Private/Closed Becoming a Legendary Hero (SU&D)

Hello peoples, I’ve been wanting to post an RP about a long-term passion project that I’ve been working on since I was back in middle school, it’s a story I’ve been writing and I think would be a great RP setting and also as something that can evolve it in ways I would have never thought of. The story has been something that has been iterated on, changed, and revised for many years, now that I’m a grad school graduate and is still something I work on from time to time, without further ado I’ll get into it. Quick summary, Fantasy, with some scfi-fi elements, and a Lovecraftian core as a primary threat/presence.

    World/Setting: The world is known as Fortuna, there are many MANY races of people that live there from humans to dwarves, elves, anything typical in fantasy, including demi-humans (think monster girls and boys from modern anime), excluding angels and demons. Racism does exist though it is not normal as all races accept one another to some degree, most racism stems from demi-humans and is contained within their own kind due to them still having bestial hierarchy and order, though it is still not common.

    The lands are split into three massive kingdoms that holds an unsteady and uneasy peace. The technology of the land is a mixture of magic and tech. (think World of Warcraft in a way) imagine a world of tech. if magic exists as a dominant source of influence for example: there are guns that exist in the world, but they do not fire bullets or need to reload, instead they are vampiric in nature tapping into the user’s mana and focusing the raw mana power into a projectile, to this effect gun users can cast a wide and interesting array of abilities to modify a gun’s projectiles, and as long as the user has the energy and mana for it, they can fight.

    The deal with magic: Magic is no doubt a HUGE influence in the world, but there are individuals that are born without it, those without it find other ways to excel in the world though great physical prowess or external magical help.
    An individual born with magic will ALWAYS have at least one affinity to a type of magic

    · 2 affinities = uncommon/common
    · 3 affinities = rare
    · 4 affinities = extraordinary

    There are no more than an individual with 4 affinities that has been recorded in the history of the land. Affinities include:
    · Fire
    o Lightning
    · Water
    o Ice
    · Earth
    o Sand/Mud
    · Wind
    · Arcane (raw magic)
    · Spirit
    · Life
    · Eldritch (Cannot be chosen from the start)
    o Cosmic (Cannot be chosen from the start)

    Each of the elemental affinities has its own sub/secondary type that also functions as its own affinity, though it is common for those who have the primary or secondary to pick up the other once they get more skilled. Arcane magic is by far the most common with the most variance in power from simple telekinetic-like abilities to altering how time effects the individual.

    Note on Eldritch and Cosmic magic:
    Eldritch and cosmic magic is beyond god-like in power, having the ability to alter the very fabric of reality, perception, and understanding comes with an extremely steep price, including but not limited to an individual’s sanity and body. No one really studies or practices Eldritch and Cosmic magic willingly, though ANYONE can, aside from cultists and fanatics. Most get into it by pure accident only to be driven mad by it. Individuals most susceptible to being exposed to Eldritch are overzealous scholars and magic users that thirst for power and knowledge, the smarter you are the more susceptible you become. Those who fall become completely insane and will often physically transform into something so grotesque and otherworldly that others who look on the form will be driven mad themselves. These monstrosities are extremely tough and understandably dangerous, a single one can cause the downfall of an entire town or city, causing it to become Grey.

    How the World Works: Fortuna is a world of Adventures, as Adventures are the primary occupation, some others include the typical town jobs, inn keeper, shop owner, farmer, etc. but primarily the world is inhabited by Adventures.

    At a relative young age children are often sent to Beginner Adventurer Guilds to receive training on how to be an Adventurer, survival skills, basic to intermediate combat skills, and a specialty trainer if the child has a magical affinity they will also receive lessons on how to control and use said power by a trainer of the guild with the same respective affinity.

    They usually graduate around the age of 16 to 18 to which they will receive their official Adventures License and that will allow them to take on quests and jobs posted to local boards in towns and cities. With the license they are also allowed to enlist in the local military or militia if they would rather be a soldier than an Adventurer.

