Private/Closed Danganronpa: Cold Steel (Discussion)

How should the daytime/nighttime system be edited?

  • Total voters
    4
  • Poll closed .
I'm actually lost right now lol...

Can anyone give me a short little TL:DR?
Sure (I'm pretty sure this information is from your last post onward, if you had a more recent post that I didn't notice and this is old news, I'm sorry).
  • The doors to the rest of floor 1 opened (stemming out from the Common Room) and the map was added to the Monopad.
  • Most characters ended up grouping up in some way or another (Ralphie, Jane, and Ryuu; Jason and Ophelia; Hoshi, Honoka, and Paeon. Sort of on that last one, the affiliation between those three was unofficial) but others continued remaining solo.
  • Hoshi made dinner for everyone the first night, but I assume your character wouldn't have come so that's somewhat irrelevant.
  • The library, clinic/clinic closet, Room B, dining area, ? room, kitchen, kitchen storage, rec room, and dorms have all been explored (although most haven't been investigated very closely).
  • As of now, the most current progression event is a message over the intercom telling students to come to the common room for a couple of other announcements.
That's about it for events that affected all of the characters. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

Alright, the motive post is up! A bit of a note on it, as we have switched from an official time system based on real time to a more tongue-in cheek version, the actual temperature of the Stronghold will be fairly relative. As long as it's getting hotter the more actions your character does, it'll work out fine.
Obviously, this motive is not in real time. If it was, all of the characters would be dead or dying post day two. This motive will likely be stretched out until around Tuesday or Wednesday, so it's just getting progressively hotter on a relative scale.
Did the murders happen yet? Or is the murder being planned to happen yet? i'm trying to set up my time management correctly, so i can try to be active when a murder occurs
My initial plan was to have the first trial this weekend, but that's not going to work (the investigation period would be incredibly short, and the actual motive was just dropped).

So as of right now, the schedule is looking like this:
  • Motive reactions and the motive's effects take place from today to the time of the murder (NOT in real time, otherwise it'd be around/over two hundred degrees by the time of the murder).
  • Murder occurs on either Tuesday or Wednesday
  • Investigation lasts until late Friday
  • The Trial takes place next weekend and lasts for two days
  • The vote takes place, the culprit/scapegoat is executed, the Floor 2 Map is added, and the game returns to normal next Monday.
Don't worry, I'll be sure to post to this thread when the body drops. I'll tag you specifically, if you'd like. But basically that'll occur on either Tuesday or Wednesday (dependant on how long it takes to contact and form a plan with those who were rolled up for this case/those who volunteered for this case).

that makes me really happy for no real reason lmao
i can just imagine them doing something good and she’s excited for once and goes to high five him and he just ehhhhflinchesaway

“aha-! yes!” *attempt at a high five*
***flinch***
“wah- why’d you-“
“oh, im- sorry-“
“did-“
“sorry.”
“DID YOU THINK I WAS GONNA HIT YOU”
“well-“
“>:[[“

i just wanna see when the roles get switched and for once they get jason past his breaking point and he gets pissed while ophi is quiet and solemn.
incredibly out of character and unrealistic, but if that happens. ohohoho i will be LIVING.

false, i 100% absolutely totally do want to see that.
i think the absolutely BEST parts of characters are
a.) their flaws, and
b.) their breaking points.
seeing sweet quiet characters livid and screaming?? MY FAVORITE THING. rude snarky troubled characters vulnerable and quiet?? YESYESYESYESYES
it just makes them seem so much more humannnn and more balanced out and ugh i love it (but maybe that’s my inner aspiring-author haha whoops).

Ya see, for a Therapist, Jason is far more dark and serious and controlled than you'd expect. The reason he's intimidated by Ophelia is because he's actually from a pretty rough area, despite that being nowhere near apparent, so i figure he'd get the reputation.
So, in summary, he's seen a lotta stuff.

Apologies for the slow posts from my end; busy week. :/ Anytime I find a minute to get on, I have just enough time to catch myself up on posts then life calls me away again.

But I will post tomorrow morning. Intentionally setting aside time after the gym just for it. :'| In the meantime, anything anyone has Hoshi do in the background is fine; I'll find a way to explain it.

Well now... we're all having a party to which we raise our drinks up high and cheer for another day of survival! Whether we have juice, coffee or water... We drink to our future!

