Ask to Join A Kalos Adventure That Could Go Really Anywhere

Yes, the title is long. Yes, I did it for a pseudo-comedic effect. And also, this is my first RP discussion post! Woohoo!

Starting off with the rules:
1. I only want one or two other people in this. You can be noobs, experienced, or even high-level trainers. It doesn't matter, as long as you're good with roleplaying them.
2. No Fakemon or original Pokémon. However, your Pokémon can have special attributes to them. Natural variation is something that exists.
3. Please try and stay caught up with the story if you are roleplaying. We don't want you to get lost.

Anyways, my character is a noob to say the least. He literally just started his journey, but he's off to a better-than-usual start with two Pokémon that he has all the right to be proud of; A Porygon named Melissa (after the virus) and a Rotom named Voltergeist. The setting is in Snowbelle City, as that is where he starts off his journey. He never got a starter, but he got one early, so there was never a need. The profile template is the one specified in the pinned post, but for convenience's sake I'm pasting it here.

Now, for you all because I love you so very much, will be posting my character's profile.
Now, before you say it, I get it. The "past" section is quite a big read. It won't be necessary for you to read the entire thing.

Name: Tormey Jobs
Gender: Male
Hometown: Snowbelle City
Age: 12
Height: 4'8
Weight: 92 Ibs.
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: A really light brown, that looks almost yellow.
Clothing: He usually wears thick coats that are American daisy orange/grey. He also wears sweatpants of similar colors. He has brown winter boots and thick black electrical insulated gloves, and doesn't wear hats or toboggans.
Identifying Marks: There really isn't anything yet, as he hasn't been put in serious danger just yet.
Musculature: He's actually quite frail, except when it comes to electricity and cold.
Personality: Tormey, despite having the skills to communicate quite well, is still shy and timid and doesn't respond well to confrontation. He doesn't like arguing at all, and will do his best to stray away from an argument when it does occur. He is also very attached to his friends, and any that he does make should be prepared to have him with them a lot. His closest friend, Melissa, is almost always by his side and he does his best to stay as close to it as possible.
Tormey is incredibly smart, and always tries to find the logical solution to things. A logical solution, as defined by him, is one that gets the decider through a problem with the least negative effects on him. This sort of logic is incorporated into his battle style. Another consequence of this logic is that he is incredibly patient. He has no problem waiting for things to happen, and uses this time waiting to formulate the best strategies that he can think of. He will also study things intensely, like he did with Melissa's strengths and weaknesses, which he uses in strategy and planning.
Even though he is very smart for his age, he is easily fooled by odd strategies that don't conform to what he thinks would happen. This is something that can be easily exploited once the weakness is found. He also has a tendency to take things to heart and to take things like jokes and sarcasm literally. When these hurt his feelings, his ability to properly strategize can become incredibly hampered depending on how sad he is.
Skills: Tormey, since he is a newbie trainer, doesn't have many honed skills yet. However, as stated before, he is a great strategist. Not only that, but he's really good with electronics. Like, really good.
Past: [Early Year]

He was born on April 11, 2003 to his mother and father. His childhood that early on was largely uneventful and filled with crying and all of the other activities babies tend to do. However, soon after his first birthday, his mother got addicted to drugs and alcohol. She got taken away from her husband and Tormey, and was institutionalized due to a severe mental illness that had been amplified by her drug usage. Because of this sequence of events, Tormey grew up without a mother because his father was afraid something like this would happen again and he didn't want to put his infant son through it.

[Childhood]

Although he grew up with a single parent and his early years were incredibly rough, him and his dad fared quite well financially. He never once fell into poverty, and his dad had a good job as a standalone technology repairman. As a consequence, Tormey grew up in an environment filled to the brim with technology. He took a fascination into the inner workings of computers, phones, televisions, and most other technologies. However, this interest took an unexpected toll on him.

[First Diagnosis]

Around the time he turned nine years old, Tormey had been spending hours in a relatively dark room, watching videos and reading about technology, which was something that was to be expected. After taking a break, he put on his coat and ran outside. It had just been heavily snowing, so there was fresh snow on the ground. Because the storm had moved on, the sun was out. These two things, combined with him being in a dark room for hours, caused him to collapse into a seizure. He was quickly rushed to a hospital, and not long after, he was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy caused by snow blindness.

