That first one cracks me up ^^
For the second one, I don't know about kukuku, but "kekeke" is the japanese alternative to "hahaha"... You can find in quite a few mangas... and in Mystery Dungeon actually, if I'm correct (Gengar).

Alright, my favorite lines ever:

Pokémon the movie 3; James, upon seeing the unown:
"I haven't seen this many strange letters since the last time I placed a personal ad" ^^

or this one from Brock:

I like it because it makes more sense in Japanese. "Mushi" is "bug" and "Ushi" is "cow." As I understand it, the literal translation was:

Misty: "Bug! Bug! Bug! Bug!"
SFX: "Moo!"
Ash: *pops up in a cow costume* "Cow!"

... which I think is still funny on a number of levels.

Wobbuffet's a lot funnier when you know that his Japanese name sounds like a phrase that roughly translates to "That's right!" Also, Sudowudo's Japanese name roughly translates to "Liar." That's why there's that scene were Wobbuffet is talking to Sudowudo in its first episode. ("He says he's hungry." "That's Right!" "Liar!") It was also longer in the Japanese version, as I understand it.
