DPPt/HGSS Beat ups effectiveness?

I saw this move earlier today, and contemplated its usefulness...I have to ask people here who may have used the move.Just how powerful would beat up be on a team designed for beat up?Lets say it was composed of a weavile (who got beat up from sneasal),and 5 thick club marowaks.

Since defense and attack seem to be the stats for this move, and thick club marowaks probably have the highest of both stats of any pokemon, how powerful do you think such a weaile would be against enemy pokemon?

for anyone who doesn't know the move,it is a 10 base attack power dark move, which adds 10 power for each non status pokemon on your team (including faint).HOWEVER it uses their defense and attack supposedly as a basis for the 10 attack they offer to the move. (based on psypoke)

there are two ways to test this out. you can enter a wifi battle, or something, and compare it to night slash. make sure you're going up against a team of steelixes, or shuckles, or something. beat up is phys, and shuckle/steelix have RIDICULOUS def stats. 200+ base, on either.

or, you can try and do it in game with a low level--fast--pokemon.
