slowed him down.

A scientist looked through the reinforced window and frowned, speaking into a radio. Almost immediately, a few grunts were heard taking more pokemon out. A Sandslash carried in Kai, dumping the Luxio on the ground and leaving before anyone could attack him. Chuckling, shouts and terrified yelps were heard as more people approached with pokemon forced to train.

Roku winced in pain as he was roughly picked up and taken into one of the cages. The cuts on his arms stung with pain, but Roku wasn't gonna give these vile thugs the pleasure of seeing his pain. He got thrown into a cage and remained silent, scraping at the ground with a finger.

Kai snarled as he was thrown roughly into the room. The traitorous Sandslash had left before the chains were removed, probably on purpose. Without the iron grip of the other Pokemon preventing movement, he worked at the chains with his teeth, trying to untangle his sore limbs.

Finally, he freed his legs, but he still had a chain wrapped tightly around his neck, and a bit of the noose hung low enough to brush the ground. He knew it might be a problem later, but he couldn't be bothered right now. He scanned the other Pokemon around him. If he was going to be forced to fight, he was going to find someone he could win against. His eyes fell onto a small Pansage conversing with a Lairon, though neither looked aggressive. Perfect.

'Oh moons their coming in' Luna thought when two professors came in. "How are we going to make a Dark Eevee? We can't even get the one we have to cooperate with us" one said and looked around. "Well we have to get her to trust us first. We can't get her to show us her power if she can't really trust us" the other one said. "Well then we'll just have to get her" he said. Luna shuddered in her corner and a professors noticed something in the room seemed different.

The professors ran out of the lab to get some Pokémon and Luna got out of her hidning spot and trotted over to Roku's cage. "That was pretty cool" she said as she unsheathed one of her claws and started to pick at the lock on the cage. "I know they were talking about me but we need to get out of here and fast" she's said and the cage door opened. "Follow me" she said and ran out of the room.

Midnight sighed. "Well for one, we're getting out of here. Two, this place is a Team Rocket base for unique Pokémon, trainers, and professors" she said and picked her pace up some more. "And this is a one in a life time opportunity so let's take it" she said.

Fury looked up at the door and stood normally as a few more pokemon were added to the room. A Floatzel kicked the door angrily, and pushed away from the others. A Gabite and Drillbur followed it and stood in the middle of the room menacingly. Fury didn't have time to worry about the trio, however. The Luxio was staring at the Pansage with a glint the fire type knew too well. With a burst of speed, Fury was standing straight in front of Kai. The Arcanine looked down at Kai and growled. "Don't even think about it." Fury stood still, expecting to be fought in place of Mint.

Mint swung off the perch and landed on Jasmine's back. He scampered away instinctively when the Floatzel kicked at the door, and hid behind a pile of rocks. They smelled like sweat, but that was most likely from a training Machop. At least, he hoped so.

Luna ran and ran then she saw a door and beamed. She jumped at the door but she was staying still in one spot. 'What in the moons?' She thought and looked around. There he was. The trainer that found her and she looked frightened. 'He was nicer than the rest of the people here' she thought but was still alert. "Now, that was a good attempt at escaping but you'll have to do better than that" he said and signaled two trainers to take Roku. He pulled her up to him and held her. "I guess we'll have to get you a new cage but we can put it in my room so I can keep an eye you better" he said and he passed the two. "I'm sorry" she whispered to Roku when they passed him. "He was just following her so don't give him any punishment, just put him in a different cage" he said and the two nodded their heads and walked to the cages. He walked in his room and set her down on his bed. "I don't have a cage with me so you'll just have to wait here" he said and grabbed her again when she tried to excape. "Now don't be like that. My name is Jack and your name is..." he said in thought. "You can't change my name!" She yelled at him and turned her head. Jack looked at her surprised. "You've really got an attitude, you know. But I want you to show me your name since you can't tell me" he said and this time Luna looked at him in surprise. She let her tail flick for a bit then decided she could slowly get out of here if he lets her. She curled herself into a ball and used Mirrior Shine which made her glow white. "So moon?" He asked and she turned the Mirror Shine off and shook her head 'no'. "Then Luna?" He asked and she nodded. "Ok then Luna, stay here while I get you a cage" he said and walked out then she heard a 'click'. 'He probably locked the door' she thought then jumped down off the bed to explore. Jack opened the door and startled Luna but she quickly regained herself. He closed the door and put the cage on the bed. "Ok, your going in this cage" he said and picked her up then put her in the cage. She looked down at her paws sadly and Jack looked at her and smiled. "Don't worry. I'll let you out when I think you can" he said and put the cage on the floor across from the bed. 'This guy is really interesting' she thought when Jack turned the light off and the only light source was her glowing silver eyes. She layed down and fell asleep.

