Maker went up to the taco stand. "I want two orders for me and whatever the scientist are having is on me!" She said proudly. She pointed at a table with a couple of chairs. "Let's go sit there everyone!" She told Adolph and company.
She walked over, sat her big Charmander plush on a chair and sat next to it.

Maker laughed. "We don't need a tent!" She took out her black credit card. "This little fella will get us a room at any hotel, so don't you worry about it, we can look for one after the festival. But, the battle sounds, although I think I need to go buy new clothes. I thought you were going to ask me to hang out or something. Unless Azumi has any plans, we are all stuck here until further notice."

Adolph and his group quickly snapped back to reality after they seemed to zone out for a while, perhaps something to do with Adolph's muttering chanting towards the legendary gods. He lifted his head up, and began to discuss with his group about food options, and finally turned towards the stand. "I would like six soft original tacos, two for each of us. All toppings but onion and hot pepper. Thank you." He said simply. He then turned towards Maker, and fiddled with a homamade recreation of the crest of the Tao Trio as a necklace, which was hidden previously under his coat. It seems that while he was travelling through the multiverse, he picked up a mild obsession with befriending legendaries, a dream the poor guy would never have come true, no matter how hard he tries.

Kathren looked for Eli or Whiton. She wanted to apologize to the two of them. Her outburst was uncalled for, and quite frankly, she honestly felt awful about the shouting thing. They were only trying to help, and then she yelled at them. Though, she had to admit Whiton should have asked her about her rules for feeding her Pokemon. She did not really like them having sweets. Especially Derp Lord.

"If my Pokemon are up for it?" Maker laughed out loud. "We are always up for a battle!" She took a bite out of a taco, not sure where she go it from. "I'll kick your but in a battle and then we go clothes shopping!"

The lights went out. Dead silence.

Maker grabbed Eli's hand while her got adjusted to the dark. "Don't let go! I'm not losing you again!"

Renz had been following Kathren as she searched. He didn’t know what she was looking for now that they had found Derp Lord, but he could tell she was looking for something. He was startled as the lights suddenly went out and sounds were quenched. He reached forward with one hand towards where he had last seen Kathren, fumbling at his belt with the other hand. He would normally have released Ty for some light, but as far as he knew there was still a large crowd around that could be hurt by the appearance of a large fire type. After a moment, he realized it was too quiet. Sure, people might go quiet just after a blackout, but you would think that they would start babbling and shrieking afterwards. And there should at least be some light from stars or moon... but perhaps his eyes just hadn’t adjusted yet. Maybe this was part of the performance, some dramatic entrance onstage.... but his instincts told him otherwise.

The big screen on the stage went on. Four big letters, "SSMR", appeared.

"Ladies and Gentlemen do not panic. Everything will be okay. This lovely lake now belongs to the SSMR. Just as the rest if Sinnoh. Our troops have taken Twinleaf and they are here to escort you back to your lovely house. Airports are closed down, so please avoid trying to escape the Region. It's useless. We will update you more, tomorrow morning. Thank you all for your attention."

The latest came back on, but no music. People looked around scared and confused.
Maker got up. She looked panicked. "My Pokegear, there's no signal. I have to find my sister." She told Eli and Adolph and ran into the now panicking crowd.

"Renz, stay close," Kathren said as she looked at the screen. She was scared, no terrified. If this SSMR took over Sinnoh, who says that they would stop there? Who says that they won't take over Johto, a region close to Sinnoh. She shook in fear of her home and family. Please Arcues! Don't have them go to Johto! For the love of everything good in this world, stop them now! she thought.

Renz didn’t intend to move. He was too concerned. Had this ‘SSMR’ really taken over the entire region? How was that even possible, with Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and Champion all around to protect the cities? How?

He was beginning to feel scared as well. Garchomp was still nearby, and he could tell Renz was very upset. He put one claw on the trainer’s shoulder. Renz didn’t seem to notice. He was a swirl of emotions, predominantly fear at the moment, but there were the begginings of anger stirring as well. He stepped up next to Kathren and put a hand on her shoulder.

