Battle Frontier/Subway records

Discussion in 'Pokémon Games Discussion' started by Valin, Dec 26, 2011.

  1. Just thought I'd make a thread about what our best run through the Battle Frontier or Battle Subway was, and what team we used (for the most part, anyway).

In my case, in Pokemon White, I managed to get 45 straight wins in the Super Double Subway with a team consisting of:

    Gengar@Focus Sash
    Timid nature
    Levitate
252 Sp. Attack EVs, 252 Speed EVs, 4 Sp. Defense EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Sp. Attack IVs
    -Shadow Ball
    -Energy Ball
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Thunderbolt

    Gallade@Expert Belt
    Adamant nature
    Steadfast
252 Attack EVs, 252 Sp. Defense EVs, 4 Speed EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Sp. Defense/Speed IVs
    -Close Combat
    -Psycho Cut
    -Leaf Blade
    -Shadow Sneak

    Scizor@Muscle Band
    Adamant nature
    Technician
252 Attack EVs, 252 Defense EVs, 4 Speed EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Defense IVs
    -X-Scissor
    -Bullet Punch
    -Aerial Ace
    -Brick Break

    Hydreigon@Choice Specs
    Modest nature
    Levitate
252 Sp. Attack EVs, 252 Speed EVs, 4 Sp. Defense EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Speed IVs
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Dark Pulse
    -Flamethrower
    -Draco Meteor (hardly ever used)

My big winning streak was brought to an end by this totally cheap Gentleman trainer, who used a team consisting of Virizion, Moltres, Aricuno, and Regirock (I might have won, if the Virizion wasn't so lucky with every single Focus Blast it used...) Much earlier, though, I did manage to beat a Veteran (female), who used Entei, Suicune, Regice, and Thundurus.

Anyway, I'm hoping future posts will allow us to see various forms of team-building potential, which we can learn from.

  2. I got 47 on Super Single my teams was

    Scolipede - Rocky Helmet
    Lonely Nature
    Poison Point
    -Rock Slide
    -Strength
    -Steamroller
-Venoshock (Never used and didn't mean to put on)

    Sigilyph - No Item
    Naive Nature
    Wonder Skin
    -Psychic
    -Ice Beam
    -Theif
    -Air Slash

    Meinshao - Expert Belt
    Naughty nature
    Regenerator
    -Hi Jump Kick
    -U Turn
    -Fake Out
    -Stone Edge

Don't know the EV's they had because they were my main playthrough team
Eventually my streak was broken due to a Veteran (Female) with a Heatran, a Articuno and a Thundurus :(

  3. If you are 2HKO'd by opponent, being frozen actually has a higher chance of winning than being paralyzed (which has 0 chance after first turn).

If you use Kingdra, Sharpedo will use Crunch instead of Ice Fang. (Of course, other things can still freeze hax you, but more likely only ice types will use ice moves since it only hits neutral). I'm assuming you're keen on using a dragon... otherwise, just use something that doesn't attract ice.

  4. NEW RECORD!

49 straight wins on Super Double Subway, with a team consisting of:

    Garchomp @ Life Orb
    Jolly Nature
    Sand Veil
252 Attack EVs, 252 Speed EVs, 4 Defense EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Attack/Speed IVs
    -Earthquake
    -Outrage
    -Brick Break
    -Stone Edge

    Gengar @ Focus Sash
    Timid nature
    Levitate
252 Sp. Attack EVs, 252 Speed EVs, 4 Sp. Defense EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Sp. Attack IVs
    -Shadow Ball
    -Energy Ball
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Thunderbolt

    Scizor @ Flying Gem
    Adamant nature
    Technician
252 Attack EVs, 252 Defense EVs, 4 Speed EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Defense IVs
    -X-Scissor
    -Bullet Punch
    -Acrobatics
    -Brick Break

    Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
    Modest nature
    Levitate
252 Sp. Attack EVs, 252 Speed EVs, 4 Sp. Defense EVs
Relatively superior potential, max Speed IVs
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Dark Pulse
    -Flamethrower
    -Surf

Ended up losing the 50th match against a Janitor who used Meganium, Kingdra, Abomasnow, and Bronzong. Came very close to winning, but the battle was down to Garchomp and Bronzong, and I had to hammer away at it with Brick Break, losing HP with every attack, and lost when I would have otherwise been just one more attack away from victory.
Sigh... How does this happen to a guy who, two rounds ago, beat a team consisting of Articuno, Regice, Entei, and Registeel?
