Hot, burning hot. The summer sun radiating it's UV ray's annoyed her to the fullest. Maika was deffinetly no stranger to the summer heat since she had lived on the west coast of California for about four years, but for some reason waiting with the rest of her classmates for the summer camp bus was making the heat unbearable. Well to be fair, maybe it was the fact that her old childhood friends would be going on the school trip as well. She had made a promise to write them letters every week, but as time passed her letters stopped and fewer replies were received in the mail until they had completely stopped. Did she regret not writing her once bestfriends letters? Yes she did, very much. Did she wish they could go back in time and she could help keep the group together? More than anything. But that was in the past and everybody went their separate ways. The youngest in line for Shinji Pharmaceuticals stared down at her phone before sighing once again due to the unbearable heat for the hundredth time in the past fifteen minutes, "this is gonna be a long trip."

Muji was still waking up when he waiting when he was waiting for the bus. He said “C’mon, you can’t *yawn* make me wake up before 3:00 PM. I need my sleep.” He rubbed his eyes. “I hope the bus gets here soon, I’ll be able to sleep on the bus. Why did Dad make me do this.” He yawned. “I feel like falling asleep right here, eh, it will be fine.” He said as he fell asleep standing up.

Gax wiped some sweat off his brow and sighed in irritation, leaning of his bag, on the bus stop. The heat was bad enough, but the sun was making it impossible to play on his console. He shook his head as he chided his thoughts.
Maybe it's for the better. I need to start limiting myself. I'm not called Game Addict for nothing, and it's not a flattering nickname.
He winced as he though about how he would apologize. He almost quit his job as a way to have less distractions. He almost managed to place his games in a box and shove it in the attic, where they wouldn't distract him. He almost wrote letters for his friends when he found that they were gone. Who says he can't actually go up and apologize, or at least attempt to be a better person?
He sighed, and squinted at his game's screen again. Hopefully this trip goes well.

“Get out you hooligan!”

“Haha!! Catch me if you can you big Beluga!”

*CRASH!!*

“Uh oh.”

*WUMP!*

Percy was promptly chucked out of a local casino, landing on his bottom. He groaned, rubbing his back.

“And STAY OUT!”

The door slammed abruptly and forcefully, leaving Percy to dust himself off.

“Bah, who needs ya anyway! It’s not my fault that your security sucks at finding out there’s a minor playin’ the slots...”

Seriously? Just wanted some quick money before goin’ on this stupid trip. Who does she think she is politely asking me to leave like that? Pssssht people these days.

The young girl had finally arrived in Tokyo. Here, she would reunite with her friends. Wherever they may be, of course. She walked up somewhere, anywhere. She was asked to go on a field trip with some old classmates of her's and so that's where she went: to her old bus stop location where she occasionally hang out with her friends before school started. That was when she found someone. She seemed much older, but she definitely looked like...

"Sunshine!?"

She rushed forward to see the young girl look at her phone. She looked to be sweltering under the heat. Or maybe the heat of anticipation. She can't believe she found someone she recognized. Maria stopped short of the kawaii clothes-wearing teenager and she was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet. Her black laptop backpack bounded up and down with her, with considerable weight being tossed about within the container.

"Is that you? Maika?"

The familiar call of her old nickname completely snapped Maika out of her thoughts. She quickly turned to where the voice was coming from, and immidielty felt something deep within her scream in complete bliss. "Maria? Oh my god Maria!" Maika exclaimed, quickly embracing the other female. "It's been so long since I've seen you!" The slightly taller girl squealed out, before pulling away from the hug. "How have you been? I haven't talked to you since the last letter I sent four years ago" the heiress softly says, the last few words tasting like venom in her mouth. Maika had completely cut ties with her friends on her own accord's. She had stopped sending letters by her own choice. For four years she refused to speak with them, but now she was actually talking to somebody who she loved dearly from her childhood. "I've missed you."

It had only been a few hours since Keisuke arrived in Tokyo once again, and he was already hit with a wave of heavy nostalgia. He spent the early morning just walking around the big city, looking at a few specific locations where the group used to hang out. He should’ve been the first one at the bus stop, but he just couldn’t do it yet. He had a feeling of nervousness residing in his stomach from just thinking about how grown and independent they all must be, or look by now. Keisuke checked the time from his phone one last time and sighed.
“I’ve wasted too much time, I should probably get going now. But wow, it really has gotten hot out here all of a sudden.” Keisuke mumbled to himself, before finally walking down the path to the bus stop.

