Ask to Join Chronicals of Necros: Return of the Tagryn Empire (Prologue)

" I know." He said. He then let out a breath. " How do you feel about going to a wedding with my double and a couple of my royal guards." He said as he looked at Thomas and Hunter. He let out a breath. He turned his head as he heard the door open. The Hethian king walked in with Bethel and Harry beside him. The older man smiled as he looked at the group. " Here I thought we were going to be late." He said.

"Driver? How long will it be before we reach our destination," bell hummed and looked up towards where the driver would be sitting. Her arms shifting a small bit before relaxing. The blades hidden in the long sleeves of her robes being adjusted accordingly.

" Ten minutes." The driver said as he continued to go there.

Gabil let out a breath He took out a piece of paper. He wrote down " Can I have your youngest sister's hand in marriage." on it and handed it to the oldest. ' Might as well get it out of the way now.' He thought.

Avian snapped his fingers in the black quill officer's face. " Hey are you listening to me." He said.

"Huh? Uh, kinda..." Falaern said. Suddenly, a flash of purple energy focused in one part of the room for a second, and where no one had previously stood James Storm and Ezequiel Sheuzor were standing.
"Hope we're not too late." James said with a chuckle.

The oldest took the paper but didn't open it. She looked at him and shook her head, "we can speak once we arrive. In a place we can be much more comfortable and no all stuffed into a small space. We will be there soon enough".

Gabil nodded as he looked out the window. He let out a breath as he went back to reading. People from most of Necros thought that the times of the first age where heavily fictionalized. ' If only they knew.' he thought before feeling them stop. " I think were here." He said

" Better late than never." Avian said as he walked up to the two. It appears that those who are actually going to be participating in these talks have almost arrived." He said. He then looked at James. " Hey you mind escorting my double to a wedding?" He asked.

The sisters waited for the door to be open. Once it was they exited one by one. The eldest looked around and took her spot at the lead of their group. She adjusted her mask and waved for a servant to ask where they were supposed to go.

A servant nodded and led them towards the room. Gabil noticed the dragon like entrance of the mountain. He kept his mouth shut as he felt something. The servant opened the door to the room. " This way ladies and sir."

The sisters stride forward though the youngest walked a little slower then her two older siblings. She raised her hands and fixed her mask before properly sliding her glasses into a hidden pocket. She then quickened her pace once more and matched them.

"Why don't you go yourself?" James said. "It's much better to be with your beloved than have someone else go with her. I'm sure she feels the same." James smiled at Falaern, who smiled back. "As long as I don't have work to do back at Olympus, I'm all for it. I'm the current creative head of construction, you know. But if Captain Falaern orders me somewhere, her orders take priority."

Before Avian could say anything he noticed three women and a man walk in. He couldn't recognize any of them though the man seemed somewhat familiar. He then turned his attention back to Jack. " Problem is if I'm right about this Necros is in danger." He said. " I have no time for a wedding but house Hunt was close to my farther and Gavin Hunt was a good friend of mine until I lead him to his death during the forest invasion." He said. " The least they can have is some sort of recognition from the king."

"Hello. We were called to a meeting but that is all the information we got," Bell tucked her arms behind her back. The sleeves of her robes sliding over her hands, hiding them from veiw. The eldest of the sisters waved for her two younger sisters to move away and to find seats.

"I... suppose you're right." James said. "And what's this you're talking about about Necros being in danger again?"
"It's relating to those files I brought, isn't it?" Falaern asked.

"Which kingdom do you represent?" Avian asked. "Sorry but, I've never seen you people before. " He then looked at the two black Quill officers before walking to the table. " Since it appears that everyone is here I'll begin." He said as he looked at them. " How many of you know the events of the Tagryn conquest all those years ago?" He asked

Gabil looked at the forrester General and smiled.
Thomas smiled back as the Priest Hunter scorned the exiled forrester. They all then looked at the Ragorthian king.

"Pykon. Our sir invited us to come along," bell hummed at a respective time and moved over to sit with her sisters. Her eyes narrowed through her mask. The smile she held on her face was hidden and something sparked in her eyes at the mention tagryn.

" Guess you guys got out before the storm hit." He said before letting out a breath. "During the second age of man Jedidiah Tagryn from Pykon." He said as he gently walked around the table. " He was considered a man of honor and integredy. with in five months he took over all of Necros. Some say that he was he first Wyvern rider that allowed him to quickly take control. Boie like always did nothing about it. My house only survived by the fifth son of the Foolish king Iren." Before he could say anything Gabil spoke up.
" The Forrest suffered many casualties until the grand elders had to forfeit." He said. " And Elyon knows what happened to the others." He said.
" Hethia's first high lord's house was killed." King Valier said as he looked at them. " My ancestor bent the knee. That's the only reason why we're still around." He said. " What does this have to do with anything Avian.

