Welcome trainers to Trainers Island. A Pokémon trainer paradise. Here there are pokemon to catch, contests, and of course battles. Every year there is an annual competition to decide the island champion. Here is some basic info.
Trainer's Island is just north, off the coast of the Hajime Region (my fan made region). There is a large beach, where the port is, where trainers enter on the northern face. Just south of that is the main part of the island, where there is a city, Battle arena, Contest Hall, Pokemon Centers, shops, stands, parks, and so much more. Like previously mentioned, it's a paradise. Outside the city, the rest of the island is thick jungle.
The competition itself will be baised in the Battle Arena called the Battle dome. Battles will take place on a ground field, nothing to fancy.
Okay so it's not just going to be just battling. There will be some antigonists involved. Well one. I'll get to him later. Now the rules.

Name: Ry Burst
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ry has slighly toned skin, but is still kinda pale. He has brownish red shaggy hair, that gets in his face. His eyes are a sparkling green. On his left shoulder, he has a small scar.
Clothing: Ry under most occasions wears a black t-shirt with an open red hoodie over it. Over his shoulder is a green one handled backpack, similar to Brendon's from Pokemon Emerald, (if you need a reference). He has grey jeans, with a white baseball cap clipped to the left side. He wears a pair of red converse sneakers.
Personality: Ry is an upbeat kid. He loves to battle and is always up for one. He has a lot of skill as a pokemon breeder, and specializes in Fighting Type Pokemon, but uses more then just them. He is very knowledgeable about Pokémon related topics, but very naive on other topics.
Backstory: Ry was born and raised in Veilstone City, Sinnoh. His mother is a breeder, and his father was a police officer. When Ry was 6, his father got a call for some Team Galactic wannabee screwing around in a warehouse. Ry followed his father to the warehouse, and there was an explosion. Ry was saved by a Latios whom was being captured at the time. Latios was sent out of the ware house, only sustaining a minor scar on his shoulder.
When he turned 10, he got an egg, which hatched into a Chimcar. Ry spent the next 5 years training with Maylene, and learning the basics of Pokémon breeding. During that time the Chimcar evolved, and then he started his Sinnoh Journey.
Extra: Ry has a unique fighting style, where he sometimes mimics his pokemon's movements and they work in sync.

Personality: Fuego is upbeat, and loves to battle, much like his trainer. They are best friends. Fuego likes to give people thumbs up. He always gives one before he faints, as a sign of respect.
Backstory: Professor Rowan was passing through Veilstone City, with the eggs of a Chimchar, Piplup, and Turtwig, the sinnoh starters. There was a mistake and the egg was switched with a machop egg, bound for Ry. Ry got Chimchar egg, and Rowan got the Machop egg. The egg, Ry had hatched, and there was some confusion. By the time Rowan had found his missing Chimchar, and what had happened with he eggs, he saw how much they had bonded. They spent the next 5 years together, training. Fuego evolved into a Monferno. Then on Ry's 15th birthday, they started their journey.

Personality: Splashy is very gentle and mother like. He cares for other pokemon and Ry, like thy are children.
Backstory: When Splashy was a Poliwag he was tossed into a river. Ry jumped in ot save him, and they were friends ever since. He evolved in battle, and later found a Water Stone and reached his final form.

Appearance: Sometimes wears a leather glove with his mega stone in the back of the hand
Gender: Male
Ability: Overgrow -> Lightning Rod
Personality: He's very independent. He prefers to battle opponents, whom he was a type disadvantage with. He doen't like Mega Evolving. He wields his leaves around like natural katanas.
Backstory: When Jet was a Treecko, he was abandoned or beg to weak. he spent some time training, and tricking trainers. Then he evolved and began to steal. He stole from Ry and Ry was impressed by his power. Jet followe Ry and evenly joined Ry's team. He evolved in a battle with Fantina, and was given the stones from Cythina.

Appearance: Normal
Gender: Male
Ability: Rivalry
Personality: Very rough. He has a Brave Nature. He is quiet and serious.
Backstory: As a Luxio, he was a gang leader for a group of Shinx. Then a rouge police officer, tried to hurt him, Ry saved him last minute.

Ability: Reckless
Personality: She's sweet, but a fierce fighter, with a lot of will power.
Backstory: When Ry's Pokemon were stolen, Ry caught a Staravia to help him find his team. They teamed up and became friends. She later evolved.

Personality: He's quiet and serious.
Backstory: He was found as an egg. He hatched as a Riolu, and they were good friends.

Personality: She's an explorer. She loves to travel, and meet new people. She is really friendly.
Backstory: She was given as an egg, and hatched.

Personality: He is a baby like pokemon. He is loyal, but isn't the best fighter.
Backstory: Ry found him as a egg. The egg hatched, and Ry found out it belonged to an abusive trainer wanting to be a fighting type master. Ry battled to keep the Tyrouge, and they bonded.

Personality: He's fierce and overprotective over Ry.
Backstory: He was Ry's rival Dennis' best Pokemon, until Dennis left Gyra to sink into the ocean, while in his pokeball. Ry jumped in afterwards to save him. After a while, the hostile Water/Flying type warmed up to Ry.