Well actually, it seemed as if the boy strayed further from the main route than he intended. “It's been too long, I think I went down the wrong street. Wait, what the!” Just then, Keisuke could’ve sworn he just witnessed a young boy get thrown out of a casino, a very familiar boy.

When he realized that the young boy was actually Percy, the nervous feeling subsided and was ever so quickly replaced with a joyous one instead. One good look at his clothes, and you could tell he really changed over the years though- but that didn’t matter now, he was still Percy.. hopefully. Therefore Keisuke did his best to sneak up on the younger boy, in an attempt to surprise him.
“Woah, Percy! Did you get older than me over the years? I mean they’re letting you into casinos now, and all.” He asked sarcastically, whilst holding back a few faint snickers.

Not even a dozen seconds went by since he was kicked out of the casino before a loud but familiar voice had came from behind.

“Woah Percy!”

“Wahhh!!”

He jumped up, recoiling at the sudden stranger behind him. It didn’t take him long to see that it was Keisuke! The oldest and youngest member of the group reunited after several years apart. Percy cooled down, but blinked in almost disgust at the remarks of Keisuke.

“H-Hey hey now! They had their minor rule conveniently covered up by sharpie marker, how could I have Possibly known?” Percy defended himself. “Maybe I should should sue them, what do you think mr. lawyer man?”

He straightened his ruffled hair, giving a snicker to his old friend. At the very least it was nice to see someone who immediately didn’t want to turn him away

Keisuke held a slight smile, mostly because of the second hand embarrassment he felt at that moment. Was Percy getting himself into this kind of trouble everyday, while he was away?

“Well there isn’t any proof that you blotted out the rule, so I’d say you’re innocent until proven guilty. But-- let’s quit while we’re ahead, so no suing anyone.” He compromised, resting his fist under his chin afterwards. “..I think you should steer clear of these kinds of places as well. Most of the time when people go in looking for more money, they come out with less than they had before.” The older boy lectured, before dropping his arms so that he could reach into his pocket.

“Plus I’m here now too, so I’ve got you covered.” Keisuke took the wallet out of his pocket, and reached for 1000 yen, which he offered to his childhood friend. “Here you go, but we should probably start heading to the bus stop now. I’m sure we can make a quick detour if something catches your eye though.” Keisuke explained as he turned around, and gestured for Percy to follow him.

“..I think you should steer clear of these kinds of places as well.” Keisuke explained. “Most of the time blah blah blah, blah blah blah...”

Oi, why is he always nagging like this. Boooooring...say, was he always this tall? I don’t remember him being this tall. Just cause he’s tall doesn’t mean he can boss me arou-

That’s when his friend pulled out a thousand yen for the younger boy. His eyes locked onto it like a shark finding it’s dinner. Cha-Ching! Percy was quick to grin and grab it, elbowing the older boy.

“Heheh! Now you see why we call y’a the big bro of the group. Always lookin’ after everybody else.” He slightly teased. “Lets go mother goose, I’m sure everyone is just DYING to meet us.”

When Maika came in for a hug, Maria let her have a huge bear hug, squeezing her tightly before releasing her from her iron grip. As Maika talked, the nostalgia feeling of friendship and memories swarmed through Maria's head, forcing tears to gush outward but she held them in the best she could. Though, her eyes were getting red and puffy, the signature trademark of her about to cry. Man, she missed her best friend. "It has been super long. Still though, I remember our last adventure like it was yesterday." She held her good memories of her childhood fondly, and daydreamed about those adventures quite often when she had nothing to do. With Maika's questions, Maria couldn't help but spill the beans of her life as tears rolled down her cheeks in jubilee.

"I've been doing wonderful! Oh my god, so much as changed! I had to go back to Washington D.C. because my dad was dying from some awful sickness. Malaria, was it? I don't know, but anyway, after a good few years of being sick, he got better. I had to take care of him for so long with my mother and be her emotional rock, and- OH MY GOD, I missed you so much!" Maria fell into Maika into another hug as she cried into her shoulder. "I thought I would never see you again," was what she said, muffled in Maika's shoulder as she began to sob out of overwhelming joy and happiness.

