Any other details such as news on a release for the US have not been given at this time. However, we'd expect the demo to show up on Thursday for the US as well, if not then very soon after. The full game is released worldwide for Nintendo Switch on the 22nd of September.

After three long and gruelling days of Pokémon battling, the 2016 Pokémon World Championships wrapped up yesterday afternoon in San Francisco - or earlier this morning depending on your timezone.
While the Pokkén Tournament finals were settled on Saturday, and its victors sadly missing during the Worlds closing ceremonies, our TCG and VGC finals were held on Sunday. Trophies were presented to our TCG and VGC winners during the closing ceremonies by Game Freak's Junichi Masuda and the Pokemon Company's president/CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara. Congratulations to all of our new champions and to the rest of the players who took part in this year's Pokémon World Championships, and an especially big congrats to our first ever Pokkén Tournament World Champions!
Today, after a brief tease about it last month, a new Pokemon has been announced as a fighter in Pokken Tournament - the first new fighter to be announced since the release of the Wii U version and the first indication of DLC content arriving for the console version as well.

That Pokemon is Darkrai, which also may confirm two other forthcoming Pokemon as last month, data mining of the most recent patch found references to Darkrai, Scizor and Empoleon in new files introduced to the game. With the confirmation of Darkrai's involvement, it makes it pretty likely that Scizor and Empoleon will be joining it in the future.

Previously, Nintendo, Namco Bandai and the Pokemon Company had all insisted there were no plans for DLC for Pokken Tournament. However, given that they said...

This means that the winners of the Nationals tournaments will be eligible for Worlds - joining the winners of the EVO and CEO championships later this summer.

This March, Pokecharms will be expanding into brand new territory as we launch a whole new website dedicated to the upcoming release of Pokken Tournament.

PokkenClub.com will be launching the same week as Pokken Tournament and from that week on will be the premiere source for news, features and all the vital stats on the Tournament’s competing Pokemon. In the coming weeks and months we will also be launching two more brand new features on the site:

The PokkenClub Community:

At launch the site won’t be open to new user registrations, but in the weeks after launch we will be opening the site up to begin building what will hopefully be the biggest and best dedicated Pokken Tournament community on the web. As well as a more typical forum discussion area, you will be able to create your own profiles on the site, complete with your own personal space for uploading screenshots, videos and...
