Private/Closed Corrupt Arena Roleplay

Zoey heard a bang in the distance, trying to find a gap to see what was going on. She saw the wall to the yard destroyed, and then faintly, a boy running across the cells. Umbreon barged into the door, trying to get out with its moves. If this prison was crashing down, it didn’t want to be in a cell to die. “Umbreon, stop! That guy.. he did it. We’re fine.” Umbreon stopped, glaring at its trainer. It had damaged the door a bit, and had made a big racket, along with the wall breaking happening outside. Although, Zoey excepted grunts to come, nobody did. They must’ve been distracted or something, surely the noise would alert them in a normal situation. Zoey slumped down, leaning on the door. “What’re we going to do.. there’s nothing here..” She sighed, utterly bored.

In the distance, Peter heard a lot of noise. Maybe there was another training session. He grabbed the pillow on the bed he was lying on, and wedged it over his head, covering his ears. It was like a massive, nearly-solid headphone set. Still, he attempted to get sleep. Eventually, he did so.

He woke up, in a completely black void-like area. As Peter looked around, he then noticed, when he looked up, that there were his six Pokemon, all in a ball-like bubble. They all looked really sad and upset. Suddenly, he woke up again, to the noise even louder that it pierced through the pillow, and he could hear it louder. Deciding he couldn't sleep, he leant against the wall, hoping something would happen.

Nyx's mind was completely absorbed in the video pad she'd been given when the bed beneath her gave a violent shudder. And not just the bed; the walls and ceiling shuddered, sending a shower of dust over her cell. Nyx leapt from her bed toward the cell door, though she knew there would be no where safe in this tiny cell if the ceiling caved in on top of her.

On the verge of yelling through the bars in hopes of getting the aide of one of the people rushing by, Nyx caught sight of what the grunts all seemed to be rushing toward. A boy, or man as he seemed closer to, stood not far off, fiddling with a control panel on the wall and unlike all the other men she'd seen so far, he wasn't wearing a uniform. Whether she knew who he was or not, it was clear he wasn't one of this grunts who had abducted her. Her abducters were the ones coming up behind him, fast.

"Hey, watch your back!" she called out as a warning.

When Elvira was dropped back to her cell, one of the grunts shoved a data pad through the cell. The trainer demanded an explanation, only getting an “Study those clips or else you are going to miraculously fail your next battle.”

She stared at the clip, watching another female trainer releasing a Mawile. Elvira did not have any doubts so far, until she saw something that appalled her. The other female trainer clicked something which caused the Mawile to.. transform? It looked like evolution, but it kind of wasn’t the same time.

“What- What is that?!” Elvira hissed. It seems that our Unova trainer is not aware of the exsistance of Mega Evolution. Could she possibly come from a universe in where Mega Evolution is non-existant, or maybe she just lives under a rock?

Her staring ended when she heard yelling, running, and screaming all at the same time along with violent rumbles. She dropped the datapad to look outside, watching chaos unfold.

Suddenly, Wyndham remembered something Lysandre had taught him. He heard the warning and knew that the grunts were closing in on him, so he decided to risk it all. Wyndham turned around and said as loudly and clearly as he could, “I know which wire is the correct one, and if you don’t run away right now, I will release every prisoner here, and they will make you run away.”

The grunts, as Wyndham had expected, didn’t know which wire was the correct one because they were only grunts and not admins or guards or the leader. Wyndham had a little experience in the evil team business, so he had known this would happen. This meant that the grunts believed him when he told the, he knew the wire, and several of them ran off. The ones that didn’t were immediately attacked by Wyndham’s Aegislash, and then they ran off.

Wyndham had bought himself some time, but he still wasn't any closer to knowing which wire was which. Then, he noticed something. One wire was blue, one was red, and one was green. Linking these up to fire, water, and grass types, he thought that there was a riddle here. After several minutes of thinking, he couldn’t figure it out, and he went to the nearest cell and asked the strange looking trainer, the one who had warned him the guards were coming, which wire he should pick.