...I'm a little bored and found it a little funny that my simple gag of getting a drink made everyone follow.

I honestly love all of the talk about characters going on in the discussion thread! I hate to crash your party here, but I have an update post that I probably should've put up a couple of days ago.

The murderer and victim for this case have been rolled up and contacted. Please don't PM me with any requests asking to be the murderer for this chapter. Of course, hold onto your ideas if you had any. Feel free to make plans for future reference (we've got three cases after this one, so there's still a good amount of open opportunities).

Obviously, please don't announce anything like "haha wow I got picked/didn't get picked" on this thread. Because, well, y'know. This is a murder mystery, after all.

That being said… I was going to say that things are about to heat up in the roleplay, but I guess that's already happening. I'll come up with an original joke eventually.

Alright, sorry about that. Carry on with your discussion!

Everything is falling apaaaaaaaaaaaaaart
Meanwhile throughout all of this, Jason is just trynna work out the physics for the most effective way to flip a table to create the most possible noise.

I swear this will all make sen- I mean, SORTA make sense eventually

Let me just say that reading through both this discussion thread and the actual roleplay itself has been a cycle of "Oh, okay, I think I know what you're going to- oh. Oh no. That's not where I thought this was going."

Thank you guys for keeping this interesting and unexpected, even for me (same goes for everyone's characters, I'm really glad that everyone's personalities are all across the board). I honestly do appreciate it (even if it means I have to frequently go digging through my notes to see if something would work out or not).

But needless to say, the trial is going to be… interesting, to say the least, considering the grab bag of characters we have here.

Okay since I live in the UK time zone and people are assholes and school and many other factors I won’t be able to post for the rest of the day past now, so yeahhhh that sucks

I guess that adds some extra humour to this situation by meaning you won’t find out the purpose of that action until tomorrow but i’m just salty it had to turn out that way lol

here’s an AU: Jason really does die from this and Ophi survives the situation

It was some time in May that Ophelia Morales remembered Jason.
It was in the middle of a game of pool, actually, with some guys in a bar for a bet. One of them didn’t seem too excited about Ophi’s sudden victory as she shot the eight ball into the pocket with deadly precision, promptly ramming his pool stick into the girl’s stomach, lunging over to slap her across the face. She leaned into the table and kicked him away from her, only to be grabbed by the other and held still as she kicked and thrashed, while the original man brought a harsh fist to her face. Grimacing, the girl kicked him in the groin, twisting around to bite the man holding her. He tasted of bad cologne.
With a roar of pain, the man let go, when the people around them finally stepped in.
“I think you should leave,” one of them growled gruffly, ushering the two men to the door (after Ophi collected her money, of course), and the man, seeming very agitated, flipped a table over on his way out, and that’s what sparked it, as she distinctly remembered that idiot flipping the table and screaming for Monokuma.
Taking out her phone as though nothing had happened, the girl opened Facebook and typed in Jason Vellance.
After a moment of stalking through his old photos, she finally got herself an address, piecing together pictures from outside their house and such.
Leaving the bar swiftly, the girl mounted her motorcycle and drove herself there, finding herself outside a nice little suburban house. She approached the door and knocked lazily.
A short, plump woman opened the door to greet her, her smile dissipating as she saw who was at her door. A beat up teenager, with a bruise on her cheek and a bleeding lip, and a tattoo on her arm.
“Um. Is.. are you Jason’s mother?”
The woman gasped, bringing a hand over her mouth as tears quickly filled her eyes. She grabbed at Ophi’s arm.
“I- yes! I am-! Please, tell me he’s okay, tell me my boy’s safe..” she pleaded desperately. Ophelia promptly plucked a cigarette from her pack and placed it between her teeth.
“He died.”
The woman screamed, collapsing against Ophi as heart-wrenching sobs racked through her shoulders. Ophi stood there awkwardly, waiting for the moment to pass.
“Uh. Miss.”
The woman looked up weakly, bleary-eyed.
“Please make sure you’re feeding the cat.”

oh bOY i just wasted a lot of time writing that lol

You know what’s funny? Ralph is the only one here that’s tactically inclined. A combat specialist. And you pick him of all people to punch. Heh. This will be fun.

Sure, he's a combat specialist, but I doubt he has as much experience in actual combat as Parker or Ophi honestly. Not to mention their moral compasses aren't as, uh, fine-tuned.