    For those that want to become a full time Adventurer or a professional Adventurer, they would seek to join private guilds to further their abilities and gain the opportunity to go on Raids with the guild. Private guilds are registered in the World Guild Directory (WGD), every has access to it, and the guilds vary from all over the world, some are even famous or infamous, other known for their generosity, while others are known for their accomplishments or misdeeds. Anyone can make a guild as long as a large enough group of adventures register to the WGD. It is through guilds that Legends are created. Major cities will often hold huge exhibitions of new Adventurers from Training Guilds of surrounds towns to exhibit the graduates to give them a chance to meet private guilds and their recruiters for a chance to join.

    Raids: Raids are what is exactly expected when you think of an MMORPG. A Guild will gather its members to undertake a momentous task that would otherwise be impossible for an individual or a small group to accomplish. Raids are more often posted by cities and towns, but sometimes individuals can also post raids, hiring entire Guilds to get a particular task done for marvelous rewards. Tasks of raids can include slaying a dragon, storming a fallen/renegade keep/stronghold/castle. Investigating anomalies or assisting the military in a particular task.

    Grey Town/Cities: When an entire city or town falls victim to the cosmic horrors of Eldritch and Cosmic magic and its cults, various military forces and guilds will be sent to the location to try to contain and seal the location. The name Grey Town or Grey City comes from the dense fog that engulfs the area when there are high concentrations of Eldritch and Cosmic magic and when a town or city is contained and sealed, the fog is also contained causing what appears to be a large bubble of grey that would formerly be the town or city.

    YOU are a recent graduate of a Training guild and you have been evaluated at the recent Recruit Showcase in the big city. To your surprise, you find that there are recruiters from a shadier/more controversial guild there. The WGD has very limited information on them doing little to life the shroud of mystery around them, but nevertheless they aslo have the reputation of being one of THE MOST elite and powerful guilds around. Naturally you are drawn to them and you turn in your Adventure form and fill out their recruitment form. The Guild was simply named: The Abyss Walkers.

She is usually dressed rather lavishly in elegant flowing white robes with gold swirling embroidery and a few highlights of red. Her left ear is pierced twice with the two mana battery earrings, and the Rejuvenation Beads are strung on a black choker that she wears.
    Personality: Mischievous but caring, she like playing harmless tricks on all members of the guild, those with higher rankings tend to get the worst ones. She is confident and absolute in her resolution, but deep down inside she hides a more vulnerable and insecure side that few have ever seen. She is also shown to be quite flirty, she is gorgeous and knows it, she will use her charm to get whatever she wants.
    Other Character Notes: One of the Founding members of The Abyss Walkers, Co-Guild Master, and current acting Guild Master.
    Bio: Aria never knew who her parents were her earliest memories were of her lining alone in a cave within a forest near a very small village. At a young age Aria displayed immensely powerful magical abilities and she used these abilities to terrorize the village to get food and other necessities. One day she met a runaway orphan named Isaac who was around the same age as her and his two friends who were also runaways. Isaac had told her that he and his friend were sent and hired by the village to capture or kill her to stop her terror. This did not fare will with her however, she held her own against Isaac’s two friends without much trouble but Isaac was unlike anything she had ever encountered, he bested her every time he found her forcing her to retreat, but he was not striking her down. Eventually Aria was forced into a corner, and during the final confrontation Isaac offered her a way out, an invitation to join his crew. Never knowing what it was like to be a part of something greater and not having much of any other choices she accepted, thus was the very early beginnings of the Abyss Walker Guild.

    I will not really have an active character in the RP as I will be playing the NPCs. my posts will in addition be more narration and world building, it sound kind of DMing in a way as well as passages from a book. Character limit: 1

    Clothing/Physical Appearance: Hugely tall and imposing with natural tan skin, he is almost always dressed in a dark grey overcoat that goes down past his shins with a high collar that covers almost half of his face along with a matching pocket cap that almost hides his entire face. he wears gloves over his Gloves of Protection when not in combat along with black combat boots with enhanced and reinforced toe and heel protection. In combat, Hanz prefers to be completely topless wearing only his combat pants and boots. The Gloves of Protection are fingerless gloves that have extra padding for the knuckles and the back of the hand, while the Wraps of Unnatural Rejuvenation are wrapped around his torso resembling old wound dressings.
    Personality: Rarely speaks but his presence alone demands the upmost respect and attention, he is deeply caring to those close to him and sees Isaac as a true brother and is just as important as his sister
    Other Character Notes: One of the founding members of the Abyss Walkers, within the guild's ranking he is ranked No. 4. He is immensely powerful in melee combat and despite his size, he is extremely fast, often considered unreachable, his punches and kicks happen with such speed and force that they break the sound barrier.
    Bio: One of the most veteran members of the guild having piratically grown up with Isaac in the same orphanage, Hanz, his sister, and Isaac were inseparable, and still are, for many years after even leaving the orphanage, and even until the establishment of the guild. Hanz is a mystery to most. He and his sister come from the Desert Country after their town was turned Grey where their parents were turned into cosmic eldritch abominations, a similar experience that they shared with Isaac.

