• A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Do NOT ask if you can join an RP on the RP thread itself! This leads to a lot of unnecessary OOC chatter and that's not what the RP boards are for.

This is clearly stated in our RP forum rules. If you've not read them yet, do so BEFORE posting anything in the RP forums. They may be found here (for Pokémon Role Play) or here (for General Role Play). Remember that the Global Rules of Pokécharms also apply in addition to these rule sets.
  • Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.

As the wolf got off of him, Free immediately rolled backwards onto his feet, only to be greeted by the sight of another breath attack. He swung his arm upwards, throwing out an explosion as a barrier. The attack was strong, though, and a wave of stinging cold washed over Free as small ice crystals appeared across his body. The explosive caster send his crackling energy throughout his body to warm him up, and started to swing his kunai and chain over his head. "Why are animals always so unwilling to go to the vet? This surgery is gonna fix your breathing problem!" As the blade of his weapon swung behind him, he adjusted the angle to arc the kunai in front of him, which he kicked at the beast as he let the chain slip through his grip.

Serias broke into the clearing, laying eyes on Free, Kiri, and, more importantly, the wolf-like creature they fought. She immediately directed her two blackbirds to swoop down on the wolf in an attempt to obscure its version with tar-like darkness.

While her shadow-constructs distracted the wolf, she issued orders. "Back to camp, double time! If this thing has a pack, we don't want to provoke them."

Serias was familiar with the price for rashness and overconfidence in the wild, it often wasn't pretty. She wasn't going to risk her bandmates taking on a wolf pack with however many members.

The blade of cold steel soared through the air, chain trailing behind it. The wolf dodged to the side just barely, the kunai cutting off the tip of one of its ice spikes.
The kunai found itself embedded in a tree behind, but with a good yank he was able to tear the weapon out, and creating a small spray of splinters. He caught the knife coming back to him, readying himself in a combat stance when the boss came around.
"Aw, phooey." He kicked the snow into the air as he relaxed his stance. "The gig is up, Kiri, I guess we can't play with the puppy anymore." He held the warm blanket back over him as he trudged through the snow back to camp grumpily.

Wolf suddenly found himself in dome of darkness that Serias created and as it looked around in confusion a sudden howl could be heard from the inside. The beast wanted to be free and aimed to kill them. The howl sounded in Entire forest and suddenly ice on the fur made an icicles, that suddenly shot from the body, aiming to harm anyone in a range.

Tamo turned his head as he heard the howl, praying for everyone to be alright.

Kiri panicked seeing the breath attack, sighing in relief as Free was able to block it.
"Free, those taunts aren't helping!" She finally said, before turning to go around him to attack the wolf...

Before she was interrupted by the appearance of Serias breaking into the clearing.
"Y-yes, Leader!" She saluted as she turned to move back to camp, not bothered by what Free said. If anything, she was glad they weren't to deal with it... Until she heard the howl. Her eyes widened as she heard something approaching through the air. "Get down!" She quickly said, using her arm to pull Free to the ground with her, barely dodging the icicles in time. With a grunt, she got to her feet, having managed to fall on her ankle. "C'mon!" She said as she began running back, not wanting to risk getting hit by something like that. She hoped Serias wasn't hit, but she didn't dare to look back.

While Kiri and Free retreated, Series stayed behind; her blades at the ready. Dog-type mana-beasts had excellent senses and it wouldn't be hard for the wolf to track them down by scent after they'd left. If the group was to make a clean escape then she couldn't risk this mana beast catching up to them. Although it was dangerous, the situation demanded that she stay behind to delay their escape. She knew that Tomo would get the rest of the troupe to the village where she would rendezvous with them.

"It's just me and you big guy," she taunted. "show me what you've got."
