Kathren gave the concerned Luxray concerned look. "Aww, it's ok," she said quietly, edging closer to the lion-like electric-type, "Come on, let's go talk to him, ok?" She scratched BlitzKriegler behind the ear as she smiled warmly at her. Aurora gave a shocked expression and turned up her nose while Candle giggled. Candle knew this was her trainer's more gentle side. The side that came out when she felt like she was in control and when Pokemon were involved.

Maker's good arrived along with Whiton's. She began to feel uncomfortable, so she called over to Michael and Jodi. "Hey guys! Come joine me please!"
Whiton didn't seem to care and began to eat.
The rest of the boogers walked over and sat down to eat also. They all sat next to Whiton, thinking it wouldn't be nice to overwhelm Maker.
Maker just glared at them as she ate her tacos.

Azumi smiled as she flipped the book. The Count cleared his throat. Azumi looked up startled. "I'm sorry I didn't notice you came in."
"I noticed and I apologise for interrupting, I didn't want you to get startled when you saw me. May I ask what you are reading?" Count Naves said in a calm but strong voice.
Azumi showed her the book. "It's the story about a man who was born immortal and stopped aging at a certain age. He thought he had a great gift, but as his love ones began to pass away, he began to become more depressed."
The count looked sad. "Yes, that is terrible."
Azumi looked confused. "Have you read it?"
Count Naves chuckled. "Why yes I have. Every book here actually. I strongly need new ones."
Azumi figured that this was her opportunity to ask her questions. "Who are you? Why are we here? And what IS here?"
Count Naves smiled. "Yes. I need to answer that." He raised his hand. "But first let us get a nice cup of tea."

The Heart of Frostfire.

Previously The failure
BlitzKriegler sighed impatiently and gave a sound of frustration, which quickly turned to somewhat pleased coos as she was scratched behind the ear, her strange purple eyes(which were typical of most subjects who underwent willing cybernetic enhancement, in the Luxray's case, a mental enhancing microchip) glimmering like gemstones in the light of the castle. "O-of course! Thank you, I dearly appreciate the help!" She smiled, seemingly feeling better as the Human was willing to assist her. The Luxray walked towards the entrance, towards the area where the two trainers were having their special time. They were unfortunately being guarded both by Vypyskha's Haxorus, Raze, who was merely following the will of his trainer, as well as Adolphian's Gardevoir, Lady.

Kathren followed BlitzKriegler. When she saw the two trainers outside she shuddered. Both Aurora and Cande came up behind their trainer. "This is going to be more difficult than I thought," Kathren muttered as she took a step forward to greet the two. "Hey! Doctor... umm, sorry, I'm bad with names that I have only heard once or twice and I haven't said myself. Anyway, your Luxray wants to be with you right now. I think she feels lonely and wants your affection since she works really hard for you. Maybe give her some reassurance," Kathren said, clearly uncomfortable. Aurora looked at Raze with a sadistic smile on her face and started to growl at the Dragon-type. Kathren gave the Alolan Ninetails a warning glare, which stopped the growling, but the Ninetails still wanted to show the Haxorus who was the better Pokemon.

Michael and Jodi nodded at Maker's request and sat on either side of her. They looked at her with a worried glance, then turned towards the Boogers. Michael cleared his throat and looked directly into Whiton's eyes. "Now, I have to say, I don't know what is with you tonight, but I won't let your weird behaviour ruin Maker's night." He looked at the other Boogers with a serious expression and asked. "So, how did you all meet?" Jodi gave him a bewildered look, but Michael didn't shift his gaze. He was trying to make small talk, wanting to cover whatever Whiton had in mind. "I bet he has taken a liking to Maker. There is no other explanation!" He began thinking. "...I think this place has made me change my vocabulary! Curse this elegant ballroom!"

Maker sighed in relief as Michael and Jodi joined her. "Now I can really eat tacos." She covered her plate so Michael couldn't see them and offered some to Jodi.

Whiton shrugged. "I'm not trying to ruin it. The opposite actually. I feel pretty bad about the whole fingers thing, so I'm trying to make up for it."
Bob laughed at his question. "We are all brothers Michael. We are all from the same person."
Blacton nodded in agreement. "Yup. Since day 1 we have been together. Four more and we could make a baseball team." He chuckled.