Jack felt like the riot took too much of his precious time. "Dhelmise, Anchor Shot!" He said as he released his Dhelmise and made it wrap around the prisoners. "Which one of you fools started this? If you're honest and confess, your punishment might be less severe but I wouldn't count on it." He said with a malevolent grin as he recalled his Milotic and the Haze got dispersed. "I'll go inform the chief, you keep an eye on them. Don't be afraid to put the squeeze on them." He said as he gave Dhelmise's ball to a grunt and walked away.

"Being a grunt is not so bad, now I just need to find the boss or find a way out of here." He told himself as he wandered around the building, seeing prisoners flinch at the sight of him which made him smile. I will get out of here, you can rot here for eternity for all I care.

Nyx looked taken aback at being asked such a technical question. She didn't know anything about the system he was working on. "How should I know?! Just pick one. Green, maybe?" When this didn't seem to satisfy him, she shrugged her shoulder and added, "I don't know, just cut them all at once. Hurry before more guards come!" She shook her bars with conviction, but they were as sturdy as ever.

“I was really hoping for something more than that.” Replied Wyndham, but he ran over and pulled out Aegislash, cutting each wire simultaneously. The first thing that happened was that the doors began to open, and Wyndham was exceedingly happy. However, then the power went out before they opened fully. “Can anyone fit through their doors?” Wyndham shouted to the prisoners.

Just when he was about to attempt to sleep again, the cell gates started opening. Quickly Peter spun around and then noticed the lights went out, and the door was slightly open. Then, the shout "Can anyone fit through their doors?" came through the area, and people were shouting stuff back. Peter attempted to pull himself out, and managed to. 'DID IT!'. Others were starting to pull through, and Peter didn't know what to do. He ran to where the shout came from, spotting a trainer. 'Hey. I see your Aegislash. How'd you get your Pokemon back? I really want to find mine.'.

The first trainer to squeeze through the door of their cell came up to Wyndham. When they asked about his Aegislash, he responded with, “It’s a long story, but to make it short, I don’t know where your Pokémon are being kept and I don’t know how to transport you back to your home world. I was sort of hoping one of you might know.”

A grunt ran down the hallway and punched a prisoner in the mouth, quickly handcuffing them. Several more were following. Wyndham slashed a grunt who had attacked him to the ground and saw an exit. To the left of the release button he had used to open the cells, was a door that required a key card. He quickly found one on the grunt he had killed/gravely injured, and he also found a key for handcuffs. Then, Wyndham said to the other prisoners, “Follow me! We can’t fight off this many grunts!”

Zoey started hearing shouts, the lights went out, and cell doors started to open, but suddenly stopped with a small gap. She slowly walked to it, peering outside to see a boy running by to the trainer at the wires. Umbreon swiftly ran past Zoey and through the door, with no problem at all. It looked at her through the bars, and then a grunt ran into it, attacking it. Zoey shouted moves through the door, trying to help it out, until the grunt launched onto the Pokemon, trying to grab it. Zoey gasped, and squeezed through the door, pulling herself out. She grabbed the grunt, threw him off Umbreon and took hold of the Pokemon, then quickly rushed away to Wyndham and Peter. She was disappointed that nobody knew where her Pokemon were, but she saw a grunt looking inside her dorm to find her, and went up to him, seeing a bag with five Pokeballs inside, must've been hers she thought, so she grabbed the bag, put Umbreon back inside his ball and went to the exit, waiting for everybody else. She peered at Wyndham for a moment, "Hey.. uh, thanks."

Lloyd came to after assumingly zooming out in his cell upon the sound of the alarm, the sudden cut to darkness and a slight light as the door opened... slightly. Lloyd began to show a morbid grin as he started to squeeze through the gap and get out. "Gotta find my Pokémon before those assholes find me." He thought to himself as he started running down the halls and over to find whoever opened his cell door. He put his hood up as he ran. "Where are my Pokémon?" He asked as he looked at Wyndham, his face showed signs of worry.

Peter, without hesitation, followed this new trainer, to the door, before any grunts could attack him. Suddenly, a Lycanroc came pounding over to him, along with his other five Pokemon. They were all clutching their Pokemon. Quickly, he took all the Poke-Balls and returned them all. 'What was the coincidence level of that? Oh, well, I have my Pokemon now, and I can get out easier.'. Quickly, he released Lycanroc, gave his mane a quick pet, as he barked happily, and then got to business.