"You were in America the whole time? What the heck Maria! I was literally in California that time!" Maika whined out, a but sulky over the fact they were literally in the same country that time. "I honestly missed you guys so much. Like my friends in LA were so drab, and I missed those times we would all stay up late at night playing those silly video games and sneak into the kitchen to shove whip cream down each others throats" the kawaii obsessed female laughed out, while gently hugging her crying bestfriend from her childhood. "Stop crying Maria. I'm here, and I'm sure the others aren't too far behind. So put a smile on your face and let's make this trip the best thing ever!" Maika cheered out happily.

The plane was landing, and Chester's nerves were starting to calm. It was just something about being locked up in a metal can, with wings and jets attached too it that put him off, maybe it was the fact that he couldn't control what could happen or the fact that the plane could crash at any moment. He gave a relieved sigh as the plane finally stopped. "Thank god we're not dead, thank god. We're still alive right?" he asked the man next to him. "I don't know if you are", the man muttered walking away from Chester. Chester stretched his legs, enjoying each strain in his muscle.

For the next hour, he went looking for his bag, finally finding it after it was knocked off the conveyor belt. He was about to leave, but then something caught his eye, it was a small shop selling souvenirs, it had the usual bags and key rings but then it had a video game corner. Odd? absolutely. Did it make him curious? Definitely, he looked around the walls, finding games like Not so mega Hedgehog or Angry Dragon 2. Wonder who would want to waste money on this stuff, when you can just throw your body around for free and still get more fun, he thought.

After a couple more minutes of riding out the heat, Gax stood up and took his bag, beyond annoyed.
That's it. I think I'll need to rest in some shade for a bit. I'm done being broiled.
Cue more minutes of trudging later, his eyes fell on a video game store.
Ah crap, I'll spend hours in there. Must...resi-oh I'm here. Welp, may as well browse, there's shade here anyway.
After accepting his fault reasoning, he moved across the lanes, his eyes focused on the merchandise. He already had a fair amount of these games, but hopefully there would be a new one.
Gax's focused was completely aimed at the games, so he didn't notice anyone in front of him until his shoulder smacked with someone else's.
Gax immediately turned and bowed " Oh crap! Sorry about-"

"..."

"CHESTER?!"

“Man when did you become such a little rascal?” He asked rhetorically, partially glancing at Percy from the corner of his eye, since his focus was more on the phone screen in front of himself. Keisuke’s phone displayed a precise map of the streets around the two and the facilities that inhabited them. “The GPS says we’re a few minutes away from the meet-up point. So we should be there soon enough, hopefully they can wait a bit longer.”

He wanted to catch up with Percy, but he decided to save it for when everybody regrouped. Which was a little scary, as even the little guy seemed to have been through a lot since the last time they talked. Still it couldn’t hurt to talk for a little while, ..could it? “Anyway, you’ve really grown since the last time. School treating you alright? You probably have a girlfriend and everything by now, hm?”

“A rascal with a thousand Yen that is.” Percy corrected, not even fighting the fact he was called a Rascal.

As the two made their way down the city corner, he caught something in the corner of his eye. A local DJ asking people around for the location of his headphones, as he seemed to have misplaced them. Percy whistled, resting his hands on the brackets of the cozy black headphones around his neck. Passing him, Keisuke asked him a question. One that made him jump up.

“Woah woah woah woah HEY! Lemme make one thin’ clear, I ain’t interesting in nobody, unless they can handle the per-cee swagger. Till then, this bird has no cage.”

He flared his hoodie a bit, sticking his hands aggressively in his baggy pants. He didn’t want to say, but he never even felt the need to get in a relationship with anyone, not like they’d even say yes to begin with. He elected not to even touch the issue. Changing his focus to the first question, he blew some hair out of the way.

“School is such a bore, the more I grew, the less ‘cute and approachable’ I got.” He spoke, condescendingly immitating a cutesy voice. “Had to adapt, become my own Man, my own kinda Man. Before you know it, here I am, the stunning example of perfect balance.”

He snickered, running a hand through his hair, letting the fluffed up messy hair flip back into place. He raised his eyebrows twice, apparently proud about how much he had ‘grown’ in his older friend’s absence.