Michael examined the five men. He supposed they look similar. He sighed and eyed them suspiciously. "Now, tell me this. Why a re you psychos?" He asked with a serious tone. As she got a bite from the taco, Jodi's eyes went wide at Michael question.
"MICHAEL!" She yelled at him with her mouth full. Michael rolled his eyes and spoke.
"Oh please! They really are psy-- What are you eating?" He squinted his eyes at her mouth, but she quickly covered it.
"T-That's not important!" Jodi blurted out.
"You don't have a right to judge me until you stop eating meat!" He sighed and looked back at the Boogers. "I'll soften the question. Why are you all in a crazy organization? Why are you all so similar? And why, in the name of Shiny Furret, are you always laughing hysterically?"

The boogers looked at each other, as if trying to decide who would answer. Bob cleared his throat fixed his collar. "I guess someone had to answer that sooner or later." He let out a loud sigh and drank some water. "How many of us do you see?"

Maker swallowed her food quickly to answer, she liked answering questions. "Four!" She said proudly.

Bob nodded in agreement. "Correct. If you count Redton, we are five. But in reality we are ten." He raised his hand, as to stop anyone from interrupting. "Physically we are five. Mentally... We are ten. We have a split personality disorder. The ones who tortured you are one and the other ones are us."

The Count sipped his tea as he got ready to speak. While Azumi listened attentively. He cleared his throat and began. "I am Count Naves here, but my former name was Benjamin Imallin."
Azumi looked confused. "Why change it?"
Count Naves sighed. "Naves was or IS my username."
Azumi didn't respond.
"I used to work for a friend of yours, many years ago, Dr. Adolph. We were working on a virtual reality."
Azumi's eyes widen. She knew where this was going.
Count Naves noticed and smiled. "Yes. You are inside THAT virtual reality. That's why some things are unreal and some aren't. I have some control over this world and that is how I was able to save you all from the walls."
Azumi looked at the floor, as if looking for an answer. "But why?"
"Why you were sent here?" The count said. "I don't know. Why they tried to kill you? I don't know either. Only Dr. Adolph was access to this place, but I was trapped here years ago and I never saw him try to save me. Now, I am surprised to see him trapped inside also."
"Wait." Azumi interrupted. "We are trapped here?"
Count Naves nodded. "I haven't found a way out. Otherwise I would've left. It's been so long. My skin got pale and I stopped caring for my hair. No natural sun does that too you, even if you have an artificial one."

"See, that's not normal." Michael said, a little weirded out by Bob's rather unusual explanation.
"But couldn't you go to a doctor or something?" Jodi asked the Boogers with a curious tone. "I mean, wouldn't your caretakers want you to be happy?... if you had any..." She whispered that last part, trying not to offend their 'normal' selfs.

Booger shrugged. "None of us recall having someone care for us. We woke up one day in an institution. We figured that is when we were born." He chuckled. "Imagine waking up one day and you're twelve, no idea of your past." He drank more water. "Then you see your body moving, saying stuff that you don't control and a voice laughing and arguing with you. Next it's a daily struggle of who is in control..." He lowered his eyesight as if ashamed. "Then you begin to lose more often and do things you aren't proud of."
Blacton interrupted. "But, we have full control here. Except Redton, he lost it."

Azumi thought about what the count said. "Maybe Adolph can help us find a way out..."
The count smiled. "He isn't the same. He went from a wonderful and kind scientist to a cold evil genius."

He finally entered the dining hall, grumbling as he held the door open for Waffle, who had a bottle in her mouth. He sat down at the far... far end of the table as he rummaged through his bag. He pulled out a small container and popped it open, putting it on the ground. It was full of Pokemon food for you-know-who. When Waffle went to see what was in the container, she once again puffed up her cheeks and groaned. Gaeboo, on the other hand, just looked flat out pissed.

"You are this close to being put into the ball for a while again, so stop your whining and actually obey for once. I ask for very little from you, and then you do this. You're embarrassing me in public, so just eat your food!"

Not liking Gaeboo's tone of voice, Waffle gave him the stink eye and zapped him a bit. She flew off again, going to the other people at the table, and rested her chin on the table.

