3rd Gen Shiny hunting question

I thought I'd try here because I haven't gotten an answer on Serebii.

You guys know how in R/S/E, a dry internal clock will cause shinies to appear at a specific frame all the time, and thus makes those games very RNG manipulative? I was wondering if this also happens in FR/LG at all, or if you can just Shiny hunt as normal.

Nope. Encountering Shinies has nothing to do with time. Whether your internal battery works and keeps the march of time or if it's dry and time is forever stopped you will always have that 1/8000 chance to encounter a Shiny.