As the prisoners ran through the door, it was a large corridor now, and Peter was fleeing as fast as he could, along with the horde of prisoners. Lycanroc was close near him. However, grunts weren't short behind, and at the back, people were being pulled back and attacked. Peter's heart jumped, and he continued to ran. Then, he tripped over something, and landed on the floor. Not soon after, and there were ten grunts, mostly male and their Pokemon. They attempted to handcuff Peter, but he kept fidgeting with his hands, refusing to be imprisoned. He returned Lycanroc, before he could be injured. Hands also were fisting at Peter's back, and he was wincing. 'Help!'.

Even though Pokemon were designed to battle, usually Peter couldn't see them being hurt in a battle for his life, so he didn't tend to use them when it was necessary. However, this time, it was too desperate. He sent out his Meowstic, and it blasted the grunts backwards, and Peter continued to run, limping, but still quite fast. Another Pokemon of his came out of its Poke-Ball on its own and he was on the shoulders of his Garchomp, with his Meowstic resting on his head. Peter had no strength, so it was solely up to his Pokemon to help him. Garchomp, with Meowstic prancing afterwards, caught up to the other trainers at the front.

Another 2 worried trainers approached Wyndham, but he ignored them both and ran off through the door he had found. While h Kennewick where he needed to go, he had no idea how to get there, or where he was going. However, the passage he found seemed to be relatively empty, suggesting that it was for only high level personal. Wyndham continued along until he found a convenient map of the facility.

However, inconveniently, the map said that the transportation department was on the other side of the complex. Wyndham thought about looking for the place where they store stolen Pokémon, but he decided it would be a waste of time. Taking a picture of the map on his PSS, he ran off in the direction of the transportation department, ignoring every other trainer he saw, and avoiding every battle he could.

Lloyd was annoyed at being ignored, so he scoffed and tried to look for his Pokémon himself, he eventually stumbled upon his bag and smirked lightly, he looked inside to see all 6 of his Pokémon were still there. Before he could put it on, two of his Poké balls opened to let out is Garchomp, Eartha and his Electivire, Thor who were both happy to see Lloyd and vice versa. "Alright guys, I know you wanna get out of here as much as I do, but what say we stop Rainbow Rocket from what they're doing? We free the prisoners and kill the grunts." He said with a light smirk.

Thor pointed in the direction of five approaching grunts who all took out their Pokémon which consisted of mainly Poison types. "Out of out way, we're freeing the prisoners!" Lloyd demanded. "Like hell we will!" one grunt said before they all commanded their Pokémon to attack whilst a couple went to try and subdue Lloyd. "Eartha! Sandstorm!" Lloyd shouted as Thor grabbed him and jumped back to a safe distance with him. The Garchomp slammed her claws at the ground and a tornado of sand covered part of the hallway, obscuring the vision of both person and Pokémon.

Once the sandstorm abruptly cleared, the grunts all rubbed their eyes from getting sand in them whilst a few of the Pokémon still attempted their attack. "Now use Dragon Claw!" Lloyd commanded. Whilst Eartha began to hack at the Pokémon one by one, they didn't notice one grunt attempted to sneak up behind them so he could subdue Lloyd once more...

Zoey had watched everyone leave, but in the hurry, she saw another trainer down the corridor, looking like he was in a bit of trouble with the grunts. He was doing pretty well, but she saw a grunt coming up behind him, and ran as fast as she could. She kicked the grunt away, hard, which made him lay on the ground clutching where he was hit. Zoey looked at the trainer, giving a small wave to him, "Hi.. I'm Zoey. I suppose.. you're welcome?" She smiled at him, not actually knowing what to do next. Umbreon had trotted along behind her, and looked up at his Pokemon, doing its little greeting back, just as Zoey had done.