Maker finished her meal. "That hit the spot!" She smiled. "Well boogers, your story is sad but I am not going to cry over someone who broke my fingers for a game." She got up. "I do however, feel like dancing." She looked around. "Come on guys, I need a partner!"

Azumi walked out of the library, she had gotten much information that she felt she needed to share. Also, she needed to find Adolph and see if the story the count said is true. She made her way downstairs, where she saw her sister asking people to dance. She made her way to the outside, where Kathern was dealing with a Luxray and Adolph with the female doctor. Azumi walked up to them, keeping her distance from the guarding Pokemon. "Excuse me Dr. Adolph, I need to speak to you."

Whiton looked around. This might be his opportunity to dance with Maker, if nobody volunteers.

"I would love to dance!" Michael said as he got up from the table. "... but I don't think my style of dancing will be compatibile with yours. Plus, I'm tired. Maybe someone else should dance with you." He walked over to the Boogers' side of the table and ruffled Whiton's hair. "Just sayin'." He walked back to his seat and stretched. Jodi quietly shook her head and continued eating.

Renz had finished his granola bar, and began digging through his bag to find his book. This was the book he had carried with him since he began his journey. The Gym Leader guidebook. He found it quickly and sat down somewhere out of the way and began reading. He practically knew the book by heart, but he still reviewed it whenever he had a chance. He had bookmarks throughout the book, which were covered in notes written by him. He let Ty out and began stroking him as he read.

Maker looked disappointed. "I was rejected by Michael." She said sadly. "Fine I will ask a butler." She began walking over to one, when one of the nurses announced. "Master Eli is awake in the Medical room."
Maker clapped out of joy. "Great! He must be feeling better! I'm going to check on him." She ran to the medical room and walked in. She saw Eli in there. "Eli Deli! How are you feeling? Wanna dance?"

Whiton gave Michael an annoyed look. "You are no help with this at all kid." He drank from a glass of water. "I wonder when Redton will wake up."

Michael gave Whiton a smug look. "In fact, I am a big help. But alas, Maker wouldn't actually want to dance with a psychopath... Maybe she would." He sighed and got up from the table. "This is boring." He walked back to the walls, ruffling Whiton's hair on the way. He leaned againts one and looked around the ballroom. Jodi sighed and got up too, since she finished her meal. She walked into the medical room. She gave Maker an annoyed look and asked. "Is that how you greet someone who just woke up from some sort of coma?" She gave Eli an apologetic look and spoke. "We're in some sort of ballroom made by this guy, Count Naves."

Renz looked up when he heard the maid’s announcement. He considered for a moment or two before following Jodi, returning Ty on the way. He peeked into the room, not entering yet.

“Hey. You okay?”

Eli slowly nodded, before he caught something out of the corner of his eyes, he looked down to discover a dark red suite with a white shirt and a black tie, and a fedora of the same shade of red. staring at it confused he looked back at them, he walked over to them slowly "So what all happened while I was out?"

“Ummm... all I know is that I fell asleep in the closing wall area and then woke up with the rest of the group in the garden outside of here. In fancy clothes. And actually, I don’t feel as tired as I want to... an hour ago, before I actually fell asleep, I felt like I could sleep for days. Z-Moves drain energy, you know. Anyway... glad you are okay. Even if you did slap me.

He mumbled the last part inaudibly. He still felt it was unnecessary. Anyway, he would try to let bygones be bygones. Or let Bygones be Bagons. He lost himself in internal PokéPunning.

Maker smiled to Eli's response. "Well than we should get you fed and then we dance. I don't want you passing out on me. Come on!" She placed her right arm around his. "You have to escort the ladies like this in a fancy place like this." She dragged him out of the medical room, waving good bye at the faceless doctor as they passed by. She took Eli down to the dinner first and sat him down. "Now what do you want eat? They have tons of stuff." She excitedly.

Renz shrugged and walked back to the ballroom. He stood for a moment, debating whether to stay inside or go out. He decided on the later and exited the ballroom, walking into the garden and sitting down outside the door. He didn’t pay attention to anything happening farther in the garden. He was deep in thought. He knew he should be tired, and he wanted to be tired, but he wasn’t. He almost decided to get out his blanket and try to sleep, but decided against it.

He laid back, looking upwards. He didn’t notice it at first, but the sky seemed... different. He saw many constellations he recognized... and that is all he saw. The stars seemed to be only constellations. No other star patterns, just constellations...