    Personality: Alyssa is an extremely hard worker, she carries a lot of motherly traits, spending her spare time caring for everyone else but herself and tries to keep everyone around her optimistic. Despite this Alyssa herself is emphatic and emotionally shy. Identifying and responding to the feelings of others, Alyssa does not express her own personal feelings often.
    Other Character Notes: One of the founding members of the Abyss Walkers, within the guild's ranking she is ranked No. 5. Alyssa is universally loved by all in the guild. Alyssa has access to all affinities of magic not by natural means but by highly controversial, dangerously life threatening, and experimental magical surgery developed by herself and Aria that maximized the mana flow of her body and created artificial focus points though her body and infusing these focus points with raw energy of the magical affiliation it allows her to perform incredible feats of magic and melee the likes of which the world has never seen. Alyssa was not expected to survive the surgery due to the immense amount of spiritual mutilation that occurs, essentially slicing, redirecting, and reconstructing an entire person's mana flow system though spirit and life manipulation was unheard of. Alyssa's recovery time and suffering was long and grueling, but her survival and the results of the surgery stands as a defiance to nature and is a procedure that Aria and Alyssa sworn to never repeat.

She is covered up by the Cloak of Divine Storms, which is white with black trim and reflective electrical motif designs around the helms and ends. She is never seen without her sword the Blade of the Tempest, she always holds it in her hand and it is never tied to any part of her
    Personality: Outwardly she is cold and rather emotionless, she is serious and does not take well to jokes and being teased unless its from her brother or Isaac. In actuality she is quite nice, compassionate, caring, and generous.

    Personality: Loufe is a friendly, dense, sarcastic, but overall fun guy who likes to be with people. He's pretty intelligent when it comes to fighting, although quite dense in other subjects. He has a strong moral code, and will try to help anyone he can, although he can occasionally go in over his head.

    O.S is very sarcastic, somewhat sadistic, and cares for no one other than himself and Loufe. He may act cold, but he and Loufe largely have the same goals, and usually work together somewhat decently

    Bio: Loufe was born in a forest. He never knew his parents, and has no idea what happened to them, whether they left him or died. Either way, his lack of parenting made him have little control over his wolf power, making him gain a sort of second personality, relating to his wolf side. He calls it O.S, short for other self. O.S, having the mentality of a wolf, kept Loufe alive by hunting. Eventually he was taken in my an orphanage, and sent to the academy. He passed thanks to his smarts and O.S's bulk, but they didn't work well through it, as O.S wasn't happy that Loufe didn't need him to hunt anymore.

    Other: Thanks to his lack of control, he cannot freely transform between wolf a human. When in wolf form, O.S is in control, and he cannot use magic. When they're both in absolute sync, and completely work together, they'll will become an even bigger and stronger wolf and be able to use magic. Unfortunately, this is very hard to achieve, as they bicker, A LOT.

Sorry @BigHoodieBoy236 no demons or angels as stated in the opening, that's a firm stance im taking due to plot and how the world building is. also its my bad completely that i didn't specify XD, Ages are to be between 16 -18+ and Eldritch and Cosmic are affinities that cannot be chosen from the get go. I'll be editing that in now

    Bio: Joseph was abandoned as a toddler, but survived by making friends with a kind old lady that owned a shop. He never knew the woman's name, but she fed him when he stopped by, up until his twelfth birthday. On that day, her shop was ransacked and she was covered in blood behind the counter. He forced himself to nearly forget that day. Years later, in the academy, he was incredible in physical combat, but lacking in magic by a small amount. His physical speed and coordination carried him through the academy, although he was nearly expelled for behavioral issues. Since childhood, he's always wanted to be an Abyss Walker.

