A distribution has started in the UK and Europe that allows owners of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon the chance to get their hand on a Bottle Cap item. Having a Bottle Cap allows you to push one Pokémon's IV up to the maximum value of 31, so if you're a competitive player than you definitely want to get your hands on one!

The event is running via codes which can be obtained from GAME stores in the UK. The distribution started today and runs until the 28th of February and all codes must be used by the 13th of May or they'll no longer work.

As previously promised way back when the games were first announced,, Pokémon Bank has today been updated to add support for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, and a raft of new features. The Poké Transporter app, originally used for transferring Pokémon from the fifth generation games, has also been updated to allow transfer of the 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Green, and Pokémon Yellow.

This means that you can now bring Pokémon stored in your Bank into Pokémon Sun and Moon, regardless of which game they came from. Click through for full details – and the Mewnium Z giveaway...

A week before Sun/Moon officially drop, We got another information drop about the games - and perhaps because it is so close to release, an annoyingly vague one.

Read more about this new information.
EDIT 7th November: This article has been updated to reflect our stance on leaks from full copies of Pokémon Sun and Moon that have broken street date before release.

As some of you may know, Pokémon Sun and Moon's demo release was met by the datamining community with interest, and early this morning a large quantity of images were released depicting Pokémon Sun and Moon information that has not yet officially been revealed. Unfortunately, such information has not been sanctioned by Game Freak or Nintendo, and hosting it here would open us up to potential difficulties we are keen to avoid.

The practical effect of this is that we are not able to allow discussion, fanworks, or any other content involving leaked or datamined information, including that drawn from leaked copies of the game, until further notice. This does not include the info available as part of gameplay in the Sun and Moon demo. For example, any drawings of unrevealed Pokémon, mentions of them in the forums or profiles, and so on will be removed. Read more...
