Why not add a welcoming forum so that new members can introduce themselves to the other people on the forum. That way people will know the new member. ;)

There's a welcoming thread... a whole forum for it is pretty silly.

It's stickied in the Misc. Forum :p A simple look around would've told you where to introduce yourself.