    @Gamingfan no problem ask away if you got any more questions.
    So the the Affinities in general work in a way of what types of magic your character has access to. like those with Fire, Water, and Earth once they get proficient enough they will be able to learn Lightning, Ice, and Sand/mud respectively. Those who have arcane affinity has the broadest spectrum of abilities essentially. Depending on how well educated and practiced the user is they can have access to things like what characters in Harry Potter do, to what Arcane Mages do in World of Warcraft. An example of a character who has arcane affinity in the RP that you guys will encounter is a Battle Mage (Melee mage fighter) (Fellow Abyss Walker) uses arcane magic to speed up how time effects themselves for a short duration, essentially shifting the individual so they become impossible to hit while they can land hits and move at unwatchable speeds.

    Life affinity is exactly as it sounds, magic that can effect the flow of life directly, positively or negatively, individuals with Life affinity can heal an ally by boosting their life force, transferring from their own life force, or transferring life force from others. Their raw magical abilities can cause healing, regeneration, and healing over time, while at the same time they can siphon life from others to heal another. Very skilled users are able to manipulate the raw life energies they control and use them as weapons either though bolt projectiles or through guns, but manipulating pure raw life energy is extremely powerful and super dangerous, its a TON of power.

    Fighting style: She prefers to fight with stealth and precision, usually buffing the swords with fire and using the wind to throw off her scent or some other sensory detail.
    Accessories: A cloak made from the shed scales of her Draconic father, which have slight magical properties, of minor Fire, Cold and poison resistance, with a pendant that holds the cloak on, the pendant has a small chance of summoning a skeleton, which listens to Fuyuko, and is only around as long as an hour.

    Endurance: 4/5 (occasionally trained with Young Dragons who were her half siblings, dragon playtime was rough)
    Strength: 3/5 (Can pick up approximately her own weight over her head.
    Dexterity: 3/5 (Her training with the Young Dragons usually involved her having to dodge them, or their attacks, most of the time)

    Weapon of Choice: Tachi; a sword similar to a katana but with a longer and more curved blade, Levi's tachi was made for him by his father with a white grip and his name etched into it's base
    Preferred Style of Combat: Typically stays mid range with magic and only brings out his Tachi if absolutely necessary, Levi likes to keep his battles short, he often spends time observing his opponent before making a move and relies on the enemy's weaknesses rather than his own strength
    Other Items: Levius has an old but shiny necklace on him at all times, typically wrapped around the grip of his sword and around his neck when he must leave his weapon behind, Levi doesn't know whether or not it is magical but his father claims it has saved his family more than once. The necklace is on a simply leather string and consists of a single pendant of dark red color with the symbol of a feather on it as well as a white bead on either side.