“Hey... you good?”

He wanted to do something, but he knew he was powerless. He knew now, after the incident with Maker’s fingers, that in situations like this he couldn’t do anything alone... and he hated it. He absolutely hated it. The hand on Kathren’s shoulder was shaking slightly.

He pulled her into a gentle hug. He tried to sound confident, and keep his voice from shaking.

“It’s okay. We’ll make sure they stay safe. I promise. And... I don’t know. I don’t think it really could have happened, with all the Gym leaders and other people guarding each city...”

This was a difficult time for Renz. He always looked up to Gym Leaders as some of the most powerful and skilled trainers out there, aside from Elite Four and Champion. If they had failed, who could succeed?

Maker rushed through the crowd and finally got through to the other side. She saw Kathern and Renz.
"Hey! You two okay? Have you seen my sister?" She sounded worried.
She looked around despertly. "My Pokegear has no signal and I can't find her! Not even Nana! And you know Nana finds people she likes right away, I'm one of them!" She then noticed a group of guys looking and pointing at her.

"You're team magma! You must be behind this!" A tall man with long hair said.

"You idiot! SSMR! They just announced themselves! This is my Halloween costume!" Maker replied. She was in a sensitive state and anything could cause her tempure to explode.

Another man, with a green jacket pointed at Maker also. "How do we know team magma isnt working with same?!"

The third man, shorter then the other two, stepped up also. "Yeah! Take that uniform off if you ain't with them!"

Maker began to get more upset. "I'm not wearing anything under this!!! I'm not taking it off!"

A loud voice sounded over the crowd.
"If anyone has seen Byron or Ray Montag and his girlfriend Azumi Towers, turn them in or you will be treated as traitors and executed."

When Azumi's picture came up on the screen next to Ray's, the three men pointed at Maker again. "Hey that's her! She dyed her hair and has a team magma customer!"

"Dammit!" Maker cries out and took of running into the woods, the three man running after her with Pokeballs in their hands.

Maker was a great battler, but near the forest she couldn't recklessly use her fire Pokemon.

Kathren accepted the hug and nodded, misty eyed. "Thanks Renz," she said as she closed her eyes and hugged tighter. She did not want to let go, but she knew that she had to. Right now she needed the comfort though, and she was glad that she had an amazing friend like Renz. However, when she saw that Maker was in trouble, she snapped out of whatever she was feeling and pushed Renz away gently. "Come on, we have to help her." She returned Derp Lord and ran after the fire-type trainer.

Renz only hesitated for a moment before following Kathren. His first thought, and one he regretted, was that they should stay out of it so they didn’t get on the wanted list either. He angrily shoved this down, glared at the men who had set the ‘grunts’ on Maker’s trail and bolted after Kathren, easily catching up because of his longer legs. Garchomp was following silently, for some reason not giving his usual battle cry. Renz couldn’t command Garchomp to attack yet, there were to many innocent people nearby.

Maker looked back and nodded at Eli. She ran as fast as she could until she stepped out into a clearing. Big lighte came on and pointed at her.
"Return to town, I repeat... Wait a minute, its one if the ones we are looking for!"

Maker's eyes adjusted to the lights. There was a large group of uniformed men with SSMR on their chest. "Oh no." Maker said as she looked at the small army of men in front of her. She looked back, the others were probably coming after her. "Okay! I give up! You caught me, I'm all alone! Can't beat you all." She hoped the others would not try and get involved.

Renz was running too fast to stop himself in time, and though he tried to slow down he was already in the clearing. Garchomp was right behind him, and the two of them looked cautiously at the group of uniformed men. He was pretty sure he couldn't trick them into thinking he wasn't trying to help Maker, and there were probably too many of them to fight; and even if they somehow managed to hold off these men, more would be sent in to finish the job, he was sure. He stayed still, formulating a few different plans but not daring to launch one yet.

