Open CoDA - (A Superpower RP) Still Accepting New Arrivals

"Well, don't stress about it. Whatever is happening, it seems to be working. So that's good" Aura said, smiling. "Besides, you're stronger than you realise" She said, Aura smiled looking down at the floor.

"Y-you think so?" Kevin asked, looking at Aura. Kevin had been called a lot of things, most of them names in honor of his other half he'd rather not recall, strong was not one of them.

"Yeah, of course!" Aura exclaimed, she smiled at him. She then looked around, confused. "We've been walking for a while... are we lost?" She asked, trying to work out where they were. They were in some sort of corridor, she couldn't see the classroom anywhere.

Kevin noticed they were lost the second Aura made it clear to him. Kevin didn't have a great memory of the school so he was clueless as to where they currently were.

"I-I think so, but I'm sure we'll find our way back...I hope." Kevin said, not giving the most reassuring answer one could give.

"Uhhh... Should we just go back the way we came?" Aura asked, unsure. She looked round the corner and saw some older students walking around. She turned back to Kevin and Ryker.

Aurrea had slipped out of the house quickly, cackling her way down the high school corridors. The upper classmen hardly bat an eye at the dragon roaming the halls, as the self appointed vice principal was a very common sight. Especially if she did something that could possible cause either of the school heads to chase after her. Aurrea kept up her mischievous front, hiding her worry and unease with a mad grin, convincing pretty much everyone around here that today was as normal as any other day.

The little dragon paused, continuing to float in mid air. Up ahead, looking quite lost, were three students. Certainly not old enough to be this deep in the volcano campus. "Oi! You three? You lost or something?" she chirped, swiftly swerving on her flight path to stop above the student's heads. "Classes are going to start up soon, and if I recall, you are no where near your section of the campus." Her amber eyes blinked slowly, her entire demeanor, including the pose in which she floated, had the sort of lax, cheshire cat vibe.

Aura flinched as she heard the voice, for a second she was shocked at the sight of the dragon, then she remembered this was a magic school. "Uhh, yes, we're a little lost" Aura said, looking around. "Do you know where we're meant to be?"

Kevin looked at the dragon, not saying a word. Though for reasons beyond his explanation he shifted into his partial transformation. Scales soon covered his skin and his eyes became more reptilian. Kevin didn't know why but something in him felt...threatened by the dragon's presence. His senses putting him on edge...if only slightly.

Aura looked down slightly and noticed Kevin changing a bit. She turned to face him and saw him changing. "Remember, you're in control" Aura said quietly. She then turned to face the dragon, hoping it knew where they were meant to be.

Kevin listened to Aura's words before he took a breath.

"I'm in control."

Soon the scales dissipated and Kevin's eyes reverted to normal. Kevin took a couple breaths before turning to Aura.

"Thanks...I needed that." Kevin said with a smile, showing his gratitude.

Sky shot a glare at Aurrea as she left, not many but her advice was probably the best he had. Giving Draco one final look, he dissipated his form and was gone. Going downwards in the same direction as the little dragon, he passed by three year nines, and stopped for a second as he caught one of them asking about where they were meant to be. Mentally going over his timetable, he solidified, and replied "You guys should be in combat training, which is actually the same lesson I'm teaching now. Just make a right at the next turn and you'll be out of here." Sky then disappeared back into his natural form, heading through a vent in the ceiling. After landing back in the classroom he was due to teach in, adequately named 'Combat Training 1', and opened the door. "Right, kids, come in. Find a partner, and find a spot in here, preferably as far away from other pupils as possible so that nothing hits other pairs."

"Wanna pair up?" Aurora asked Kevin. She gave a small smile and lifted up her hands. She felt relaxed, so hopefully she'd stay in control. She gave her hand a little shake and a cold breeze swept up around her. Her powers seemed to be controllable today so maybe this lesson would help her.

"S-sure." Kevin said, answering Aura's question. Kevin didn't feel great about the idea of Combat Class, but he felt a lot better doing it with Aura than he would with a stranger.

Aura smiled and went over to an empty area of the room. She was trying to keep calm, but on the inside she was afraid that she'd hurt him. She breathed in and cleared her mind, she needed to concentrate now. She readied herself and waited for further instructions. "I'm in control" She muttered to herself, "I'm the boss"

"You may start whenever you and your partner are ready. We're starting off simple today- your goal is to stop your opponent moving, with as little damage to them as possible. As a superhero, this is an essential skill, as you will inevitably have to stop somebody escaping from somewhere, but you always want to minimise the damage. So, please, try not to break their legs. That's a pain to fix." Sky told them, walking through and looking at the different pairs. There was one partnership that caught his eye, and one of the two he recognised from the fight in the caves. The other, he could chilling the air around her, particles loosing energy and sinking to the ground, and was that frost he could see on her eyelashes. Sky walked over to them, and quietly watched

Kevin nodded as the instructions were given out before shifting into his partical transformation. Scales soon covered his body and his eyes became reptilian.

"Ready w-when you are." Kevin said to Aura

When Sky began the match a short kid, who just so happened to be Ryker's partner charged at him. Ryker made a simple side step to avoid before the kid could lay a finger on him. Then he grabbed the kid's wrist and pulled him towards his body, before sending his other arm across to catch him. "Done teach!" Ryker called out as the kid in his arms squirmed.

Meanwhile in her class, Tia had quickly dispatched of her partner. Clay was dealing with his partner. Ryka, sadly, had been quickly dispatched by her partner. She lay on the floor in her cat form and groaned. Tia sighed, watching the cat out of the corner of her eye while she kept her partner pined down.