[Second Diagnosis]

After this diagnosis, he became sort of recluse. He feared going outside might trigger another one, and almost entirely stopped going outside for fun like he had used to. He started having trouble making friends because he didn't have many to begin with and he feared that his epilepsy would be a turnoff for any new friends he might encounter, so he shrunk down to an introverted and anxious person. It wasn't long after this that he was diagnosed with social anxiety.

[Overcoming Obstacles]

He continued living like this for years, much to the dismay of his father. However, he proved not to be totally gone. He found himself doing great with people who came into his dad's shop for help. He knew a lot about technology, so if someone needed help, that was one of the few things he felt really confident in. His dad started keeping Tormey out on the floor to talk to people and help them with inquiries, and this helped him start to overcome some of the obstacles that life had given him, and it had a positive effect on his personality and made him much, much happier.

[First Friend]

Despite his newfound energy in helping people with technology, he still struggled with making friends and talking to people about things that didn't have to do with technology. This continued until one day when he was on his computer. It was a typical resting day for him, browsing the internet and watching videos. He didn't realize it, but he had gotten so invested in what he was doing that he didn't notice the rumbles of thunder above. He didn't notice them until a massive bolt of lightning struck his house, causing a power surge and knocking his computer out. It was clearly fried because he forgot to plug it into a surge protector. However, there was something weird. The monitor was shaking a bit, even though it shouldn't be. He was about to touch it when a pink-and-blue duck-looking thing shot out of the screen.

The moment it popped out, he knew what it was. It was the Porygon program, developed by Silph Co.! You wouldn't believe how happy he was to have his hands on one. The Porygon program was incredibly expensive but also very rare because so few were produced. There must have been one that embedded itself into his computer, which would explain why it was ejected out when the computer got destroyed. Ecstatically, he picked it up and showed it to his father. Instead of seeing a fancy and high-tech piece of coding, his father saw it as an opportunity to ease him in to making friends. He naturally let him keep it, and Tormey naturally started tinkering with it and upgrading it. He started snooping around the house, where he found and eventually gave Porygon a TM49 Tri-Attack, which was arguably the best move it could have. He studied it, and learned the moves, stats, and just about anything else he could pull from it. He even gave it a name- he called it "Melissa", after the famous computer virus.

[Overcoming Even More Obstacles...]

Tormey grew really attached to Melissa, and the feelings were reciprocated. The two would spend hours every day just writing code and messing with computers and other technology. Just talking to Melissa got his courage up enough to start talking to people. Granted, he had a hard time making friends still, but he could instigate conversations about most topics now, but especially tech-related talk, as that was still his thing regardless.

As he started nearing his thirtheenth birthday, he realized that this was the age that most people set out for their own adventures. He started training and training and building himself up both physically and mentally. He even started to go out into the snow much more often and started making friends. With Melissa in tow, he was ready to start, and he set off.

[Starting His Journey]

On the first day he set out, he wanted to teach Melissa how to do a fight. This led them to a warehouse that was rumored to be the home of a rare Pokémon that turned out to be a Rotom. Considering all of Melissa's moves could do nothing to it due to the Ghost typing, Tormey was forced to capture it. After it caused a bit of havoc by taking over a parked car, he took it out to the Winding Woods to teach it to obey. He also gave it the name Voltergeist there, and made a deal that it could do pranks on occasion if he were to listen.

Family: He has his mother and father, and that's it. His father, Clark Jobs, was his caretaker for practically his entire life. His mother, on the other hand, was absent for practically all of it. She was put in an insane asylum, and as his dad thinks Tormey is too young to see her like that, he hasn't let him see her just yet, though he plans to eventually let him see her.
Love Relationships?: None yet.
Pokémon: Species, Nickname, Gender, Ability, Hidden Power, Special Features, History/Personality, etc.