Kathren made her feet heavy as she took each new step, effectively slowing her down. She knew she was going to regret using that method later, but her sprint quickly shifted into a run, then jog, a walk, and finally, she stopped. She saw Renz go past her, into the clearing and got worried for him. She sighed and strode out into the clearing as well, trying to make some sort of excuse. "Hey!" she waved at Renz. "They got it now, we can go back." She attempted to grab Renz's wrist and looked at the people in the uniforms. "Sorry, we were trying to catch her, we'll go now." She gave them a smile to help convince them of her lie.

Maker looked over her shoulder and smiled at Kathern. "Stupid people! Why can't you mind your own business?" She yelled at them, hoping they would catch her drift.

The SSMR looked confused, but convinced. One of them stepped up. "Okay! Thank you citizens! Step away now, we got it!"

Maker felt a little relieved that they had fell for it, she knew what it was like to be taken by these guys and didn't want anyone else to suffer the consequences. She took a deep breath, but kept her hands in the air.

Whiton walked up through the forest, but he didn't go into the clearing. He just watched the situation with a serious expression on his face.

Renz hesitated for a moment. He really didn't like leaving Maker there, it went against his morals. However, he felt the pressure of Kathren's hand on his wrist, and understood Maker's signal, so he reluctantly played along. 'Yeah, I guess they got it taken care of... c'mon, let's go. Let's walk though, I need to catch my breath." He turned and slipped his wrist from Kathren's grasp slightly so he could hold her hand instead of having her drag him by the wrist. He was surprised the grunts had seemed to believe Kathren's story. And he also felt that if these people were connected to the boogers' employers, that they might have recognized one of the trainers, or at least his Garchomp. Even in Sinnoh, Garchomp was not particularly common. Maybe they had just been very lucky.... but the farther they walked from the clearing, the worse Renz felt about leaving Maker there. He tried to justify himself; he thought about the overwhelming numbers of the enemy. He thought of how they could go back and rescue Maker once they had regrouped and formed a plan. Yes, of course, that was it. They would find another way to rescue her, once they had had more time to think out a plan. He returned Garchomp to his Pokeball, as if he had let the Pokemon out only to help with the pursuit and was returning him now that it was over.

Once they were a safe distance away from the clearing, Renz glanced at Kathren. He was still feeling a bit uncomfortable with himself, and to be honest, he was still scared. He squeezed her hand slightly. "So... what do we do now? Should we try and find the others? Or head back to G's house, or the Pokemon Center?" He sighed once he had asked his questions. He was feeling a bit helpless, and he hated it.

Maker waited for everyone to be back in the woods. She took a deep breath and faced the grunts. An angry look came over her face. "I was having a good time with my friends..." She clenched her fists and looked down, tension building around her.

The grunts looked at each other, some worried and some confused. Their Pokemon began to take steps back. The grunts looked even more confused now as a warm breeze blew by them.

"KAEL!" Maker screamed at the top of her lungs. The powerful Volcarona emerged from it's Pokeball on it's own. It floated above maker, it's mere presence began burning the grass around them.

"Attack!" A grunt told his Mightyena, but the Pokemon refused.

"Burn them!" Maker yelled, lifted her face and looking at her enemy. There was fire in her eyes and at the same time so much anger.

Kael flapped it's beautiful wings and a strong hot wind was felt around the area. The Volcarona flapped it's wings a second time, this time harder. A big heat wave swept the area in front of them, burning every plant in the way, leaving nothing but ashes. The grunts screamed and dropped to the floor, rolling, trying to take the heat of. Many began to run away, while others tried to convince their Pokemon to attack, but the heat wave was to strong for them to try it. Then the heat stopped, Kael was back in his Pokeball.

Maker took a deep breath, sniffing the burnt smell in the air, and calmed down. The grunts on the floor looked up, frightened, while one began requesting back up through a radio, although he kept burning his hand. Maker turned around and ran back to the forest. "Let's go!" She called out to her friends, with a big smile on her face.