"What th-" chester paused at the sound of his name, before it clicked in his head. "GA?! Of course you would come here, it's been so long. How's it going Game Addict? Man they're so many questions I have to ask." At this point chester was like a rubber ball, going up and down. "Why did you come back to Japan? I just wanted to revisit the place, being a street performer does give you some green. ". Was it the fact that he finally met one of his childhood friends or was it the odds of seeing someone you haven't seen in over four years? Either way his excitement was showing.

"I bet one of the others must be at the old bus stop where we used to hang out", he exited the game shop and made his way to where he thought the bus stop was. "I wonder if anyone else is there, I would love to see everyone else, the old gan-" chester froze, looking at the two people hugging in front of him. Unlike GA, these people just didn't click in his head. "Do you think, wait a minute that's Maria and Maika, shit more of the gang is here! Can this day get any better?", each step towards the bus stop, felt like he was walking on clouds. "Is it okay if two more join the hug?" he asked the two.

Keisuke chuckled at Percy’s response about having a girlfriend, he figured he’d say something along those lines anyway. He didn’t delve further into that frontier though, as the younger boy also talked about becoming his own type of man. Maybe that was why he changed since then? “Yeah I get it school is boring, for sure. I’m still trying to get out myself.” He concurred, looking at his phone again, until his face displayed an expression of slight confusion.
“If the GPS is right… we should be arriving at the bus stop-- now.” Keisuke glanced up and away from his phone, seeing a small crowd of people. There was no doubt as to who they were.

“Long time, no see everyone.” Keisuke waved, walking closer to the crowd with an obvious smile. He couldn’t actually believe he was seeing his friends again, since years ago he couldn’t even dream of such a reunion.

Gax's smile faltered slightly "Game addict huh...of course. A-Anyway, I have many, MANY, questions myself, like how are you not in the hospital, but we should get a move on. The others are probably waiting-huh?"
He turned to see where Chester was looking, and his eyes brightened at the sight. He waved at the two as he followed Chester.
" Sunshine, great to see you! Techie! You okay? How's your dad?" hearing another voice, he turned toward Keisuke and Percy. His grin grew wider.
"Big-Bro! Weirdo! There you are! Now all we need are Weasel and-" he cut off, seeing a familiar person standing in the bus stop.
He walked over, faced the person, and sighed. "Of course. Oi, Taidana! Wakey wakey!" he called out while snapping near the his sleeping friend's face.

Muji yawned at the sound of someone snapping their fingers. “Huh, can’t you see I’m trying to sleep here.” he saw most of his childhood friends but they looked all grown up. “Oh, hi, you guys are here.*Yawn* Wait, we are missing Weasel. Why did you have to wake me up if he isn’t here yet.” He yawned and stretched all the way up with his arms in the arm, not on purpose, but stilling showing off his ridiculous height. “Well, wake me when the bus gets here.” He said, as he fell asleep once again.

A lot of familiar faces began to appear, Chester, Muji, GA, and many more! Percy pointed finger guns at them as his sign of greeting them. He hitched a ride on Keisuke’s intro as an excuse not to talk yet. Everyone had changed so much, and had gotten REALLY tall, at least compared to him.

He put his hands behind his head and stuck his tounge out, teetering his head left and right. The kid rolled his eyes with a chuckle as a certain sleepyhead woke up, almost time for everyone to load up on the bus.

“What is taking that weasel SOOOOO long??” Percy groaned in a dramatic fashion. “Not like they got hit by a car or somethin’.”

Maika gently released Maria from the hug before looking at her phone once again. "At this rate I'll meet my great grandparents before the bus gets here" she grumbled. She didn't know if it was the heat or her boredom that caused her to hallucinate, but she could of sworn she heard familiar voices. She followed the voices until her eyes were met with a group of familiar faces. "You rats!" Maika yelled out, crossing her arms over her chest with a huff. "You boy's are really out here only saying hi to each other and forgetting about us girls" the short female whined, annoyed at her childhood friends but at the same time ecstatic to see them after so many years.

“Oh? Is that so?” Percy chuckled, putting on a feigned voice of interested. “Heyyy girls, hows it going?”

Teasing them a bit for their needy like behavior, Percy snickered, giving a hearty laugh. She was exactly how he remembered her: boisterous and quick to get offended.