Gaeboo had given in at this point, and returned Waffle to her ball for her stubbornness. He got up from his end of the table and proceeded to head to the library for some quiet. Upon reaching it, he sat down and took out all of his notebooks, all filled to the brim with notes, which were held in a separate shoulder bag. He made several large stacks with them, each one at least three feet high. He began sorting through them page by page, one by one as to see which ones were no longer useful.

"Hmm... I would dump the Gym notebooks, but I eventually want to rematch them again. Basics of Air Battles, that's important, it's the basics... I would say that I want to keep them all, but I know some of them must have something unimportant..."

His eyes darted back and forth as he quickly scanned every page. He carefully placed one book into another larger shoulder bag, presumably for the ones he 'doesn't need anymore'.

Jodi rolled her eyes at Maker and exited the medical room, entering the ballroom once again. She went where Michael now was and leaned againts the wall next to him. Michael smiled at Jodi and cleared his throat. "So, did is all pretty weird, huh." He said, looking around. "I can't believe someone would do this for us."
"I mean, I thought this was a trap at first. Actually, I still think it is." Jodi spoke with an uncertain look in her eyes. "But I still think this is nice. You know, just relaxing, without having to worry for our lives every two seconds." She chuckled and looked at all of her friends.

The Heart of Frostfire.

Previously The failure
As Blitz and Kathrin arrived at Adolphian's location and attempt to speak to Adolph, being joined by Azumi, the two lovers did not respond, continuing to cuddle each-other without a care for the world. However, as the Alolan Ninetales growled at Raze and showed aggression, the Haxorus growled softly, looking quite uneasy. ~"I wish you no harm, ice fox. I merely wish to protect my master, and her hypnotized lover. As long as you do not wish them ill will, I have no quarrel with you."~ He replied in Poké-speak, the dragon attempting to avoid being attacked by the creature with a dual type advantage against his. Meanwhile, as Blitz noticed that Adolph and Vypyskha did not even notice those who wanted to speak with him, she gave an evil grin, and to both get revenge on Adolph for abandoning him for Vypyskha and to get their attention, she let loose a discharge of electricity at them, which made them quickly fall to the ground in shock(pun not intended). Adolph quickly got to his feet, and while his Gardevoir tried to restrain him, he started shouting loudly, clearly pissed off, while Vypyskha stayed silent, shaking with rage. "What have you done that for, you fucking bitch! Piss off, I have no idea what was happening, after I blacked out, but that gives you no right to shock me!" Blitz' ears lower as she backed away slowly, as Adolph tried to smack her off the jaw with a fist, the others of his group simply standing still in shock as Adolph had never shown violent intent to anyone prior to this, especially not a Pokémon, and even more especially not his Pokémon. At this point, he did not even notice Azumi or Kathrin as they tried to help him, as he continuously tried to beat his Luxray, who proved to be to fast for him as she kept dodging his punches as she backed away from him.

Michael and Jodi were chatting about life and death situations and deadly booby traps, the usual at this point, when they heard someone yelling and swearing like a crazy person. They gave each other knowing looks and headed outside, where they saw Adolph making a scene. Their eyes flickered between the now crazy scientist and his Luxray, who was dodging his attacks. Michael sighed with an unimpressed expression and spoke. "It's official, this guy has finally lost his marbles. Can't say I'm surprised." He shook his head and continued to watch whatever was happening. Jodi gulped with a concerned look and managed to speak.
"Um, this seems a little unnecessary..."

Renz was startled out of his scutiny of the sky by the sounds of shouting and cursing. He covered his ears to block out the cursing and peered in the direction they came from. Adolphian seemed to be trying to attack his Luxray, and the new woman, Azumi and Kathren were over there as well. He wanted to ask what was going on, but he also didn’t want to uncover his ears in case of more cursing. He also didn’t want to see the electric type hurt, so he decided to risk going over. He was about to when Michael and Jodi appeared in the doorway. He knew he must look pretty crazy with his fingers in his ears, but asked his question anyway.

“What is going on?”

The Heart of Frostfire.