Kai gritted his teeth as the Arcanine that he remembered from earlier seemed to tower over him, but refused to show his intimidation. Electricity crackled in his fur and claws. "You think they're just gonna let us stand around here all day?" He sneered, backing up so he didn't have to crane his neck. His chain scraped across the ground at the movement. "They'll hurt us anyway if we stay on the defensive. But you know that already, yeah?" He said, looking pointedly at the Arcanine's wounds and flicking his tufted tail.

Fury frowned. "If you'll fight, you can take on those." He moved to allow the Luxio to see the Floatzel and his allies in the middle of the room. He flinched as he remembered the torture he had received from not training earlier, and decided to protect at least one creature from being whipped like he had. Fury sniffed for the Pansage he had seen earlier and tracked his scent to the pile of boulders. The Arcanine lay in front of the rocks so it would see him, and stayed quiet for a few moments before asking "What is your name?"

Mint trembled. The fire type was laying in front of his hiding spot, making it impossible to escape. It had asked his name. The Pansage squeaked in fear. "Mi-mint..." He only answered because he was frightened, since the Arcanine could easily torch him if it wanted to. It seemed pleased with the answer and got out of the way, leaving a wide open space to crawl out from. Mint could hardly believe it, and he stood still in surprise from the politeness of the Arcanine.

Kai blinked in surprise at Fury's back as he left, wondering why he wasn't attacked by the larger Pokemon. He looked over at the trio that the Arcanine had mentioned and paled slightly. Maybe if it were just the Floatzel, he might stand a chance, but taking on all three alone was suicide.

He spotted Jasmine sitting alone and looking relatively non-hostile, so he padded across the floor to stand beside her, cautiously. The Lairon looked like she could take care of herself, so he debated on a temporary truce. "You're one of the new ones they just brought in, right?" He asked tensely. He kept an eye on the dangerous new trio in the middle of the room, especially the Ground-typed Drillbur, and another on the scientists behind the glass. He returned an expectant gaze to Jasmine.

Rage woke up in a cage. He was used to at that point. First, he was angry with the ones that caught him. He remembered the first time he woke up in a cage, that same cage where he was now, and trying to escape. Obviously, it was useless. then, he heard the humans. They were talking about him, something about his own potential, and that he could be very useful for the organization. He got calm, and Rage thought that he would become stronger. And he did... But... At what cost? He was trained, but he was also overexploited and treated like a slave.
He looked at himself. He had some bandages on his arms and belly. Then, he looked to the room. He was alone, in a very dark room. Then, he was sure of what he must do: escape from the cage. First of all, he tried to use Tackle, but the metal bars didn't give in. He took a look to the entrance of the cage. It had a very big padlock. He now took a look to the surroundings, and he focused on a near table, where he could distinguish a shiny object. Maybe it was a key. He looked now to his left. He could see a ventilation grill. He thought that he could go escape alone, but that didn't look possible now. He approached as much as he could to the ventilation grill. He was not near, but he shouted in case someone could hear him. "Hello?! Somebody there? I need help!"