“What happened to ladies first eh? Pffft, blamin’ me like that.”

"I didn't want to get cooties on the first day in Japan" he joked. "Really I heard that stuff is lethal", chester nodded his head gravely. "I missed it here, brings back old memories. Getting myself hurt, GA two inches from a screen and Maika being the literal definition of sugar. Also guys I have finally mastered the Back flip". Chester sung his arms forwards and backwards before jumping in the air. His legs arced over his head, before landing firmly on the ground. "See I'm amazing at this and Yankee dankee doodle shite donkey!! I landed weird and my knee feels weird this is weird, why does this happen to me" cried chester, hopping and clutching his right leg. "Of course I get hurt when I meet back up with you guys"

He felt like a tourist, Tokyo was so much larger than he'd remembered. It dwarfed even Naha - the largest city he had typically seen these last few years - and Kadena might as well have not even existed compared to it. Had he really spent so much of his young childhood here? He tightened the strap holding his bag to his back, and shoved his hands in his pockets. He hadn't even really wanted to go on this excursion, but his father had insisted. Something to take his mind off things. By the time he came back home, his mother would be back from Okinawa, then they could do things together as a family again.

Besides, his father had told him, all his old friends were going. That, in of itself, was a pretty terrifying thought. They must all be so different than how he remembered them. And their age ranges, the youngest among them had to be thirteen or so by now, and the oldest - himself included - were on the cusp of adulthood. They were worlds apart now. Would they recognize him? Would he recognize them? To be honest, he was probably overthinking things. It was a summer trip, it wasn't like they were all moving in together. And besides, he was happy to have the chance to see them again, mental grousing aside.

He rounded a corner, and caught sight of the bus stop, and there everyone was waiting around it. He wasn't late, was he? Maybe if this city wasn't such a maze - no complaining. He put on his best casual smile, squashed his nervousness, and approached. The first person he'd noticed - good god he was taller than Ren now - had to be Muji. Ren knew this to be the case, because Muji had apparently mastered the ability to sleep standing up. They didn't call him Taidana for nothing. He thought he recognized Percy too. Or at least, he assumed the youngest person in the group was Percy - when did Percy get into Oshare kei?

The oldest kid in the group was probably Keisuke, did they still call him Onichan? He was dressed more conservatively than most of the rest of them; he was a rich kid, if Ren remembered right. One of the boys was all limbs, barely any torso. It reminded Ren of a puppy, with oversized paws. Was that Chester? He remembered they'd called him Kuri, Chesnut. Ren felt kind of bad about it these days, it was a somewhat insulting moniker. But then again, Chester had happily called him Itachi along with the rest of them. Which meant the last boy had to be Gax. It was good to see that he was still getting out, Ren remembered the boy withdrawing from the group in stages, seemingly on the way to becoming a Hikikomori.

As for the girls, Maria was easy to spot. American, which meant she most resembled him out of the entire group. He'd remembered her being a little overbearing, but kind enough. And that just left Maika, who had apparently decided to become the embodiment of the color pink. It was really something to behold. They had called her Nikkoh, Sunshine, but maybe Ichigo, Strawberry, would be more proper these days. He wouldn't say that out loud though. That would be mean. Instead, he pulled a hand out of his pocket to give the assembled group a wave.

"Sorry, I'm not too late, am I?"

Maria, upon hearing the many voices, completely forgot what was going on or what was happening to her. Everyone had come back. Everyone! Her eyes welled with tears again as she tried her best to keep them in. However, she began to sob uncontrollably as she gave each one of them death hugs, her hugs feeling like iron grips. She couldn't really say much besides "I've missed you guys so much!"

The very emotional techie just couldn't believe herself and her circumstances. She had given a hug to Gax from his side pretty suddenly while he was waking up Muji. She then hugged Muji right after he fell asleep. After releasing Muji and upon turning around to see Percy, she scooped him up in a death hug, saying "Oh, you've changed so much!"

When Chester was done showing off his flip (which he so demonstrated how easily he hurt himself), she hugged him, as well. She mumbled a "I'll help you with that in a minute" before heading off to Keisuki, yelling "BIG BRO!"