He has a graceful, almost feminine charm, with long legs, shiny hair and a soft face. Levius' complexion is smooth and fair, not sporting a single blemish of freckle. His face is long but pretty, with thin lips and round fox eyes. In his human form, he still has white fox ears and three black tails with white tips from his back. Levi dons the traditional robes of his ancestors with a touch of modern comfort to keep flexibility while in combat. He sports thing white sandals and a pair of spandex-type leggings that act as socks and go up to his waist. He also wears a a cotton, black sleeveless shirt- the legging and tank top only exists in case his kimono is burned or torn, he finds revealing himself in such wear is inappropriate and would never do it on purpose. Lastly, Levi wears a dark blue kimono, which is tightly wrapped around his body and secured with a black piece of fabric wrapped around him like a belt. His sword has a holder that wraps around his left shoulder and is black in color, and when not around his sword his pendant necklace is around his neck.
    • Fox: In his fox form, a shape he rarely takes, he looks almost identical to the standard red fox. With a slender body and short legs, Levi's fluffy coat is of the 'silver variety' with a black base and gray tipped fur while the tip of his tail, entire ears, and muzzle are distinctly white. His eyes keep their dull red color and he sports three fluffy tails all with the same white tip. When in this form, Levi sheds his clothes entirely, except for the necklace if it was around his neck.
    Personality: Levius is typically a quiet fellow, being very observant and soft spoken since he was a boy. Levi is not shy in any way, but he's found himself to have a much easier time when listening rather than talking. He's quick to judge and steadfast once he makes an opinion, coming off as bitter and rude due to his bluntness upon first interactions. While Levi's wandering mind likes to watch people and ask questions, once he has his eyes on a target or is given a task to fulfill his mood shifts entirely. Levi uses his observations to use the environment to his advantage, he watches his opponent with manipulative eyes and strikes when the time in right. For the most part, Levius just wants to get the job done fast. He believes that duty goes above all else, and his typically unwavering morals will be completely undermined if he is given an order. Still, Levi is very much a man of tradition, with an old fashioned sense of morals and a tendency to point out when he feels others are being unjust. Levi is extremely protective over those who he comes to care for, once considered his friend it is impossible to escape from Levi's loyalty.
    Bio: Levi was born from a long line of Kitsune with a strong sense of pride for their heritage. He grew up in a small rural town, helping his mother with chores and listening to his father's stories. Above all else, Levius loved to listen to tales of adventurers and conquest- his mother claimed that men in his family tended to have a hero complex and that ti was best for him to stay and work on the farm, but anyone could tell that the boy was going to be an adventurer. Once sent to a beginner guild, Levi's true talent flourished and he grew to be quite skilled. His specie's natural grace and agility added to his sly and clever character to make him a formidable opponent and fast learning when it came to physical activities- schoolwork... not so much. It took longer for Levi to master magic than most of his classmates, but once he figured it out he worked hard on improving his ability until he had caught up and even gone further than some of the others. Upon graduating, Levi knew immediately what he wanted to do. While his connection to his family ran deep, his pride told him that he would have to leave them behind in order to become the best adventurer he could be and eventually he'd repay them ten fold! So, upon reviewing all the guilds, of course Levius wanted to get into the most mysterious and elite of them all: The Abyss Walkers.

  10. OK! so back at it again

    To answer the last part of your question @Gamingfan. The Spirit affinity allows the user to commune with spirits to gain knowledge and insight, but the user must be careful as not all spirits are friendly and helpful. powerful users and masters are able to utilize spirit energy as a form of weapon to restore mana and heal the soul, though they an also use the same energy to harm the soul and burn mana away, causing near permanent and un-healable spirit damage that is only treatable by another Spirit affinity user. (Spirit damage entails that the afflicted generally has worse moods, low energy, low drive, less overall accessible mana for abilities etc.) Spirit affinity is also typically more commonly found among demi-humans, 9-Tailed Foxes or Kitsunes in particular seem to have a unique specialization with it manifesting in their signature Fox Fire abilities that carry powerful hexing and cursing capabilities that are even harder to cure or dispel, along with a unique form of divination.

The Abyss Walkers are fairly new compared to other guilds, probably just a bit over 10 years old, its one of the things that make the Abyss Walkers a bit on the controversial side is how fast they expanded with seemingly huge amounts of resources from unknown benefactors.

    @Barefoot_Kittens accepted, hmm another Fox, though this would be interesting. Is he just a Fox or a 9-Tails like Aria?

He drags around his blood hammer which is nearly double his size.
    Personality: Clint is an overachiever who takes things too far sometimes. He has a generally positive attitude and comes off as determined and strong willed, but is fueled by an unhealthy obsession to become stronger. He feels an obligation to protect those who can't protect themselves, and if a situation arises where someone is endanger, he might act a bit reckless. He believes that if he fails to meet his expectations, his life will be meaningless. This means that failing can leave Clint in a rather sulky and depressed mood. While Clint overall has a very positive attitude and energy, he has an internal resentment for the world and how cruel and unjust it is to people. It's rare for this side of him to reveal itself.
    Bio: Clint was born into wealth and had a pretty easy going childhood, apart from the times he'd have to protect his little sisters from bullies much stronger than himself. For a while he resented his wealth as he was aware of how many people were much less fortunate. Clint eventually adopted the ambition to protect all who needed it, and would waste no more time to become strong enough that he would be able to. Clint's father entrusted him with the mysterious blood axe for his magic and weaponry research. His father advised him never to use it unsheathed unless it is a matter of life and death.

    This RP looks pretty epic, not gonna lie. Hope this character works. Let me know if I should make any changes or expand on anything.