Previously The failure
As Renz came out to check on what was going on, Raze quickly decided enough was enough and returned to his ball, and the same was for Lady, who returned to her own ball. Vypyskha still stood where she was, shocked out of action, watching as Adolphian tried to hurt Blitz, which he thankfully failed to. "Help! He is trying to kill me, and all I did was electrocute him horribly!" The Luxray shouted, continuing to dodge Adolph, who became a bit more sporadic and unpredictable. "You little bitch, you 'electrocution' nearly killed me! Do you forget that my outfit is heavily armoured? It's a liability with electricity, you asshole!" Adolph replied, his eyes glowing red and bloodshot.

Renz grumbled as he took his fingers out of his ears and put his hand to one of his Pokéballs. Garchomp appeared near the dodging Blitz. He looked back to Renz, and guessed his trainer’s intention. He turned back to Blitz, saying in Pokémon Language,

“Need a lift?”

Azumi wouldn't stand for the doctor's actions. She walked up to him and with a quick jab punched him in the nose. She stood in front of him and took a fighting stand. "You have some nerve treating your Pokemon like that. Throw another punch, I dare you." She was confused as she was a big fan of his researched, but hated the man he was at the moment.

Maker noticed everyone going outside. She looked at Eli. "Do you want to go check?"

The boogers decided not to mettle with the trainers and continued to eat.

The Heart of Frostfire.

Previously The failure
As the Garchomp appeared, Adolph grinned sadistically, and prepares to send out his Gardevoir, to make her deal with the threat so he can finally get a blow in on Blitz, but, as his Luxray accepted their help, he growled in anger, as he understood their words. He puts his hand on his belt, but is stopped when Azumi smacked him in the nose, his glowing red eyes quickly fading back to a normal colour of purple. "Owowowow! What was that for! Wait... When did you guys get here? Last time I checked, I was helping dry off Lady after she was attacked by Vypyskha's Vaporeon, Hydrogen, in playfulness, and now my nose hurts... What's going on?! And where is Vypyskha?" He asks quizzically, sounding like his normal self, and not insane at all. Indeed, what is going on?

Meanwhile, Vypyskha was simply wandering the gardens, as Adolph's temporary insanity made her leave, terrified that he would hurt her as his hypnotic rage took control of his body. She looked around her in awe and sighed happily,

"B-but you were, ulug!" she shivered at the last part. "Then you attacked your beautiful Luxray! Why shouldn't we be angry! If I wasn't so shocked by your actions, I would have done the same thing!" she shouted at the doctor, all trust disappearing at that moment. Her dark blue eyes narrowed as she remained silent. She didn't speak to those who hurt their own Pokemon.

Azumi lowered her fist and sighed. She turned to the other trainers. "Could you all give me a second? I need to speak to the doctor." She turned her attention to Adolph, she crossed her arms, clearly upset. "Well Dr. Adolph, you certainly showed us you bad side and if it shows up again, I will punch you back to your senses." She sighed as she express herself. "I have to admit, I lost a lot of my respect for you." She fixed her hair behind her ears. "Now, I need to ask you something, a few things actually. Do you know Benjamin Imallin? He says he made this virtual world with you. He is now using his username, Naves. I need to know if you remember ANY of this, because that might be our way out."

Maker watched Eli as he stood there. "I don't feel like getting in their business. Are you done? Are you going to order more? I've been wanting to dance for a while." She tapped her fingers on the table impatiently.
Whiton chuckled. "If you want to dance THAT badly, I can dance with you." He looked at Eli. "You wouldn't mind that, would you Eli?" He smiled.

Maker smiled brightly. "Yes finally!" She got up and grabbed Eli by the hand. She pulled him to the dance floor. "What do you know how to dance? I'm pretty good at everything, but I'm better at Salsa than anything else."
A faceless butler approached them. "What music do you wish?"
Maker looked at Eli. "Whatever he can dance, Jerry." Maker whispered to Eli. "I named this one Jerry.

Maker smiled at Eli's answer. "You heard him Jerry! Get some salsa on!" She laughed. "I ate tacos and we are going to dance Salsa, isn't that funny?" She put her hands in front of her, for Eli to take. "Well you lead Mr. I can dance em all."

The trainers had not noticed yet, but dark clouds were forming above the big ballroom. Even Count Naves, who was watching the scene with Adolph from the balcony, was also unaware. Only someone who would look for stars could notice such things forming in the sky.