Avian shot him a look making the Hethian king shut up. " They ruled for nearly three hundred years until the kingdoms rebelled. If the legends are true my ancestor killed the last Tagryn King a hundred and forty years ago. They were able to push them out of the country where they've been." He said. " Until now." He said. " I believe the tagryns are coming back and we need to stop them before they reconquer us."

"My ancestor was there when the old empire fell. None escaped. What you're saying should be impossible." Ezequiel said. "Unless... We could cross-reference with records recovered from his time. I have a collection of his old journals magically preserved. Gabriel was quite the mage, and he made sure his ancient knowledge was able to be passed on."

" Heratics." the preist muttered under his breath. " We'll do what we can to prepair for the coming storm." He said. " But I prefer not to look at these forsaken foresters." He said glancing at the black quill troops. " Or that Heretic over there." He said looking at the man that embarrassed him five years ago. The man he personally exiled.

Avian nodded at Ezequiel. " My plan is that we attack them while defending. " We'll send a fleet of ships to Nameria, while we don't know their exact location that is the probable kingdom they fled to. He looked at the group wondering if any of them would respond.

"And what about those reports that some of my family's have been getting. I've heard that entire naval fleets are being destroyed. Merchant or not," Bell straightens her back out, "and what would we do if they have already set feet onto land. It will do none of us good if we kill off one head and another strikes us down".

James and Falaern both shot the priest dirty looks, but not saying anything.
"The Blackquill can aid in the assault." Ezequiel said. "Our Griffin troops are the fastest riders on the continent, and our new Wyvern Brigades trained by General Dulvac are strong. If you will be staying here, my liege, then we will be able to work on cross-referencing and confirming whether or not these truly are the Tagryns."

" That's why we work on our defense." Avian said. " Ragroth is right before Pykon." He said as he looked at her. " And I can garuntee that Ragroth won't fall." He said. He took out a letter. " We've been attacked and we were able to push them away." He said. " One thing I did was make sure my men could fight. After this Hunt wedding is taken care of I plan on lending aid to Flovios and defending it." He said.

" We defeated the Tagryns that invaded Hethia." He said. He then looked at Avian. " Your brother led the charge." He said.
" Alright we start the invading fleet tonight." He said.

Bell and her sister nodded in sync. The eldest rested her head on a hand as she became more comfortable, "my family will be more then happy to lend support. This is our home and I'd hate to see it all go to shit".

The youngest turned as she looked around the room in a bored manner. She tapped her fingers against her arms the arm of her chair.

He nodded his head. "Thank you." He said to the sisters. He then looked at Ezequiel. " Yeah I plan on staying here and leading the charge here." He said. " Look threw your books and keep me informed." He said. As he looked around. " Alright keep me informed." He said

"Very well. Captain Falaern, I trust you to handle the war overseas." Ezequiel said. "I'm placing you in charge of the Blackquill forces of the attack. We will return to Olympus immediately for preparations."
"Yes, chairman." Falaern said, standing up straight and giving the Blackquill salute.
"Director James, you are to assist with border defense until Blackquill reinforcements arrive." Ezequiel commanded.
"Of course, sir." James said, making the Blackquill salute - without standing up, casual as he is.
"If the business concerning the Blackquill is over for now, with your permission my liege we shall depart to make adjustments and preparations." Ezequiel said, making the salute to the king.

He nodded at the Black quill leader. " Be back in a month." He said as he walked towards the exit.

Gabil nodded as he looked at the group. He lets out a breath as he leaned against the wall.

"We'll need a week." Ezequiel said confidently. James and Falaern walked over, and Ezequiel raised a crystal he was holding in his hand. Imbuing it with magical power, the Storms and Sir Sheuzor vanished in a tumultuous blast of wind.

"Us as well," the sisters stood and started towards the door. The youngest turned and waved at Gabil before her elder siblings pulled her from the room. They moved through the halls, a servant being called over so they could make sleeping arrangements.

Gabil walked passed them and found a place to sleep.

A week has passed since the dragon veil meeting.

Avian looked at Joseph Waters. A Flovian born bastard who was a member of his royal guard the group of seven people sworn to protect the king. They both had striking similirites making Avian think that there might be more to the man though he cross checked everything and realized they weren't related.
" You understand." Avian asked.
" Yes your grace." Joseph said as he looked at the man. The guard was dressed in clothes to comemberate a wedding while the King was in a simple tunic and pants.
" You'll be accompanied by ser Marius Kyle, Ser Harold Karas and a Black Quill officer." Avian said.
Joseph nodded as he got ready for the wedding
Thomas the youngest of the Rylon brothers looked at Avian. " Your not going to the wedding?" He asked. Avian simply nodded no.
" A shame." Thomas said. " I was sure Lord Hunt would like to talk with you." He said.