  15. To be completely honest I don't know, I spent a bit on the internet researching a species before I settled on Kitsune. From what I think I read, a Kitsune gets more tails as it ages or become stronger. The more tails, the stronger it is. And at 9-tails, a Kitsune is considered a divine creature. So I guess he's similar to your OC, just a baby.
    I have a question, however, involving the species. You barely mentioned it in your last post and it clicked, in mythology Kitsune's specialize in fire wielding. I made my character Ice/Water out of sheer ignorance, it slipped my mind. It's not a big deal, I guess, but would it make more sense for him to specialize in abilities that innately are accessible to his species (Fire and Spirit Magic rather than Water and Ice)?

Aria does some rather strange stuff that is completely out of the mythology, also Kitsune also just means fox in Japanese not necessarily always alluding into the mythical creature hence why i asked lol

I’m gonna leave the post up for now in case there’s still a chance I can be accepted, but if you decide not to that’s perfectly fine and I’ll remove the post.

He also owns a flail imbued with his magic, which he uses if he is depleted of his magical energy, though he’s much less adept with it.
    Preferred Style of Combat: Prefers close combat utilising his magic, as that’s what he was trained to perform in, though he can also fire beams at a distance if he feels the enemy could overpower him.
    Other Items: A ring that belonged to his grandfather, thought to bring good luck. He wears it on his right index finger at almost all times.

    Clothing/Physical Appearance: Physically, Hunheart is pretty average looking, aside from the multicoloured eyes of course. His skin is a lightly tanned white. The only other thing worth noting is that on both arms, everything below his elbow is pure magical matter with a purple, cosmic like appearance (which is where the “arcane elemental” part of his race comes in). There are patches of this magic covered all over his body, including one on his cheek, however they seem to be purely cosmetic and don’t do anything special. In terms of clothing, Hunheart dons a brown wizards cap with a mostly green but brown in some places tunic over a basic parchment white shirt. He wears dark brown pants that go well with his tunic, and black boots on his feet. He also wears a green scarf around his neck that is draped over his shoulders. He has a utilty belt around his waist that has his flail and satchel attached to it.
    Personality: Hunheart tends to be a pretty cold and reserved person, he doesn’t open up about his feelings very often, and could be described by people who have never met him as a cold, unnerving person to be around. To the people he has opened up to and accepted, he’s described as a warm person who just wants the best for himself and the people he cares about.
    Bio: Hunheart was raised in a small village of people like him, and was sent off to a training guild at a pretty early age. There he was constantly ridiculed by the other children around him for his weird arms and multi-coloured eyes, this was mostly what developed his cold and reserved exterior. Though as Hunheart began to excel in school and harness his unstable magic, the children making fun of him began to drop, and the bullying eventually stopped. Nothing else of note really happened during his schooling, and he graduated from school at the age of 17.

She is often the first official person from the guild that new recruits will face, how the new recruits react to her is a test in itself. Though already deadly and efficient she is still a student and currently studies and trains under a mentor of the guild.
    Bio: For a 21 year old she appears deceptively young yet she holds quite a high rank and reverence within the Abyss Walkers. She hails from the Deep Jungles of the Northern Kingdoms, having moved to the kingdom's capital to chase her dreams of becoming a successful patisserie catering specifically to adventuring goods that are as delicious as they look and just as functional as any potion or elixir. After establishing her first successful business, she ventured to the Southern Kingdom, where upon per chance she ran into Isaac and his group of misfit individual who invited her to join them in giving her tour around the land. The Gloves of Protection are fingerless gloves that have extra padding for the knuckles and the back of the hand, while the Wraps of Unnatural Rejuvenation are wrapped around his torso resembling old wound dressings.
    Personality: Rarely speaks but his presence alone demands the upmost respect and attention, he is deeply caring to those close to him and sees Isaac as a true brother and is just as important as his sister
    Other Character Notes: One of the founding members of the Abyss Walkers, within the guild's ranking he is ranked No. 4. He is immensely powerful in melee combat and despite his size, he is extremely fast, often considered unreachable, his punches and kicks happen with such speed and force that they break the sound barrier.
    Bio: One of the most veteran members of the guild having piratically grown up with Isaac in the same orphanage, Hanz, his sister, and Isaac were inseparable, and still are, for many years after even leaving the orphanage, and even until the establishment of the guild. Hanz is a mystery to most. He and his sister come from the Desert Country after their town was turned Grey where their parents were turned into cosmic eldritch abominations, a similar experience that they shared with Isaac.

