This is nothing actually new - merely officially cementing something that has been policy for a long time - but clearly, common sense is not as common as we would like to believe, and as I simply cannot believe I have to keep mentioning this over and over again - it is now in the official rules list.
Simply put: the use of images in threads in the RP forums - both RP forums and discussion boards - is limited to:
A. Images that the poster created on their own. In general, the same restrictions as the Creative Corner apply here (that is to say: either art that was created 100% by the user, or was created with the use of official art Pokemon assets) with a single exception - for the purposes of the RP forums, the use of avatar/doll maker/generators is allowed, provided a link is provided to the generator used).

B. Images that have been created for the poster, either by request or commission, so long as it can be proven that the images were created for the poster (and a link to the original artist is provided) and do not use stolen resources.
Use of any other art is expressly prohibited.
Keep in mind, as well, that the use of images in an RP thread at all is generally frowned upon. Use words. Describe your characters. Visual aids are nice, but they are no replacement for actual written content.
Secondarily - but no less importantly - remember that the Global Rules of the Pokecharms Forums apply ANYWHERE on the site, in addition to the RP forum rules. Read both sets of rules and follow them. Yes, ESPECIALLY including the statements about paragraphs and format. The rules are there for a reason, and that is to gradually improve the experience and gradually raise the writing quality - but this cannot happen if people continue doing the bare minimum, if that, and not actually put any effort into their RPing. This just leads to a lot of threads being shut down due to rule violations that are impossible to excise via surgical intervention and a lot of frustration for both moderators and members. The quality of the RP boards depends on you as much as it does on us.