When Ren appeared, Maria practically fell into him, as she was running out of energy from hugging everyone with a death grip. She acted like a little sister who was actually 8 instead of 16. "Oh my god, I thought you'd never show up! I got worried!"

She got a hold of herself and let go after she was done giving everyone hugs and sighed a little out of exhaustion before turning around and explaining what had happened to her life to Gax, but also to anybody else who had wanted to hear. "So, like, my dad got sick with some kind of malaria or something of the like. I had to stay there and help him get better while helping my mom through it all. I'm surprised I didn't cry during that horrible time, but after a few years, he got better! Like, yay, and I could come back! Now, about your leg." She went over to Chester with a weary and concerned look. Seemed like she was running herself ragged. "Hey, you need an ice pack or something? Well... I don't have an ice pack, but I can make something work."

Within moments, Percy was lifted from the ground and given a backbreaking bear hug, his face turning blue. Can’t...breathe! Seconds later he was brought down to the ground, getting a breathe of air.

“Woah woah woah, hey!” He said to no one in particular, getting his balance back. “Nice to see you too y’a human boa constrictor.”

Making a witty remark quickly after recovering, he watched as Weasel joined the crew. Now all of them were here. Lots of memeories came to mind, some happy, others embarrassing...cringe inducing ones. But the bittersweet memeories were enough to keep him here as opposed to trying another casino.

Gax sighed once more "Welp, I guess we'll now wait for- well ask and you shall receive! How are you-" before he could continue, Techie ran over and hugged him, knocking the wind out of him before moving on to the others in a flash. He coughed, regained his breath, and spoke " Final call Muji".
Moving on, Techie was back in another flash, explaining about her disappearance. Meanwhile, Chestnut decided to impress everyone with a backflip. He did impress Gax...until he fell on the floor either cursing or yelling a magical chant. Either way, he hurt himself...again.
Gax walked over casually " Glad to know your dad is fine! Anyway, this is why I'm confused that you didn't come in a full-body cast. Five minutes in the reunion and you already have a limp. You must have really been holding back. Ah well, you'll walk it off. We both know you've been through worse." he said. Sarcasm laced his voice, but also had a hint of euphoria.
He missed this. Teasing his friends, competing with them, or just simply being there with each other. He couldn't even remember why he became such a shut-in before.

"Besides being offended at the fact you guys didnt even greet the most noticable person here, I'm so happy to see all of you" Maika informs with a calm demeanor, containing her energy for when they arrived at their school's summer retreat. And speaking of the summer retreat, the bus that was supposed to take them there so happened to be pulling up. "Do you think I'll have cell service there? I really want to post some uber cute pictures" she asks, desperately wanting to tell her parents that she found her childhood friends. "Anywayzies....I CALL DIBS ON SITTING NEXT TO BIG BRO ON THE BUS!" she exclaimed. "If anybody says otherwise, I'll fight here and now!"

“Pffft, looks like someone had plans.” Percy chuckled with a wink. “Whatevs, imma take both the seat on mine, I have personal space issues.”

Strutting onto the bus, he was quick to lay down on both his seats, propping up his legs on them and putting his hands behind his head. He propped his head on the windowsill. Things are about to get interesting...or boring. Meh, don’t matter to me none, The money I got is already a plus.

Keisuke stared in awe at the reunited group of friends, it was already so hectic that the older boy didn’t even know where to start. On a good note, it looked like everybody was still the same- himself included, and had no problem going back to the old days. Honestly, he missed this “controlled” chaos they had, even despite all of the criticism he was partially known for, he most likely wouldn’t have his friends any other way. Most of the time…

Now Chestnut constantly hurting himself, that was something he needed to work on. Though Keisuke was still amazed at the boy performing a backflip, but instantly cringed at the sight of his friend screwing up the landing. Admittedly Keisuke would’ve helped Chester after he finished palming his own face, but he suddenly felt a surprisingly tight grip take hold of him. Which belonged none other than Techie, causing him to smile softly.

“It’s nice to see you again Marie, and wow, have you been taking wrestling classes or something?” He seriously asked, amazed at just how strong her bear hug proved to be.

Once Keisuke was free of Maria's hug, he immediately heard Sunshine’s voice echo throughout the area. What she said was alarming, thus Keisuke stood there with a half worried, half amused expression planted on his face.
“Now, now, I’m not going anywhere any time soon, so let’s just enjoy this trip without any fighting.” He told jokingly, simultaneously witnessing both Muji and Percy step onto the bus.