    Personality: Outwardly she is cold and rather emotionless, she is serious and does not take well to jokes and being teased unless its from her brother or Isaac. In actuality she is quite nice, compassionate, caring, and generous.
    Other Character Notes: Younger sister to Hanz. One of the founding members of the Abyss Walkers, within the guild's ranking she is ranked No. 5

    RP post is up im pretty sure you've seen and some of you have already posted, bust just as a reminder. planning on moving the start fairly quickly as soon as people start posting. Really really excited about this :D

    As a heads up, since my posts are meant to move the story and setting along, do pay attention to what is being described in the environment and what characters are present along with details that you would want to know, you can have a character ask someone who may be knowledgeable if an object in the environment gets a passing mention but no further explanation. this can give your characters knowledge that could be useful later along with building relationships with the characters, they are technically NPCs in the RP to you guys, but they are quite well developed since these guild members are main and major characters in the story that I've been writing for years now.

    Think of this RP as kind of a game, i do encourage you guys to explore and ask questions.

  26. the 6 recruits do not know each-other, unless you guys have discussed something in private which is fine. if your character prefers to remain anonymous to the rest of the 5 that's fine too, since the guild already knows who all 6 of he recruits are via recruitment forms and applications, and each one of the recruits will be called on by name once they arrive at the guild house, so its more or less how YOUR character would handle the situation based on their personality. It can show just a bit of how your character is like to others.
     
  27. Oh dear god. I'm super sorry about the length on that one, I guess I got carried away. I can summarize it for those who don't have the time to read any entire book:
    Basically, Levi is just as confused as the others- though he's doing his best not to show it. He is kinda overthinking the situation as he analyzes everyone (he's not too fond of the group so far). In the last paragraph he introduced himself with his old-fashioned charisma and stands, expectantly, waiting for the others to follow suit.

    I promise my future posts will not be so long. I get carried away when my character isn't interacting with other's XD.

    Bio: Carol and her twin sister have been serving the Abyss Walker Guild House for as long as they can remember, under the guidance and teachings of the Head Butler, both Carol and her sister manage the help staff and the entire estate with the upmost of standards and respect to the Guild members as well as each other.
    New Area: Star Reach Mountains (Brief info.)
    The Star Reach Mountains are more near the south western part of the continent, roughly a weeks away from the starting city if travelling diligently by foot, or 3-4 days by caravan. The Mountains are revered and famed for their extremely high peaks with legends stating for a hero to climb every peak is to ascend to the realm of the Celestials and receive their blessings. In addition the Mountains and the surrounding forests are renowned for its extremely powerful wildlife that only the most experienced of adventurers dare to explore. Despite its dangers many explorers and scholars still find ways to explore the region due to its unique wild life not found anywhere else, along with strange environmental properties. Magic seems to be empowered near the mountain peaks especially those pertaining to divination. Some unique species exclusively found in the Star Reach Mountain range include: Rune Great Sabers, Greater Arcane Cobras, several spices of dragons, most notably the Eclipse Dragons, and the elusive Fulgur Unicorns.

    To most people the Star Reach Mountains is a location shrouded in mystery and wonder. To adventurers, it’s one of many places for them to explore and potentially train in. To guilds, it’s an opportunity to find powerful prey to hunt for powerful items and materials to empower items. But no one has ever climbed all its peaks to discover its secrets. Widely disbelieved rumors state that hidden somewhere deep within its heart, the headquarters of a guild could be found. But there are no known residences or even permanent encampments on the Mountain.

    Phasebird
    A moderately sized bird about the size of an average crow and about smart as one too. These beautiful arcane affiliated birds come in all colors in bright colorful patterns. They can be found in most forested areas of Fortuna exception of colder climates. They are quite rare, but within The Star Reach Mountain range is where they are most commonly found. Phasebirds are near impossible to catch let alone detain due to their ability to teleport up to 100 yards (~91 meters). They live in large families and groups often consisting of hundreds of individuals.