Species:
Porygon
Nickname: Melissa
Gender: Genderless
Ability: Download
History: Melissa was created by the Silph Co. in the late 1990s. It was and is still a technological marvel to this day, however it was incredibly expensive to produce, so finding them and obtaining them was always hard. Because of poor sales, most of the remaining Porygon were sent into cyberspace where they went around the world digitally. This was Melissa's fate, and it did this for years. Eventually, the device it was on was found to be problematic and the device locked it in. This was brought into none other than a shop in Snowbelle City, where the device was repaired. Melissa escaped, and found itself in another computer in the shop. This time it stayed, knowing any damage to it would be repaired quickly. It stayed embedded in this computer, until one day during a storm.
A bolt of lightning fried the computer it was in, and Melissa went into a sort of panic mode where it was thrown from the computer for the first time in its physical form. Porygon were almost entirely coded creatures that lived in computers, so this was a first for it. It decided, to avoid the same accident that burned it and nearly destroyed it, that it was going to stay like this. Melissa took a liking to the first boy it saw, a shut-in named Tormey. Of course, their fascination in technology allowed them to get along quickly. It was at this time that Melissa was given the name, which was named after a destructive computer virus. It was a bit ironic because Melissa could destroy viruses, but it was fitting nonetheless.
Personality: Due to being coded, Melissa can come off as kinda cold to some. Although it does have the ability to empathize and things like that, it cannot form tones with its voice and often winds up sounding like a text-to-speech program on the rare occasion it does speak. Much like Tormey, it struggles to keep conversation, although its because of its AI not being programmed with conversation in mind. Melissa is much more calculating, and can create calculations and scenarios in less than seconds like any other computer AI can. This allows it to fight in most styles if it really needs to, though it prefers a sort of "wait and see what happens and then make a move" style of fighting, which is what Tormey excells in.

~Addendum: Melissa can speak, however in only a few certain phrases. It also speaks like a text-to-speech program. It can, however, communicate via binary, displaying code, and tends to buzz when it's about to attack.

Species: Rotom
Nickname: Voltergeist
Gender: Genderless
Ability: Levitate
History: Not much is known about Voltergeist's history, because it has forgotten most of everything before a few months prior. Analysis of it by Melissa has shown that it is, in fact, practically a baby. It's very young, and according to Melissa it has lived out most of its life in the warehouse with all of the appliance motors in it. It had only fought a battle once, and the battle ended before there was a clear victor.
Personality: Voltergeist is a huge prankster, to say the least. It likes to spend most of its free time messing with people. It tends to do this by taking over random electronics like televisions and toasters, and occasionally gives people a good shock. It has a similar personality to that of a mischievous little boy, in that it struggles to learn from its mistakes sometimes and doesn't always like to listen. However, it has learned to keep itself under control, and hasn't hurt anyone seriously.

Hi, I'm new to this website so I hope I'm doing this right! I filled out the template below, and I think I'm supposed to submit it here? Let me know if I messed it up in any way, or I should have posted this somewhere else (sorry if I did).