The boy decided to follow their lead and hop onto the bus, glancing back at everybody else one last time before taking his seat. “Anyway let’s make this trip one to remember, everybody.”

Maria was the first to explode into action. She was very physically affectionate, though that didn't quite surprise him. He watched her going around hugging the group in turn, failing to realize that her antics were going to include him until she was practically collapsing into his arms! He stiffened momentarily, not sure how best to respond to the overly familiar display, but reciprocated with a few pats on her back. Thankfully, she was soon distracted by a comment by Gax, and checking in on Chester, who had apparently decided to do something dangerous for attention shortly before Ren had showed up. That was certainly the Chester he remembered.

Gax had been trying to say something to him, he thought. But he'd been caught up by Maika's and Chester's antics. Well, it was alright for Ren to be a wallflower for now, they would all have their chances to catch up eventually. Especially since the bus was pulling in now, looked like he'd just made it. He stepped into line to board after some of the others, watching them get on board while he was still lost in his thoughts. He was getting kind of worried about Muji to be honest. With a height that extreme, he had to have gigantism. He wondered if that had anything to do with his seeming narcolepsy. People with gigantism tended to have weak hearts, after all. Even still, fifteen was young to be worrying about heart failure, wasn't it? He was asleep again, already, on the bus.

Maika, by contrast, was overflowing with energy. She promised to fight anyone who dared sit next to Keisuke. Ah, to be the popular kid. Ren wished him luck with that. Percy, meanwhile, was trying really hard to be the cool loner kid. Ren supposed he was at that age now, too cool for friends, parents, and much anything else. Speaking of Keisuke though, he was on the move, and Ren had an idea to be cheeky. He followed the other boy onto the bus, and very quickly, and perfectly naturally, sat beside Keisuke.

"Thought I'd spare you Maika's exuberance," he said to the other boy, with a slight grin on his face, and sat his bag on the floor in front of him.

Maika walked into the bus and was immidietly distraught seeing Ren sitting down next to Keisuke. She walked past the male and gave him a smile, "I'll throttle you once we get off this bus" the rather short female giggled out before sitting down behind Keisuke and Ren. She immidietly pulled out her phone to text her parents that she was finally on the bus. She was rather annoyed that Ren would do her like that, but she didn't really mind since she was just happy to see them all again.

Gax turned towards the bus, then back to Chestnut. " If you need help, scream." he joked before following. He couldn't help but grin. You could already tell how everyone was by where and how they sat. Percy attempting to grow some more edges by taking the two seats he was on. Weasel mischievously sitting next to Big-bro, despite Sunshine placing her claim on him like some sort of overprotective dog (or in her case more of a cat). Sunshine herself gave him what Gax liked to call the "murdorable smile", before sitting behind them, definitely on purpose. And Taidana on his third attempt at hibernation.
Gax went through and sat near the window. Hopefully the sights would distract him from his game console, which felt heavy in his pocket.

"Forget my leg, that hug could've broke my spine" he smiled. "Thanks for the offer but I don't think I'm gonna need one." chester replied. "I'll just walk it off, I'm as tough as a chestnut" he declared proudly raising his head. " Oh god I have to be locked in a tin can with wheels again", he mumbled limping onto the bus. The air around made him uncomfortable, the driver made him uncomfortable and the bus made him uncomfortable. Chester limped his way near the back of the bus so if it crashes (which it might), he wouldn't be at the front with shrapnel in his body. "GA you know there is a glitch you can attempt which allows you to get the a secrete ending. You just need to get some water and dunk your game console in" he shouted across the bus.

When Keisuke chose his seat, he expected to see Maika next to him not long after. Yet he was met with an unexpected outcome, Ren had taken the seat before Sunshine even got the chance, and when he gave his reason, Keisuke could do nothing but chuckle. “Ah it’s no big deal, but I still appreciate it, ya weasel.” He quietly joked with a hand over the side of his mouth, then he slightly turned to face Sunshine. “Sorry Mai, I’m sure we can spend some time together at the camp though.” He gave a quick smile before turning back around.