Lloyd flinched at the sound of someone being hit behind him, Thor quickly turned around to prepare a Thunder Punch only to see that it was another prisoner, so he stood down. Lloyd turned around and lightly smiled at the woman who introduced herself as Zoey. "Name's Lloyd, thanks for the save, these guys here are Thor and Eartha." He said as he lightly gestured to the Electivire next to him and the Garchomp who defeated the last of the grunts and their Pokémon and returned to Lloyd's side.

Lloyd looked at the grunt that Zoey kicked and walked up to it, he proceeded to give him a hard kick in the face in anger which knocked the grunt out. Lloyd sighed as he seemed calmer. "You wanna help me free everyone else? I don't prefer the whole 'Every man for himself' thing, you know what I'm saying?" He asked Zoey and held his hand out to her.

Jack was still wandering around the complex as the lights went out. "A blackout? Someone is responsible for this, and I would not be surprised if it turns out to be a captive." He said to himself as he saw a familiar figure run towards him. "Well well, must be a lucky break for me."

He jumped in front of Wyndham and tried to stop him. "Hello, are you lost? Someone like you should not walk around on their own, there are people here that would love to throw you back into jail and use you to get a promotion." Jack said with a grin that did not look evil, but it didn't instill confidence either.

"How about this? You go along with me to the boss and I won't harm you. We had a deal before and I kept my word then, so why should I stab you in the back now? Stick with me and you will stay out of jail for a little while longer."

Zoey looked up at Lloyd's Pokemon, "Woah.." She said quietly, then pointed to her Umbreon, "This is my Umbreon, it doesn't really have a nickname, maybe it'll get one when I actually find out its gender." She laughed, Umbreon sat down by her, waiting for the trainers to get moving again.

Zoey was surprised at the calm man when he suddenly kicked the grunt unconscious, but he reverted back to his calm self again. "I'd be up for that, it feels good to actually talk to someone, have actual company, instead of those grunts. Anyway, I like the heroic route, if that's what you want to call it." Even Umbreon had responded with a nod, it would never want its trainer trapped in a place like they were now in, and of course, it would never want to stay here either, but Zoey couldn't keep anyone in the same fate like this. Zoey put her hand on Lloyd's, shaking it in agreement. "So, how do you plan to do this? I think our Pokemon should have the grunts handled, the rest of mine can come out to help, too." She sighed, "Boy, does it feel great to make a stand against these grunts, finally..!"

Lloyd smiled and nodded. "We can only hold our own against them for so long, that's why I wanna help everyone else out and get their Pokémon, then together we can stand a fighting chance and burn Rainbow Rocket to the ground, I think we should take out surveillance first so then they won't know where to start looking. Then we'll go and break the rest of the prisoners out and escort them to their Pokémon. And after that..." He let out a faint yet morbid chuckle. "...The real fun can begin." He said as he went over to a map and start looking for where surveillance is.

“Arceus on a Bicycle!” Elvira hissed as she bolted from her cell. Due to the blackout, she could barely see a thing. The only way she could get past grunts was blindly kicking and punching in every direction. If only her Pokemon were here..

Speaking of her Pokemon..

The Samurott was inside her Pokeball, her eyes closed and sitting down. She looked pretty defeated. Her eyes then shot open when she heard a thud right next to her.

(“Jurojin?”) She murmured, looking to her left.

A few seconds later, she ended up hearing more and more thuds. Her teammates seemed to be ramming the walls of their Pokeballs with their body. Ebisu was little reluctant to do so, but then she remembered that she was the leader of her own team, and Elvira’s most trusted Pokemon. What was she doing by just sitting around anyway? The Samurott too began to ram the wall of her Pokeball with her own body.

To the outside world, the Pokeballs looked like they were shaking...

'C-Can I help?'. Peter, on top of Garchomp, was in-front of the two trainers. 'I-I want to help...'. He was still injured from the attack, and Garchomp was trying to keep him up from dropping off. Meowstic was at his side, and she purred, determined to help. Another grunt came running up to them, and Meowstic jumped forwards, using Moonblast, which hit the grunt back, and she hit into some other grunts. 'Weneedtogo....'. Peter's words were slurred, and Garchomp was now evidently losing grip. He was trying to push his trainer back on his shoulders, and Meowstic was doing the same.