Darkness. Total silence.

That's what was sorrounding Michael and Jodi at the moment. "What is this?" Michael complained. "Blaziken, come out!" He threw the PokéBall into the air and his fighting chicken appeared beside him, who ignited her fists, giving Michael the ability ti see again. "What is happening, why have all the lights gone out?" He looked at Jodi, who had taken out her Glaceon. "Beats me, but there's something sketchy going on her." Then suddenly, the big flashed with the letters 'SSMR' on it and a voice could be heard.
Ladies and Gentlemen do not panic. Thank you all for your attention.
Then the lights came back on. "W-What?!" Michael said, panicked. "Oh my Arceus, this is not good. Nana, come he--" He stopped. His body began shaking. "J-Jodi, where's Nana?" But before she could respond, the voice came back.
If anyone has seen Byron or Ray Montag and his girlfriend Azumi Towers, turn them in or you will be treated as traitors and executed.
A picture of Azumi and Ray appeared on the big screen. Jodi and Michael looked at it in horror. "Azumi and Ray are hunted!" Michael said, taking a step back. Jodi clutched his hand. "Wait... If Azumi is being hunted, then Maker is in danger too!" They looked at each other.
"Nana might've gone to Azumi..." Michael said.
"But she's with Ray, so they'll be able to defend themselves." Jodi tried to reassure him. "Which means..."
"We've got to go help Maker."

They ran through the crowd, desperately trying to find their slightly annoying but sweet red-headed friend. "I don't see her!" Jodi informed Michael.
"We've searched the entire crowd. So she might be in..." He saw something strange up ahead. The trees looked like they were... burning.
"The forest." They ran faster, escaping the sea of partygoers. They prepared their Pokémon and waited for Maker to come back...

Renz sighed again, and looked up to the sky, although there were only glimpses through the canopy of trees. He was about to say something when he felt a bit of hot wind on the back of his head, and turning his head he thought he caught a bit of a glow. He could tell something was happening, but he didn't know if it was going well or not for Maker. He wanted to go back and help...

"Do you see that? It looks like Maker is putting up a fight.... maybe we should sneak back and watch, and help out of we can...?"

Renz nodded. "Of course. I just think we need to know what's going on... if they bring her somewhere then we need to know where if we're going to break her out..." He glanced back again. The light had begun to die down, now. "C'mon, let's go... quiet..." he began moving back towards the clearing, trying to make as little noise as possible. This level of stealth probably wasn't necessary yet, since they were still a good ways away from the clearing, but he didn't want to take any chances.

Maker rushed back through the forest, she had only seen Eli following her, so she got work about the others. She stopped and looked back. No sign of grunts coming after her yet, she waited for Eli. "Come on Eli Deli, can one of your Pokemon find Renz and Kathern? I'll go look for Michael and Jodi back at the festival area. Meet me at G's house in an hour okay?"
She hugged Eli. "Please be careful, we can't lose anymore." She gave him a kiss on the head. "That's for your other you, he IS part of the group now." She took of running towards the lake.

Once there she looked despertly around, until she saw a familiar looking Blaziken. She ran over to it and spotted Michael first. "Michael!" She cried out as she hugged him. "I can't believe I almost lost my future hubby! Or roomate or personal chef. You get to choose." She smiled playfully.

Eli smiled "I'm touched" Halt said a slight small bit sarcastically. Eli then nodded and made hand gestures to his pokemon, the pokemon he had out running out in separate directions, he wiped out some red powder and left a trail of it behind him as he himself looked, the trail barely noticeable in the fallen leaves.

Michael smiled widely as Maker came running out of the forest, but his smile faltered as she hugged him and called the boy inappropriate things. "Wait, hubby?" He was about to put her in her place, but Jodi hugged Maker. She quickly key go and began asking her questions.
"Maker, are you okay? Where are the others? Do you know where Azumi, Ray and Nana are? What do we do now? How can we turn things around.