Joseph used the time to leave He whistled a tune as he joined the group as they started towards star fall.

Harry whistled as stayed in his cabin inside of one of the many ships headed towards Nameria

Rhys sat across from one of his trade partners. The air around them was rigid as he and the three sisters traded words, a few thinly veiled threats being traded specifically between Bell and Rhys. Octia was with her brother and was leaning against the table, hair pulled up into a messy bun as she didn't show much respect to the other women.

Gabil watched the sisters interact with these two people. He wanted to say something but decided not to. He noticed that the woman on the other side didn't much respect the sisters. He let out a breath as he kept his eyes on them.

After a few hours the group arrived at Star fall.
Joesph under the desgiuse of Avian was led to Seymore hunt. He was an older man with buck teeth and balding grey hair. Some say the man was around fifty. " Your grace." The man said smiling at him. " It's so nice to see you again." He said sounding hospitable. Joseph nodded as he walked over and smiled. " Good to see you again Lord Hunt." He said.

Avian sat on his throne looking threw papers wondering what was happening at the wedding. He hopped that his doppleganger wasn't stering up any troubles.

Harry walked threw the halls of ship until he reached the outer deck. He put his hands on the railing as he looked outwards. He looked at the sails each of them either having the Lion, The desert Eagle or the black quills sidgil. He looked up above and saw the griffon and wyvern riders. He smiled a little bit as he felt a drop of rain hit his forehead. " There's a storm coming." He thought.

"You can come sit with us if you'd like," bell giggled and turned away from the negotiations. She looked at Gabil from behind her mask and raised her head, "it must be dreadfully boring just staying there".

Octia and Rhys raised their heads to look at Gabil. The male sibling rolling his eyes before turning back to the sisters.

Gabil nodded his head as he sat down. He looked at the group. He was about to say something before one of Rhys servents came into the room. " My lord." The man said. " You've been invited to the Hunt wedding." he said.

Thomas walked up to Avian. He smiled at his older brother as they both started a conversation.

"That's today? Shit," Rhys sighed and stood up. He waved to his business partners and walked out. Octia took his place and straightened her back, "let's set a next day then come back".

"In three months we shall return to speak again," bell hummed and stood up to shake Octia's hand. The two women never shook hands though as Octia turned and walked away.

"Well that could've gone smoother." Gabil said as he watched them leave. " I take it there's bad blood between you guys." He said.

Joseph took a drink of the wine given too him. He started to sing along with the musicians. ' For the prince swoops the maiden away.' he said. ' and loves her till end.' He sang.

Kyle watched the ' king.' ' I can't belive he had me stay and watched Joseph. I know there's bad blood between the Kyles and Rylons but atleast he could pretend to show some respect to me.' He said He looked at his wine and decided not to drink. He noticed that nearly every lord was here. ' weird.' he thought.

Avian and Thomas continued to talk. Their conversation ranging from their family to the hethian invasion three years prior.

Harry stood on the deck of the ship and watched as the rain poured. He always liked the rain. He watched the Griffons and wyverns over head. " Hopefully everything goes as planned.

"We used to play as kids and our fathers were certain that Rhys and I were going to marry once older. We were engaged infact before he just called it off," Bell scoffed and raised her chin before tucking in her chair and waving for him to follow, "we both simply tolerate eachother so that we can conduct business".

"His loss." He said as he walked beside her. He took note of the room they were in before moving his hand over his black hair. " So have you ever found someone worth marrying?" he asked trying to be friendly with her.

"Not yet. You two," Bell looked back at her sisters and motioned then to move faster. Her eyes narrowing when she caught her youngest sister faulter a moment when she heard the question of Gabil, "move ahead of us. We need to speak about a few things".

Amie and Iyana nodded before walking past the two. Amie looking back over her shoulder before scurrying off with her sister.

" Relax I wasn't going to ask for your hand." Gabil said as he looked at her. " You just seem like a good person." he said. " In truth I... I wish to have Amie's hand in marriage." He said as he looked at her. "if you would allow it to happen.

Joseph stopped drinking as he heard a strange song start to play. " Death of the mermaid?" He muttered. It was the song about Knight's fall how Avian the gallant hero swooped in and destroyed house Siren.

Kyle heard the song change. Something seemed off about this whole ordeal he looked at Joseph and ser Harold Karas both nodded knowing that something was wrong.

"I know. That's why I sent them away," Bell kept a business tone to her voice as she stopped in the hall. Her body moved so that she was leaning against the wall and her arms crossed over her chest, "so the first thing I'd like to know is how you know her name. I did not tell you. Nor did my other sister".

well uh.." He said as he looked at her trying to come up with an answer. he could've sworn she told him that. " I must've over heard it somewhere." He said. " I promise I won't diverge the name to anyone." He said as he looked at her.