The latter then, without explanation, burst into the door, and came out minutes later, holding a TM. It had now learned a new move, and on the TM, there was permanent marker. 'Heal Pulse'. Meowstic was glowing blue at the paw, and it fired a beam at Peter, multiple times, and although there was still the physical damage, he looked more energetic. 'Meowstic! Thanks so much!'. Meowstic mewed happily. 'OK, we've gotta move! The grunts will expect us to either go up there, and might even have already got up there, and we can't go backwards, of course. So I say, we blast through the wall, and I have an idea how.'.

(Peter's in-front of Lloyd and Zoey.)

Zoey looked at Lloyd with a confident smile, and pointed to the surveillance on the map. “You look like you have strong Pokemon, without the moves, even, so if prisoners are trapped inside, we can use them to force the doors open.” She quietly laughed again, “The real fun..” She said with a smug like face. She’d heard stomping behind her, and turned round to see a Garchomp with another trainer on its back. Zoey was sort of confused, but waved anyway. “First, Lloyd was planning to help everyone out. We’re going against the ‘every man for himself’ saying!” She said happily, but wanted to know his plan, “Anyway, carry on, this sounds interesting.”

'Go! Steelix!'. Peter held his Poke-Ball far out, and tried to wave everyone to stand a distance away. Out came a gigantic Steelix. It hit the ceiling, but due to how tough it was, it didn't have enough space to keep solid, so it automatically went back in. 'Damn, too small and solid. I was gonna have Steelix blast through the walls. Garchomp! Try using Return!' Garchomp turned to the wall, and slammed into it as hard as he could, but to no avail. 'Meowstic! Try... uh... anything!'. Meowstic jumped forth and attempted to fire a Moonblast, but it did nothing. It then attempted to move the wall out of place, but that was evidently not working. 'Nothing!'.

Lloyd smiled as he looked back at Peter and is Garchomp, Eartha went to greet the fellow Garchomp whilst Zoey pointed to where surveillance was. "The more the merrier, let's get to surveillance to make it harder for Rainbow Rocket to find us, come on!" Lloyd said as he gestured to both people and Pokémon to follow him as he began to run down the hallway, making a few turns to the direction on where the surveillance room was, Thor the Electivire was right behind him and Eartha was right behind Thor. A few grunts stood in their way, but Thor and Eartha made quick work of them by slamming them into the wall on their way past.

Umbreon ran after Lloyd and his Pokemon as Peter tried the wall, but to no luck. “Don’t worry about that for now, we’re taking out the surveillance.” She told him, pointing to her bag of Pokeballs, “We can all work together on it later.” She said, following after Umbreon and Lloyd. She was impressed how he handed the grunts, fast and to the point. Umbreon looked close, looking like it had some new ideas.

Zoey pointed to a room labelled, ‘Surveillance’ and ushered the two trainers to go in with her. It was empty, with the big rush of grunts emptying most side rooms out. There were lots of screens showing the chaos in the building, which would really help them to find out where the cameras were hidden. Umbreon started shooting moves at the screens, taking them out so no grunts would see anymore. Luckily, the Pokemon had left the top screen, showing tiny views of each camera and what it could see. Zoey did a thumbs up to Umbreon, and then the two boys.

Wyndham was almost at the place where he thought the transportation department would be, when he was tackled by a grunt. Quickly recognizing Jack, he said, “Hey. Let’s negotiate this. I know where the way out of this world is. If you let me go, I’ll get you to the transportation department. Why do we have to stop Rainbow Rocket? We could just leave them alone and escape.”

A ball unclipped itself from Wyndham’s belt, hitting the ground quietly. It waited for a response from Jack to attack, but the wrong response was going to set a Machamp on a human in a wrestling match.

"And let these jerks continue capturing humans for their own amusement? They could capture us again and lock us up in a high-security cell. The other prisoners should escape too, the people that took part in the prison riot have a Dhelmise keeping them in place and I am not leaving without getting my Zoroark back. When we freed everyone, we should smash the computers and other stuff so they can't go after us. What do you say?" Jack said as he looked around for any grunts that could blow his cover, getting slightly nervous as time went on.
