Niantic’s continuing push to refocus Pokémon Go back to its pre-pandemic ways sees a huge expansion on last month’s Community Day meetup events with more than 50 in-person events planned worldwide and PokéStop item bonuses for dozens more areas.

Along with changes to the community day format, bringing the previously 6-hour window back down to 3 hours and the changes to reduce the efficacy of Incense items when stationary, Niantic are extremely keen to make Community Days a social outdoors event once more following 2 years of being more lockdown-friendly.

All of these recent changes have come under some intense scrutiny from fans, both for acting as if the pandemic is suddenly over, and for effectively making the game less accessible to fans who – perhaps for the first time since its launch in 2016 – were able to enjoy playing the game thanks to the changes made to make it more playable from home.

Meanwhile, to celebrate Earth Day, which takes place the day before, Niantic have announced that they will plant a tree for every trainer who travels 5km while playing during the Community Day, up to a value of $100,000.

For anyone looking to participate in these meetups during the upcoming Stufful Community Day on the 23rd April, you can find every official meetup location and PokéStop bonus location on the map below, or in the list of locations underneath. For those who find their nearest event is too far away but would like to attend, it seems likely that this coverage may grow over future Community Days.
