Anyone been waiting for Unova Cap Pikachu? Because it's your lucky week!

From today until October 16th, plugging in the PIKACHU20 code via the Mystery Gift menu will net you a Unova Cap Pikachu. Like with all of the previous Ash Cap Pikachu, this special code can be used on copies of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon but it can only be used once per save file.

(You mean there's still two more of these to come!?)

Pokken Tournament Demo.jpg
After a reveal during the Pokémon World Championships over the weekend, it has today been revealed that the Pokkén Tournament DX demo will be coming to Europe on the Switch's eShop this Thursday.

Any other details such as news on a release for the US have not been given at this time. However, we'd expect the demo to show up on Thursday for the US as well, if not then very soon after. The full game is released worldwide for Nintendo Switch on the 22nd of September.

Additional information (as well as new official art) has surfaced in regard to the new Dusk Form of Lycanroc from a CoroCoro leak and a new Japanese promotional video.

Like the other Lycanroc forms, this one is pure Rock -Type. Its height is 2'07'' (0.8 m), its weight is 55.1 lbs (25 kg), its ability is Tough Claws and it gets both Accelerock (Midday Lycanroc's signature move) and Counter (a move that Midnight Lycanroc learns but Midday Lycanroc doesn't).

The new information also provides final confirmation that Dusk form Lycanroc is an event Pokémon only, akin to Ash-Greninja (and with the same reasons for existing, to be perfectly honest). Dusk Lycanroc cannot be found in the wild and no wild Rockruffs found in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon can evolve into Dusk Lycanroc. The only way to obtain this thing is by evolving a special event Rockruff that will be distributed over the Nintendo Network between November 17, 2017 and January 10, 2018, for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon only (obviously).

One of the things confirmed in this year's Nintendo E3 Direct was, straight from the mouth of Pokemon Company President Tsunekazu Ishihara, that a new main series Pokemon game was in development for the Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, despite rumours about a possible Pokemon Stars version of Sun/Moon coming to the Switch this year, this new game will be at least a year away. It's seeming pretty certain now that, although Pokemon Stars may well have been a thing once upon a time, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have taken its place. It's very likely that when Pokemon debuts on the Switch at some point around 2018/2019, it will be an entirely new Generation.