"I'm ready!" Aura exclaimed. She stepped forward and thrust her hands towards the ground, creating icicles which were extending towards the ceiling. She then ran around Kevin, trying to freeze the floor around him.

Kevin saw Aura run around him, the floor freezing as she touched it and jumped, sticking on one of the class walls to avoid the freezing ground and ceiling.

"Okay...now how do I get close to her?" Kevin asked himself, hanging to the wall as he thought the situation over.

"Okay, he can scale the walls... Good to know" Aura murmured. She quickly froze the rest of the ground in there area and looked up at Kevin, thinking of the best way to trap him.

Kevin frowned as Aura froze the rest of their battle area. Well that was great, now what was Kevin supposed to do? Kevin could avoid her by sticking to the walls, but he wasn't gonna win this way. Kevin had to get close to her.

"Well, here goes nothing." Kevin said as he suddenly jumped from the wall and looked to deliver a diving tackle on Aura, hoping the surprising speed of the unexpected jump would catch Aura off guard.

Kevin hit Aura and together they fell to the ground. Aura squirmed to get out of Kevin's grip, but she couldn't. Flexing her hands, she made the area start to get colder and colder.

Wow that actually worked! I have her pinned! I can win this! I can...

Suddenly Kevin felt a stinging sensation as he felt the area grow colder. Instinct took over as Kevin released his grip on Aura and stood up, backing away to escape the cold. Unfortunately Kevin's instincts forgot the ground was frozen as Kevin struggled to remain upright.

"Oh...not good not good not..." Kevin said as he wobbled before his feet slipped and he fell backwards; having landed on his butt.

"Ow..."

Aura felt her hands, they were warmer than usual. She wasn't used to combat like this. She thrust her hands towards the walls, trying to freeze them as much as she could.

Kevin watched as Aura began to freeze the walls. This was bad! He had to do something. Kevin tried to get up, but was unable to get footing. Without footing he couldn't jump, and soon there would be nowhere to go. Kevin needed to get himself steady, that's when he looked at his hands and an idea popped in his head. Focusing he extended his nails into small claws and slammed them into the ice floor. With his claws now sticking into the ice Kevin got the support to stand up. Kevin made it to his feet! Unfortunately Kevin was too late, Aura had frozen all the nearby walls he could jump to.

"Well...this isn't good." Kevin said to himself, watching Aura as he stood helpless on the ice floor.

Aura skated around the small area, surrounding Kevin. She then touched the ground while circling him, causing spiky icicles start to grow out of the icy ground. She then stood there watching the icicles grow, wondering if Kevin would find a way out.

Aura's face wasn't as pale as normal, she felt kind of warm. As far as she knew that wasn't good, but she tried to ignore it.

Kevin let out a sigh. Kevin didn't see a way out of this mess. Kevin couldn't move, the claws were the only thing keeping him up and if he pulled them out to move he'd fall on his butt. Kevin couldn't use his acid spit since this was a spar....

Wait, that's it!

Kevin began to spit on the ice floor beneath him, the acid began to cause the ice to melt. Soon Kevin stood on a puddle of non-frozen land. Now he had footing, this was his chance! Kevin jumped over the icicles to deliver a tackle to the skating Aura.

Aura slid out of the way of the tackle, causing her to overbalanced and tumble over onto the cold floor. She lay there for a moment, enjoying the cool ice, she then remembered what she was doing, so she shakily got up to her feet. She readied herself, waiting for the next attack.

Aura avoided Kevin's tackle as Kevin crashed and slid on the ice floor. Kevin took a moment to collect himself before he began to spit on the ice next to him creating another "safe spot" for Kevin to stand in. However, Aura was too quick to hit on this ice floor, so Kevin felt he needed to get rid of it.

Taking a deep breath Kevin began to spit all around the ice floor, careful not to hit near Aura, as he began to try and melt as much of the ice floor as he could.

Aura dodged the acid and ran towards Kevin at full speed, getting ready to trap him with icicles. She leapt into the air and pointed her hands towards the ground. Icicles blasted up out of the ground, growing taller and taller, trying to surround Kevin.

Kevin found himself being surrounded with icicles and acted quickly. Kevin began to spit at the surrounding icicles to melt them. Things went well until Kevin stopped producing saliva. Something was wrong, the icicles had made it extra cold! Kevin couldn't produce saliva in these conditions. This was bad!

Bad turns to worse as a sudden cold breeze takes any already limited action Kevin could do and puts it in the realm of impossibility. Forget acid spit, Kevin's reptilian body couldn't even move by this point, as Kevin began to wrap himself up in a desperate attempt to stay warm. Now he was firmly trapped in Aura's icicle prison and at her mercy.

Kevin reverted to his regular form as he began to shiver endlessly. It would take some time to warm up again, but Kevin would be fine.

"C-C-Cold...s-s-soo c-cold..." Kevin said, as his teeth began to chatter; his reptilian powers having had a poor reaction to Aura's ice powers.

"Oh, here" Aura said, she ran to the window and pulled back the curtains, letting the warm sunshine in. She raised her arms and returned the temperature of the room to normal. She wiped her forehead, she was warmer than usual.

Sky walked over to Aura and Kevin, saying "Very impressive! Kevin, you did exceptionally well at staying mobile for as long as you did, with such a big disadvantage. And Aura, you did a very good job, fully stopping all movement from him, whilst keeping off you and getting away from him. Good job, both of you." He flicked his hand, and a warm breeze began to flow through the room, in an attempt to warm Kevin up