Name:
Harper Key
Gender: Female
Hometown: Couriway Town
Age: 13
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 115 lbs
Hair: Coral/pink, medium-long in a ponytail
Eyes: Light blue with a tinge green
Clothing: Blue skinny jeans, and usually wears an orange hoodie or a pink sweater. She wears purple-and-pink high tops, and has tan hiking boots as well.
Identifying Marks: Birthmark in the shape of a heart on her right shoulder
Musculature: Though she is skinny, she is tough and can withstand most environments. She is a strong fighter.
Personality: Though Harper often projects a happy attitude to others, she is very insecure about many of her traits. She is strong-willed and thinks with her feelings rather than her brain, and feels ashamed that she is not very academically intelligent. Despite this, Harper brings a positive outlook to her experiences, and she can be counted on as a loyal friend. Harper can be stubborn, and is a very impatient waiter. When others' opinions clash with hers, she usually puts up a fight to prove that she is right. Since her emotions drive her, her first impressions on others can be quite extreme. Harper is a fan of mischievous practical jokes. Her jokes, as well as everything else she does, are brash and reckless, which can lead her down the wrong path and upset people around her. Harper, however, excels at reading other people's and Pokemon's emotions, and will always be ready to help them talk through their issues. Boundaries in relationships do not exist in Harper's eyes, so many people she meets feel intruded upon by her questions.
Skills: Harper is a novice trainer, so she has only developed some minor skills. She has learned to train her Pokemon to fool their foes through quick choreography and fast-moving battle combinations.
Past:
Early Life:
Born on May 11, 2002, Harper's early childhood was rather uneventful, as her parents cared for her every day for her first year and six months. After then, however, her mother and father were both taken ill and soon afterward, they died. Harper was sent from Lumiose City to live with her grandmother in Couriway Town. After her fifth birthday, Harper was enrolled in the Couriway Town Elementary School, where she began kindergarten. She made close friends with a boy named Duncan, since they both shared an interest in Pokemon battling. They vowed to become Pokemon trainers on their twelfth birthdays.
Pokemon Trainer:
When Harper turned twelve, she received the exact present she had been asking for: a Pokemon. The Nurse Joy of Couriway Town had decided to give away Pokemon to Duncan and Harper, having seen their interest in Pokemon grow over the years. Duncan received a Mienfoo, and Harper received her partner Pokemon Cherubi, whom she nicknamed Luna. After two days of non-stop battling between Duncan and Harper, it was announced that Duncan's family would be moving to Unova, and the next day, Harper's best friend was gone. She was dismayed to lose her only friend, and sought friendship with Luna. To distract them both, Harper set out on a journey from Couriway Town to Anistar City.
Adventuring through Mountain Kalos:
Luna and Harper travelled to Anistar City, where they encountered many other trainers and Pokemon. After countless battles with workers in Terminus Cave, Luna suddenly evolved into Cherrim. The two made it to Anistar City shortly afterward. In Anistar City, Harper entered a small tournament with a prize Pokemon for the winner. She beat out her competition and added her new Slugma, nicknamed Squish, to her party. Together, the two Pokemon helped Harper win her first gym badge, the Psychic Badge from Olympia. After that, the two travelled through Dendemille Town to Laverre City, where Harper won the Fairy Badge from Valerie. She then decided to return to Couriway Town and travel towards Snowbelle City. Upon arrival in Snowbelle City, Harper went into the Winding Woods, where she encountered a Riolu that she captured. She nicknamed the Riolu Ranger.
Snowbelle City/Current Day:
Harper trained her Pokemon, especially Squish, and she prepared to challenge the leader Wulfric to a gym battle. Her Pokemon were fairly experienced with gym battling, and she was entering the gymnasium.
Family: Since Harper's mother and father have passed away, her only relative is her grandmother, referred to as Gran. Gran and Harper are very close, and they share a unique bond of care for one another.
Love Relationships: No... she's not interested in anything related to relationships.

POKEMON:

Species:
Cherrim
Nickname: Luna
Gender: Female
Ability: Flower Gift
History: Initially raised in the Couriway Town Pokemon Center, Luna was solely trained by Harper. In the Pokemon Center, Luna enjoyed playing around with the Pokemon toys, such as Pokedolls and toy building blocks. Soon, she became more interested in battling, and when she joined Lyric's side, she decided to hone in on her battling skills.
Personality: Just like her physical form, Luna's personality changes with the weather. When the sunlight is bright, Luna is cheerful, optimistic and very playful. She enjoys exploring new places and solving problems, as well as strategizing battle procedures. When the sun is not strong enough, Luna is more quiet and relaxed. She is still eager for battle, but will move slower and attack with less intensity.

Species: Slugma
Nickname: Squish
Gender: Female
Ability: Flame Body
History: After hatching from an egg taken from the Pokemon Day Care on Route 7 near Camphrier Town, Slugma was immediately given to Harper in the Anistar tournament. She began training at Harper's side and has been on Harper's Pokemon journeying team ever since.
Personality: Goofy and mischievous, Squish is always looking for ways to trick and prank Harper and Luna. She likes battling, but also enjoys other activities, such as playing games with Harper and her Pokemon. Squish is confident battler, but does not always obey Harper because of her confidence.

Species: Riolu
Nickname: Ranger
Gender: Male
Ability: Steadfast
History: First under the control of an abusive trainer, Ranger escaped to the Pokemon Village with the help of Wulfric. He grew up with the other mistreated Pokemon, afraid of battles. When Harper arrived, she agreed to boost his confidence by working on his battling skills. After a while of training, he decided to join her team.
Personality: Timid and unconfident, Ranger looks for frequent encouragement and guidance while battling. He is jumpy and nervous because of his traumatic past. When not battling, Ranger usually keeps to himself. He enjoys reading - a skill taught to him by Wulfric - and often asks Harper to acquire more children's books for him to read in his spare time.

Oh, no, you're totally fine. Really, you're kinda what I was looking for :p I kinda decided through the time of having no replies that I only wanted one other person, just so there would be a bit less chaos and there would be more interaction. Well, I guess I'll go make the post real quick and then post a link here once it's done.