A few moments passed, and Keisuke's gaze was now fixated downwards. “Crazy how everyone is back, after so long huh? Like nobody was unable to make it, almost as if fate was trying to tell us something… It still feels like some kind of dream to me, honestly.” He speculated, but before Ren could even think to respond, he had already shrugged it off. “Well whatever. You excited for this summer camp, thing?”

"Oh reeeaally? Well, it's only fair that I should give you a life hack in return." Gax looked behind himself, staring at Chester right in his eyes. "If you ever try that, that limp will be the least of your problems. There's a wheelchair and IV calling your name."
Despite the joking tone, Gax instinctively put his hand to his pocket. Dangit Chestnut. Did you really have to remind me?
To keep his mind distracted, he stretched in his seat. He was hoping for the bus to hurry. The faster they move, the earlier the interesting stuff will happen.

"I'll have you know I'm a pacifist these days," he called after Maika, jokingly, as she settled into the seat behind him.

She had entered the bus after him, Gax and Chester shortly after her. Chester was walking with a fairly noticeable limp. Had he actually hurt himself that bad or was he just milking it? It was hard for Ren to tell, Chester had already been hopping around on one foot by the time he'd arrived. Keisuke soon required his attention instead. Seemed like after all this time he, at least, hadn't forgotten the name they'd all called Ren.

"I hope you appreciate my sacrifice, as Maika intends to destroy me for this," he replied to the other boy's thanks, in his same joking tone.

Keisuke's next statement came across as somewhat fatalist. Ren did have to agree, it was pretty crazy that their whole group had managed to meet up again like this. The other boy seemed to consider the admission to be a moment of weakness though, trying to move on to a lighter topic before Ren had a chance to answer. Still, he didn't want to leave that statement hanging between them without providing some kind of reassurance.

"Hey, no worries, it does seem like pretty crazy odds we were able to get back together like this," he said. Then he added, louder so Maika could hear him as well, "I wasn't so sure about camp when I first heard about it, but I'm happy to get to see you all again."

Maria, being the most courteous female there, allowed everyone to find a seat before she decided to sit next to anyone. There were a few open seats: one next to Chester, one next to Gax, Ren and Keisuke were sitting together, Muji was sitting alone, Percy took up the whole two seats, and Maika sat right behind Ren and Keisuke by herself. She could sit next to Chester, but sitting next to Gax would do her favors because she can make an easier conversation with him, especially if she pulled out her laptop and allowed him to see what she was doing. She understood that Gax had a bit of a dilemma with video games and found him getting uncomfortable right after he yelled back at Chester about his video games. Plus, Chester was too loud for her at the moment. She wanted someone chill to sit next to and Maika was definitely not one of them. Muji was silent as he was sleeping, but she preferred to have conversation. So, to Gax she went.

She sat next to the young man and took off her backpack and sat it in front of her legs while pulling out her laptop. She set it on her lap and gave Gax a cheeky smile before pulling her laptop open and asking, "Hey, you wanna see the website I'm making? Hopefully, I have wifi..." She pulled out a little wifi dongle and set up a hot spot on her phone, so she was able to use her laptop without having to worry about wifi issues while she waited for her laptop to boot up. She then logged in with quick fingers typing out her password, which seemed really long. After her desktop and its many icons came into view, she then clicked on a shortcut to a web file and what appeared was a simple, yet professional website for a clothing store. Categories of shirts, shoes, underwear, and pants scrolled through the top slowly, taking pauses in between the categories to allow people to click on them to be led to a different part of the site. The name of the store was "[INSERT TITLE HERE]", as if Maria had yet to add the title to the site. The site looked like it was still under maintenance. She pulled up a Notepad app that had a complicated series of code and words in HTML.

She then went on to explain. "Even though I'm proficient in C++, what my client wanted was a more simpler design for her website for her new store back in my home city. Trying to do it in C++ was too much of a hassle, so I went back to my default HTML coding."

She was always proficient in coding since she was old enough to learn how to type, which was when she was 10. Being a prodigy in code, she first learned HTML and it still was her best source to use when making anything. C++, despite her prodigal skills in HTML, was a struggle for her and it still is. Java was a little easier and she had an easier time with it, but when she found either of the programming languages difficult to create anything with because of what her clients have demanded, she always defaulted to HTML.