Mint heard a voice behind him. He squinted his eyes and looked at the ground, and saw an odd metal plate. The Pansage pulled at it and dislodged a corner from the grill. "Yes? Who's th-there?" He called down.

Fury waited for the Pansage to leave the pile of rocks. The Arcanine was suspicious when he didn't try to leave right away, and got even more curious when he heard voices from inside and caught the scent of another pokemon. He decided to stay here until Mint left, and would talk to him later. He was aware of the scientist's eyes on him. Fury knew since he was the only one who looked like he wouldn't fight, even going so far as to discourage another from fighting, that he would be the one who would be whipped. Perhaps the Lairon would be punished too, if she disagreed with the Luxio's offer.

Rage was getting desperate. It was rare the occasion when he was left alone, and he couldn't miss the opportunity. He tried several times more, and when he was going to give up, he could hear something coming from the other side. Someone was talking too! "Oh... Holy Arceus! He... Hello! I'm a Larvitar. My name is Rage. Look, I don't have too much time... I'm alone and someone has left the key of my cage in a table. I can see it. My intention is to escape, but I cannot do it by myself. I need someone to come here and free me while I am still alone!"

Mint didn't answer the Larvitar. He was trying to figure out how to get down to wherever Rage was. After a few moments of hesitation, Mint pried the opening further, to the point where he could fit through. The Pansage braced himself, took a few deep breaths, and climbed in. Before long he had found another metal plate and knocked gently to signal his presence.

Fury planned to meet with Mint later. Right now he was more concerned with the group of 'hostiles', as he called them. The Floatzel glanced in his direction occasionally, as did the Gabite. It was clear one of the two would be sent after him, but the two with ground types would most likely be sent after the Luxio and Lairon. Fury tensed and prepared to run from whichever moves the trio sent at him.

Rage noted the knocks that came from the metal plate. "Oh, the reinforcements! Come in, quickly, the key is over that table", said Rage, desperately, pointing to the table as he examined the door, in case one of his captors was going to enter. His chance to escape, at least from the cage, was near, and his eyes showed joy for that.

Mint dented the grill and slipped through. He hardly dared to look around the room, preferring to scamper straight to the table. He took the key and climbed up to reach the lock. It took a few tries, but he managed to finally turn the key, and the door swung open a tiny crack. The Pansage pulled to open it wider and motioned for Rage to step out as he looked around nervously, thinking a grunt would walk in at any moment.

"Oh my... Thanks" Said Rage. He removed his bandages. They were dirty, with a little bit of dust and blood. "I guess I won't need them anymore". Then, he went out of the cage and closed the door as he did it. Then, he approached to his savor. "I don't know if we have much more time, and going out of this room by the door... I'm pretty sure that there will be humans around. Do you think that the ventilation system can support my weight?"

The Pansage grimaced in concern. "I think so..." He glanced back at where he got in. An idea struck him, and he climbed back to the lock to pull out the key. He put the key into the bush-like growth on his head and got back down. "Will we go back up?" If he went through the hall, he could use the gem harnessed to his back, but he would prefer if it was saved for a life or death situation.

"Well, I have no idea where we are, but one thing is sure: we'll stay safe as long as we can avoid those humans; so, unless you have a better plan, I suggest going through the ventilation system, "Rage said meanwhile he looked to the door. He was nervous. A human could appear there at any moment and call for reinforcements.

Mint nodded and started pulling on the grate desperately to free a larger space. Using his arms lacked a positive result, so he began tugging with his tail also, finally using a Vine Whip. The piece of metal was placed carefully to the side and the vine retracted after tapping Rage on the shoulder. Mint motioned toward the vent and waited for Rage to get in first.

"Oh, right. Here we go". Rage didn't hesitate and entered in the ventilation. He was careful at first. He was pretty heavy and he didn't want to break it or something like that. The conduct squeaked a little, but at least it looked like it could resist his weight. "Do you have more friends around here? Where did you come?"
